Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

Artorias stretched, having fallen asleep sometime late at night, leaving sif to watch out for danger, he stood up and stepped out of the cave, staring up at the sun, smiling to himself, thinking about what happened the day before. Artorias took a few drinks of water, putting his head to the surface of the lake, entering the cave again with a small yawn.

(Thanks) Isaac began to grill the second squirrel over the fare and as he thought they would only have enough for three of them, he sighed as he began to work on the rabbit, looks like he wouldn't be eating till later.

Artorias looked over at Issac, already looking at the meat and then at the rest of the group, already deciding there wasn't enough for all of them, quietly wondering how many of them would get to eat, before standing up and walking out with sif, deciding to find something for himself, and sif so that they could both eat.

Isaac finished the hare and went to tan the hides and saw Artorias and said "You can go inside and eat i'll eat later." he said everybody had it harder than him yesterday "You don't need to be hunting you're still injured." he said remembering having to bandage the knight.

Artorias smiled, "Go ahead and eat, I'd rather hunt down something myself, besides, have to feed sif as well," He looked down at the little wolf cub, smiling as it barked, "and how will I ever get better if I just sit around and do nothing to help?"

"Very well" he wasn't about to argue with him he wanted to pull his own weight and Isaac respected that "Just don't get injured again." he said in a sarcastic voice as he went inside to dry the hides by the fire.

Adrian groaned as he woke up, rubbing his eyes. He hated mornings. Warmth was coating his body, finally dry after the events of yesterday. He shook his head a few times and splashed some water from the lake on his face, before he finally shook of the tiredness. He was happy to see that the elk skin was dry as well, so he grabbed his knife and went to work making it into a cloak.

Artorias chuckled, walking into the trees, looking for anything at all, occasionally looking down at sif, smiling, waiting for him to pick up the scent of an animal, since sif would be a lot better at finding animals then he would, still looking side to side for anything worthwhile, glad for both the fact he was allowed to do this, and for the quietness that always seems to follow loneliness.

Isaac put the hides he had near the fire to dry and said "There's food by the fire." he told Adrian pointing to one of the squirrels he had gutted.

"Thanks... Not hungry right now" he answers, continuing to work on the cloak. He took a rock and used it to hammer his knife into the hide, making 4 holes parallel to each other. Then he grabbed a buckle from his bag, attaching to to the hide.

Artorias sighed, sitting down in the forest, watching sif chase rabbits and squirrels, smiling at the little wolf. "Hmm," he said with a small sigh, thinking back to his time on watch, and the conversation with Christina, a small sigh escaping him as he thought back, still wondering why he felt so comfortable around him, for goodness sake she almost killed him when they were fighting.

Isaac sat there eating his squirrel Christina was the only one asleep now and Adrian was working on his hide so he just sat and ate quietly not wanting to disturb either of them, he really wasn't good with conversing with Adrian and Christian was asleep so he was essentially alone.

(Brb.)

(i'm back.)

A peaceful, light-blue eye peeked open slowly as the warrior sat up, removing her hood as she let her hair down, she sat in silence for a few moments, trying to regain her thoughts, then let out a yawn, "G'morning..." She sighed as she licked her lips a few times and smiled.

"Good morning." Isaac said "There's a hare and a squirrel over by the fire take your pick." Isaac said pointing to the animals by the fire "They're a little overcooked but they taste fine." he said

She nodded as she sat up, grabbing a squirrel and removing it's leg with her hunting knife, and began to chew on it slowly, her eyes shut in content as she soon devoured the meal. She stood up and began to walk outside of the cave, "Might I ask... where is Artorias?" She turned to look at Issac.

"He went hunting for his own meal even after I said I would not eat though it's partly my fault because I didn't get enough food while I was hunting." he said with a sigh.

She stared at him with a small amount of empathy, "It's... it's not your fault, you did what you could..." She then looked out into the bright, ice snow covered evening, "I'll go find him, I can't leave him alone with an injury like that... besides..." She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth as she recalled the memory, "I was the one who cause it."

"If you haven't forgotten your still injured as well." he said pointing to the side of her head the blood had dried to it and the bruise was still visible there and it still wasn't even wrapped. " I'll go look, you patch yourself up. " he said

She waved him down, "Don't be absurd... I'm fine, really. It's really nothing compared to what it could have been." It was true, she only felt a small ping in the side of her head, the rest overnight had helped, though, every now and then she'd hear the ringing in her ear. So, she could conclude something small was damaged but would heal overtime.

"Remember what I said you're not super-human even you can get injured." he said trying his best to persuade her she couldn't go forever without having to do something to heal it. "Even small injuries need to be treated, or they could get infected." he said

"I know..." She looked out into the sunny snow, "But... I need to give my body a stretch, there is time for healing later, I'm not fighting anything too bad right now..." A bird chirped in the distance and she left her words at that as she departed from the cave. Heading down to the lake's edge where she knelled down and sipped some water.

"She's never gonna listen." Isaac mumbled as he left the cave as well and caught up to her and said "Listen i'm sorry about what I did last night it was stupid." he said he had acted rash out of anger and tried to make his point in a stupid way.
