Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

Artorias stretched after finishing the meat, standing up and walking to the edge of the cave, "Anyone object to me taking first watch? I've had enough sleep and I'm sure you all could use some." Artorias sits down, sif standing next to him.

She began to feel the fatigue of everyone in the room as she stood and walked to the entrance of the cave, sitting down as she peered at the only way up to their little haven. "I can take the watch for the night, the rest of you... get some sleep."

She looked at Artorais, "Get some sleep, you're still injured, your body needs time to recover."

"No objections from me..." Adrian says, laying down. He props his pack underneath his head and closes his eyes. He knew he probably wouldnt get much sleep, but it would be nice not to be responsible for any of the others.

"I don't think I can either Issac, after what happened tonight... Get some rest." She sighed, still seated by the entrance of the cave.

Artorias chuckled, "I don't need anymore sleep, so either you get some sleep or we both watch, because I'm not really tired and I would prefer not getting too comfortable in this cave." Artorias decided not to mention he wanted to do something to be useful, since he's really been nothing but a problem between fighting them when he first met, and then having them help heal him, he needed this, he needed to feel he was pulling his own weight around here.

She looked at Artorais and smiled a little then stood and went to her corner of the cave, sitting down slowly and eventually falling into a sleeping lump on the ground.

"Already tried not gonna try again." A shiver went up his spine not knowing whether it was from the nightmare he had or the cold but he wasn't falling asleep.

"find yourself some comfort Issac..." She mumbled as she drifted off into sleep.

Adrian felt surprisingly sleepy, his eyes slowly closing. Although, after his dip in the lake, he wasnt surprised. The cold must have made him drowsy. He drifted off, entering the realm of sleep.

"Issac, if you can't sleep then at least sit back in the cave and wait, until I can no longer stay up, in which case you may go ahead and take over, until then, sit back and relax." Artorias said firmly, stretching. "Okay?"

"You win this one i'll sleep" Isaac said as he fell asleep but it felt different this time he felt like he was calm and he passed out right there. (gtg good night.)

Christina breathed in an out softly, not much of her definitive features were noticeable, in the fire-light, she actually looked more like a cloak with some animal beneath.

(I plan on doing something, but it'll be while all the characters are asleep.)

Artorias chuckled, staring out into the night, glad for the semi quiet, thinking, wondering what he'll do, sure he owed them, yet he also swore to his lord to fight his enemies until he died. Artorias sighed, staring up at the moon.

( meh, whatever you guys decide )

A few hours past, the night sky was still high and Christina stirred a bit, her throat was parched and she sat up stretching. Without making a single sound, she sat up and went to the entrance of the cave, "Nothing unusual tonight?"

Artorias shook his head, "Not that I could see," he stretched and yawned, staying up by sheer willpower alone. "So, what was it you would tell me later?"

"Follow me..." She began to walk down to the lake, not turning around to make sure if he was following her not.

Artorias looked back at Adrian, leaving sif behind before standing up and following her, leaving his helmet to avoid tripping in the dark, taking his greatsword in case anything came here. He wondered what was so important they had to leave the other one in the cave.

She knelled down next to the freezing water and cupped some in her hands, drinking several handfuls. She then stood up and looked at him, her expression was stern. "My fate of this world is to die. Myran has shown it to me, in the near ending of this war, before the age of peace, I will have fallen in love. This person that I will have fallen in love with will kill me, and I will die." She suddenly became deathly silent as if she'd already been killed, "It's my fate to die, they just can't understand... I've been chasing fate my whole life." She then looked up at the celestial heavens above, "You know Myran's word is final... You out of all of us should know that best."

Artorias sighed, nodding "Myran's word is final, just sad to hear that," he looked down, ignoring the beating of his heart, "yet if you travel alone that fate may not come about, or it might become worse." Artorias shook his head, "I'm sure that it's not coming about yet."

"It will happen within a years time..." She sighed and then turned to look at him, "I'd honestly rather have no met any of you... It's a burden on me to befriend you..." She holds her hand over her heart as she looks up, "It's only adds more pain in the end, for all of us..."

Artorias sighed, "True, yet it's better to live life with people who you can count on then it is to continue on alone." Artorias shook his head, staring down at the ground, "and hey, at least you've got your life figured out for the most part, I'm sure that's better then waiting everyday, unsure if you'll live to tomorrow." He sighed, sitting down. "I also won't deny it'll hurt to hear that you've died, it's rare I meet anyone honorable and able to beat me."

She looked at him and smiled, "Before I die... I promise you your rematch." She laughed a little, "Promise." There was then silence, "Tell me, the other three Knights, how much stronger are they? I'm honestly quite curious as to who I might end up fighting in the future.
