Charlie Parker
Soulmoon Guard
Location: Soulmoon Camp
As Charlie crossed the camp towards Arthur, she tilted her head up, watching the snowflakes fall down and land all over the camp. Giving in to a puppish impulse, she stuck out her tongue, catching one and giggling as it melted in her mouth, then quickly looked around to see if anyone had seen that. A rosy flush spread across her cheeks, and she quickly made her way to the Alpha, dropping down beside him and accepting the blanket, pulling it around her. The residual warmth Arthur left was cozy and comfortable, and she snuggled into it until only her head and boots were visible.
"Looks like it," she agreed as he remarked on the weather. "But I kind of like the cold." It made her feel more... more herself, though she didn't quite know how to explain it. He went inside to find another blanket. Tracing her finger through a patch of nearby snow, she got curious and tried to lift some of it with her powers. The flakes trembled on the ground, then a handful of snow zipped through the den entrance, making her jump and lose her control on the snowball. Oops.
Before she could jump up and sweep the mess away, Arthur returned, but to her relief, he didn't seem to notice, staring out into the camp that looked like it had a white blanket of its own.
"We're doing good, I guess. I don't know about you, but I'm loving the winter." She grinned. "It hasn't been too easy, of course, but we'll get through it. We're a pack. All we need to do is stay together, do our best, and more often than not, everything will work out." If she'd had her tail, it would have been held high with pride. "Or, well, sometimes, anyway." She curled the blanket tighter in slight embarrassment from giving their leader such a speech, deciding to ask how he was instead.
"What about you? It can't be easy being Alpha, especially with everything that's happened."
