He pointed to a room connected to the main cockpit “that’s the kitchen, there should be a coffee pot in there”

"ah" she nodded "and how hard can stealing a vehicle be!"

“You really need to learn more about the tech faction. There is only one stationary building in our entire territory and we use it to build our vehicles. All of our vehicles are our homes. A bug is designed to house up to 6 people and because he’s such an important asset I am expecting there to be at least 2 chickens with the bug. Both of which can house around 2 people”

Brander nodded thankfully at Ronald and slipped off into the kitchen to make himself some coffee.

"odd names for houses huh," she said quietly thinking "well then how do we NOT get seen and get to the bug"

“We don’t. We are going to be seen so once the bug is in view it’s game on we won’t time for messing up”

"ah, well lets not mess up then" she nodded,

Ronald glanced at her
“Thank you captain obvious”

"your welcome" she said "so then whats the plan exactly"

“Once we find the bug we shall radio it. One to confirm that it’s the bug we are looking for and two make them think we are just a patrol. They will either come up with some excuse for being unmarked (driving an unmarked vehicle is illegal) or they will attack. If they attack brander will return fire until we are close enough to get on the bug. If they come up with an excuse we tell them that we are going to escort them to a turtle city so they can be marked. From there we go up next to them and board from there. After that it’s just a matter of eliminating the crew and capturing Peter”

"sounds good" she said

Brander listened in from the doorway to the kitchen.

"Any possibility that they might have a fake mark, or use a stolen vehicle?"

“I can see this is going to be a full blown adventure,” Tythe says, noting the chemistry between the very different individuals before him.

Ronald shook his head “it will definitely be a unmarked bug. We have seen him use it before for making plans it’s always the same unmarked bug”

Brander hummed softly in acknowledgement, taking note.

she didnt seem to be paying attention to the conversation anymore, but exploring the area checking everything she hasent seen

The hen house rumbled along the great expanse of desert
“Hawk to hidden chicken please respond over” a voice from the control panel said
“This is the hidden chicken over” Ronald responded
“We have an unmarked bug ahead of us, how should we proceed over”
“Follow but do not engage, we are en route to intercept over”
“Roger hawk over and out”
“Well we have are target”
The hidden chicken sped up and turned to head off to what looked like more empty desert

“So I guess it’s my job if this all goes into battle to fly in and hijack this Bug-contraption” Tythe says.(he only really sees tech vehicles when there are visitors, so he fell uncomfortable around them.)

“We aren’t hijacking it. Just taking out the crew. We are all going through the back door”

"ok well what are we waiting for!" she said

 

[utahraptor]

“We already on our way” Ronald said clearly annoyed

"oooh" she said, she went back to looking around

Ronald grabbed the radio
“Hidden chicken to hawk we have eyes on the bug, over”
Looking out the front window the crew could see a black bug. It towered over the desert on its 6 long mechanical legs
“I see you over” hawk replied
“Stand by, we may need you as back up over”
Looking to the left way behind the bug was a 2 legged brown vehicle with a Birds Eye painted on its side
2 similar sized vehicles walked next to the bug
“This is hidden chicken to unmarked bug, please identify yourself over” Ronald said
Silence
“This is hidden chicken to unmarked bug, respond over” Ronald repeated
“This is fire beetle over” a new voice said through the radio
“Fire beetle you are unmarked please stop your vehicle and allow us to escort you to the nearest city over”
“Negative over” the 2 chickens next to the vehicle broke off and started heading towards the hen house
“Call back your chickens and stop your vehicle or we will open fire over”
Silence
“You have 10 seconds to stop your vehicle over”
And that’s when the chicken’s opened fire
