"It's ok" Riku gave him a soft smile and let out a small chuckle after she'd dried up her tears a bit more "after all...I know what it feels like, to be alone" her smile dropped once again, The tingling sensation started to grow and burn her eyes, not wanting to worry kalin she didn't mention it, but she could tell something was not right.

"Huh? But you're not alone." Kalin said, looking at her with ab expression of confusion. He tugged her ears gently, wondering if she was still paying attention.

Riku looked back up at him feeling the tug on her ear "It's just...you see, I..used too.." her sentence was once again cut off but this time for a different reason for eyes started burning so badly she couldn't stand it anymore, Riku's eyes started glowing a crimson red colour. Her tail started twitching un-controllable and she made quick harsh breaths of someone who was obviously in pain. @Kalin Scarlet

Kalin looked on worriedly, before charging his hand with a gentle warm flame, which he placed to her forehead. It didn't burn. Rather, it didn't burn anything, outside of the pain Riku was feeling, relieving her of her ailment. "What's wrong, Riku?"

Kalins hand was warm and as it touched her forehand her pain subsided but her eyes kept glowing, his voice was gentle and calming as he questioned her about "I don't know, this has never happened before?!" she was starting to panic badly "I..Kalin, my past" her voice calmed down at these words but still left worry within them "I think..it has something to do, with my past" seemingly out of no-where she hugs Kalin looking up at his face with tears in her eyes still her arms wrapped around him "but.." her voice stutters.. "I don't want to remember...all the pain that I've had to go through to get here... I don't want to remember the feeling of being utterly helpless and all alone, after all even now after all this time... I've never had anyone who even tried to understand me or get close to me" a smile full of sorrow filled her face "your the only one who's ever even asked my name"

"Well of course I'd ask your name. I mean, we couldn't be friends if I didn't know at least that much about you. Don't you think?" Kalin said, patting her head as he spoke. He smiled, and wiped the tears out of her eyes. "You seem like a nice person, the type of person who I'd always imagined being friends with..."

After this her eyes finally stopped glowing and returned to their normal cat-like green colour. A pulse of light emitted from her shard for an instant... "You aren't lying, you really aren't!" Her face lit up like that of a small child which had just been given candy she hugged him even tighter briefly before letting him go "but what about that other girl... I don't want her to be alone either" still smiling she said in a spirited voice "do you think, that maybe... I could be friends with her too?"

She starts purring gentle at the touch of his hand, come to think of it it's the first contact I've ever had with someone for years she thought to herself a cute, innocent smile on her face she was now sitting with her legs crossed on the bed "thank you, for everything" she said "there's just one more thing I'd like to know, your never going to leave me...are you?" A serious look fills her eyes as if whatever response he replies with could mean the difference between getting a cookie or a fist to the face.

Esstella saw Kalin with the cat and the wind picked up around Kalin she was torn on finding out Gil reasons for getting involved in her fight and Getting that thing away from Kalin she knew she could hear what was going on from across room using her wind she jumped into the air and landed in front of Kalin she gave the necko a look that could but the longer she glared at this pitiful excuse for a creature the more she realized they were exactly the same yet completely different

Riku smiles Cheerfully making her ears twitch, "umm... I know it's a little late to bring it up now but... Wasn't I supposed to go meet someone?" An awkward smile appears on her face.

Jorian was now balancing on top of his Bow staff in a crane like position swaying back and forth with a silly grin on his face He had gotten bored due to everyone already doing one thing or another. He had seem to be the odd one out, Jorian didn't really care though he was use to it. Jorian did a front flip off of the bow staff and as he landed he quickly grabbed the staff before it hit the ground and resumed his earlier stance holding the staff behind his neck using the inside of his arms to balance it. Jorian sighed and blew a piece of hair out of his face. He thought to himself 'What to do now.'

Later that day...


Following the examinations, everyone was gathered in front of the headmistress and headmaster(Who, in reality, was a simple illusion.) The headmistress stepped forward, addressing the gathered recruits.


"Originally, we were prepared to place you all into pairs. However, as a result of...unusual circumstances, and uneven numbers, we've had a change of plan. You will all be grouped into squads. These squads were determined through a number of factors. We expect each of you to treat your new teammates with respect. You'll be relying on them as much as they will on you." The Headmistress pressed a few icons on her data pad, and the team lineups were displayed. Each Squad was composed of a single teacher, and five students. Quite a few of the teachers were either active or retired knights, themselves...

Sebastian stood staring at them, his pitch black armor gleamed and moved with each spike and clank. The large ax he held rested beside him and he did what probably shouldn't have been done, he spoke up. "My sister is late, I refuse to be paired without her. No matter what the squads or the orders. I fight with my sibling through and through." Sebastian leaned against his ax, his helmet covering the pale face beneath, only showing the odd ember eyes he possessed.

"That's admirable, but you don't have much choice in the matter. Now, if and when your sister gets here, and we decide she's worth keeping, in spite of not even making it here on time, we'll see what we can do about grouping her together with you, if that's what we feel is best. But don't misunderstand..." the headmistress said, adjusting her glasses. "We're not obligated to do anything."

Astor grimaced at the idea he thought Kalin would be in his squad as agreed this man was not to be trusted if he would try this so early on already breaking his word it only made Astor more suspicious of Tusmi but what was to be done Astor searched the shadows for Welsh and Jorian there shadows whispered to them "We meet in the forest"

Jorian looked at the list not really caring who was on it because he didn't recognize any of the names. Then he laughed as he saw instead of Squad C it was Team C. The minor mistake made Jorian smile a bit. He was leaning against his bow staff as someone approached him. *We meet in the forest* the person spoke. Being confused for a minute Jorian inspected the person. 'This is probably the one named Astor there leader.' Jorian thought. He looked at the person and then he pointed to the name Astor and looked at the Man hoping he would get his question.

Astor shadow puppet nodded "we meet in the forest find the darkest part of the forest when you do find a huge knarled tree with talon like branches in the shape of a wolf bird" the shadows spoke but it's mouth didn't open even though words came out

Gil thought about it for a moment and said to Tsumi "Yeah and there was something else at the edge of my mind that I had to act upon. My memory was being jarred but of what I don't know."


(Later at the revelation of teams)


Gil stood beside the other teacher on the right side of Tsumi. He was happy Arthur was placed on Tsumi's team, he felt Arthur would work best with the individuals on that team. But Gil was even pleased with his own team. He already had plans for Kalin's power of flames to grow in the future and was intrigued at how the nekomata intends to become a knight, but not about Sebastian's fit about his sister but he may be able to get Sebastian to grow out of it. Gil summoned number 19 and whispered into it "Follow me after this meeting concludes." The whispers were then carried to the members of Gil's squad.

Seems all the girls were interested in the poor boy, Telia already going on to stalk him with Rex following after. Keke also caught interest trying to start a conversation. About to stop Telia from creeping the guy out, the headmistress came in with the announcement for the teams. Hearing her name being called, she was pleased to at least have one person she knew, Telia, while the others she had yet to meet.


To her surprise, the black-armored figure was also in her squad as she gave him a small smile in a gesture of being polite though she couldn't help but stare at his eyes that resembled the color of blazing flames. Turning her attention to another guy who held a strange sword with seven rings attached to the back -- who she believed to be their squad leader due to the fact he stood beside the other teachers -- Camilla nodded in silence to show she had got the message and went over to Telia so she wouldn't lose her again,"Lea! We're on the same team and looks like Rex and Keke are our rivals, how interesting." Camilla said with a soft giggle at the thought of them battling against one another.

Galahad found the other team members at the list "I'm Sir Galahad and you must be Jorian " it was more a statement but hung in the air like a question
