The Prince and The Maid [1x1] (Twilight sparkle and Kitty-Chan)

Yuki's ears went back in embarrassment, "Y-yes ma'am." He said, making his way back over to the bed, and sitting down. He had been clumsy for as long as he could rememberm which is one of the reasons he now noticed that trying to climb the mountain for flowers was a stupid idea, and he shouldn't have done it.

"Thank you." Yuki said, standing up. "I'm going to go to the dining hall now." He exited the room, and bowed, before running off.

When Yuki got to to the dining hall, he sat down, with a sigh. He turned to Akari, who was still in her cat form, and sitting in a chair.

"So, you said we needed to talk?"

"Oh yes." Akari mewed. "Do you want me to tell you about when we met? You said you didn't remember, so I thought you might want to know."

"Okay, later." Yuki said.

Nichole was looking at one of the flowers that was given to her. She smelled it some and thought. The queen sat down and breakfast was brought out.

Akari licked her paw, and then began to eat, her tail high in the air.

Yuki looked around, no fish today. Sighing, he began to eat what was there. He didn't need to eat fish for every meal after all, though it would be cool.

Yuki excused himself, standing up. He was going to listen to what Akari had to say, and then he was going to think of a way to express whatever he was feeling.

Using his heart to think, of course.

Akari jumped off of her seat, and followed Yuki, making sure to give Nichole a nasty look on her way out. She was a very envious little cat, and didn't like Nichole. Needing to talk to Yuki was a good thing, concidering this way she got more time with him.

Nichole glared back at akari. She finished breakfast. "Excuse me your majesty may I use your library? " curtsying. The queen nodded and smiled. Nichole thanked her and went to the library to read. Nichole picked out some good romance novels.

Kiyo padded into the library smirking. He saw nichole and hopped onto the table. "Hello~" he said changing back. Nichole said"put on some clothes please!" Covering her eyes. Kiyo chuckled and put on some clothes.

Yuki sat down on his bed, and breathed hard. "I have a lot less energy now, don't I?" He asked himself. Then, he changed into a cat, so the conversation would be more private. From those who weren't nekos or animals. But, he soon regretted it, the bandages on his eye being now to large for him, and falling off, as he crawled out from inside the clothes that were also to big now. The scars over his eye showed, and he sighed, before meowing.

"So, what do you want, Princess?"

Akari sat down, and looked away. "Well, your mother has refused my parents' offer." She said.

"So, you have to leave now?" Yuki asked, walking closer, and also sitting.

"Yes. I'm afraid so." Akari answered. "Unless. . ."

"Unless what?" Yuki got a little worried.

"Unless, you can convense your mother to agree." Akari said, getting a lot closer to Yuki. "So, will you help me Prince?"

"I don't know, Princess." Yuki replied, backing up. "What was the-"

"The deal?" Akari sighed. "You know, the usual. But, please? I really want to stay here!" She moved closer again.

"I can't agree until I know what this is about." Yuki moved away. "So?"

"Me getting married to y-" Akari started, but Yuki interuppted her.

"What!? Us!? Get married!? Why!? I'm not ready to get married! I didn't even want to attend my own birth day ball! All because I'd have to choose a bride right then, from a bunch of people I'd never spoken to, or only said one or two sentenses to!"

"B-but, I love you, Yuki!" Akari said, before running to her room, upset.

Yuki sighed, and curled up under his bed. "Great." He mumbled. "This is just great."

Nichole grumbled and said"what do you want kiyo?" Kiyo said"i wanted to know. Do you have feelings for Prince yuki?" Nichole said"I do. I love him. " kiyo chuckled and said"he's out of your league. How can you compete with princess akari? She's royalty. I bet she already confessed. It'll be too late." Nichole teared up and ran to her room. Kiyo smiled and said"a job well done."

Yuki knew he needed to go cheer Akari up, even though he didn't want to. So, he headed out to the room she was using.

When the prince got there, he saw Akari on her bed, sobbing. She hadn't even bothered to put on any clothes after transforming, so Yuki had to look away, with a slight flustered blush.

"Um. . .Princess Akari?" He asked.

Akari looked up, "What is it, my dearest Prince?" She asked.

"Well, you just want to stay here, right?" Yuki asked. "I may be able to work something else out with my mother."

"But, I want to marry you!" Quark said, jumping up, and hurrying over to Yuki. She picked him up, and hugged him tightly.

"Ah!" Yuki squeaked, surprised. "W-w-what are you doing!?"

"Giving you a hug." Akari answered simply. "You like hugs, don't you?"

"Yes, but you're naked, please, please, please get some clothes on." Yuki begged.

"I don't see what the big deal is." Akari said, her voice showing signs that she may start crying again. "But, if you want me to, I will, my dearest." With that, she released the prince, and went to go dress.

Kiyo hummed walking down the hall and chuckled. well thats ones problem solved. Now if akari marries yuki he'll be out of my hair and I can get nikki. he grinned and said"heh she's playing right into my paws. Now how do I get on her good side while he's on her badside?" He said to himself as he passed by akari's room. Nichole sniffled and stayed in her room refusing to come out. "He's right...yuki deserves better..." Nichole said starting to put herself down.

Akari walked back over to Yuki in a white dress with a bit of gold trimming. She'd also grabbed her crown. Sitting down, she smiled. "Is this better?" She asked.

"Yes, a lot better acctually." Yuki sighed. "Thank you."

"So, you'll marry me now, right?" Akari asked, with a smile. "I put this dress on just for you!"

"No." Yuki answered, a bit harsher than he had originally meant to. "Now, I thought you were going to tell me about when we met."

"Oh, right right." Akari said, putting her finger to her chin. "The day we met. . .nope!"

Yuki stepped back a bit, shocked. "W-what'd you say!?" He asked. "What do you mean by 'nope'?"

"I mean I don't remember." She answered. "But, if you were to go on a date with me tomorrow, it'd probably jog my memory."

Yuki thought for a bit, "You really think that'd work?" He asked, only a little suspicious. "Alright. But, don't call it a date."

"I shall follow your orders the best I can, my prince!"

"Okay." Yuki sighed. "Now, if you don't mind, I've got stuff to do." And, with that, he ran off.

Getting back to his room, Yuki looked around for something that may impress Nichole.

Nichole sniffled and hid under her cover. "he's right..how do I compare to royalty?" She sulked. Nichole then sighed and stood up. "I-ill just have to try harder." Her voice wavering some. Nichole then jogged to the kitchen and started to bake. She put a lot of care into her special berry tart. It wasnt too sweet and it wasnt too tart.

It then hit Yuki, "That's it!" He meowed, shifting back into his human form. He pulled on some pretty plain clothes, at least, as plain as he had, and hurried down the hall.

Soon, he arrived at a piano, and lightly touched it. "I'd forgotten all about this." He said to himself. "I'm not even sure if I remember how to play."

Stepping back, he scratched his head, close to his right ear. "First thing's first." He sighed. "Remember what comes first. First, is I sit down, and get ready? Yeah."

He shrugged, as he decided he would do that, since he had no other ideas, and it sounded right. And, it wasn't like anyone else was around to suggest anything else. Since there was no other idea, it was easy for him to make up his mind.

Sitting down on the bench, he opened the thing, to reveal the keys. "Okay, so far, so good." He said. "Now injuries, no screaming, let's continue."

Akari happily skipped down the hall, when she smelled something. "Mmm. . ." She closed her eyes, and leaned in. It smelled like, some kind of pie, or maybe tarts? Without much more thought, she followed the delicious smell, her tail swaying.

But, she stopped, when she saw who was baking the pastries producing the yummy smell, that was making the princess' mouth water. Trying to stay hidden, she watched quietly.

Nichole hummed and added a mint leaf."Giggle looks good. Juts let it cool more." A timer went off. "Hm? Oh! The cake! " Nichole took out three pans. "There let them cool too." Nichole got some powdered sugar and cream. She whisked them together humming a tune. The cakes cooled down and nodded took them and frosted the three layer cake. She cut some fruit and added on top. The first cake was vanilla, the second strawberry and the last layer a rich chocolate. Kiyo sneaked up behind her and said"looks good." His hands over her eyes. Nichole on reflex grabbed his arm flipping him on his back hard. She glared at him and said"leave me alone. " Nichole covered the cake and tart smiling. Both looked amazing.

Jealousy boiled inside Akari, she couldn't bake. She could just dance, and sing, and choose nice clothes. But, she knew that Yuki liked sweets and fish, and a girl who could bake had a larger chance of getting with the prince.

Thinking harder, she tried to decide what to do. If she did the wrong thing, or anything at the wrong time, it could destroy her.

She could learn how to bake too.

But, Nichole wasn't going to teach her, she knew that. Who would want to have HER as their teacher anyways?

Then, there was the queen, which Akari wasn't sure if she could bake, and was, frankly, to scared to ask.

She could ask the cooks, but if anyone found out, she may get laughed at, for turning to them.

Yuki didn't bake, and she wasn't about to ask him anyways.

And, last, there was this Kiyo person. He seemed simple and weak, and was deffinetly flirty.

'Well, he doesn't bake.'

She thought.

'And, that's the last person I can think of, so that idea's out.'

She could do something better than baking.

But, everything she could think of that she could do wouldn't beat out baking.

She could always, I don't know. . .ruin Nichole's sweet treats.

But, she would need help.

'That Kiyo guy looks like he likes Nichole.'

She thought.

'Though I don't know why. . .I won't question it. But, if he helps me get Yuki, he can have the other girl. I just need to speak with him in private.'

With that, she eagerly awaited a distraction.

Yuki set his fingers on the keys, and inhaled. "Well, here goes." He said to himself, before beginning to play a song, he only vaguely remembered.

He messed up pretty often, but it wasn't. . .terrible. The music could be heard in several places in the castle, but with the big palace, it wasn't all that manny.

"Well, this is easier than I remember it being." He sighed, relieved. "I wonder if Nichole can hear it. . ."

Nichole smiled hearing the music. Itvwas beautifu. Nichole picked up the cake and tart while she danced. She spun gracefully keeping on her toes. Nichole followed the music and giggled. Then saw yuki playing the piano and smiled.

Kiyo stood and grabbed."ow. Damn."rubbing his back.

Yuki noticed Nichole come in, and got distracted for a bit, hitting the wrong key. When he heard the mess up, he turned his attention back to the piano. "Hi, Nichole." He said. "What smells so good?"

Akari took the chance, and hurried over to Kiyo. "Hey, you." She whispered. "I have an offer you can't refuse. You help me get Yuki, and in return, I help you get Nichole."

Yuki blushed, as he finished playing. "Really?" He asked. "I thought I messed up a lot. I haven't played in a while."

Akari smirked, "Okay." She said. "Any ideas? She took the cake and tarts with her, so we can't just ruin those. At least, not without a distraction."

Nichole said"you did great." She placed the cake and tart on the table and sat at the piano. She hummed and pressed her ringers on the keys playing s beautiful melody. It was a bit sad but beautiful all the same. (Innocence sorrow from d.grayman)

Kiyo nodded and smirked.

"I think you're doing better." Yuki replied, blushing. "But, I'm glad you think I did good. Because, I had my doubts."

"Okay, what should we do to the sweets though?" Akari asked. "We could put something in or on them to make them taste bad, but what? And, we'll also need a distraction."

Nichole giggled and said" you're welcome yuki. And thank you. Just remember the song in your head and the tempo also the melody then you'll be able to play it. Want some tart or cake? " standing.

Kiyo said"hold on." He got a bottle of hot sauce and smirked. "Ok we need something. Oh!" He kicked a vase over.

Yuki was about to answer, when he heard a loud crash. "What was that!?" He asked, his ears flicking. "Come on, let's go check it out."

Akari nodded, "Okay, let's go." She said. "But, remember to make it look like we're not going to the same place, because that'll look suspicious. Yuki and Nichole should be down here any minute now."
