Fantasy The Light of Aiaran

Emikou Ellion

She perked a brow as the blindfolded girl responded with an exceptionally peculiar response. It wasn't often someone gave a dictionary definition to a simple question. Still, the girl's voice further added to the mystery. It was hollow and reminded her of someone steeped in depression or sadness. She wondered if perhaps the girl wasn't lost, but actually lost something herself. The last time she heard a voice like that accompanied a loss of life. These questions were quickly brushed aside as her eyes narrowed at the next response she was given. Empathy wasn't her strong suit and when the person she was trying to help toyed with her with redundant, childish questions it really stirred up her urge to hurt them. Fortunately, or unfortunately, she was not given a chance to voice her thoughts as another voice called out, this one far deeper and more ominous than any other in this gathering. She stood straight and turned to look at the man standing nearby, the blindfolded girl getting to her feet and making her way over to the man. "Oh my." She brought her free hand to rest against her cheek as she threw a frown in the man's direction. "No need for such threats, Mister. We were not going to harm your friend here." She focused her attention on the blindfolded girl who now clung to the man's jacket "Indeed you were not lost as It would seem you were found."

She was thankful that the issue was resolved. The overprotective boyfriend had an air about him that she certainly did not want to get involved with. The odd couple seemed like trouble, and not the amusing sort. The sooner she could remove herself from the situation the better. "I am pleased that everything worked out in the end." She offered the pair, or more the man, a soft smile before a sound drew her attention behind her. The smile vanished as quickly as it had appeared as she looked upon the swelling mass of rose-tinted Squab. The more longer she lingered there the more she realized how none of the people present were the types she should get involved with if she wanted to maintain her current lifestyle. "You might wish to do something lest the authorities come and deal with the situation." She gave a small nod to the mouse as she spoke before turning her attention back to the imposing Squab blocking the street.

Pfft. Fragile? Him? His immune system was twice as strong now and his body, for some odd reason, was a bit more tough than his form lets on. He tilted his head at her sudden expression change, his eyes catching only a few seconds of it before she shifted back, causing him to smile wider. Oh, this was golden. With a smirk, he watched Squab waddle up to the girl and hug her leg, shrugging when Squab stuck his tongue out. Poor guy was only adding onto William's little prank. Good thing Emikou could take a joke...hopefully. Before he could continue, however, his ears picked up a louder splash than usual, as well as whimpering and some faint crying. Tilting his head, he turned the exact same time Emikou did, and saw a women getting wet in the rain, causing him to raise an eyebrow. Was...Was she wearing a blind-OH GOD DANGIT! William pouted at the feeling of raindrops hitting his head and lightly gave Emikou a look of betrayal, watching her talk to the blindfold girl, and then turned to his Cinnamon roll, gasping as rain began to pour.

"Aw, Man." William sighed, watching the bread get soft and soggy before it began to break away and run with the water. And the beautiful Vanilla icing...washed away as well. Kicking the ground with a sigh, he turned back to Emi and the blindfold girl, eyes widening when some new guy showed up and was threatening Emikou. He frowned a little. Geez, Prick Alert much? William nodded along with Emi as she addressed the system calmly, yet personally, he would've sprinkled in a few 'Asshole's here and there. "Yeah. She sure is in gooooood hands." William commented sarcastically as he stared at the couple before turning to Emi. "...Wait, Wha-SQUAB?!"

Lo and Behold, there was Squab...a bigger Squab...a redder Squab. Hearing Emikou, William grabbed at his hair and walked forward a bit. This was not good. If Squab didn't look threatening before, he was definitely close now! And it wasn't Like William could roll him outta the way. "Squab, really?! C'mon!" He sighed, hands on his hips. "Uhm...I don't think there's anything I can do, actually." William admitted, fingers on his chin while tapping his foot against the ground. He snapped his fingers. He had an idea. Stepping back a few paces, he sighed and let out a war-cry before charging, jumping and delivering a kick straight in Squab's gut.

Qsundra - The Seer

The white haired girl kept her fingers firmly clenched into her Protector's sleeve and a fraction behind his arm. Of course she couldn't see, but her hearing was second to none even among the sounds of the rain and the splashes of mud against the ground. Surprisingly one word rang out a little and she had to blink not recognizing it at all. "...Squab?" She hadn't heard that term before at all, was it some sort of slang word among the townsfolk here? Just what did it mean exactly? Probably lucky for her she didn't see the now swelling thing, or how he was blocking the pathway.

From a distant it probably looked like they were a couple but their relationship was slightly more confusing then that. She literally relied on him to keep her safe, ever since she was little. Though she heard the goings on, she could see (figuratively speaking) the tone of the voice's more then anything. None of them seemed too impressed. But it was when one voice said she was good hands with a tone that was laced with sarcasm did she tense up a portion. They didn't understand.. how could she expect them to at all? None of them grew up in the village the wanderers had. Her head turned slowly then and tilted upwards looking for the all the world like she were staring right at Squab even though that wouldn't be possible right? She couldn't see surely?

After a moment the girl's fingers fell from Seiji's arm and she stepped around him and came forward. She didn't even look fazed and stepped behind Emikou and William like she could see just fine. It was pretty weird to watch really. She came within inches of the girl before she reached out a hand then with her fingers splayed, pressing them in softly against the middle of her back. And almost the second she touched her, she took a huge breath inwards as her whole breath tensed up.

Oh she saw, she saw everything... she saw her powers, she saw the things she had done and would do... the things she was hiding.

Qsundra reefed her hand backwards and took a half stumble backwards and away from them all.

"S...Seiji! W...We need to go!" She said in a voice laced with panic.
