Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

"Got it" Adrian replies, before standing up. He pulled off his pack and coat, laying them next to his crossbow. "So, Isaac. Where are you from?"

"Ah, thats fine. Just wondering" Adrian says, poking one of the pieces of venison with his knife. "The meat looks done." he picked up a skewer and handed it to Isaac before taking one for himself.

Her head slowly slumped onto Artorais' shoulder, subconsciously seeking something to rest it against.

"Should we wake Christina and give her some food?" Isaac said looking over at her she was definitely asleep but she hadn't eaten in a while and she still didn't look good then she fell on Artorais shoulder and he said "Nope I wanna see her face when she wakes up."

Adrian laughed quietly, taking a bite of the venison. It was juicy, fresh, and better than most food he could catch. "If you want sleep, i can take my watch now. Not tired at all" Adrian asked.

"Thanks man" he said curling up right by the fire and falling asleep soon there after.

Isaac began having a nightmare about his village he sat up quick in a cold sweat "I don't think i'm going to sleep tonight" he said.

Adrian looked down at him from his seat on a rock. "Bad dream?" he asked knowingly.

Christina was having a pleasant dream as she could recall her childhood, the days of light when she did not possess enough knowledge to worry about the war, when everything was good and pleasing to her. She even smiled a little in her sleep, which, with her head resting on the Knight's shoulder, didn't look like she was just having a good dream.

Adrian sighed. "if you want some sleep, there is an herb in my bag. It will make you drowsy, if you want it" he said. He often used it drug animals so he didnt have to track them, but it worked on humans as well.

"I'm going outside man I think all I need to do is clear my head also can't handle small spaces." he said but he was really just going to look for the soldiers he felt like he needed to prove a point that he'd stake his life he knew it was stupid but he was going to prove his point and with that he left.

Adrian sighed. "Its not smart to go out alone right now. Those knights could still be around here somewhere. At least let me go with you, i can keep watch from outside the cave just as easily."

"Do you really not trust me man I just wanna clear my head of the dream that's it man maybe hunt some rabbit or something." Isaac said he needed him off his back so he could search for those guys but he couldn't do that with Adrian there.

'Fine, just trying to help" Adrian mutters. How did he get stuck with these people... "Just.. call out if you need help."

Adrian laid back, putting his hands behind his head. He closed his eyes, just listening. The gentle breeze through the pine needles, the muffled sound of the waterfall. The gentle breathing of the two fighters behind him.

As he approached the top of the cliff he heard voices three of them to be exact and they were close and as he peered of the top he saw them about a foot away so he grabbed one of their legs and threw him off and climbed up and said "Who's next?"

A new sound assaulted Adrian's ears- screaming, followed by a sickening thunk. Adrian shot up, running outside, only to trip over the broken body of a soldier. He cursed loudly, sprinting back into the cave and grabbing his bow, as well as his roped bolt. He fired it into the cliff side near the top and began climbing, trying to go to Isaac's aid.

Christina awoke to the sound of the violence and got up quickly, placing her hand on her head as her brain began to sting, she ran out of the cave, finding the soldier and cursing, "Dammit Issac!" She then looked up the falls and started climbing the rock face, eventually catching up to Adrian.

The soldiers charged him he pulled out both daggers and charged straight for them and at the last moment slid under both of them pulling out his bow notching the arrow and letting it fly right one of the soldiers shoulder.

She reached the top of the falls and noticed what was going on, hauling herself over the overhang, "Issac! Stop!"

Adrian gripped the edge of the cliff and pulled himself up, analyzing the situation. He lunged at the last soldier, driving his dagger inbetween the man's ribs. then he turned to glare at Isaac.

She stood among the corpses, a sharp glance at Issac, "What... the hell... did you do!?" She advances on him quickly, raising her hand as if she were to backhand him.
