The Ravager, Captain's quarters. Laysiir


Laysiir was inside the captain's quarters, his alarm blared and then he got up, he pressed a button on the small clock, turning the alarm off, he then got up from his bed and walked over to his armor stand, he then got armored up and was ready to go, he took a quick look at his wrist computer and then walked out of the quarters, heading over to the bridge.


Once Laysiir got to the bridge, he sat down in his captain's chair and took a look outside, the ship was near a popular smuggling planet, Laysiir thought for a moment before saying out loud "Set the course for surface" Laysiir then awaited a response from his crew, he looked around and noticed that his crew wasn't the biggest, he then sighed before pressing a button on his chair, the ship's AI responded "Destination set, docking clearance acquired.".


The ravager then began to fly down towards the planet, softly landing in an empty hangar, the hangar door closing behind.

Omega awoke from sleeping and stood up. Omega walked down to the commons. Omega loaded up a basic HUD and flipped on his scanners. "Hello?" Omega walked to the center of the room. He checked his arm that had lit up. Omega has been going through a malware virus recovery. He had stepped outside of his room for the first time since 48 hours.

Aether paused the training program as he heard Vienna tell him his inheritance. Mondas...may have to wait mother...the ravager is here in the city...they docked..dana said they arrived this morning at o three in the morning. The blue print I gave you is finished and the new weapon awaits you in the armory. I gave you a new clip and dana mass produced enough for every crew member to use. It's an infinity clip. Limitless ammunition for long drawn battles. I tested it jn the training room and the ammunition read unknown clip size. My creation was a success. I have also sent the doc some reports as the diakis blood has proven most useful for medical purposes and the skin has proven effective as diakis can withstand even volcanic acid. Also I can run a scan of Mondas ecosystems for any dangerous wildlife we may possibly encounter on the planets surface when we arrive there. At any rate mother..I'm not upset..I was just confused..I didn't think my powers were lumian origin. Guess that explains my eyes then. I will finish my tests later. I will be visiting the market for new materials. Was hoping maybe I could bring you along..I know we aren't related..but your practically a mother to me..is there anything I should look for in the markets while we are here?" "I'll see if I can make time to go with you to the market but until then I think you should go to the lab with Aratorio to run a DNA test for you, I'm sure he'd be happy to do it." Vienna told him as she pushed the button again and the map disappeared from the wall as well as the hologram. "...Meanwhile I need to find Jack, do you know where he might be?" Vienna asked the two as she walked over to a small dresser and she pulled it out. It had all of her emergency weapons stored in there, and when she needed to use them she would have to put in a pin. Vienna secretly put in the pin number to the case and took out an garter which she usually straps to her upper leg whenever she is going out and doesn't want to bring her whole suit with her. Vienna put the pin back in to lock the case and she strapped the garter on her leg over her black tights and she slipped a small gun into it as well as a small throwing knife.

Aratorio would sigh and knew she was right when she had said that he knew there was gonna be bloodshed. Despite being a doctor and a trained swordsman he had hated bloodshed due to his attachment to people. He would stand up and heads to the lab to read over files that are deemed secret from the other crew except the captain. He knew that Aether wasn't complete human as he also did dna background on the crew to make sure of any genetic problems so he could prepare for them just in case. He would sit at his desk in the corner and sighed as he was becoming bored sitting on the ship but was to timid to go off by himself as he would possibly get into a fight for helping a injured person on the planet.

Alexa dressed herself properly, in onyx boots and a black jacket. She made her way past the armaments and crew members of the Ravager, an infamous ship among the stars if there ever was one.


She stopped in between corridors, as the ship lurched. Clearly they were beginning their descent onto the surface, something Alexa was more than ready for, as the past few days had been filled with meaningless endeavors among people she had already commanded respect from.


She turned on her heel and made her way toward the bridge. The Captain was there if the order to dock had been given, and she was interested as to the progress of their mutual objective.


The door glided apart to reveal consoles and the headmaster himself, sitting upon his self righteous throne. She didn't hate the captain, although Laysiir, as anyone else could, got on her nerves more than once.


Alexa strutted to Laysiir's right side, tilting her head to face him. "I had some questions, Laysiir. About our objective, and our opponents." She spoke softly, a lull to most. "Specifically, if you have any idea as to where they are."





Alexa watched as the loading bay doors opened before them and smirked. First thing she was going to do was break some poor toy salesmen. She turned back to Laysiir and awaited his answer.

Aether looked at doc. "No need...I believe the captain already...im going out to the markets..." He walked to his suit and put it on and his helmet attachment folded it around his head. He looked at the captain. I'm bringing my lightning gun and energy scythe just in case trouble occurs.. I heard from a local that the underground markets were closed off due to skyscythe sightings. The adults usually sleep deep underground at those depths...if I complete this mission. We could have a colossal one million credit bonus at our disposal...amelia wants to shoot something with the cannons.. I recommend she takes a fighter pod out to the high planes and await for me. I can lure the beast there...I brought the individual who requested me to undertake this task aboard. His name is Lerman aviara he manages all of the underground markets. He says he is willing to hand over not only the one million credit bounty to us but also restock our supplies with anything and everything we need free of charge as thanks...may I do this mother? I have the wings needed..." He opened a set of four holes in the back of his suit and four dragon like wings made of diamonds had stretched forth. "I definitely believe dad....im glad he met you...or I could have been killed by the ravagers...their captain killed my father...at least I think it was the captain..." He shouldered his lightning gun in its rifle form and then grabbed a box containing his energy scythe. "I practiced day and night tirelessly mother..I can take on the skyscythe queen with amelia to aid me..." He walked out of the area and appeared in the doorway. "Amelia...you want to use the new fighter craft cannons I installed on the pods? I'm going to take on the skyscythe queen that Lerman mentioned in the markets two nights ago..up for a good but long firefight against a living breathing skyscythe?" He brought up his comms link. "Mother...we need the credits and resources..I am ready to go now..." @Ami the breadling @Arubion Sivart

Jack was sitting in his chair, trying to concentrate upon this good book, times like were bliss for him, whenever he wasn't constantly working, talking or fighting, sleeping or maintaining, he was reading. He tried to concentrate, on the book, but in turn, heard Nivea in his mind, looking for him. Of course, it was pretty ordinary for someone to look for him, usually because of a impending situation. He was currently in his sleek suit, with a tie and all, even though it was quite old-fashioned, he felt quite 'original' doing this.


He exited his room as he made his way to her sleeping quarters, briskly walking through the hallways until he ended up near her room. He opened the door, as he met the captain readying herself for a probability.


"Ma'am, I believe your were looking for me, do you need any assistance?" He politely asked her, not in his usual gruff and barking voice he uses for most males, probably because he's chivalrous, probably because they're older than her. The probabilities are endless, but alas! It was not the main matter currently.

Aratorio would finish off his records for the time being and would close them up before going to his room. In his room he would dress in a simplistic kendo outfit without the face guard. He'd grab a water and would head to the training room to go work out as he rarely gives himself time to. He'd see the captain and Jake wondering if those two had something between them, if they did he'd be a bit jealous as he had developed somewhat of a crush on the captain. He'd hold his sword against his metal chest protector and would be gripping it's custom sheath.

"No, ma'am. I do not believe the maclisian girls caught my attention, I think they abhor me, in a more or less scale." He casually replied to the captain's question, which was of course, a play at humour.


"So, you're sending that young kid to fight the sky-scythe queen? You're sure he'll make it? Aether is a good kid but he's a little flaky and Amelia, she doesn't even know how to function properly near males, but as you say so, ma'am." Jack asked her as he slightly rotated towards Aratorio's direction.


"Aratorio, would you please care to come here? I'd like a word with you." He said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Aratorio would gasp as he remembered about Jack. "What.. do you want.." He'd walk close and stares at Jack with his more childish look. If he thought of opposites they'd be it as Jack was muscular compared to his own fragile and smaller frame. Cause of his body frame he could pass as younger then he should which would irk him a bit at times. Aratorio would hold his sword tighter cause he knew Jack would've most likely picked up on what he had thought.

Vienna began moving towards him slowly, "You need to stop looking down on him Jack, he's learning. I know you were possibly as ambitious as him, give him a chance." Vienna added as she was standing face to face with him. "Please don't do anything that I wouldn't do," She told Jack as she heard him call Aratorio over to have a word with him. She slowly walked away towards the window and she leaned against the edge of the closed window watching the two as they engaged in a conversation.

"I want an economical report on our medicinal finances, I have an economical plan in here, I brought you here so even the captain can see it." He said as he he clicked on the holographic manipulator and projector on his wrist, which produced a hologram of this year's finance reports. He specifically zoomed in on the medicinal finances section, as he started a lecture in how medicinal costs could be lessened.


"We're running low in funds, so I suggest we buy an electrostatic stasis field generator, it can reduce usage of anaesthetics. If we reduce our usage of plasma cells for energy efficiency by going for a more radical option here, we could reduce usage of plasma cells and laser batteries." He paused a bit as he removed the finance hologram before moving on to the energy usage section.


"Okay, look here, on usage of plasma, we get a 20% efficiency from one block of plasma, but if we switch to a nuclear-hydrogen generator in our ship, well get 50% from own nugget of plutonium and two hydrogen cells which will provide power for 35.7 years, but the only problem being that it's quite expensive." He finished as he turned off the hologram.


"And aether is gathering more money, which we could use to complete our finances and increase our weapon stockpile and upgrade our ship's plasma turrets and armour platings which will be useful in case of sudden attack by the ravagers. Oh, and the ravagers have captured Planet TALOS-01 and are using that planet for propaganda installations and garrison units, I believe that if we capture it, we could significantly cripple their reinforcements and back-ups, they're also extorting money from the residents and property owners, more than the occasional tax, or we could settle for a more tactical choice by settling a treaty with the leader of the ravagers of the planet, so as to reduce harshness and overall financial impact upon that planet. Or we could just ignore that situation, your choice, ma'am." He finished before looking at both aratorio and Vienna.

Aratorio would flat out ignore what he had to say and would sigh. "You got me worried for all that? I am a doctor... I heal injured people... and I use the tools I am given... so whatever works for you will do...." He would turn away and takes a step. "Ima go train.... as I have been not doing almost anything active in the past week or so...." He would walk off to the training room almost wishing to train with the captain.

"You do have a point there Jack but if you really want to talk about this go to Aether when he comes back so that you two can discuss this even more since he handles all the maintenance on the ship." She told him as she looked at Aratorio leave the room after his response to Jack. "Later on I am buying everyone drinks at a local pub before we take our biggest mission yet, would you mind joining us?" She asked Aratorio before he walked to the door seeing that he looked like he could use some relaxation by coming out with the crew and her to the pub to have a few laughs. Vienna also had to set the ships navigation's system towards the planet Mondas when they had came back. Vienna was sure feeling some tension between Jack and Aratorio but she didn't want to say anything seeing that nobody was going all out in a fist fight. @Arubion Sivart @Elephantom

Jack followed Vienna and aratorio to pub. Right, he felt as if Aratorio was quite angered at him for God-knows-what. He should use his telepathy often, it would only serve to benefit him, aratorio was decisive in his behaviour, but what he doesn't know is that he looks like a child, behaves like a child and even his stature his like a child, either he's going too soft on the crew or he needs to increase his people skills.

Aether walked to jack as he had a plan. "Jack..I need to speak to you about something important..will you tag along with me for this trip underground. I need you to bring something that can help capture the skyscythe queen. This may sound crazy jack but imagine all the possibilities we could have if we had a queen at our dispisal..working together with a being of such high intelligence and possibly having an armada at our backs when we go planet side? I know skyscythes better than anyone on this ship since they were always one of the most common predatory species on my homeworld. Some creatures don't always have to be killed to be dealt with...and somewhere in your mind I know your thinking I am right...I am leaving now. Please...tag along with me..as I hear you have to discuss something with me." He nodded at Lerman. "Mister Lerman. We are moving to reclaim your market caverns now...I advise you stay here. Got it?" Lerman sat for a bit but decided to mention something to jack and aether. "I recommend taking the freight elevators. The elevator can take you as far as the basement floor three. The queen sightings have been reported from basement floors six eight and twelve..with the deepest floor being the cargo storage on floor thriteen. The easiest way to go down from floor three is by taking the service latters in the maintenence shafts between floors. Best of luck to you both." Aether nodded. "Ah, I see you need some help, but I've got to suit up if we're to go on he field." He said as he made his way to the outfield suits area of the ship. Once he reached there, he went for his suit as he started outfitting himself with his suit and grabbed his respective weaponry. As he finished, he came back to where Aether was before talking to him, in a brisk manner, of course, since he doesn't want waste time being idle.


"Let's go to the shuttle area, we don't need to dock the whole ship near the planet, we'll just take a smaller shuttle where we'll land and sort out this problem and get the cash." He said as he made his way to the shuttle docking area.


Once reached there, he made his way to to a generic shuttle which is operable in both out of atmospheric pressure and in atmospheric pressure. As he opened the door, he gestured aether to follow him.

Aether shouldered his lightning gun and grabbed an extra infinity clip. "Here jack..your going to need one of these. This is one of my latest inventions. It's an infinity clip. Energy based. It can utilize multiple different energies and convert them into ammunition of different variations. And the clip is customizable for whatever weapon you may have. It's especially handy in my case since my weapon has five different modes." Aether followed him into the shuttle. "I know exactly what to bring with us as well. Receptis!! Come on girl.!!" Receptis flew into the shuttle and landed on his shoulder after transforming from bird to lizard form and nuzzled his head." So..let's get going. And about those upgrades you wanted to talk about..you have my attention jake." @Elephantom

"That's a innovative invention." He said as he inspected this infinity clip, for a young man, this kid sure was a great inventor.


As they entered the shuttle, with Aether's 'pet', he started to flip all the necessary levers and switches. He flipped on the main power rerouter switch as he entered the coordination of the drop location, he then set the wheel to auto-pilot as he looked at Aether.


"So, this are the improvements I believe are fundamental and important in our future endeavours. Now, as I was looking at the ship's database, I discovered that the ship's shield is based completely on plasma arc generators, which, once penetrated, breaks the entire installation and renders the shield useless, now, with some fundings of course, we can change the shield to a more efficient dense electromagnetic field generator which can recharge and doesn't break down easily. Now, another problem is our inner armour which can be cracked or shattered by smart precision missiles, we can coat the glasses and vital areas with graphene and the outer should be covered with modumetal. Now about the energy efficiency, we could change the plasma generator core, which in ineffective in terms of power generation and finances, we could update the tech with nuclear generators. Now about the ship's offenses, we could install heavy plasma turrets on the idle areas of the ship, which will be formatted to include electric lines, of course. And we can include a more power efficient electrostatic field generators as replacement for anaesthetics. And that's all there is to say, by this way, we can go up against the ravagers as a formidable opponent." He finished as he looked at the planet, which was getting bigger by the minute.


They finally landed on the planet almost about 12 minutes later, once the ship boarded in the planet's shuttle dock, Jack turned off the pressure optimizers and life support system as he opened the door.


"Well, lead the way, kiddo." He said, in his usual gruff voice.

"Ahh...I see..an electromagnetic shield generator would be useful but in areas such as nebula. Specifically planetary and gaseous nebula. Or even asteroid belts. Quasar clouds. And the like even an ordinary electromagnetic shield would prove primitive..but with an amplified nova energy capacitor we would have a shield made of nova energy. If we were to layer this nova shield with a stasis field would stop missile dead in their tracks. And the nova shield if a magnet repellant field is placed between the stasis shield and the nova shield we could send missile whirling back at the ships that fired them. As for the ships offenses yes heavy plasma cannons will work but we need to give them multiple weapons and settings. Plasma and even some energy weapons and shield piercing missils? Thay can do well and even add some rocket and laser turrets and cannons as an added arsenal. And if we succeed in forming a truce with the skyscythe queen..we will be more than formidable...we would be deadly.." He then looked at receptis then back to jack. "I have also been working with receptis here on her blood and muscle tissue samples. As her blood has proved to be beneficial to send a document to the doc. And as for the skyscythes..while we are down there try to look around for skyscythe scales and wings. They are strong enough to cut through crystallized dark matter like scissors to paper with a hard enough force point. Those could prove to be excellent materials...now then...we are here...receptis..you sniff out the skyscythe scent..lead the way once you have it." He looked jack. And spoke. "I see you have been eyeing my briefcase...wondering what's in it no doubt...here..let me show you" aether clicked it open and pulled out a handle of what must have been a javelin or bow. He clicked it and the energy scythe blade extended and appeared only the time it was a crescent at both ends. "Its my energy pendulum. I made a few upgrades." Receptis chitter ed and flew to jack and aether. "She has the scent. Looks like the skyscythe queens gatherers have dug straight down toooo..." He dropped a glow Stick and counted each time the light of the glow stick "pulsed" to indicate it passed a floor. "One...two...three.....four...five....six...seven....eight...nine...ten....eleven..."the glow stick landed. "Floor eleven...we have a beeline." Trace pressed a switch on his suit and four holes opened up. He extended his four wings and their diamond forms glittered in the liggt of the glow stem plants which were used by the market as a source of natural light. He looked at jack. "Don't ask me about this now jack..." He spread his wings and flew Into the tunnel and down to the bottom. Then looked around. He got onto the comms and whispered. "All clear jack. It's safe to come down." @Elephantom
