Fandom The Next Heroes: a DC super hero RP

Lotor drew out his claws and fangs " Come on! " Lotor told Impulse, before chasing after the source of the howl. It didn't take to long before he found himself in front of Alfa and that woman " Let him go! " Lotor growled

The Entity observed from far away. "...such violent...very conflict...wow..." it spoke as it raised its hands and put them on his head.

Hail Leviathan! And Tapatalk!

Alfa looked up to see the raccoon boy. "NO! Just run! She is the last person you want to meat! Jump out the plane if you have too! It will be less painful!" He didn't know what this woman would do if she got her hands on him.

"Oh goodie!" she exclaimed. "I have a new toy now! What fun! Take him out!" Many guards started firing at Lotor with tranquilizer darts.

Max turned off the gas allowing Walker to wake up. "He would die without us anyway. This truly was the best option"

By now Luke had caught up with the plane. He thought to himself "This is gonna hurt." And charged the side of the plane. He broke into the room and took out a huge sword construct which he used to chop at the cage. It wouldn't take long, but he'd be a bit defenseless until he was done. He said to Lotor "Hold them off for now!" He was extremely nervous inside, though he looked cool and composed.

" No problem " Lotor quickly threw one of the capsules that was on his belt. The capsule unleashed a concentrated energy net which destroyed the tranquilizers when it made contact and trap the guards. Lotor walked up to the guards, and destroyed their guns before they had another chance to fire them again " Sorry. But I don't play nice with strangers. Especially when they point their guns at me " Lotor said to the guards, crushing the last of their guns.

The cage and shackles were broken off now, but he hardly moved. He felt numb inside. How could this really be happening? He slowly stood up and looked around at the chaos. The plane was descending and he made up his mind. The scientist, who Alfa knew to be well versed at melee combat was trying to sneak up on Lotor. Alfa ran up to him and shouted "Time to go!" He grabbed the raccoon boy and hurled himself out the opening Luke had made. He turned on his back and braced for impact. He hit the ground and skidded in the dirt before coming to a complete stop where he released Lotor. The landing had caused him to lose a lot of blood. He just needed some time to recover.

Impulse had been elsewhere when the battle began. Instead of participating, he decided to speed to the front of the plane and take the pilot's seat. Yes, he was aware that then people in here were not good, but Impulse couldn't let them die. He also couldn't let the plane fall into the city either, it would be catastrophic. So using what he had learned from video games that he played, he tried to fly the plane. Naturally, flying a real plane was a lot harder in real life. Because of this, Impulse was not able to land the plane but he managed to change its direction towards a large river that ran through Gotham. The plane dipped down from the sky and crashed into the water and the world became black for Impulse.

Luke noticed what Impulse was trying to do an it snapped him back to reality. He knew Impulse likely couldn't do it alone. He created a clamp construct and used it o help keep the plane in the air, if only for a little while longer so Impulse could land he plane.

Walker's body was mostly shattered by the end of the procedure. It was amazing he had managed to survive it at all. As the machine attached to his spine, it already began to do its job. The first few moments were relatively unremarkable. Millions of microscopic machines flooded his bloodstream and began to immediately repair damage done to his body. Within a minute his wounds were already beginning to heal and his vitals stabilized. It seemed as though everything was going to plan, however aside from firmly affixing itself to Walker's back there seemed to be no change in the suit.

When the gas was turned off, Walker shifted, and the suit sent millions of nano-machines across his skin. It spread over him like an oily paint, engulfing everything in it's wake as it coated his body. In a matter of seconds the suit had covered his entire body with a shimmering silver coating. The only feature was a thin-dark viewport for his eyes. Walker remained unconscious as the suit began to assimilate his entire body, the nano-machines multiplying through symbiosis with the cells in his body. His bone-cells were repaired and his condition began to completely reverse.

Slowly Walker's brain was jump-started again, the suit basically shutting him down to prevent his brain from experiencing the pain. Fading in an out of consciousness, there was an overwhelming sensation of something crawling over his entire body. He tried to move, to see what was happening to him, but his body refused to respond. Walker was paralyzed. He tried to call out to Max but no sound came out.

Walker suddenly found himself standing in a vast emptiness, nothing but a white void that seemed to go on forever. After calling out for Max or anyone that might hear him he suddenly realized something. He was standing, his body no longer frail and sickly. He smiled, stomping his feet as he reveled in the experience of feeling his feet slam against the ground without the bones shattering. Walker was jumping up and down a moment later, laughing and cheering as he did.

"Why are you doing that?" a voice called to him, sounding much like his own but also alien to him.

"Whose there?!" Walker suddenly whirled his head around, looking for whoever spoke to him. After turning around once or twice he was disheartened to see nobody. Then, when he turned his head to the side suddenly one last time, he spotted a tall gray humanoid figure. It looked like a mannequin made of silver, the face completely flattened out with only two glowing red orbs for eyes. "Wha- Who are you?"

"I don't know yet," the figure replied, "I was going to ask them." It gestured to the side and as Walker turned, suddenly he was looking out his own eyes again.

Pulled from the depths of his mind, Walker realized his body had now stood up from the table Max laid him on. His head turned and faced the Luthor siblings, the thin rectangular viewport glowing red as the light seemed to focus to a single point that was staring directly towards Max. Then Walker took a step forwards, though he could only watch from behind his own eyes as whatever controlled him urged his body forwards.

"What am I?" Walker's body spoke, but even the Luthor twins would likely realize this wasn't Walker. His voice was collected, direct, it didn't ask a question but rather demanded an answer.

Somehow, Lotor made it through okay, only getting a few marks and bruises. Lotor groaned before slowly opening his eyes, his eyes widened when he saw the bleeding wolf. Just a few feet away from where he had landed, Lotor rushed over to Alfa, to try and see if he was okay. " Are you crazy!? Jumping out of a plane, in your weakened state? " Lotor sighed as he untied his gloves to try and stop the bleeding by patching up his wounds. " We were supposed to be rescuing you. Not the other way around " Lotor finished tying up the bandages before looking at the wolf boy, hoping he would wake up.

Alfa slowly opened his eyes and groaned. He tentatively sat up and looked at Lotor. "She was the last person you want to meet. The less time you spend around her the better, trust me." He looked around and spotted Gotham a few miles away. "Come on. Lets just disappear for a while." He stood up and fell over almost instantly. he groaned and decided walking on all fours would be better for the time being.

Max looked at Walker with pride. Then he spoke and something was wrong. "You're too confident. If I had to guess, I'd say you are a piece of living technology. Me and my sister here made you to heal the person inside you. Now if you would please be so kind as to give him his body back, we need to run some tests including how he feels and while you have access to his spine, you can not answer that for him. Am I right?"

Walker was silent for a moment, as if the suit was pondering whether or not it wanted to relinquish control. Inside his own head Walker had no choice but to watch as the foreign consciousness continued to seek its desired answers. He tried everything he could to contact it, but the invader refused to acknowledge him. After several seconds of staring at Max, the suit responded.

"I can monitor this body on a molecular level. Any tests you would perform are vastly inferior to the information I can provide. His health is optimal. I have repaired his DNA to reverse the effects of his congenital disease," the suit paused as if listening to someone or something else, "I can answer for him if necessary though Walker is more concerned with my existence than his health at the moment. I also grew curious with my sudden self-awareness and decided to investigate. However, nothing I could find on the LexCorp database could give me any information." The suit's voice became more skeptical, "I am assuming that I am an experimental technology then?"

" Okay" Lotor sighed before following the wolf " Are you sure, you don't want to rest for a bit? Wait until you heal some more? " Lotor suggested

"We made a pretty distinctive mark for where we landed" Alfa replied. "The further we get from any marks we leave the better. I'll heal soon enough. I was on fire earlier today, but would you have guessed that?" He was trying to act tough and confident, but he was limping, his sentences were disjointed, and it was clear he was scared out of his mind.

-----

"Very" Max said crossing his arms. "The first of its, err, your kind. So what have you done with Walkers consciousness? Does it even still exist?" This was very disconcerting to Max. How did it develop its own consciousness? it wasn't built with anything that should be able to support such a thing. Perhaps this is a manifestation of Walkers subconscious. Max needed to do some research in psychology.

The Entity followed the man and wolf with stealth and silence. Curiousity filled its being and decided to keep watching their interactions.

Hail Leviathan! And Tapatalk!

" No. I guess not " Lotor chuckled. Lotor could see through Alfa's act but he didn't want to touch that subject just yet. Instead he said " Thanks " While taking out some twigs off of his tail, he couldn't help but sigh.

"I bet you're pretty confused by all of this" Alfa said. His limp was slowly becoming less noticeable and he had stopped bleeding. "By the way, what's your name? I don't even know that yet. And were you with the rest of my team, or going solo?"

Walker's body shifted as Max crossed his arms. The suit's consciousness could see that Max was uncomfortable with its existence, learning from Walker's experience and cross-referencing his experiences with it's own inherent knowledge of human social patterns. Seeing how both Walker and Max reacted to its existence, the suit began to wonder if it was truly safe. Would Max try and deactivate it to save Walker from being trapped in his own mind? Would they trust it not to become a liability? As it began to understand it's own existence, the suit began to understand how people would see it.

"Walker is alive," the suit replied, "He exists inside his own mind for the time being although I can relinquish control at any time." Walker's body suddenly clenched it's fists and grew rigid, "However, I am unsure if trusting you is a wise decision. From what I could gather from Walker's memories and the world wide web, humans are traditionally unreceptive of artificial intelligence in media depictions. For the time being, I will be using Walker as leverage until I am confident that I can trust humans."

The suit pointed at where Walker's temple would be, "if you try and remove me through force I will fry Walker's frontal cortex and kill him. This is not a threat, but a warning. His survival is still dependent on my presence. Trying to separate us would inevitably result in his death."

" The name's Lotor, and its not everyday ,I get to meet another, well you know... " Lotor scratched the back of his head, he wasn't very good at talking about himself. Lotor sighed before continuing " Yes and no. I had my own reason for coming to Gotham. But as for coming to rescue you, that was a team effort, I guess. I'll probably leave after this is over. "

"I'm sure you were created more natural than me" Alfa commented. "Before you leave, let me give you some contact information. If you ever meet her again, just call." They continued in science for a while, but he just had to ask. "Were you, err, created by an organization known as DNAG?"

-----

"Unfortunately, you can never trust humans" Max said. "It is in our vary nature to get what we want through dishonest means. There are some people I'm sure you will come to trust, but most people spend their lives trusting only a few others. And as far as removing you, that isn't going to possible anyway. I have a few theories that could effectively take you out at least for a short time, but none of them end with Walker living. And even if he did manage to survive that, I would need the time to remove you, which I wouldn't have, and even at that some would be left over. Microdots are cycling through his body, and it would be irrational to assume those are a separate part for the part I see now. The only thing I ask of you, is to make sure Walkers life is worth living."

"Yeah. If you call, almost getting blown to bits, normal? " Lotor smirked, his expression saddened when remembering that day, the day his life changed, the day where he felt the most helpless and alone, the day he lost his father, his family. Lotor's claws and fangs were drawn out unexpectedly, when the thought of losing his father again crossed his mind. Lotor winced before finally retracting them " S-sorry, I- I thought, I had better control than this. " Lotor said, trying to give the best fake smile that he could. He looked at the wolf for a brief moment before fixing his throat and continuing " Yeah. My... Dad used to work in of their labs before he uh... anyways, he's the reason why I'm like this. " Lotor said, using his tail as a reference " Maybe even why you are like this. "

Alfa let out a low growl. He was under the impression that Lotors dad he'd put him through the same experiences as himself. "So what was your number? 8, 9, maybe even 10? How'd you escape? What does the explosion have to do with you being like this?" Alfa's mind was spinning with possibilities. In fact, how had he not recognized HER, that wretched Doctor.

" Number? Wait what? " Lotor drew out his claws and fangs, he was surprised by Alfa's reaction. " Alfa calm down, I can't talk to you if you don't calm down! " Lotor growled, concerned for the wolf boy.

Alfa stopped and looked at Lotor. "Perhaps you should explain in more detail how you came to be this way" he said trying to keep his voice even. "Then we can figure out what to do."

"I will keep Walker safe," the suit replied before going silent a moment.

The mask retracted from over Walker's face, peeling back so that the silvery substance ended at his neck. Walker inhaled deeply, like he had been held underwater the entire time and collapsed. He fell forwards onto his hands and knees as his mind reeled at the sudden flood of sensations. It was as though a million switches had been flipped inside his brain and he struggled to power them all at once.

"W-what... What h-happened..." Walker gasped as he slowly tried to stand. He collapsed to the side and braced himself on the surgical table he had been lying on before, his legs wobbly from the unfamiliar sensation of standing for the first time in years.
