Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

Artorias jumped inside his armor, sif still held to his chest "Christina?!" Artorias softly puts sif back on the ground, blushing out of embarrassment underneath his helmet, a tad bit shocked, and a tad bit angry with himself for assuming they left him. "H-hello?"

Adrian formed a small pool with rocks in the lake to keep fish and other creatures away from the skin. He dipped it it, slowly watching it sink to the bottom of the shallow pool. Elk hide didnt sell for much... maybe he would make a cloak. He already had one, but maybe someone else would need it.

"Hey..." her voice was awkward and gentle as she just remembered to turn and face Issac, "Umm... right, sorry Issac... I just need to... crying isn't something I need to do."

"I said I was sorry!" She exclaimed.

"Look, my emotions need not be any of your concern..." She felt a little embarrassed arguing about this in front of Artorias.

"On, hello guy I still don't your name," he rolls his eyes under his helm, "does that make you feel better?" Artorias coughed, thankfully no blood came out this time, sitting back down, holding sif in his lap, petting him, "and why was she crying?" Artorias asked, wondering what could make a warrior cry.

"What!?" She turns around to face him, blushing, "No! I wasn't crying... I-"

"I don't want to make you upset I just want you to be safe." he said "And they are you're needed i'm not so you have to be in good health , Names Isaac." he said

Adrian heard a shout from the cave, but he ignored it. Artorias was there- he seemed reasonable enough. He could control them. With a pleased sigh, he pulled the hide out of the water, examining it for any bits of flesh that he would have to singe off. Satisfied, he turned to walk back into the cave.

Artorias chuckled, petting the grey wolf in his lap, "is that a blush I see?" Artorias smiled under his helm, glad his face can't be seen. "Well hello Issac."

She sighed and proceeded to slide down the wall until she laid down, perpendicular to the fire off in the corner, she moved her hood up as it was still night, and she wrapped her cloak around her, deciding to ignore whatever attempts these people would try to dissuade of her belief.

Adrian stepped behind Isaac and to the fire, laying out the hide to dry. He cut some more meat off the elk carcass, skewering it and propping it up over the fire. "You hungry?" He asked Artorias, motioning to the venison.

"Why would I have to tell her that?" Artorias seemed confused, "wouldn't that go without saying?" He shrug, shaking his head. "But eh,guess I could try." Artorias stretched, "Christina, you can't die after beating me, how would I ever get my honor back, or how would your name and memory of you degrade after they learn you beat one of the four best knights and then just curled up and died after healing him? If you can't find it in you to live on, at least live on for others. Live on for your home and reputation."

She opened one eye and looked at him, "I'll explain later..."

Christina felt her stomach rumble a little, yet she said nothing and decided it was best for everyone else to eat the fair load of food. She could have whatever remained.

He skewered another hunk of meant and propped it up next to the other pieces. Two had finished already, so he handed one to Artorias, and knelt, holding it in front of Christina. "I can hear your stomach from the other side of the cave. Eat."

Artorias sat sif down, tired from the effort it took to clean his gear and put his armor back on, yet determined to stay awake, ready to take watch so the others could sleep if he has to.

She accepted the meat and slowly sat up, beginning to eat it, not saying a word as her stomach soon became rather happy and she found it much easier to concentrate, a breath of fresh air flowing through her body.

"I know..." She said before she began to eat.

Christina found herself gazing at him from the corner of her eye as she feasted on the food, finishing it all soon.
