Fantasy The Kingdom of Rosendale

Ligart came out of the castle and heard the speech of Nina . After this he said " We don't need to fight !We can rule the castle together ,Crusaders and kingdom .We will be better and better ,we will be able to overrun other kingdoms .Isn't it better than civil war ?What do you think about this queen Naomi ? "

"I would love to have an agreement on the matter, but frankly it doesn't seem possible. Neither of us agree. Nina, most importantly I do have people standing behind me. I have people that think the same way I do." Naomi spoke, her voice strong and full of determination.

"I want a Rosendale to prosper and thrive in it's environment. It's not doing that currently, as we are a weak kingdom among our own land." She looked towards the crowd for support on the matter.

"Not all kingdoms are willing to make alliances. After all, we would only drag them down, with little military defense of our own. Stand down, Nina. Join the Crusaders and stay strong."

'What should I do? I can't betray my husband like this, but Naomi wants to have a better military. ... I need to stand by my husband's side sadly.' thought Nina. "I would have liked to join the Crusaders, Naomi, but sadly, I have to stand by my husband's side, since I can't betray him like this. Also do me one flavor, Naomi. Don't try to harm my family, since they don't deserve this, and if they ended up making a rebellion against you. Well...I can't do anything about that, since it will eventually happen. I wish you good luck in the civil war, Naomi, and make sure you don't spend too much money in the treasury for your military support, since the people of this kingdom would be even more mad at you if you do that, since you would need to rise the taxes, and nobody likes that. Also try to listen to the people, since they have a voice too, you know, and make sure that your knights aren't trying to harm the people. I will visit you every now and then, Naomi, since I want to make sure that you are going a good job, because you don't know how to manage a kingdom properly yet. I know that Kara and my husband will be mad at me for doing this, but I don't have a choice, since I am still wearing my husband's crown, and you stolen my crown, even though you kind of don't have any control of this kingdom, since you are wearing my crown not my husband's crown." said Nina calmly.

Ligart said to Nina " Nina we don't want to hurt your family we just want to make our kingdom more safety and if noone will mutiny this can work .Civil war is bad idea but if it will be necessery our plan can not work .So if you can just calm down crowd and tell them that it's for them and for our kingdom of Rosendale .Hope you will help us at some point maybe ."

Naomi bowed her head in respect towards Nina. "Thank you, m'lady. I'm sorry to have taken your crown, it was just for a political standpoint." She handed the queen her crown. "I understand your wish to stand by your husband during this time. Just be careful, as I will more than likely create a civil war." She looked back towards her knights, a good number of them surprised and curious.

"I will take my leave now. Again, I wish you no harm, but in the end the kingdom is what matters most. Everyone, however, has their own standpoint on how to run a kingdom." She looked back towards her knights, the crowd, and the kingdom's Knights. "The Crusaders will now leave the castle, however not for good! Prepare for war!" Naomi mounted on her horse, and it trotted away from the crowd.

"So we don't even need to alliance we will just take out this castle from your hands . The war will begin soon Nina !" After speech Ligart Stormnight mounted on his black horse called Storm and follow his Queen ...

Kara watched everything played out and her rage boiled up even more. She knew that their kingdom wouldn't fare well in a war, and she didn't want to risk that many lives. Sighing, she turned to her mother, "You can't do this! We can't afford to have a war! If you stay by the side of the king, then we're all in danger. Get your white flag ready." With that, Kara pulled her hood down and sighed, storming off into the distance.

Ligart was watching the town while riding a horse ,he was kinda sad cause during the war his friends will probably die .Then he said "Queen when should we attack Rosendale ?And what's our plan ?They have many knights in the castle and residents will probably fight too ."

"Kara, you know that I can't abandon your father like this." said Nina, as she saw Kara storming off into the distance. 'Way to go, Nina. You just made your own daughter hate you.' thought Nina, since she had no choice in this situation, because her husband isn't here to help her out. She heard Ligart saying that there was going to be a war here. 'War! Why war? They don't have to do a war here, since that would mean that my family would be in danger then.' thought Nina. She told everybody that was in the castle to get out, since she doesn't want them to be kill by Naomi when she arrives. "I - I'm sorry, sweetie. I wasn't able to protect the peace of this kingdom by myself. I had no choice, since if I didn't know what to do. I just ended up letting everybody down, and now, Naomi is going to destroy the castle, and try to kill us." said Nina.

She announced everyone in the people that Naomi is going to take over the kingdom. "WHAT! Why? We thought that you two wanted to keep the peace of this kingdom." said The people, since they were confuse of what is going on here. "Yes. We do wanted to have peace in this kingdom, but Naomi is doing this for us and this kingdom." said Nina. "I thought that the queen and king doesn't want us to be involve in war." said A woman. "You are correct, but sadly, this whole having a peaceful kingdom will not last forever. So my last order as the queen of this kingdom is for everyone to head into the forest, since we don't want Naomi's army to end up killing our people, since we don't stand a chance against them." said Nina. "What about you, your majesty?" said A man.

Nina was thinking about it, since she did listen to what Kara had said before she had left. "Sweetie, as much as I would like to say this to you. I would have to agree with Kara, since I just wanted our family to be safe." said Nina. The king was surprise that Nina would say this to him, but he did understand her, since she wanted to protect her family at all cost. Nina started to write Naomi, a letter and send it to her by using a dove. "I hope, Naomi will understand this, since she does know how much I want to protect my family from danger." said Nina.

The dove arrived to where Naomi was, and it gave her the letter.

Dear Naomi,

About what you said about me joining the Crusaders. Well, I have changed my mind, since Kara ended up leaving as soon as I said that I was joining my husband's side. I just wanted to protect my family at all cost, and I am extremely sad that I have to betray my husband like this, but this is for the best, since I just can't abandon my daughter like this either. I can't change my husband's mind about him wanting to have peace in this kingdom but I can. If you do take over of this kingdom, just don't kill my husband, since I don't want both Kara and me to start crying when both of us ended up seeing him dead, since he means a lot to us.

Sincerely,

Queen Nina of Rosendale. P.s. For the sake of this kingdom, you shall not start a war with us, since you will automatically win.

The Princess was torn. She was contemplating decisions as she sat below an old oak tree. She could either let her mom continue to take her dad's side and face war (which is what she would have done if it didn't involve war), or let her kingdom become a kingdom of war as the crusaders and not end with death galore. It was tough, just a few minutes ago she was completely loyal to her kingdom, but the people were her only concern. She didn't want them to die. Kara pulled out her tiara and stared down at it. The jewels and diamonds sparkled in the sunlight, which caused her to sigh even more. If she was given everything her life, she would give anything to keep her people alive. Kara just hoped her parents felt the same way.

Elissa frowned. 'Wonderful. Why am I still apart of this Kingdom? I mean, I'm an infamous alchemist that many Kings would kill for...' She thought to herself. 'And now, chances are, my shop will go up in flames!' Shrugging, Elissa walked back to her shop.

(I'm so sorry guys, my alerts don't seem to work for this thread! I'll try unwatching and rewatching in hopes of it resetting.)

Naomi looked over towards Ligart for a moment before focusing on the path ahead of her. "I will tell everyone the plan once we get back to the Inn." She owned an Inn, purchased shortly after she left the guard position at the castle. "Please be patient with me."

Naomi's horse continued it's way toward the Inn, where the rest of the Crusaders followed, whether on horseback themselves or by foot. She led her horse into it's stall before going into the Inn. She took a glass and tapped a spoon against it in hopes of everyone looking her way.

"I know that war was not originally the plan, though negotiation was. Without the King's approval towards a stronger military, our plans have changed. He is stubborn, but so am I." Naomi spoke, her head tilted upwards to help everyone hear her better.

"You will all need to-" Naomi was interrupted by a white dove, perching itself on her shoulder. "What's this...?" She muttered, opening the letter as the dove flew away. She read the letter, her eyes widened as it went on. She was surprised, relieved and slightly confused.

"Upon learning information from this letter-" Naomi held it up, so everyone could see "-war is not needed. Nina says the kingdom will be given to me upon the start of a war, but also wishes I do not kill the king." She looked up towards her knights, towards Ligart, towards the relieved and confused faces in front of her.

"I still want all of you to train, in case of the letter is a hoax. I am quite confident Nina would not lie in a time like this, but I want all of you to be prepared." Naomi waved them off before she read the letter again, trying to convince herself her eyes were not deceiving her. This was something Nina would most certainly do. Naomi smiled softly, thinking about her next plan.

Elissa stood behind the counter of her store. As usual, it was empty of customers and filled with many different things. From the outside, the store looked quite small and cramped, but it was actually bigger than the two stores next to it combined. It was a complicated setup that took Elissa many months of planning to get it correct, even longer for the builders to get it right. The building itself was narrow in the front, but it eventually expanded further out at the back and down. She had designed the stores next to her to hide the size of her store, and she left it to whomever wanted to buy it. The further people went into her store, the more exotic the goods became. She was and still is, a very lucrative merchant. Now, if only she actually got costumers.

"My Queen i think we need to recruit more crusaders !We have many knights so we will need some doctors and maybe alchemist to sabotage other kingdoms if it will be necessery ." Ligart was thinking about the war ... "do we need to fight ?do we need other crusaders ?" All the things that Ligart was thinking of was so complicated .It was hard to say what is the good choice , Alliance or War ?Is the letter is a hoax or not ? Ligart was like a child trying to understand the world .

"Ligart, I know Nina fairly well. I did work with the royal family years ago. Regarding doctors or alchemists, we do not need them. I created the Crusaders purely for the kingdom's benefit." Naomi continued, letter still in hand. "If a kingdom does threaten us, we will worry about it that point in time. All that matters is that Rosendale now has military defense."

She looked down at the letter once again. It seemed to be real, as the handwriting was very much like the queen's. The perfectly crafted letters, which could only be achieved through practice, held words and formalities Nina used. It even has the kingdom's seal on it, and it was very unlikely someone else had gotten into the kingdom. After all, they still had guards that were probably on high alert.

"I have a few plans as to how I will manage the kingdom. I want to keep the current royal family safe. Perhaps they will become a Nobel family, which is still a fairly high honor." Even though Naomi did not agree with some of the King's opinions, she still very much respected him. She respected Nina as well, along with Kara. She knew she wasn't on wonderful terms with them, but that did not matter. Her respect for the royal family she once served would never falter.

"I want to help them but how? they think we will attack them ... Ya i got it ,we will send a dove with a letter maybe ?Or we will rule our own kingdom but we will be in alliance with Rosendale.

Many posiibilities .What do you think Queen Naomi ? I always choose the wrong decision. I will go and think about this in Inn if You want you can come with me and we will talk about this together ."

As always Ligart thought about the meaning of life .

Nina was waiting patiently for her pet white dove: Oliver to return. 'Did I do the right thing, because I agreed to join the Crusaders, since it should be a good thing for both the kingdom and Kara's safety, but I am betraying his husband's love, so we won't have a war with the Crusaders. I am definitely being thrown around like a toy here, but I must be strong for the sake of my kingdom.' thought Nina. She then started to worry if Kara was alright, since she did stormed off, when she made that stupid decision towards her wanting to stay by her husband's side. "Sir Max, would you go find Kara please? Since I am worry that she might be in danger, because she had stormed off without any guards to protect her." said Nina, as the guard did what he was told, and went to look for Kara. 'Kara. I hope you would forgive me for my stupidity. I just wanted to protect both our family and this kingdom, but I have to make a sacrifice. I don't want to start a war with Naomi, but I also wanted to be loyal to my husband. No.The kingdom must be first in this case, since everybody is counting me to have peace with the Crusaders, and even though, I am betraying my husband's love for this. I still love him with all my heart.' thought Nina, as she then went to her room, so she can cry all of the stress out of her. 'There. The tears are all gone now. It's time to be a true leader of this kingdom, since I am the queen after all.' thought Nina.

The princess' head snapped up when she heard the footsteps of someone draw near. Her hood fell down and she stared up at the guard that her mother obviously sent. "What do you want, Max? If it has something to do with my mother and her caring for my well being, just tell her I'm fine. I always walk around the kingdom without protection." Kara slowly stood, putting the small tiara back into her satchel as she stood face to face with the guard.

"Do I need to go with you back to the castle, or can I just continue worrying about life?"

"I know you always walk around the kingdom without any protection, Kara, but since the Crusaders are planning to do war with us. She is starting to become very worry about both you and your father's safety. Nina even went as far as sending a letter to Naomi, since she is trying her best to have peace with her by agreeing to join the Crusaders, because she also wants to protect the kingdom too." said Max. "You also don't need to head back to the castle, Kara, since I will tell her that you are doing just fine, but you should at least try to support your mother, since she is dealing with this whole situation without your father's help."

Max left Kara, so he can tell Nina that Kara is doing just fine right now. "Ok. At least I know that she is safe from harm, but can you keep on a eye on her, just in case something bad happens to her, since I want to make sure that she is safe, because I have to deal with trying to have peace with the Crusaders, since we can't take on their army in a war, because they are just too strong for us." said Nina. "Ok your majesty, but if she ends up saying that she doesn't want me to keep a eye on her, then I can't do anything about that." said Max, as he went to look for Kara again. "Your mother wants me to keep a eye on you, and I know that you are going to say that I don't need to keep an eye on you, but like I said before. Your mother is trying to protect everybody from harm." said Max.

Kara sighed, "Fine, you can join me. But please try and not make it too obvious that I'm royalty." Without another word, Kara pulled up her cloak once more and started into the main part of the kingdom. She walked around quietly, looking at the nervous and worried faces of the people around her. A soft an barely audible sigh escaped her lips. 'One day everything was going great in our happy little world, and the next we are stuck between hard decisions. How do mother and father do this?" She thought, a frown crossing her barely visible face.

She walked up to several vendors, and slid a few pieces of gold onto them without even buying anything. It was a daily routine for Kara, and it helped her get her mind off of things.

Darrien stood up from his barstool without a sound before paying for his drink and then leaving, opening the door and then walking quietly through the streets of the kingdom. Most people glanced at him once or twice but not because of his mask he was wearing that was a regular occurrence around here due to the crusaders but what made people glance at him was the extra two masks that were strapped to a sash that ran from his shoulder down to his hip. He continued quietly through the streets before eventually turning off down an alleyway into a small back alley inn. Opening the door in the same manner that he exited the bar he walked through the main area of the inn straight to his room before sitting down on a small wooden chair next to a wooden table, taking out a bag of money he slumped it on the table before opening it and beginning to count the money.

Castle Blackford

"What do you make of all of this 'Crusader' business, Father?" inquired Darren. Lord Gotfrid looked up from his desk with an uneasy expression on his face, and sighed. "They are radicals who would compromise the stability of our nation. With each day the Crusader rabble becomes more of a threat."

"They have a strong cause, Father. The Crusaders demand reforms in Rosendale's military." admitted Darren. Gotfrid rose from his chair with a piece of parchment in his hand that he had been writing on. "Their cause is corrupted by fear-mongering and violence. It will only be a matter of time before they raise the banners of war." told Gotfrid. By this point, both of their minds had become heavy with concern. Rosendale had not seen war for many years, especially not one of this scale.

"Queen Nina would put much at stake to keep this nation at peace. An armistice seems likely." said Darren. His father only softly shook his head. "Indeed. But a truce would only delay the inevitable. Blackford must be prepared for the worst." he explained. Godfrid returned to his desk with the parchment, folded it, stamped it with a wax seal and handed the letter back to Darren. "Deliver this missive to Captain Oswald. We must raise the levies and muster any able-bodied soldier by the end of the month. The tides of war are upon us." instructed Godfrid

"Consider it done, Father."

A never ending shadow, untold by the mouths of man. This was the presence of the Knight of Twilight. When he had so suddenly left after arriving in the same manner, he had not gone off towards the town he had spoke of. Instead, he took refuge within the shadows to observe the happenings of this event. Curiosity was his biggest weakness, but he needed to grasp the situation at hand. A young girl who had flung herself at Naomi and the woman who was the rightful Queen. It hadn't taken him long to grasp the situation fully, but he was more than just a bit aware of the fact that the King and Queen were very much alive. Sighing softly to himself, the Knight only took this information in through sound. He was several households away from the scene.

As he stood stock still, contemplating on his next move, his hands actually started to shake a bit. The shuddering coming Leon's armor was more than just a bit audible. He rather quickly brought his right arm up and took hold of his left arm. Just as soon as it started, the shaking stopped as he calmed himself. It wasn't until he was calm again that he had realized that the Queen had spoken up once more. "She's not going to battle the Crusaders?" Because he had learned this fact, his mind started racing with several different possibilities. No matter what way he looked at it, this was going to end in an actual honest to god war. Clenching his left hand, his gaze trailed down the street in which the woman named Naomi had traversed with her Knights.

He had to inform her of this and what the recoils of this would have across the land. Taking off from his spot, he jogged down the street. Taking it into consideration, they must still be somewhere nearby. For they would have to stock up on supplies if they were to leave so suddenly. He was more than just a bit concerned about this, but he was more concerned about the fact that he may not find Naomi as soon as possible. Oddly, luck was on his side. With a stroke of luck, he had heard what he believed to be her voice. Coming to a stop, he surveyed the area. Before long, his gaze came upon an Inn. With three short strides, he made his way towards the door of the Inn before entering it. He knew exactly what was to come of the whole situation, but now, he was calm. Calm as his gaze came to focus towards the group of Knights and their leaders, hoping they would take his words into consideration carefully.
