Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

Aaron took the box that Xavier had handed to him with a smile and began to open it. He gasped and his face lit up as he peered inside and soon took out a beautifully embroidered black and white scarf- the colors of the Montrose Magpies Quidditch team that he would be soon playing for in his first game in the professional league ever next month. It had his name and last name on it, and it was beautiful. Although it wasn’t too cold, Aaron immediately put it on and wrapped it around his neck, grinning and he went to go wrap his boyfriend in a tight hug. “Oh you’re too sweet! It’s the best! Just like you gave me that one year at Hogwarts! Maybe even better!” he said cheerfully. His heart was full of joy.

Xavier was excited to see Aaron's reaction and he smiled when he opened it. A grin crossed his face as Aaron put it on immediately, before he wrapped Xavier up in a hug. Xavier wrapped his arms around Aaron back as he laughed. "I'm glad you love it. Once I get your number, I'll add it to it." He said with a smile. "But, I got you something else too love." He said, gently pulling away from Aaron. "Close your eyes love" He said before turning to the bedroom. He went in and grabbed the long box under the bed. He'd wrapped it in black and white wrapping paper and smiled. He walked out of the bedroom, stood in front of Aaron with the box in his hands, holding it out to him. "You can open up babe." He said, excitement in his heart as he waited to see Aaron's reaction.

“Aww, really?” Aaron asked with a smile as Xavier said that he’d embroider his number onto it once he got it. “That would be neat! I wonder what number I’ll get! Will they give me it or can I choose? It’s the pro leagues so I dunno,” he said, wondering aloud. He then perked up and raised his eyebrows as Xavier had said that he had gotten him something else. “What? Are you serious? Another one?” he asked in disbelief. “Sweetheart you know you didn’t need to do that at all…” he said with a slight frown. “I got too damn lucky,” he said, a smile returning to his head as he shook it from side to side slowly. He then furrowed his brow curiously as Xavier brought out a very long box from under the tree. Aaron took it and began to open it. His jaw practically dropped to the floor and Aaron almost dropped the box in his hands and the item in it to the ground. It was a new Firebolt broom. “Bloody hell! No way! A Firebolt! Xavier! You know how much these cost?! How hard they are to get?!” Aaron said loudly in disbelief. He gently took the broom out of the box and admired it with big hazel eyes. “You really are the best!” he said joyfully. “Thank you!”

The smile on Aaron's face made Xavier's day instantly. He had a huge smile on his face as he watched Aaron open the box revealing the broom. He looked at his boyfriend with a loving smile. "Cost doesn't matter, you deserve it. The moment I saw you get that contract offer, I knew what I was going to get you for Christmas. A beautiful new broom for my Professional Quidditch player" Xaie said. He'd worked a lot over the last months to save up for that broom and the smile and excitement on his boyfriends face made it all worth it. "I try my best" He added softly rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm just really glad you love it" He said. "Now you can show all those professionals how its done on your shiny new broom" He added with a grin.

Aaron gently set his new Firebolt broomstick down and ran over to Xavier to tackle him with another loving hug. “I love it! Almost as much as you! Close, but not as much!” he laughed jokingly. Really, there was nothing that came close to the amount of love he felt towards his boyfriend- not even food. “This is the best Christmas ever mate,” he said, closing his eyes and smiling as he held Xavier to him tightly.

Xavier had enjoyed that Christmas almost as much as the others they'd shared. The joy on Aaron's face as he'd opened the box with his new broomstick in it had made Xavier extremely happy. He'd worked hard for that and it was worth it. It had been quiet rest of December for the two, even with Xavier still heading to work during the afternoon. The day before Aaron had to leave was solemn, Xavier tried hard to put it out of his mind by doing things that kept him busy. Cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bedroom anything but look at the packed trunk and broom stick. That night, he'd held on tight to Aaron, wanting to remember laying beside him when he wouldn't be the next night.

That morning, Xavier had held strong and given Aaron a huge hug and a rather passionate kiss goodbye, before watching him leave their flat. Suddenly the flat was even quieter than before. He had never been by himself like this, it was strange and he hated it. Xavier went into their bedroom and grabbed one of Aaron's jackets and slipped it on. The comforting scent of his boyfriend wrapped around him as he watched something on the television. Xavier knew he'd see Aaron again, but right now he was way to unnerved. He spent a lot of time keeping busy, between work and cleaning the house consistently the days went by. He was handling it okay, until night time. Xavier was beginning to have issues sleeping again, and he made himself some sleeping draught and started taking some at night. It worked, mostly.

The sun broke through the windows that morning waking Xavier up. He had his arms wrapped around Aaron's jacket again. He got up from the bed, looking at the calendar before his face lit up. That's right, today was the day! It was January 14th, a Saturday and Aaron's first official game as a chaser for the Magpies. Xavier had Saturdays off so he didn't have to ask for the time. He quickly got dressed in black pants with a white shirt, throwing on Aaron's jacket. Was it big on Xavier? Yep. Did he care? Nope. He grabbed the tickets that were on the table, tucking them into his pocket. Aaron wasn't wrong, he'd mailed Xavier the best front row seats in the pitch. Xavier made his way through the floo network and in a few moments, he was at the pitch. He could feel the energy in the air, the excitement thrumming in his own veins.

Xavier walked, rather quickly, towards the pitch. He showed his ticket to the usher who helped him find his seat. It was in the dead center stand front row and had the best view of the entire pitch. He couldn't keep his excitement down as he eagerly waited for the game to start. He wrapped Aaron's jacket tighter around him to keep him warm as he waited, his hands gripped the railing of the stands.

Their first Christmas Day alone together in their flat was a big success. It was one that Aaron would remember for the ages. He’d had lots of fun and absolutely loved every gift that Xavier had given him. Aaron would get to spend a few quality days with his boyfriend before he had to leave for Montrose to report to practice and training. Their first game of the season would be in January and at home in Montrose, Scotland, where the Magpies played their home games. The night before Aaron had to leave for Scotland, he noticed that Xavier had held on to him tighter and snuggled in closer as they slept. The next morning, Aaron shared a passionate kiss as he said goodbye to his beloved boyfriend. While he was extremely excited to be going to Quidditch training with his new professional league team, he was going to miss Xavier dearly.

The next week or two at Montrose were beyond fun for Aaron. While his boyfriend was always in his thoughts, it was so cool to meet the whole team, use his new Firebolt broom, and practice on a professional league sized Quidditch pitch. His teammates were mostly older, a majority of whom were in their twenties and a few veteran players in their thirties. But they all took their new rookie in and under their wing. In fact, one of the team’s other chasers, a former Gryffindor at Hogwarts a bit before Aaron’s time, had offered to let him stay in his home so he had a place to sleep. Aaron was very grateful for this. The man, who was in his thirties, was one of the veterans of their team, happily married with two kids, who Aaron found he got along with very well.

The whole ordeal honestly made Aaron want kids of his own, but that would be something to think about another day. For the weeks leading up to opening day, which was set for January 14th, 1999 in Montrose, the Magpies had been practicing and training hard for the season. Finally, the day had arrived, and Aaron couldn’t be more excited. Not only was he making his professional Quidditch debut, but Xavier was coming to Montrose to watch him in action during his first pro league match. He’d certainly have some extra motivations in the stands today. That, and the fact that he wanted to make a good impression on his coaches and teammates. Funny enough, for their first match, they were playing the Kenmare Kestrals, the team an eleven year old Aaron had seen play in the stands as an audience member. Now he was a player for one of the greatest Quidditch teams of all time.

Adrenaline surged through Aaron’s veins as the team prepared to step out of the locker room and take to the pitch. The field was huge and had a lot more open space than the one at Hogwarts. This was professional sized. The crowd was also overwhelming large and had even more die hard fans than Gryffindor, which Aaron didn’t even think was possible. The crowd was much bigger and huge, full of passionate fans cheering loudly, all of which Aaron could hear from the locker room. Their captain then led them out and the audience erupted into cheers as the public address announcer introduced the Montrose Magpies to the field. Aaron grinned as he flew onto the field on his new broomstick. The eighteen year old rookie was the youngest one on the pitch, but he was more than ready for this. He’d wanted this for a very long time, so he wasn’t going to let it go to waste now that he had made it here.

Xavier was literally vibrating with excitement as he watched Aaron and his team come out onto the pitch. He cheered loudly as he saw his boyfriend on his new broom. He looked absolutely stunning and attractive in his professional Quidditch outfit. Xavier whooped and cheered loudly for him. It was an odd twist of fate that Xavier's former favorite team The Kenmare Kestrals was the team playing against the Montrose Magpies. Of course, now Xavier's favorite team was the Montrose Magpies. He watched with eager eyes as the other team was introduced and then the referee enchanted the bludgers and snitch before the quaffle was released. Xavier gripped the railing tighter as the Quaffle was thrown up and into play. The game had started.

Aaron thought his ear drums were going to burst as the crowd welcomed him and his team to the pitch. Aaron grinned proudly as they introduced him as the rookie seeker, number 71 (reverse of his former number 17 since it was taken), Aaron Hoskins. He dawned black and white robes, the uniform of the Montrose Magpies. It was virtually impossible for Aaron to sort out where Xavier was in the crowd unlike when he could easily find him in the Hufflepuff student section back at Hogwarts. Soon, the referees released the quaffle and other balls and the match had started. There was no Madame Hooch this time officiating the game but instead, multiple professional referees. Aaron zoomed on his broom, eager to score his first point ever as a professional player.

Xavier didn't know if Aaron could see him, but he didn't care. He was too busy watching him play. Number 71, Xavier knew it would be easy to remember since it was the reverse of his Hogwarts number. His eyes didn't know where to focus first, but his cheers and screams were loud but nowhere near as loud as the stadium itself was. He felt other fans excitement, his eyes would find Aaron every so often zooming around the large pitch, and he'd yell and cheer every single time he did saw his boyfriend. Pride was on his face, in his yells and cheers and he had a great feeling that they'd win.

The professional Quidditch game at this level was much faster paced than it was at Hogwarts. The match was off to a great start. Some of Aaron’s teammates and fellow Magpie chasers had opened up the scoring putting Montrose in the lead. Aaron pursued the quaffle vigilantly. Aaron noticed that he was much smaller and less muscular than the other players both on his team and on the opposing one, easily getting knocked out of the way. But, that didn’t keep his spirits down and he still went after the quaffle, looking for his first goal.

Xavier had noticed that Aaron was smaller than the other players, and he'd wince every time his boyfriend was knocked out of the way. Montrose was currently in the lead and Xavier could tell that Aaron was still trying his hardest to get his first goal. "Come on Aaron!" Xavier yelled, not knowing if he heard him or not, he didn't care. He'd scream his partners name out to the universe in each cheer. Someone beside him dressed in black and white fan gear looked at him curiously. "Who's Aaron?" She asked over the noise of the crowd. "Huh? Oh, he's the new chaser. I'm his boyfriend." Xavier said and she nodded. "He's really good for being a rookie" He nodded. "I know." He said with confidence. She laughed "You must be very proud" She said. "I am, he deserves this" Xavier said. The pair fell silent in talking only, but both were now cheering on not only the team, but Aaron as well.

The die hard fans were aware of their team’s new rookie presence and hoped he could make an impact instantly. Some of the more casual fans didn’t know much about Aaron Hoskins or even that number 71 was on the field and playing if they hadn’t paid attention to the player introductions. But, Aaron, fueled by the passionate cheering of the home fans in the crowd, went after the quaffle. Finally, he and got one, and worked to get to the hoop, which was harder to do now that the pitch was bigger than the one he was used to playing on at Hogwarts. But he’d been practicing for two weeks getting used to the bigger field and slowly adjusting.

Xavier and his new friend, Kayley, watched with eager eyes as Aaron managed to get a hold of the quaffle. "Come on babe! You got this!" Again, he knew Aaron couldn't hear him, but he didn't care. Kayley cheered beside him, yelling the number 71 loudly. Xavier cheered wildly, watching as Aaron worked his way to the hoop. The pitch was surely daunting with its size, but that's what practice was for. Xavier waited with baited breath as he watched his boyfriend make his way across the pitch.

Aaron could practically taste it as he raced to the hoop, quaffle tucked snuggly under his arm. He approached the hoop and it seemed his smaller size was benefiting him as he was fast. Aaron then threw the quaffle through the hoop, scoring for Montrose. The crowd roared as the rookie scored his first goal in the pro leagues.

Xavier watched as Aaron's smaller size seemed to work for him, shooting towards the hoop and scoring his very first goal in his very first Pro League match. "Way to go! Woo!" Xavier cheered, he looked at Kayley as they both cheered. "71! 71! 71!" Xavier started chanting, Kayley laughed and started chanting too. The chanting of number 71 began to catch on as the Montrose fans cheered on the rookie number 71. It swept through the Montrose stands like fire.

The crowd cheered louder than they ever had. The rookie scoring was a huge moment. Soon enough, Aaron could hear chants of his number, 71, rising throughout the crowd. He didn’t know Xavier had started it. Aaron grinned proudly, his heart swelling from the warm welcome and appreciation from the Montrose fans.

Xavier didn't care that Aaron had no idea how it started, his heart was full of pride for his boyfriend. He watched as the game continued on, Montrose holding the strong lead. He and Kayley continued to cheer on Aaron, he was happy that he'd found someone so willing to cheer his boyfriend on with him. It made it all the more fun, not that he wasn't having fun anyway.

Aaron didn’t have much time to soak in the crowd chanting his number as he had to get right back to work and in the play. A few minutes later, he’d score another goal, securing Montrose’s solid lead over Kenmare. The game was coming to a close, all the players sweaty and their hair windswept.

Xavier watched as the game was drawing to a close, but he saw Aaron score another goal. Eventually the game ended with Montrose taking the game by a large amount of points. Xavier was ecstatic as he watched the team win as the game ended. He cheered loudly as did Kayley right beside him. The crowd roared in excitement at the end result. Xavier was proud of his boyfriend. He'd won his very first Pro League game and Xavier was cheering for him as loud as his voice could go.

The game came to a close with a decisive victory for the Montrose Magpies. Aaron pumped his fist in the air triumphantly and grinned. The crowd erupted and the Montrose players on the field celebrated. Aaron joined his teammates in a post-win hug, embracing in victory for the first time with his new team. It felt good, and even better that he had scored more than once in his first game.

Xavier watched as Aaron and his teammates celebrated on the field. He hoped he’d be able to congratulate his boyfriend before he had to leave. “Hey, your boyfriend’s pretty good” Kayley said. “He did very well for his first game” She added. “Thanks, he was born to be on a broom” Xavier said with a fond smile. “It was nice meeting you, maybe I’ll see you at another game” Kayley said. “Definitely.” Xavier told her, waving as she walked away. He looked back down at the field, his arms crossed and resting on the railing, head resting on his arms. He remembered their very first flying lesson and how well Aaron had done. He remembered his first Quidditch game and when he’d won the cup for Gryffindor in their third year. Yes, Aaron truly was born to play Quidditch.

Unfortunately for Xavier (and Aaron), this wasn’t like Hogwarts Quidditch where the student spectators could storm the field and interact with the players (that they were most likely friends with). This was a professional game so Xavier couldn’t come down to the field- no one could. Aaron celebrated the home opening victory with his teammates on the pitch and then gave a salute and wave to the crowd, who cheered appreciatively for their victorious players. The Kenmare Kestrals flew off the field and headed to the visiting team’s locker room. Once Aaron was done with the fanfare and done in the locker room, he’d meet Xavier and say hello to him for the first time in two weeks.

Xavier knew he'd have to wait to see Aaron. The rules were very different from when they'd been at Hogwarts. He finally exited the stands, and headed down towards the fields surrounding the pitch. Scotland was beautiful and he'd only seen pieces of it before from walking around the castle and Hogsmeade. Xavier knew vaguely where the locker rooms were, and he knew Aaron would come find him. It had been two weeks since he'd hugged his boyfriend and Xavier absolutely refused to not see him before he left. He'd missed the tight squeezes, the soft kisses, and he wrapped Aaron's jacket tighter around himself. It was definitely colder now that he didn't have the body heat of all the fans around him. Xavier found a rock and sat down, looking like he was wrapped in a blanket but it was clearly his boyfriends jacket. He looked towards the general area of the locker rooms and waited patiently.

After a wave to the crowd, the Montrose Magpies team headed to the locker rooms. The mood was good and the vibes were high. Aaron wore a smile on his face as he took off his gear and robes. He couldn’t wait to meet his boyfriend outside of the locker room. The rookie was the first of his team to leave the room after taking a shower and dressing into some civilian clothes. Outside, sure enough, Xavier was there waiting for him. Aaron’s hazel eyes widened, his heart leapt with joy, and a big excited grin appeared on his face. The newly professional chaser ran towards his boyfriend and tackled him with a tight hug. He hadn’t seen Xavier in a while since he last left for Scotland. “Baby! I’m so glad to see you, Xaie!” Aaron said. He then noticed that Xavier was wearing one of his coats. “Are you wearing one of my coats?” Aaron asked his boyfriend with a chuckle.
