Fandom The Next Heroes: a DC super hero RP

Titan followed Lisa towards the metas. These beasts seemed to be just uselessly rampaging. They were fairly easy to shoot down, but some still got up after what should have been lethal blows. Soon he rounded a corner and saw some people inside a building with a blasted open side. He was slightly confused at the raccoon boy, but anything should be expected by now. He tried to appear un-hostile while approaching them, but he was wearing a weaponized suit of armor. "Would someone please tell me what is going on here!" he said when they were in ear shot.

Lotor raised his hands, ready to surrender, not wanting to start a fight " Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. The name's Lotor- " Lotor was interrupted by his belt buckle beeping. The belt buckle detached itself before crawling up to, Lotor's left shoulder, revealing a mechanical ladybug with green eyes " And this is SHIC, and we're also on your side "

"Yep, what she said." Luke said looking at the newcomer. "Well, if you can take them down, you know what, why not. Welcome to The Defenders" Luke smiled and looked with worry at the two mechanized Luthors. "Uh, don't mean to alarm anyone, but The Luthor Twins are right over there." He pointed at them.

"...You know what, I'm not even going to bother questioning your decision making capabilities right now, but I swear, once this shit is done, you and Batman and the rest of your team need to sit down and find a better name." she mutters darkly, glaring through her helmet. Yes, we let complete strangers join us without any questions... how do these people survive?

She turns then to the 'Luthor twins'- were they seriously related to Lex Luthor? She didn't see much of a resemblance personally, but the mecha suits fitted. She's heard of the pair and their suspected villainry, but right now was not the time to brawl it out. "Mutant animals on steroids are on a rampage- that's as far as we know currently. What do you want?" she demands, straining to be somewhat formal and polite given the situation.

" Thanks. I guess? " Lotor said confused, not sure if he was being serious or not, about being part of the team. Lotor turned around to see what his new found teammate was pointing at " Wait, Luthor? As in, Lex Luthor!? " Lotor brought out his fangs and claws, getting ready incase things got ugly " Wow,who knew he had a social life? " Lotor smirked

"Hey, this is more volunteer work, than a team right now. Let me change my statement, welcome temporarily to the team." He said, turning his attention to the Luthers.

"First, we are not twins" Titan said. "Second, I'm adopted. I didn't think the press kept that it of a single paper. And Finally, we noticed mass destruction in Gotham. Is it bad to try and help out out?"

" No. I guess not " Lotor said " Are you sure we can trust them? " Lotor whispered to the others, referring to that last part.

"Not in the slightest, but seeing as they're outnumbered, I really don't think they're in the mood to fight." Like looked at the ruined shelf behind him and grabbed a pack of muffins. He tossed it to Impulse and said. "Catch."

"I don't actively keep an eye on celebrity news or gossip. My apologies for the mistake." Aftermath replied dryly, staring down the boy in the suit and his companion before her gaze returns to the other three. Jay still looked like he's ready to die, and Luke isn't that much better from what she can see. The racoon boy, Lotor, seemed to be decent, if not a tad foolish, but she didn't trust him much more than the siblings.

Sighing when Lotor asks out loud if the pair are trustworthy (They can probably hear you...) and hearing the Lantern's response, she barely resists the urge to pull off her helmet and glare at them both, instead silently fuming. Because they are totally outnumbered with two severely injured/ out of commission heroes, one who's not doing that much better, and a stranger. "As for your good intentions, my colleague makes a valid point- in all honesty, none of us really trust each other whatsoever. However, for the sake of self preservation, may I suggest that we try to collaborate to at least deal with the matter at hand, and then battle out whatever bitter rivalries there may be later?" Aftermath asks the Luthor boy.

Alfa's head was fuzzy at best. He was on all fours with his wrists and ankles were shackled to the floor and a muzzle was strapped around his head. He was in some sort of cage being wheeled onto a plane. He tried to struggle, but there was nothing he could do. Once in the cargo bay, he noticed writing along the wall. The DNA from earlier was there, but it was an acronym. It spelled out Direction of Natural Animal Gens. The word "Gens" was smaller than the rest. He recognized the logo from somewhere, but he just couldn't place his finger on it. He needed his head to clear.
"I have no rivalry with you" he stated plainly. "I just try to make things to help people. Is that really so hard to believe? Now, what do you propose we do with the rest of the mutants?"

"I wasn't referring to myself- we haven't been properly introduced yet, I believe. No, I presumed that you folks." she pauses to point between the two groups. "Were not on good terms. But I digress. These things are coming from somewhere- we find that source, round them up, take them out firing squad style, and have someone catching stragglers. We see how we're holding up and where we go from there Any questions and/ or suggestions?"

I just try to make things to help people. Lotor d'welled on those words, for a moment reminding him of his father. Lotor shook the thought and tried to remain focused on the task at hand " What about them? " Lotor said, referring to Luke and Impulse. Because of their current situation.

"I suggest we get started immediately" Titan said. He jumped up with his rocket boots and started hunting down the mutant animals. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" he said to Lisa on their private channel. He saw what looked like it might be a Python, and sent it up in flames.

"And they're gone..." she mumbles as she watches the duo set out to taking down the animals. Now they were finally out of earshot, she turns to face Lotor, lifting her visor to give him a glare. "Did no one teach you anything about tact? Or to not say everything in your head out loud?" she hisses, shaking with pent up frustration. She shuffles over to the two of them sitting there, relatively silent for a while now. She hesitates, and looks around for that teleporting button Luke had used earlier, but to no avail. Damn it all. She'd have to try it. Trying to concentrate she grabs the pair of them and tries gently releasing some of her energy into them, desperately hoping it would help to heal them or at least restart their powers. Of course, she'd never tried this before on anything but herself, but it was all she could think of doing.

Mildly exhausted, she pulls herself back up, looking around the wreckage before seeing a few desks. Shoving the pair into the corner and moving the desks so as to block them from sight, and turns to the boy. "Come on, compadre- we got work to do." With that, she walks out into the street and start's taking down the mutants, keeping her eyes open for the root of the problem which just had to be there.

Impulse caught the muffins and instantly tore the package opens. Like an animal, he devoured the muffins with joy. They helped regain some of his energy, but not nearly as he would've preferred. However, the energy Aftermath transferred into him was enough to keep him running for some time. He'd guess a couple of hours, if he was lucky, so they'd have to try and get rid of this threat as soon as possible.

"I'm going to search for Alfa. Whatever captured him has to be connected to the attack. I mean, it cant be a coincidence both of these things happened at the same time" he informed his teammates. "Anyone want to come along?" Impulse asked.

With a silent nod, the entity banished the vacuum and started to walk away, picking up a small piece of paper while doing so.

Alfa's head began to clear faster. He still didn't know where he knew DNAG from, but that appeared to be the lleast of his wories. His cage was now firmly locked into place and the plane was taking off. Hopefully someone would take notice.

The Emerald Knight noticed the plane taking off, and squeezed his heels into the sides of the mutated creature he was on the back of. He removed his sword from the beast's neck as it began to run. He hadn't killed the creature, simply placed the sword against it's neck, ready to kill it. The mutated creature charged towards where the plane was taking off, as Ser Vincent hoped to intercept the plane, and get aboard.

" I'll come with you. Maybe I could try picking up his scent. " Lotor informed Impulse. SHIC took the form of Lotor's belt buckle once more, reattaching itself into the costume to conserve energy.

"Alright, awesome, but you're gonna have to hop on my back" he told Lotor." I'm not trying to offend you or anything because you're a-uh-yeah. Its just that you won't be able to keep up otherwise" Impulse explained.

" Its okay. I understand " Lotor smirked. He retracted his claws and fangs, so the ride wouldn't be uncomfortable." This won't give me whiplash, will it? " Lotor asked before hopping on to Impulse's back.

"Well, all we need is another speedster and I could win win a game of Uno. Anyway, I need to head back up to the tower to recharge. I'll try and meet up with you guys later." Luke left the torn up building and in a flash of light, he was gone.

"Ahh..." Aftermath paused from taking down the animals (There were only a few left at this point) as she heard Impulse and Lotor speaking. They were going after the plane, with Impulse carrying Lotor with him. She had just glimpsed the brief flash from the building, and presumed that the Lantern had awoken and had teleported to the Tower. She didn't spy either of the Luthor's, which concerned her, but there were bigger issues at hand.

"Does your nifty toolbelt happen to have some sort of tracker, or a beacon perhaps?" she asks Lotor- if they were going after the plane, with Alfa presumably within it, that was good, but she doubted Impulse could carry them both, and she wanted to be able to find them once she got her own transportation.

Lotor noddded, thinking the same thing. " I'll send you the coordinates when we get there. "
