Fandom The Next Heroes: a DC super hero RP

Lotor nodded before he continued to walk " My father was a kind and brilliant man,he dreamed of one day being able to cure any kind of disease. He found a way to extract specific traits of animal DNA that would be useful for curing some diseases and it worked too. But he soon found out that his superiors had other plans for his research, using it to create a team of animal based meta humans. The pack, I think that's what it said on the file and something about numbers but I could never figure that part out, I'm still trying to decipher all of the information " It was then, when the robotic ladybug crawled up to Lotor's shoulder, beeping a few times before looking at Lotor with those concerned green eyes. " I'm okay " Lotor petted the little robot, he didn't like talking about his father, it just brought back many painful memories, and with the photographic memory that he had, it was hard and impossible to forget sometimes.

"Well, good news and bad news. Which one do you want first?" Lisa said, smiling to keep the mood good and in the fact she had just created this amazing machine. She tapped on her ipod.

"Then maybe we can help each other" Alfa said and started moving again. "I was taken from my parents at a young age and lived years of my life in an unknown facility. I was stuck there with 2 other boys and 3 girls. We were all experimented on and were known as gro0up 7. Then one day I woke up with pail all over my body. I was taken away for who knows how long, and I was assigned the name 7A, for being the first one ever to successfully mutate. I later leered I was not only the first one of the group, but the first one ever. A boy and a girl died in their mutation processes. One was going to be a reptile and another a bird. The remaining 4 of us were pushed to all possible extremes until the purifiers came. I saw them kill the bird girl and was separated from the lizard boy. The other girl was a snow leopard and we were pretty close. We almost made it out when her ankle was shot. She knew we wouldn't make it and collapse a hallway, effectively separating us and giving me my only chance at freedom. I took it, but have always wondered what would have happened if I had stayed."

" Looks like we've both been through a lot in our lives. My dad was going to betray the organization with the info he had gathered, then came the day of the explosion " Lotor remembered, him crying out for his father but no answer " He was murdered because he knew to much, he died hating me " Lotor clenched his fist

Walker looked up at Lisa and Max before back down at his hands. The silvery coating over his skin shimmered in the florescent lighting. He had never seen anything like it, except in movies maybe. It was almost mesmerizing. Then he started to realize that his body didn't hurt like it should have after even that little fall. For the first time in years, he could stand without his feet almost breaking beneath him.

"My legs work," Walker said as he managed to push himself to his feet, "I can't think of anything better than that. So what's the bad news?"

"Look at that, Walker is actually walking again" Max said to try and add a bit of humor. "So the bad news. The material covering you has its own consciousness and can take over your body any time it likes. To be honest, I'm not sure why you are in control now."

"I seriously doubt he hated you" Alfa said. "While I never really got a chance to truly meet my parents, but I do know that there is an instinctual love for some ones child. Either way, I'm sorry. So how is he the reason you are like this, if you don't mind me asking."

"Funny," Walker said with a hint of venom, not exactly keen on cracking wise about his condition still. As Max explained the bad-news Walker looked back down to his silver coated body, "This stuff is alive?"

That weird dream might not have been a dream after all. Was he really just under the control of some sentient amorphous material? It would explain how real everything had felt, and the helplessness. Walker furrowed his brow, concern written on his face.

"Hey, I've been waiting to say that since the day I knew I could help" Max said a bit cold. "Anyway, I'm not exactly sure how it came to be. Perhaps when it was merged with your spinal cord it manifested a replica of your consciousness. Either way, it's there to say and there is noting we can do about it without harming you. You know, we should really name it. I'm growing weary of calling it an it."

Not sure if Lotor actually heard anything or was just paranoid, Alfa closed his eyes and listened. At first he heard nothing, but then he heard the faintest shuffling. A sure sign someone was there, and he didn't want to see if it was their enemie or a simple photographer. "Your right" he said casually. I can move better now, so let's hurry the rest of the way to Gotham." Alfa didn't wait for a responce and started running, still on all fours. He still had a slight limp, but nothing too bad. The most it did was slow him down a bit.

Lotor quickly followed Alfa but not by running, he jumped through the trees and by now was close to the wolf " Do you always run without warning? " Lotor exclaimed

"No, not always" Alfa replied. "Only when I feel like I need to get away from something." He raced into Gotham and turned into an ally. He stood upright and shifted back into a human. It still surprised him how well the suit adapted to his physical changes.

Walker was still looking down at his hands as Max explained his lack of knowledge on the suit's intelligence. Remembering the dream he had before, Walker tired to urge the suit to respond to his mental demands. For a second or two there was no response, then a voice in the darkness. It sounded distant, like it was down a tunnel. It was almost incomprehensible, like his own echo calling back to him.

'My name is Novus,' the voice echoed in Walkers head, silent to everyone but him.

"What's that?" Walker said aloud as he looked at Max with an incredulous look.

'My name. I chose it.' it spoke again. This time the voice was much clearer, and more familiar though Walker couldn't place it.

"Do you hear tha-" Walker began to ask Max, rubbing his ear to make sure he was hearing right.

"They cannot hear me."

This must have been what Max was talking about when he said this outfit was alive. For a moment Walker went still. Max had said this thing was controlling his body when he first woke up. Did that mean that it could take control whenever it wanted? Walker suddenly began to realize just how odd the circumstances he found himself in were. What was he supposed to do now?

"Apparently it wants to be called Novus," Walker said, looking at Max with a confused expression and shrugging as he did, "I don't even know what that means."

'It is a Latin word expressing youth and inexperience. I found it... fitting.'

"Novus?" Max asked. "It wants to be called the equivalent of armature? Whatever, not my choice. My advice is to find some common ground with Novus. Become friends, get him to trust you and in turn you can trust him. I'm not even sure if he feels emotions, but he might be able to replicate the feeling from your own. Anyway, I'm best with machines that don't talk back to me. Good luck."

"Good luck?" Walker repeated with disbelief, "you're just going to leave me hooked up to this thing? I just had my body turned into a puppet for some robot!"

'He does not understand what he created.'

Walker stepped forwards at Max with a scowl on his face, "you said you were going to help make me better! Not stuff me into some...thing and cross your fingers hoping it would work. You don't even know what this thing really does do you?"

'Show him what I can do.'

Walker's face was engulfed in silver again. The material spread over his skin like liquid, pouring up from his neck before sealing shut with a single seam up the back of his head. The rectangular visor appeared over his face, the suit splitting open and a bright red light illuminating the area before him. Walker gripped the table he had been lying on and wrenched it upwards. The steel bolts holding it to the floor snapped with a deafening PANG and the table was sent flipping against the wall. The metal table lay twisted and bent, the wall cracked and bricks displaced from the strength behind the blow.

'We deserve answers.'

"You owe me!" Walker pointed a finger at Max accusingly. "I'm not just some test dummy!"

"You signed all of the papers that stated this was experimental technology" Max said, unfazed by his brutal behavior. "I do not we a way of removing you from Novus without killing you. It will require time and his compliance, and we both know he won't comply. And if you truly were just a puppet, would you be in control right now? It is true I don't entirely understand that thing, but not only can you walk, you can lift more than a normal human being! This is not a curse as you believe. Currently you are not simply being alive, but living."

Lotor arrived in time to see Alfa, changing back " Your lucky. Being able to change back like that completely " Lotor told Alfa, impressed by the shift.

"Yah, that's one thing to be grateful for" Alfa remarked. "But you would not believe how many cloths I have gone through. Now come on." He looked around and started running deeper into the city.

Lotor quickly followed " With all the running that we do, we could have won a marathon by now " Lotor joked " Where are we going by the way? "

"Away" Alfa said. "The deeper we get into the city the less lily it is someone will try and ambush us."

Zael's audits watched the sky. She was tired, and as the night sky filled the air, she thought of the mech's origin. She was tired of it, but used it for many purposes. There were two dead bodies aside her with holes in their heads, from the probes, obviously. Zael honestly felt bad for them. She didn't want to take their lives, but the demon commanded it.

(Sorry, I never got any notifs.)

The Entity suddenly tripped and stumbled loudly, stumbling into them with all the grace of a rock rolling down a bumpy hill.
