Fandom The Second Pirate Era (One Piece RP)

Calvin heard soft footsteps, and turned his head in the direction he heard them from. It was the same little girl from before, the one who had ordered the sandwich from the bar. She walked over and stood a little bit behind them, looking over his head at Kemuri's board. She seemed to be interested in it, from the obvious awe on her face. He laughed, then looked back at Kemuri testing the board. The little girl seemed harmless, so she didn't have to go away. All of them were pretty interested in it. He looked around, wondering where everyone else was. Now the town looked pretty deserted. What was happening here?

Suddenly, there was a muffled boom. He froze. It was distant, and probably just Goa trying out some new cannon type. But it still made him freeze. His breath caught in his throat. He jumped up, and looked back out to where he had seen the approaching ships. There was another boom, a little louder this time. It was definitely a cannon. And those were definitely not Navy ships. He gripped the handle of his White Katana, and started to run to the docks. His legs propelled him forward with intense speed. When he got to the edge of the longest dock, he put a hand over his eyes to block the sun out of his vision.

They were approaching fast. He could barely make out the color of the two vessels. One was bigger than the other, a dark red color, while the littler one was light blue. Another boom, and there was a huge splash of water next to him. Water flew around him, drenching him. He growled, then took a deep breath. "
PIRATES! EVERYONE EVACUATE TO GOA OR THE MOUNTAIN! NOW!!" He ran back and over to the farthest dock, looking for his raft. He found it finally, and jumped onto it, working on untying it from the pole.

"See... I knew things were gonna get fun... Hey little one you don't look to heavy and you're packing a weapon so you must know how to fight... If you're not to scared hop on the board... We're going pirate bashing..."

Kemuri chuckled reaching to her right side to grab the folded blue and silver contraption there. She hit a gear switch in the middle, watching as it sprung out and open, clicking in to place. The weapon, fondly named Vengance, was a compound bow. If one looked closely enough at her garb it was easy to see the slotted quiver of arrows handing on her back. She held her other hand out to the small girl who was staring awestruck at the board. To impatient to wait she grabbed the girls hand pulling her up behind her on the board and kicking it in to gear. She shot towards the beach catching up with Calving who was at the far end dock untying a raft. She pulled the board to a hover beside him, lighting another cigarette which she placed in her mouth as she did so.

"Want's some company...? Pretty sure I can tow you with SkyFire faster than the wind would take to get you out there..."

Lana noticed in the corner of her eye Alex and Igneous coming out from the tavern and join the little group. Without taking her eyes off the boats at sea, she backed up towards Cole. The ships seemed to get closer and closer. She furrowed her eyebrows in worry, as the knot in her stomach got tighter. But as she was still curious of this boys' name she shook the feeling off and turned towards him. It was probably just her being paranoid, and the ships were probably nothing to worry about. The wind caught her loose, blonde ponytail under her headband making it float with the breeze from the sea. Lana had heard Cole's comment on her pirate-buisness. "I never really caught your name. I'm Lana Margobold." she introduced herself with a wide grin.

Those ships still bothered her, but she decided to leave it be until the ships were close enough to be identified. She let go of her claymore hilts, crossing her arms behind her head instead with a relieved sigh as the knot in her stomach slowly faded. She suddenly winced as she remembered the poster in her pocket, offering it to Cole. It was the same curled-up poster she had asked Calvin about earlier. "Have you seen this filth of a man around?" she asked with one raised eyebrow, not really showing any anger or grief as she insulted the toothless, old man in the poster. Well, she was simply stating a fact.

Just as she had finished her question, she heard Calvin scream his warning about pirates. She froze in her steps and took a wide foothold, her eyes widening as she heard two loud booms. Cannons. She took a deep breath and drew one of her claymores in a completely calm matter even though her eyes screamed of ferocity and anger. "RUN!" she yelled viciously to the others, but kept her stance right where she was. Unable to move her feet, she placed both her hands on the hilt of the one claymore she had drawn. The other one still safe on her hip. Her eyes got wild, and she searched for Calvin who had disappeared from her sight. She saw the top of his head at sea-level by the docks. She clenched her teeth and pinched her leg with her index finger and thumb, in order to get her legs working again. As the numbness disappeared bit by bit, she sprinted towards the docks, yelling blurry words towards Calvin between the cannon-shots.

The two he had came to see had now left so Cole had no more reason to stay,so ask the girl started talking to him he had waved her off ashe got back up onto the roof just as easily and he came down. He hopped along the 'high road' to see what was up and when he heard someone yell about pirates, with a smile and a quick sprint he hurried to the docks to see the guy from before about to set off. Jump by jump he jumped from one post to the other along the docks till he reacted the pole he was trying to untie his raft from, then he quickly hopped on into it." Eh,ya going over there right?" He asked smiling pointing over to the ships coming in," if ya are ya mind droppin' me off." Not seeming to have any manners of course.

Calvin looked between each person, laughing. He looked at Lara, who was speaking unintelligible words. He was about to speak to her when another boom sounded, and a cannonball flew past where they all were, smashing into a cottage. He growled and looked at Kemuri. "I'd appreciate the help, actually." He handed one end of the rope up to her, and wrapped the other end on the raft. He looked at Cole, frowning. "For how much of an annoyance you are, just jumping on here like that, makes me want to teach you a lesson. You don't just hop onto another mans boat asking for a ride. But whatever. Yes."

He heard another boom, and this cannonball landed right in front of them, spraying water all over them. He gritted his teeth and drew his White Katana, holding it in front of him. He shone in the sunlight, and the water that fell from the sky slid right off of it. The point at the end of the blade gleamed, and he smiled. "
As long as none of you get in my way, let's work together. Come on, Lana! How long are you going to stand there?!" The raft could support each of them easily, so it would be fine if Lana jumped on.

Another shot was fired from the pirate ships, and they were getting close enough he could see pirates standing at the front of the largest ship. Almost all of them held swords, but he noticed a few with guns. A cannonball started to fly right to them. This one wouldn't miss. He growled and pulled his Katana back, then brought it forward quickly in a fast slash. The edge of the blade hit the cannonball, splitting it in half, and sending the two halves in opposite directions to the sides of them, falling into the shallow water and exploding. He smiled, checking to see if it left a mark on his sword.

"Alright then..."

She tied the rope of the raft loosely to her belt hook. Grinning as Calvin slashed the incoming cannonball in half. He had one really sharp sword. Exhaling a cloud of smoke that was faintly darker than it should have been she grabbed an arrow from her quiver. Stringing it on the bow she drew it back one eye closing. Her sight was no joke, one of the many reasons she was considered a marksman. She took aim at the larger ship, loosing and arrow that whined as it flew through the air. It hit the area of the ship were most of the gunners were standing. She waited a moment as it embedded in the deck before exploding loudly. She loved her arrows. She had one for just about any situation she could imagine. A thick plume of grey smoke rose from the deck of the ship.

"Let's get a move on huh...? I'd like to take them while they're still on the ships..."

Lana cursed to herself at the group of people at the dock while sprinting toward the raft. She prayed they wouldnt be getting in her way. Or get in to trouble. With her conscience, she'd end up in trouble as well. "Oh, shut up!" she yelled back at him, unable to keep back a grin and clenched her teeth, taking a leap from the dock into the raft just as Calvin split the cannonball in half. She bent her knees just as she landed on the raft, making her landing soft. Seawater sprayed all around them, and the cannonballs created big waves. The raft rocked slightly as she landed, but she easily kept her balance. "Those bastards.." she sneered towards the ship that was getting closer. As the ship came close enough for her to see, a growl came from her throat. She took a hold of her other claymore, taking it from it's sheat. Now, with dual-claymores, she nodded as a 'go' to Kemuri.

Cole smiled at Calvin's reply," I'll be takin' all that as a complement."he chuckled just before hearing another shot. He sighed making his way to the edge of the raft nearest to the ships, slinging out his guy he had quickly reached in his pocket and clicked on a small scope to his gun. Holding his leg out to rest his gun on he got ready to fire like a sniper would,"gees your booming and banging's getting annoying...." He said as he aimed grabbing a handful of bullets out of his pocket. He loaded one and in less then five seconds he had taken a shot, and in a swift move had reloaded and taken another one. Rotating through the same actions he took him aim and shot waiting for the rest of the little group they had to get going.

He had gotten one of the ship's sails to collapse and had taken down whatever head popped up in his vision,he wasn't really counting." Try keepin' it steady..." He asked referring to when they would start moving.

While we were watching the girl on her hover board we heard a cannon shot. "uh oh" she said not sure what to do the girl on the hover board asked if she wanted to hop on. "Yes totally!" she couldn't believe she was getting on something like this if her mother knew she would be so mad. She laughed to herself at the thought. Then the girl offered her hand and Alex jumped on. "Whoa this is so awesome!"

"Ask the sea for steadiness not me... I got all the smooth sailing I need... Now hold on little one..."

Kemuri didn't bother to puller her goggles down as her foot hit the gear and then the accelerator. The board hummed softly and shot through the air, towing the raft behind it. With her foot heavy on the pedal SkyFire was living up to her name, kicking up a fine spray from the ocean from the air it was putting off. Turning slightly she grabbed another arrow from her quiver this one she shot at the back end of the raft. A long cord ran from the arrow back to the bow and grabbing it she hooked it to her belt. Wrapping on arm around the small girl behind her she leaned back urging the board straight up in to the. With the two cords attached to the raft she was able to lift it as well bringing it even with the ships deck as she remained on the board. She grinned her hand flying swiftly from bow to quiver as she unleashed a hail of explosive arrows along the deck.

"Well get to it... I'd rather not be playing the sitting duck..."

Henry decided to watched from the Tavern even when Igneous decided to get closer. He didn't want to get close to the weirdo that dropped from the sky. He only move when the man with the katana yelled PIRATES. Pirates! At that moment everybody started to run to the mountain but Henry started pushing pass the crowd. He could smile the hint of piss the the stamped.

As he made it by he saw through the thick crowd he that everyone around the white haired girl was on the run, To the ships! "Why are you running to the pirate ships? Brave fuckers I'll say." He laughed. He reached for his daggers but then stopped himself. "Fuck it, To far out. Looks like I'll be waiting for them to dock. Hell not even my problem...But they could have a boat. I could use that." He said outlook as he talked to himself.

Calvin laughed at Lana, then pointed his sword at the ship. He looked at Cole. "Don't destroy the thing, alright?" He saw another cannonball fly past them, and slam into the ground close to the tavern. He growled and turned his eyes to Kerumi. As they became level with the deck, he slashed at three pirates coming towards them, cutting there weapons. He scoffed. "Weak steel." He looked at Kerumi and growled. "I said don't destroy the thing, alright!" He jumped off and slammed his heel into the gut of a pirate. He doubled over, and Calvin easily flipped him off the edge. He turned to about two dozen other pirates, and held up his White Katana. He ducked as a bullet flew over his head, then with amazing speed, ran forward and cut down each pirate. He noticed a few coming up behind him, so he turned and slammed the dull edge of the katana into them, flinging them off the edge. He could be considered a master of Ittoryu, which was using one sword, and he could prove it. He jumped and slammed the dull edge into the skull of the closest pirate, watching him crumple to the floor. He looked at all the people who joined him and laughed. "Come on you guys, fight!"

Igneous stood in curiosity as a few people ran to fight while one of them ordered the others to hide Igneous wondered why he had so much power to command was it due to his strength or was he a leader in some way. He walks over to the docks to get a better look at the hero's of the town and to his surprise the man was capable of slicing a cannon ball in half "Impressive" he said to himself as he took a look at the others were they as capable as him "This is very entertain" he takes a seat. He was then impressed again the inventor girl shot explosive arrows and the gunner was a ace shot "Who knew so many special people could gather on an ordinary island" he smiled as his eyes danced across the field of battle.

Lana bent her knees as the raft suddenly moved, unaffected by the sudden movement. Seawater sprayed across her face and she grinned widely as they approached the ship. "Thanks for the ride!" she yelled before dropping down after Calvin in the middle of the deck with her dual-claymores readied in front of her. An explosive from Kemuri exploded nearby, as three pirates came sprinting towards Lana. Two of them with swords, a third with a revolver-type of gun. An evil smile came across her face and as the two swordsmen came close enough. She put her claymores in a vertical angle, one tip pointing down the other one up, and slashed in the opposite direction with a playful ease. The sound of steel meeting flesh was all around her. The man with a gun pointed it at her and she raised an eyebrow at him. His aim was too easy to read and she had noticed four other swordsmen behind her. He pulled the trigger. She jumped into a front-flip, her claymores beneath her in the shape of a cross. She corrected the angle of them in mid-air, as the gunner looked up at her in surprise. She cut the bullet into four pieces with her cross-shape, having them hit the four swordsmen behind her with impressive accuracy. As she swiftly landed on her feet, with her back towards the gunner, she thrusted the hilt into the mans stomach. When he bent over in pain, she raised her boot and kicked him hard enough to send him overboard.

Everything that was going on was like stories she would read in her books she couldn't believe it was actually happing. They got closer to the ship and Kemuri unleashed a hail of explosive arrows along the deck. "Whoa" Alexed said amazed. "Well here I go." she jumped off the board and pulled out her swords and yelled "Well hoped my training paid off!" and started fighting.

"Shut it... If I break it I'll fix it..."

Kerumi grinned taking another arrow from her back and aiming it at a group of gunners on the upper deck. Her eyes narrowed slightly as the arrow flew through the air, whirring it released a strong but web thing net from a capsule on the end. The net caught the group, pinning them to the deck. She was pleased to sea that her stick nets worked but decided that the arrows were becoming a bit to slow for her liking. Folding the bow back at her side she pulled her rifle down from her back. Rummaging in pouch she retrieved a small container of medium sized black pellets with a pale orange band around the center. Opening the canister at the bottom her her gun she slid the container in before shutting it. Dropping to a knee on the still hovering board she brought the rifle to her shoulder, eyes narrowing as she took aim. There were plenty of targets just ripe for the picking scuttling around on the deck. She started pulling the trigger, her body moving except for the little it had to adjust her aim. She decided to pick out the other gunners first, aiming for the ones swarming the higher decks. Each time she pulled the trigger a small explosion followed a body dropping to the deck.

"Yea,yea. I wont destroy nothin important..." He smiled,he took of the scope and stuck it back in his pocket, then jumping onto the ship he staying on the rail as he continued to shoot down one pirate at a time. Getting an opening he put his gun back on his back and took his position up high,"gees these losers ain't got nothing up here..." He grumbling having little to work with but up high he was able to take shots a lot easier. So from above he got his gun ready and was the eye in the sky making sure none of the others were overwhelmed or didn't see someone coming.

Calvin watched as a bullet flew past him and exploded on a pirate to his left. He turned to Kerumi. "I bet you can fix the ship, but I'm sure you can't fix me if one of those bullets connects with my skull!" He cut down a few more pirates. He looked down at his White Katana. There wasn't a speck of blood on it, as he expected. He heard a pirate behind him, so he just flipped the sword so the blade was behind him, and it ran through the pirate's stomach. He noticed ladders on the side of the ship, and pirates climbing up them, probably from the smaller ship. He laughed and ran over, his Katana dancing around him like a living thing. He still held it so the blade was pointing downward, allowing him a defensive power over the pirates. He heard a creaking sound, and looked down. There were splits in the floor, and he looked up at Kerumi. "This is why I don't like-" The floor broke under him, and he fell down to the lower floor. "EXPLOSIVES!" He landed on his feet, and saw he was surrounded by pirates. So there had been more under the deck. He laughed and flipped his sword so it was upright. "Welcome to Hell..." He smiled wickedly and held his White Katana in one hand and had his opposite hand on his still sheathed sword.

"I'm not sorry..."

Kemuri called out watching as he fell through a hole in the deck. He could take care of himself. She shrugged and decided to go have have her fun on the smaller ship. SkyFire was perfectly capable of maintaining a hover with out her aboard. Locking the craft in to that gear she jumped from the board, faint smoke coming from her feet, as she glided on to the deck of the other ship. She switched weapons as she did so, trading her rifle for her bow once again. Landing on the deck she pulled out three arrows. She shoot them at the ladders stretching from on ship to the next, watching the middles explode, dropping any unfortunate enough to be on them in to the water. The remaining pirates on that ship were now trapped with her. Of course looking at the red eyed girl wielding only a bow on wouldn't think her much of a threat. Lowering her cigarette from her lips she flicked it on to the deck grinding it out under her boot.

"Let's play..."

She grinned as a group of sword wielding pirates rushed her. She didn't bother to draw another arrow. Instead she turned using the bow itself as weapon. Catching two blades she twisted her wrist, flicking them out the hands of the pirates and into the wood of the deck. She spun snapping a high kick to their faces and sending them sprawling out across the deck. At the same time she spun the bow slamming it bodily into the remaining two. The white haired woman soon became a blur of blue and silver steel and flying bodies, almost dancing across the deck as she slashed, parried, and kicked pirates. She grinned the whole time, smoke pluming from her mouth. Now this was the excitement she was missing.

Lana had gained a few seconds from her previous move, and climbed up on the rail to get a good look of the situation. She had trained at reading her enemies, their powers and moves and gotten quite good at it. Her eyes trailing only for a few seconds, before she was interrupted by a creaking sound followed by a loud snap. Turning on her heel, she caught a glimpse of Calvin falling through the floor and giggled to herself. Her amusement was interrupted by a swordsman attempting to stab her in the back. Fast as lightning, she moved her claymore to her back, cutting his blade in half. His surprised look amused her and he stumbled backwards. He hit the railing, and she simply pushed a finger to his chest to get him overboard. "Hey there, blondie." a rusty voice said behind her followed by laughter. She turned with one eyebrow raised in annoyance, and placed her left claymore back in it's sheath. A dozen pirates had gathered in front of her, obviously underrestimating her. A grin widened across her face as they all attacked at once. She grabbed the closest rope, and swung around it, avoiding the first two attacks without much effort. She released her grip in mid-air, flying feet-first into the next two, knocking them unconscious. "Surprise, fellas." she said loudly as she placed both her hands on the hilt of her sword, smiling wryly. She angled her claymore horizontally, bringing her hip and shoulder in with an all offensive move. She felt the sharp line of her sword dig into man by man, until her attackers had fallen around her like flies. She now stood on the edge of where Calvin had fallen. "You alright there, buddy?" she yelled, and blocked an attack from a man with a spear, much bigger than she was.

There were pirates every where she could't believe how many there were. One after one she never had to fight like this before it was getting to be a little much but she kept going. She got to this one pirate who seemed to be staring at her he walked up to her and said "Hey haven't I seen you before?" "No why do you ask?" this was bad she hoping he didn't think she was the princess. "That's it I know who you are." he said and took out a poster that said bring back alive princess Alexandra of Gao and it had her pic on it. "That's not me" He looked at her like she was stupid and said ""Come on I know it's you now your mother is offering a big reward now why don't you come along." he reached for her arm and she jerked away and said "Who else on this ship knows?" she asked. "No one just me and let me tell you I'm collecting that reward." he lunched at her. and she gave a good kick to the head and knocked him out he wasn't dead so she quickly took the poster from his hands and put it in her pocket and kept fighting.

Calvin tripped a pirate that had tried to impale him with a sword, sending him into another group of pirates on the other side of him. He looked up at Lana and laughed. "It's be better if these guys posed a challenge!" He swung is katana at a group that tried pressing him against the opposite side, instead making them back up. He laughed madly, his sword cutting into the chest of a bald pirate. He kept laughing as he fought, not noticing the larger pirate sneak up behind him. He felt a fist slam into his side, sending him flying into a wall. He hit it hard, the sharp wood digging into his back. He spit out blood, then looked up at the pirate. He tilted his head, looking the man over. He had a scraggly beard, and a yellow smile. His eyes were blue, and he wore a hat with a feather in it. He also wore a long cape, like what marines or pirates wore. The man laughed, lifting a pistol to Calvin's head. Calvin spat out some more blood. He noticed his White Katana a little ways behind the man.

He sighed and looked at the man. "
Who are you?" The large man laughed, cocking the pistol. "Vice-Captain Burglar, and this is my pirate crew. Now, let me ask you, what stupid kid would take on a wanted man, especially a pirate, who is worth 30,000 Berri?" Calvin laughed, slowly standing up. "Calvin Bento." He looked up at Lana. She seemed to be mixing between watching him and fighting pirates. He turned his attention back to Burglar, and smiled devilishly. "I'm the Hellborn Angel. And sorry to say, but that bounty is nothing." He suddenly lunged himself at Burglar. Again, it felt like time slowed down. He saw Burglar's finger tighten on the trigger, and the bullet leave the barrel. His hand went to his katana. In less than a second, he was behind Burglar, Burglar's gun cut in pieces on the floor. Calvin now held his opposite sword, having an almost completely red blade and a black edge. He smiled, the sword pressed against the skin of Burglar's neck. "Now, where's the Captain of this ship?"

Cole watched as Calvin seemed to have the big guy busy and the others were doing rather well,he was sitting on a rope tied from one post to another."guess I can't label any of them useless...what do you think bud?" He said turning to one of the pirates he hung by the neck with the ropes. He was tired of wasting his bullets so he decided to deal with his other talent, now a dozen pirates hung from their necks in the air. Cole sighed." Right...ya ain't there no more." He said shoving the dead corpse he was talking to aside,he smiled." Welcome to the hangyard,bud..." Standing up on the rope he was sitting on he walked along it leaving the dead dudes hanging,he was running out of rope on the ship too and didn't want to use his own." Gees what a pain..." He huffed.

Lana didn't have the time to respond to Calvin, nor make sure the others who had joined were okay. She heard a loud thud from below deck, but ignored it. The man with a spear was much stronger than she had anticipated. She felt an ache in her muscles, but managed to get a good foothold and push his spear back with a strained face. He was almost completely bald, and almost 6'5'', with a group of pirates behind him. His spear, almost as long as he was, thrusted towards her once again, just barely dodging it by spinning in the opposite direction. The sun was somewhat shielded by her headband. Smiling mid-spin she turned the dull part of her sword towards the tall man to create a reflection from the sun to temporarily blind him. The man automatically raised his arms, and gave Lana an opportunity to kick him in the gut and draw her left claymore once again and run them both through each of his shoulder. The man shrieked in pain, dropping his spear. Taking speed, Lana kicked hard off the ground and sent the man back into the group of pirates, sending them on their backs. She pulled her claymores out of the big mans' shoulders, and placed the left one safely in it's sheath.

There was no end to these guys. The few seconds she had gained, she looked up and noticed Cole up-high. She grinned as she saw all the pirates, hanging by their necks around him. Seemed like he could manage.. Turning around, she noticed Alex fighting another pirate. As she seemed to manage herself as well, she looked about for Kemuri. Not being able to find her, she cursed and ran across deck. It didn't take long for Lana to find the white-haired smoker from the trail of pirates who had hit the ground around her. She sighed in relief, just in time to feel a hand shove her over the railing. A faint shriek left her lips, and she caught one of the lower ropes just above sealevel. As she looked upwards to figure who her attacker was, he seemed much more powerful than the others she had fought until now. The man grinned with a devilish smile and pulled a gun from his belt. "Crap." she mumbled and readied her claymore with one hand, her other hand keeping her over the water. Well, this was quite the disadvantage. For some reason, she couldn't anticipate his next move of attack as there was several ways to kill her as she was now.
