Fantasy The Land of Lynthia

Well, I technically started at 15. However, I stopped back then because I kept killing RPs and lost the time for it. I started again now, when I'm 16.... Huh. Strange, isn't it, that I couldn't properly RP until I reached 16, considering what you just said.

@Zerohex is your character going to react to Catherine's entrance?

got confused and thought you'd had your entrance before you did, since you and yonsisac seemed to be operating on different times and katsa included your character in an earlier post. It's on page 4. "He only bounced back to his prior attitude when some kind of slime-covered elf and a girl with cat ears walked into the room, taking stock of them, laughing dismissively and muttering that "the quality of heroes sure has gone down the drain around here" loud enough for anyone to listen if they cared to".

Yes, that did happen. However, irl stuff happened and Yonsisac left, so it was retconned in my post to have Natasha leave and have just Cathy enter. This is now the canon in the RP. It's a pain, I know, but stuff happens.

that's fine and all but the GM post right above mine goes "It wasn't long after this, however, when the pixie was replaced by two newcomers: an elf with the color of green hair and tinge to her skin, and a girl with... cat ears?", so we can just work from there, yes? Then the green elf left, proving Ajax's statement right. I mean if you want my character to disregard your character off-hand and call her a shit because she doesn't look like a giant muscular man in two posts instead of one, well, it's doable, but it seems unnecessary.

The point is, my post is now the canon entry into the scene. Heck, you can even just copy and paste your previous acknowledgement into your more recent post, if you want.

I decided to go with Jipan's more recent post since it'll explain Natasha's absense, and seemed the easiest as well as more convenient. No one would know who she was or that she was suppose to be here (except the king since he sent the invitations, but a guard will later tell him what happened), and it'll be less ackward, as well as humiliating, to have her leave outside the door than Natasha deciding to just up and leave while in the room haha. I also had the King acknowledge Cathy as she entered, and thought it might give others the opportunity to post something if they weren't sure what to have.

But it doesn't matter to me personally, so long as Natasha herself isn't acknowledged from this point on, preferably. I took Ajax's dismissive behavior of acknowledging Cathy as in-character, as he may not think it was worth his time to notice her, but whatever you decide to do should be just fine.

And zero, you can emasculate the gothic Lolita neko all you want. I'm not sure how that could be any less masculine, but you can sure give it a try!

Or we could move on before we bleed even more people who I'd like to point out haven't been terribly active

My limit of waiting is 4 days. After that, the most recent notification from the RP has probably left the first page or two of notifications, and everyone has had plenty of time to reply. This also stops it from growing stagnant, without rushing it along.

Same here, except I usually wait for three instead of four. After all, everyone has things to do outside of an RP lol.

With that said, however, it does become an issue when it's made a habit of and no one lets the others know if they're going to be busy or don't wish to reply yet. Otherwise we'd be waiting for no reason and it turned out to be safe for us to respond the entire time without worrying about leaving others behind. But otherwise, I can be a very patient person.

I'm working on a post. Since I'm at work, I can only do it during slow periods, so the post is coming along slowly, but should be done by today.

I'm going to post now, if you don't mind. Where are people sat? I'm asking because I'm going to basically have my character look around the room at everyone and knowing what order people are sat in would be useful for that. Of course, there might not be an order... Either way, I don't want to mess something up.

@Thinslayer

It's all good! Thank you for letting us know, though ^.^

@TheJipan

There hasn't really been an order established, but I'll say what I believe the order is:

King Jair is at the head of the table, which since it's a round table that just means his chair is taller and stands out more from the others and there's more space between him and the others. His seat also faces where the door is.

Raven is seated by one side of the table, probably northeast-ish from where the king is seated, which means she would be to Cathy's right from where she entered the room.

Ajax is seated near Raven. Whether he's to her right and slightly closer to the king or to her left with the door almost at his back, I'm not sure. In my head I was imagining he was to her left but that's up to @Zerohex to decide.

I'm not sure where everyone else is sat. @Boomrocker hasn't posted yet and their character was standing last time, but that was before the King showed up. I don't know if he's still standing, or took a seat somewhere.

I jumped the gun. Don't mind me, I'll just put this here for reference when I right the real thing...

(Because I don't want this writing to go to waste.)

Now that the attention was no longer on her as much, she took the opportunity to look around the room at the others in this meeting. To her right sat a rather dirty-looking anthropomorphic... wolf? Whatever it was, it seemed to be a bit uncomfortable with it's seat, and it had a rather distinct... aroma. Cathy wondered if she was going to regret sitting next to them. Maybe they were nice on the inside? she pondered, but getting through to the inside is such a pain... Moving on, she saw a rather deviant-looking man in shackles and chains. A criminal perhaps? Not that it was any of her business. They probably fit in with the rest of them better than herself, who stood out like a sore thumb. Sat next to them was another man, tall and elegant. Another elf, perhaps? Because they're such a joy to be around... He also seemed to be blind. How a blind man got in here was beyond her, but it can't be stranger than her own presence. Next in the line was an ironically short man, probably a dwarf. So dwarves look just like the stereotype. How quaint. she thought, having only heard of dwarves, despite their apparent abundance. Next to them was a rather unruly looking boy, who seemed to be younger than even her, and perhaps even shorter. How that was possible, Cathy had no idea. Continuing in the male-dominated line-up, there was the one who greeted her, who could only be the king. He certainly had the appropriate air about him, and he was dressed to match. Despite not being the largest one at the meeting, he was certainly the most intimidating, but, despite this, not particularly threatening. I wonder what it'll take to get on his good side. Cathy thought, reminded of the possibility of riches. Passing over to the other side of the table, there was another elf, and the first female she had found, going around this table. Just like the first elf she had met, this one had that elegant, compassionate look to her, and Cathy expected her to be just as boring. Next to her was another elf, looking both eerily similar and polar opposite to the first elf. He looked like the sort of person who just got angry quickly, and didn't have much more too them. Well, at least he'll be easier to manipulate. Cathy speculated, and carried on her observation. Next in line was one of the more out of place ones, seeming to be a living suit of armour, their suit was so massive. Still probably fit in better than herself, though. Nevertheless, this one was a mystery, and that made them interesting to Cathy, if only to find out how to take advantage of them. Next to them was a rather gangly figure, with a face that would be hard to forget. However, this made them less interesting to Cathy, as the ones who stand out leave the most collateral and are the easiest to notice. No, he wouldn't be of any use to her at all.

It'll probably be done in about an hour.

Sounds good! There are just some details that should be taken to consideration... xD

Ajax isn't in chains and shackles anymore, he broke them and a guard carried them away.

The elf siblings that can manipulate fire and water aren't here, The Velveteen Rabbit informed us they couldn't RP due to a hectic schedule.

The tall blind elf I'm assuming is BoysPlantGraves other character. If so, he wasn't even suppose to be in the meeting lol. But BPG dropped out of the Rp anyway, so his other two characters aren't here anymore, which includes Jeremy. Which I think was the gangly character you were referring to..?

That should be all, though ^.^

Great post otherwise!

Can't say I particularly care where you seat Ajax, it's all good, though as Katsa said he hasn't been in chains for several posts. In fact, he's lounging around with his feet up in the table like he owns the place. As an aside, nowhere is it stated that @Thinslayer 's wolf is in any way anthropomorphic, same same goes for any other patrol animal. They can just talk, which is why I was asking just how exactly Fang even operates his weapons or does things that require thumbs.

Anthropomorphic in the sense that they are sat at a table, and had human attributes such as sentience and the ability to talk, but I see your point.

Right, Fang is not anthropomorphic. He operates his weapons by digging his paw into the bow mechanism and pulling back.

Anthropomorphic is not the same as humanoid, it simply means that they have human characteristics. Nevertheless, I understand your confusion, as I didn't specify the characteristics I was referring to. I won't be using that in my actual post, anyway.

Done!

Going by the repeating crossbow you used as an example on page 13, operated much like a pump shotgun, I'm not seeing how he holds one paw out with the crossbow deployed, then reaches over with the other front paw to cock the mechanism. It'd require him to hold the rest of his body up with his snout before every shot, which'd be funny but hardly practical. I'm also pretty damn sure a dog can't actually reach the degree of motion necessary to reach over, firmly grasp and then pull back on the mechanism, so can't really see what you mean by "digging his paw into the bow mechanism and pulling back". And I'm still in the dark on how exactly he, you know, pulls the trigger or even loads the bolts, though I'm guessing those are magically compressed into the magically folding crossbows.
