Fantasy The Spirit Inside ~ Forest and Village

Lila's body trembled as she clutched the back of the man's shirt delicately, yet desperately. The woman that had been in front of her, was still trying to approach, and Lila was trying to use the Sylph as a shield of sorts. Trying to keep him between her and anyone else that was approaching her. Then the Sylph was asking her questions, at the mention of her master, Lila's heart skipped a beat in fear. Would they punish her if she told the truth? Then the Sylph was reassuring her that he wouldn't hurt her and was asking her name.

She kept a grip on his shirt, but that grip would easily let go if he tried to move away from her.
"...M-my master is d-d-dead.." She held no sorrow for that man, only fear that she would be turned into his family for punishment, even though she had not been involved in his death at all. "...M-my name i-is Lila...I w-was looking f-for the..the t-town.." Fear seemed to drip from every word she uttered. It rolled off her in waves.

Lena stopped approaching the girl, as she realised this was probably not the time for her to talk to that girl. She silently started backing off, looking worriedly at the girl.

"I-I'm sorry..." She said quietly.

"Hello there everyone, I'm Belisair this is my little egg, Flint, and that brooding mass of tall, dangerous and handsome over there is Kyngerz. It would seem that my little light show with Flint has attracted you all here for a plethora of reasons. If you are here to cause trouble, I would suggest leaving now before my tall friend dispatches you with deadly precision."

Belisair spoke clearly, loudly and with a smile, but there was a weight to his voice that brooked no arguments and demanded truth. Now was not the time to make his intentions unclear; his goal was to ensure that everyone would walk away unharmed, especially his Flint.

"You there, in the trees. I can hear you so I would suggest making yourself known to everyone.", he was not in the mood for games right now.

"Since we are all here and are not going anywhere until everyone gets what they want or gets "dealt with", lets start the introductions. I have an ancient scroll with my name on it and we've wasted too much time as it is."

Belisair nodded to Kyngerz, "Stay alert."

Belisair then looked down at the Yuan-ti, "Lila you said? You are just darling, I think I'll keep you." He smiled in a way to show Lila that he meant to keep her around not own her.

((Part 1))

Flint jealously watched as the snake 'human' held on to his friend. He wanted to scream curses at her but waited patiently for Belisair to finished his speech.

Lila was very quiet and very still as Belisair gave such an imposing speech. Well perhaps not so imposing, but to Lila it seemed so. Then again, Lila found a great many things to be imposing. Even so, she didn't do anything until the Sylph looked down at her and spoke of keeping her. He might've meant well, but Lila didn't really get his meaning, still his smile was reassuring. This man wanted to keep her, and for some reason, the Yuan-ti was alright with that.

Lila nodded very slightly, very uncertainly. Though she felt she couldn't really disagree with Belisair, he had just claimed her after all. Would he place his mark on her, to cover her previous masters mark? Did he want her to call him master? Just what kind of things would this one expect of her? She was only really good at dancing, her previous master had loved to watch her dance. She would see how things would progress, if need be, she could just run away again. Those green eyes looked up to Belisair as she let go of his shirt, watching him almost expectantly now, and still a little afraid.

Lena quietly left the girl and the man, who just finished his speech, and sat down not too far from them, still lookin worriedly at the girl. She just couldn't get her out of her head. She sighed, and prepared herself for any hate thrown at her, since all the people around here didn't seem like they would look for any friends.

((Im gonna wait for everyone to make themselves known. At the very least state their name and their CURRENT goal.))

Belisair had said enough for now. He would have to wait and see how everyone would react. Hopefully they would all have enough common sense to make the right decision, 'I really don't like bloodshed.'

He turned to his newest stray, "Lila, this is my new other half Flint. He's a little rough around the edges, but he's got a good heart. Now, you don't seem like the adventurous type, so why travel alone? Why travel though he forest instead of sticking to the safe paths and roads?"

Leaning against the tree and folded his arms calmly, taking in the scene as he listened to the other fellow speak. Out of everyone, he seemed to have a more firm idea of what was going on. With a sigh of resolve, he stepped forward "You talk with authority, Belisair, perhaps you could provide some answers. I only seek answers, as I know nothing else. My name is,," He paused, the words caught in his throat as his mind brought up no name. "I'm,," He stuttered and stepped back, losing his confidence and retreating from the conversation as he tried desperately to recall anything about himself "I don't,," He plunged his hands in his pockets, searching for anything useful, perhaps a wallet or something like that. Finally, his hand pulled out a dog tag and he dangled it in front of his eyes curiously. Squinting, he read the one word ",,Uh,,Rex,," He rubbed the back of his neck, not sure if that really was his own name or not. It was a question that would never be answered.

Lila bowed slightly in greeting when Belisair introduced Flint. Now that Lila had a real good look at the crow, he was a very pretty bird. The way his feathers seemed to glisten in the light, she offered him the tiniest of smiles. That bird had been talking earlier, and that was just amazing. Then the Sylph was asking questions, Lila shifted slightly on her bare feet, frowning just the tiniest bit.

"...W-wolves ambushed us..I..I r-ran...the o-others, t-t-they didn't make it." Those wolves, they had been so vicious, so wild. Lila shivered a bit at the memory. "...W-we were e-escaping th-the Master's estate..." Her body was tense as she spoke those words. A slave admitting to escaping, she really was asking for trouble. She took a step back, only a small one, as if in fear of some kind of reprimand. She had lowered her head, green eyes staring at the ground. She only glanced up when Rex made himself known, looking at him for a moment.

Lila would be silent, and let Belisair speak with this Rex that had approached, without complaint. All the while hoping that Belisair would be a kind and gentle person.

(By the way, I would appreciate If you would tag me if you want to interract with me, just sayin' )

The Palsiet sheathed his weapons and walked over to odd snake being, he crouched down to meet her eyes, his own warming up as he sensed how pure her fear was. "These wolves crossed my path child, they are no more." he looked to the Fae "I feel it best if we take her with us, do not worry about her safety as I will personally care for her." he said before holding out his hand to help her up. "I trust you Lila Divnek Bruskta, Snake Being. I will protect you as you seem to be the most needing of it. Move to the Fae and the Crow, I wish to keep my allies together in case something goes wrong" he said looking towards the other newcomers, suspicion furrowing his brow.

Lila stared at the imposing man, he had put his weapons away but he was still very frightening in her eyes. His words were not frightening though, and she stared at him as he mentioned the wolves, and spoke of protecting her. She had flinched slightly though when he called her 'snake' being, but quickly realized he hadn't meant the word as an insult. Lila nodded slightly at the Palsiet, and she moved closer to Belisair, her body nearly touching the Sylph's now.

Chesire stood beside a girl that seems to be a Yuan-ti. Sitting on a half-sliced log, she nodded and spoke in a soft yet clear voice. "Chesire. Chesire is my name.." She said as she stared at them with her blue eyes. 'I wonder what they're doing here? A bunch of strangers....brr' She thought and shivered inwardly as she was not used to meeting people for the first time.

Rex simply stepped backwards until he bumped into a tree, then slid down until he was sitting. For now, he just needed to think and figure things out. Eyeing the dog tag one final time, he placed it around his neck, deciding to take the name since he didn't have any other options. For now, it seemed overwhelming that he was just There, no explanation for anything, so he only listened and tried to get some sort of understanding.

Lena quietly looked at the group meeting that was in front of her. She wished to meet this girl better, but she seemed to mess up even the first impression. She decided to try and try and maybe talk to her again. She stood up, and meekly approached the group.

"Uhm... little girl? C-Can I introduce myself?" She asked, still staying a reasonable distance from her, not approaching any closer, not to scare her off

@Kry

The Palsiet turned to Chesire, his own blue eyes staring into hers. "What is your business, and why did you come here other than trying to find out the sources of the beacon" he said keeping his hand on the hilt of his blade, the air around him turning cold enough to see his breath as the ancient magic of the dragon slept deep within his blade and his very existence, much of his power was dormant, though it would still be enough to take out a small mob.

After Belisairs @Candidfox And the other female @JJKab they looked like they posed no threat at all but looks can be deceiving. .. Dia saw Kyngerz @KingsPlague stern look come back upon His face, although he had sheathed his weapons. "I am here, from far away lands.. I'm looking for a Temple in these woods. Do you know of what I speak? Any of you?"

(GTG, be back in the morning. BTW, can you tell me from what countries are you? Time zones...)

Watching everyone finally settle into some semblance of peace, Belisair saw that Flint a little tired from such magic and the subsequent ordeal. He placed to crow into the pouch he had yet to remove so he could rest, "It's ok if you want to sleep Flint." @RP Marshall

Belisair looked at the group examining each member in turn. He looked at Kyngerz as the Palsiet spoke and smiled down at Lila @Kry who had shuffled closer, "Don't be afraid of Kyngerz, he's a sweetheart, if a little intense at times." He winked at said sweetheart @KingsPlague

He then turned to the uncomfortably close "Cheshire", "I would suggest taking several steps back for now. I can't guarantee your safety if you are so close to us," he said as he pointed towards Kyngerz. @CandidFox

"If you would like to introduce yourself, I suggest you get started." @JJKab

"I don't know what answers you seek, but I do know that you are not meant to be here, Rex. You are severely lacking in the living department." @Knightling

"And you, Dia was it, this is not the time to be amused. I know the situation seems funny, but please control yourself." @ragingfire

The glow around Sylp and bird was finally starting to dissapate.

The Palsiet stood up straight now, all 6'8" of him looking down at each of the newcomers, trying to read motives and to see if he thought they looked trustworthy though he new all to well how deceiving looks could be.

Behind him Stood Belsair the Sylph with Flint the Crow and Lila the Yuan-ti. These three he had already read into, and found that they would be easiest to trust, or easiest to beat in combat if they turned on him. @Delacare @RP Marshall @Kry

To his Left was a young elf, more than that he would hopefully find out soon. @JJKab

In front of him still stood Cheshire, a strange name for a rather strange young being, the longer he stared at them the more confusion swept over him, it looked feminine enough but his gut disagreed with him. He had met many a strange creature on his years of travelings, this one would stay among the strangest as he felt strong magic sleeping within them. @CandidFox

Finally we come to his right, the one male reeked of death. Though the Palsiet had met enough Necromancers in his time, he never felt the dead could be trusted as they tended to have sick and twisted Morals. @Knightling

The other Character was a young lady, her skin dark and exotic, her essence smelled of islands to the south. The Palsiet had always avoided the south as he disliked the heat. She seemed the most human out of all the group, this would not sit well with his Crow 'Ally' but the Palsiet saw no reason not to give her a chance @ragingfire

Kyngerz Plagkets cleared his throat and spoke, his voice booming with his ancient accent "We are headed to the temple that resides not all too far from here, we are spending the evening in the tavern in the local town and heading out in the morning. All those who wish to join us are welcome, but I warn you, if any of you turn on me or my comrades" He gestured to the three behind him "I will be the one who will end your Weprt, your life. So think about this before you make your decisions." The Palsiet stepped back beside Belisair to allow him to continue speaking.

A temple? What kind of trip was that? Lena was just trying to investigate the beacon of light, but... that little girl was still on her mind. She didn't know what would happen to her, but she shook her head lightly, trying to get her out of her head. If she could help in any way, than she would be more than happy to do so. Lena quietly stepped away from the girl, and made her way towards the man whom she speaked with earlier.

"then where am I meant to be?" Rex replied stubbornly "I'm alive, I just know it!" He added, mostly trying to convince himself. It would take him a while to come to terms with his undead state @Delacare

With a sigh, rex stared at his pale hand in confusion, trying to make sense of it in his mind. Looking up, he noticed the female taking amusement, and grew irritated "I wish to see the humor, perhaps it would help" he growled, but became distracted when his stomach growled out of hunger @ragingfire

Standing up, the man glanced around cautiously "I wont be coming to the temple, I just want to get to the village now" he paused "anybody have any food...?"
