Fantasy The Underground

"Personally I cannot wait to see how this endeavor turns out." she smiled cooley at Gareth and the human. Then her face seemingly lit up as a thought struck her.

"Oh, and human. I have a slight favor to as of you. If you happen to see another of your kind who is rather young, but with hair as white as snow. Could you kindly send him here or bring him here? I have some things to discuss with him. I know not all humans know each other, but you seem resourceful enough." Her smile was sweet as can be as she spoke. "And of course only with the kings permission as well. If not I will gladly meet elsewhere."

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

As Lucas became a bit lost in thought over the prospect of the plan coming together as it was, he nearly missed the Grand Faries request. But when she mentioned a human with white hair his attention was perked and he smiled at her.

"Intéressant, It seems you and I have a common ally Grande Fée. Why no more than a few days ago I ran into Monsieur Sisceal as he approached my door spilling his blood. Fear not thought, I patched him up and sent him along on his way with a friend. Whom I have not heard from in some time. Hmmmm."

Lucas began to rub his chin in thought, he had not seen Atlas or Sisceal since the two had made their way back to the surface. Not that it was necessarily his concern, but that much time on the surface can be dangerous for Fae, even ones as cleaver as Atlas. He would need to look into the situation. HE returned his glance to the Fairy and smiled before he worried her.

"Ne t'inquiète pas Mademoiselle, I am sure they are fine. I will personally see to it that he makes his way back here to meet with you."

With that he bowed once more to the grand fairy, and once more to the king before turning to make his leave back to his shop.

@Axel1313 @Beowulf

"Oh goodness." A look of worry crossed her face as she heard that the one she sought had been seen in such a state. "Well I thank you very much for taking care of him. And for the offer to bring him and his friend back here. I wish you luck in reaching him before my little fairies. They can be too rough at times." She chuckled softly, dusting off her robes as she stood and waving to the human as he left. "Gareth dear, do you need anything while you recover? I can ask for some wonderful sweets from my home if you please?"

@zCrookedz @Beowulf

"Thanks lad, but I think they'd find me no matter what...as long as we delay their plans for whatever it is though I'm in." He picked up the pace as the fairies started to spout insults in their direction. It was so odd how such delicate and beautiful little creatures could swear like sailors and make so many obscene gestures. At least they didn't seem to keen on following the wraith. Hopefully they were the only things following them too.

@Aridis (@rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf )

"Nonetheless," he went on to say, smiling at the elder with a polite nod, "I would like to at least do this much."

Because he really couldn't do much else. Seriously, within their little parade they had a guard, two princes, and Shion.

Just Shion.

Considering what he was and how they were arranged, he could've easily been considered the "royal pet" or something of the like. The demon would do as he offered, then most likely leave the rest to Buras - if anything, he felt like he'd be a hindrance to their experience.

Well, that's what he at least tried to convince himself of.

Truth be told, he wanted to zap away; Vytas he had met with impression that the raven was just some kid with a trouble-seeking personality. So, he wasn't overwhelmed.

But then came Austere. Granted, that wasn't the overwhelming part, it was the heavy guard and the information that followed that knocked Shion's head.

The redhead maintained his smile to the two before giving another nod. "It'll be fun," he said.

@Axel1313 @Aridis @Beowulf

And now he felt like an idiot. Once they got outside, it should've been his first move. But no, he had to go down the more difficult path.

Slowing his pace a bit, Atlas turned his attention to the fairies. While they weren't physically touching the ground, they still had shadows; although they were pretty small. There was no need to make any fancy hand motions, or to mutter any incantations like in the movies. For him, it was just a matter of mentally telling his shadow to do whatever. That being said, it was a fairly simple task to "tell" his shadow to stop the angered fairies where they where.

The Wraith wasn't a complete about it. He didn't do what he did to Black and control their movements, or threaten to strangle them. In fact, the only thing rude about the action was the fact that he was further preventing them from achieving their goal. But, considering how they were acting, Atlas didn't see it as his concern.

Once that task was accomplished, he began pulling Sisceal in a random direction again. "Okay, fair enough." It was only when they were far enough away from the magical beings that he would release them.

@Axel1313

(don't mind me, just gunna skip to where they actually go out...)

The moment that they stepped out of the tunnel-like passage, and into the outside world, Vytas almost lost it. He was bouncing up and down so fast that he was practically vibrating; every nerve in his body sparked up with excited energy. Although it may look like an ordinary place to just about anyone else, the raven saw it as a land full of wonders and adventure. What's more, the moon and the few stars that were visible captivated him the moment he lay eyes on them.

Just everything about the city was awesome.

It was an endless open space, with no walls or guards to prevent people from escaping. Instead of a tall ceiling, it only had a wide open sky. Here, there was a breeze, and varying temperatures instead of just a continuously stale one. To put it simply, he loved it. And the moment he got a glimpse, Vytas never wanted to leave.

His excitement was so extensive, in fact, that he temporarily forgot about his promise. Without thinking any of his actions through, the boy attempted to run ahead of everyone else and go off to adventure a bit.

@Beowulf @Axel1313 @Hoki

Vytas' running ahead business initially brought along one other person; Shion.

He shot forward a bit after the prince made his getaway, not really allowed much time to marvel at their location.

God, he hated to do this to the kid but feared that Vytas' sudden actions would get him into trouble, cutting the trip short.

"Woah!" Shion called, wrapping his arms around the raven from behind so that he could lift Vytas off of the ground and stop his escape- Eh, but not his legs from the excitement of running.

Whatever.

The raijuu turned the kid back around but had yet to put him down. "Vytas, calm down!" he instructed quickly, unable to keep a small smile of amusement from breaking into his features, "We'll get there, we'll get there; the park will have plenty of exploring."

--People were staring.

Some of the humans that were up late looked at the two making a scene, squinting and mumbling in confusion to their companions.

But thankfully humans didn't give too much of a hoot so it was brushed off easily.

@Aridis @Axel1313 @Beowulf

The fairies were furious that they couldn't follow him because of the wraith. Swearing as loudly as they could they turned around and headed straight back to the Underground.

"Oooh thank the Lord we got away from those things." He panted. Now that they were far enough away it was catching up to him and man...was he out of shape. "So....how about we finally get to my place eh? Kick back and grab a drink...maybe pass out for a few days?" He joked.

@Aridis (@rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf )

As soon as they were on the surface his breath caught sharply in his chest. He struggled not to shake in his boots, things had changed so much since he'd been here. Everything was so much...bigger and brighter. He quickly flipped up his hood and tugged on his long braid nervously. Sticking as close to Buras as he possibly could as well to avoid a panic attack in the middle of the crowd.

"C....can we get to said park as fast as possible? Or try and avoid the crowds? I'm...I'm not a fan of humans..."

@Aridis @Beowulf @Hoki

Silver looked from the man down to the tip jar, a wide smile spreading across her face as she leaned her elbow on the counter, resting her head on her palm. "You know," She started simply, her long tendrils of brown hair slowly escaping the hairdo she had tried to up on, "You are pretty generous for a man going blind." She teased, smiling back at him.

@Axel1313

"Well when you've been through what I have. When you've got nothing to give you treasure generosity." He smiled sweetly and took a big sip of his drink. Long black strands of hair and an even longer streak of pure white falling all in front of his face. "I can't help but help others out...when not causing headaches and trouble of course." He chuckled.

@IceQueen

He wasn't as exhausted as Sisceal, but the combined weariness of the last couple of hours was starting to take its toll on him. So, the other's offer seemed like one of the most holy things out there; even if it was a joke. Chuckling softly, he ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah, that sounds awesome. Dunno about the drinking bit, though. Pretty sure that I'd get in trouble for that one." Eh, give it like two more years and the answer would flip. But, for now, he had to be a responsible little Wraith.

@Axel1313 (@rosamortelle @zCrookedz @Beowulf )

It took a moment for him to stop struggling, but he eventually gave up. Shion was right, and he did kind of have a promise that he needed to keep. Although, that didn't necessarily stop a small pout from popping up on his expression. "Okay... Okay fine. Deal, park it is." He huffed. Squirming around a bit more, Vytas somehow managed to free himself from the other's grasp; only to hop ahead a couple of feet in order to return to a bit of sightseeing.

Despite him being a little bit disappointed that he wasn't allowed to do whatever he wanted, he was still excited to be out here. So far, it was well worth the prison sentence he had agreed to. The grin soon returned to his face, and he slowly spun around every couple of seconds; trying to see as much as he could of his surroundings. This, along with Austere's more-nervous-than-usual tone, tipped him off that there was something a tad wrong with his brother.

Raising an eyebrow, Vytas tilted his head to the side slightly. Sure, the elder had claimed that he didn't like humans, but this was a bit of a concerning reaction. "Hey...You okay?"

@Hoki @Axel1313 @Beowulf

"Alright then, I've got better coffee and lemonade than hard drinks anyway." He laughed. "How about that and some lemon squares? I can make some that would knock the socks right off the devil." He grinned and straightened himself out. "Now....I think we're closer to my place from here fortunately. I recognize some of this area. Looks like our luck is turning around!"

@Aridis (@rosamortelle @Beowulf @zCrookedz )

"I...I'll be fine okay?" He smiled to hide it, but he was most certainly not okay. He didn't just dislike humans. He was terrified of them, ever since the incident when he was small...even smaller than Vytas was now. It was a horrid one too and just the memories of it that were flooding in were making his scar ache. "Let's just keep moving. There's a lot to see" He gulped, he could feel himself close to hyperventilating and he felt like he was losing sight in his good eye now too.

@Aridis @Beowulf @Hoki

Sliver felt a small laugh bubbling in her throat, lifting her arm off the counter as she started taking someone else's order for a minute, before turning back to Marius. "Well then you should at the least let me pay you back a bit, I get off at 12." she mentioned casually as she started making the customers drink.

@Axel1313

Quickly intervening, Shion put his hands on Vytas' shoulders, a large smile plastered onto his face. "Come on!" he exclaimed cheerfully, sending a brief, rather understanding look towards the elder prince, "Let's go to the park! We'll play on the swings, and the monkey bars-"

The raijuu was starting to steer the raven away, towards the rather large field of grass with the white-steeled beams of support that held up a rather impressive jungle gym.

"-and the slide! We can play tag, too, and..."

He would go on about other things they could do there, and things that they could do later that was nearby - including the souvenir Shion had promised. Leaving Austere with Buras, whom he seemed to feel safer with anyways, the demon hoped to distract Vytas.

@Aridis @Axel1313 @Beowulf

He looked up and raised an eyebrow at her proposal. "I suppose that's fair enough." His smiled brightened and he slicked his hair back and out of his face. "I'll probably take a nap in the corner. As long as your boss doesn't mind a bum laying around the place till 12."

@IceQueen

Silver smiled as he mentioned taking a nap in the corner. Chuckling, Silver finished up the other customer's drink, sliding it onto a tray along with a slice of cake he had ordered. "It won't bother him too much. Better than the couples who are practically stripping themselves in the booth. Besides, your my guest for the day, he will have no problem." She said, walking out from behind the counter and towards her customer's table.

@Axel1313

The shop light outside Lafluer's cast a eerie amount of shadows into the shop as Lucas sat in the darkness. The bulbs had been blown in all of the lamps and lights of the shop, and only moments before there had been an explosion that rattled the very foundation of the shop. No thought, only Lucas sat in the shops center with all of the shelves pushed to the sides. He had cleared the space for the ritual of the first binding and now in the circle etched into the wood flooring sat a glowing red object.

Lucas shifted from his seat atop his desk and slowly walked over to the glowing object. He knelt down to get a closer look at the amulet that lay on the ground glowing like a hot coal. He had been able to procure the amulet he had ordered fairly quickly and had immediately set to work on the first binding. Which had not been easy at all. He looked from the amulet to the little goat skull carving placed next to it and sighed. Lucas reached for the stone, which sizzled again his hand when he touched it. It did not burn him physically so Lucas lifted the silver amulet and starred at the small symbol etched into the face under the Draconite stone placed in the center.

"Pardon Bade, But this for the good of all Fey kind."

The soft glow of Jimbo's eye sockets began to fill once more with light as the shrunken head came back to life. He made a strange contorting motion with his jaw trying to stretch before looking over to Lucas as he stuffed the amulet into his pocket.

"Eh, Bade wasn't goin down wit out a fight eh? Ya know Sogbo is gonna come lookin fer 'is bro'da soon."

Lucas made his way back over to the desk and picked his hat up of the floor where it had landed during the ritual. He dusted it off a bit and placed it on his head before looking over at Jimbo with his usual smile.

"I'm counting on that Jim. But for now, we wait. We have a mission from Grande Fée and you are coming with me."

Lucas scooped the head off the desk and held him over the top of his cane. With a quick twist and a click, Jimbo replaced the usual three skull pommel of the cane and he and Lucas made their way towards the shops exit. Lucas clicked the lock shut on the door before heading back into the alley.

"So w'at we gots ta do fer da Fairy?"

Lucas felt the skull shifting under his hand as he walked, the cane clicking against the street. He reached into his jacket pocket and fished around for a moment before pulling out a small vial that looked a bit familiar to Jimbo. The special bottle had kept the blood inside since Lucas had collected it fresh and Lucas unstopped the bottle and lifted Jimbo's cane up so his head was facing the sky.

"We are looking for a lost sheep Jim. No open up."

Jimbo opened his dried mouth to reveal a darkness inside him that was otherworldly. Lucas popped the cork and slowly poured the blood into his open mouth. It disappeared into the darkness as Jimbo's eye slowly turned yellow. When the blood was gone Lucas returned the cork and the bottle to his jacket and continued on, letting Jimbo be the navigator for there journey which would take them to the one place in the worlds Lucas hated, The Surface.

"You'll both be ok." Buras said. 'You'll both be ok, or I'll be a gnomes lost brother.' he thought to himself as a steely resolution made his hands tighten their grip on the halberd. "Remember what I said. No further then a block away, and only for an hour. Then we shall go back to the castle." Where their father will no doubt have a few words with them. More for Vytas then Austere, but words none the less. As he spoke, he kept his eyes and giant senses on high alert, ready to hide himself and the princes at a moments notice. Or die protecting them. Which ever one he had to do.

@Axel1313 @Aridis @Hoki

((Not sure if there's anything else I have to respond to, so sorry if I didn't reply to everything.))

Even though the other's statement could've possibly jinxed them, Atlas didn't care much. For the time being, however short the opportunity was, he was just happy to have a moment of peace. No one trying to kill them, or trying to steal his new friend away. Even though both threats were probably desperately trying to continue bugging the duo, they weren't there at that moment. So, it was an easy task to delude himself into thinking that everything would be alright. The normal things that Sisceal was talking about definitely helped, too.

Laughing along with the other, it was almost impossible to wipe the smile off of his face. While things remained as they were, his mood visibly brightened. "I'll take whatever you think won't kill me from too much deliciousness. I'm starving! Lemon squares would be my saving Grace right about now." Allowing Sisceal to take the lead, the Wraith just happily followed along.

@Axel1313 @zCrookedz @Beowulf @rosamortelle

If it came as a surprise to anyone, it was a bit difficult to effectively distract Vytas. He was genuinely concerned about his brother, and actually felt a bit bad for dragging him up here. Given, he had no idea what was causing the elder to act like he was; but it definitely had to be something really bad. Telling Buras to take him back down to the Underground probably wasn't an option. Knowing the guard, he'd probably just flip out and drag Vytas along for the trip back as well.

At this point, there was even a small part of him that wanted the hour to fly by a bit faster; if only for Austere's mental health.

Still, he allowed himself to be pushed away from the duo of magically. Only half of his attention went to Shion and what he was talking about; but on a normal day he'd be jumping up and down like a kangaroo. Now, all he could maintain was the goofy grin.

"How are you so sure I don't sleep naked?" He teased. Taking another big swig of his coffee before standing up to head to the corner. "I'll take another coffee. Something a little less sweet this time. I'll need a pick me up when I wake up again." He laughed. He took the seat in the darkest booth he could find. He may not burn up in it but sunlight still hurt his eyes horribly.

@IceQueen

"Then lets get moving!" His smile brightened as he led the way. He was certain he knew the way now. His place was only a few blocks from the park nearby, which could be seen between some buildings. "I have ta warn ya. It's not the fanciest of places, but at least it's cozy. I may have been sent over here on bad terms but at least a few were kind enough to make sure I was outta the rain and wouldn't starve." He chuckled. The building he lived in definitely needed some tender love and care on the outside, but at least that made it hard to miss among the other buildings around it. Not to mention the street was fairly quiet as well.

@Aridis @zCrookedz @rosamortelle @Beowulf

"I...I know." He gulped, his face seeming to sink further into the shadows of his hood. His breathing was erratic, but he was trying his best to hide it so he did not ruin the fun for his brother. "Let's just go o..okay? Not waste time here or stand in one place for too long." He too a deep breath in with his mouth and blew steaming hot smoke out of his nose. Sort of a nervous habit of his that seemed to at least calm him down a bit.

@Aridis @Hoki @Beowulf

Silver chuckled, feeling her cheeks warm slightly. "Now if you do that I will make you wait outside for my shift to end." She threatened lightly, going back to the counter to start making his second coffee. "I'll make sure it's there. If you don't wake up in time though it might end up on your head." She jested back as he left her at the counter. Smiling, she continued to work, hoping her shift would end faster.

@Axel1313

"Of course I am," Penelope responded as she slung a moderately large duffle around her shoulders and followed Black out the door, only to take lead as she made her way to her car parked outside. Tablet still in her hand, Penelope noticed that the glowing dot of the tracker had begun to move on the map. "Well cheese and rice there moving." Penelope threw her keys into Black's direction as she locked int the coordinates of the tracker to the car's gps. "Black I hope you know how drive. I'm going to keep track of the the human's location. Connor you'll be in the backseat and I want big explosions to be ready when we reach wherever they are. I know they've left the hospital but let's do a drive by check. If it isn't are ticket into the underground, we cross another fae run building off our list. As for where the tracker is heading, I think its another apartment building so I'll have someone at base alert the other humans living there. Oh and let's try not to screw this up again, one wrong move and we've lost our lead."

@Beowulf @zCrookedz (Also I'm trying to figure out what to do with Aranha.)

Buras rested a massive hand on Austere's shoulder. Looking down on the anxious prince, he says "Nothing will happen to him, or you. Not while I still breath." With the elder prince hopefully reassured, he turns his attention to the surrounding and Vytas. The Gods knew that Vytas needed to be kept out of trouble. And everyone knew that the Human world was getting more and more dangerous as the years went on. That damnable Order.

@Axel1313 @Aridis

"I just need a rest dear." Gareth said, laying his head back on the floor. "The sweets would be appreciated. But time will work the best, I think." Now that he thought about it, he felt... less full. Not empty, certainly not that. Just that a piece of him was missing, a piece that should not be missing. He had heard of how people who have lost a limb claim to still occasionally feel it. He hoped it wouldn't be the case here. It would be a very big bother to him running the Underground.

@Axel1313

"And I'd started to think you'd never ask." Connor said, a malicious grin spreading across his face as he climbed into the car with his two duffel bags. Once in, he casually throws them both next to him, and begins searching through the lot of them for explosives. Grenades, C4, even a rocket and it's launcher were pulled out of one bag. He effectively dumped the contents of both bags out in the back of the car, and separated them into explosives into the left, and non-explosives in the right. Fragmentation grenades were clipped on the back of the passenger seat, the seat which he happened to be sitting behind, and the rocket launcher had it's rocket resting next to it. He even weighed the C4 in his hand for a moment before putting it away. While it did make a marvelous boom, it just wasn't the same throwing it out a window and using the clicker. It was the same with the two mines he pulled out, unarmed of course. Again, marvelous booms on their part, but throwing them like a Frisbee simply wouldn't do. "Any preference on the hole size?" he asked as he examined guns of various caliber sizes.

Marius chuckled as he stretched out on the table. "It wouldn't be the first time I've had coffee poured on my head, probably not a surprise to you though." He joked. Snuggling his head in his arms. It was nor long before he was soundly asleep....go figure he just wakes up and needed a nap.

@IceQueen

"Cozy is more than enough." Atlas assured the elder. Sisceal could live in a box for all he cared, as long as he was comfortable living in it. It was a weird preference that the raven had picked up over the years; he always picked the small, warm and the cozy over the large, cold and fancy. Despite already knowing the layout of the city by heart, he stuck with his habit of memorizing every turn that they took. Besides, there was always the chance that there was something new that had been added to the area.

(SorrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyY!)

@Axel1313 @zCrookedz @Beowulf @rosamortelle

Being unfamiliar with everything around him, Vytas just followed the elder's lead. Every so often, he'd glance back at his brother to make sure that Austere wasn't experiencing a heart attack or something; but for the most part he just focused on the situation at hand. Which was basically just him finally getting to mess around in some new territory.
