Fantasy The Kingdom of Rosendale

Naomi snapped her fingers, looking over towards one of her fellow Crusaders. He blew into the horn carved from an animal horn, which caused many of the merchants and their customers to collect around the castle. "Hello, people of Rosendale! I have gathered you here today to announce a...special event." She smiled as murmurs spread through the crowd. "I, Naomi Cross, hereby crown myself as the new queen of Rosendale." Gasps, and even shouts found their way through the crowd. Members of the Crusaders poked their swords at the crowd, threatening them to stay silent. "I guess you could say the Crusaders have overrun the kingdom." She put on the crown that rightfully belonged to the queen. "And I suppose you would be correct!"

Then crowd started mutiny .Ligart Stormnight - the best knight from the crusaders asked Queen Naomi - " queen what should we do now ? "

"Ligart, I would appreciate it if you just controlled the crowd right now." Naomi looked up towards the crowd, where quiet whispers and loud shouts were emmitting from. "I'm sure there will be questions soon."

Naomi giggled, much like a child as members of the crowd gasped in surprise. A select few kept yelling regardless, while many of them stayed silent. "I'm sure many of you have questions." She said, loudly enough for the crowd to hear. "If you politely ask me your questions, I will answer them."

Exhaustion. This one thing alone had nearly consumed Leon. Finally, he had made it to his long awaited destination. The Kingdom of Rosendale! For days, he had traveled with very little amounts of food and water, having to constantly hunt in order to get by each day. Of course, there was the occasional village in which he would pass through, but even there he couldn't get much. Then again, when walking across the lands in nothing but one's armor, it sure would be quite the difficult task to carry anything but one's own sword and shield. Aside from that, a brown sack was all that Leon had to claim to his name. Inside of this sack, of course, was a spare change of clothes and the odd fruit or two, but nothing more.

Once infamous in his Kingdom, Leon wasn't accustomed to the peace and quiet he was surrounded by here. The Knight of Twilight is what everyone had once called him. Leon earned this name not because of his skills, but because of the serenity in which people have seen from this rather strong Knight. The silver armor in which he wears has been known to shine many different a color during dawn and dusk. At dawn, his armor is known to shine with a resilience equal to that of the scorching sun. At dusk, his armor shines with a tranquil faint blue that rivals that of the moon's serenity. A slayer of many, but a sight in which few could come to comprehend. He was the pride and joy of his late King.

Such peace that he had come to grow ever nervous of seemed to disappear in an instant. The uproar he heard in the distance brought a gut churning sense of nostalgia back to this wandering Knight. Ensnared by a sense of curiosity unrivaled by any, the man took a running start towards all the commotion. He was too caught up in his curiosity that he hadn't realized he had dropped the very sack that held his last remaining food source. Leon's eyes were treated to the sight of the citizens of Rosendale. His amber eyes, hidden by the darkness of the silver helmet he bears, absorbed the scene before him.

As the uproar came to an end, he could hear the words of a woman above all else. "What in the world is going on?" This of course, was the very first thought to have run through Leon's mind. Then, he saw the crown on the woman's head. He had arrived in time to hear the woman's words. "Questions, huh? I have plenty." Stomping his foot down, the rattling of his armor echoed above the crowd. For the citizens, they would be greeted to the sight of a Six foot tall man, dressed head to toe in a silver armor that was designed for a Royal Knight. A large shield and a single sword rested on the male's back, only slightly covered by the cyan blue hair that freely hung from the back of his helmet. Blue hair? He had to of been a foreigner if his hair was of such a color. Moving forward, citizens moved a part. It was like a singular blade cutting through a stream of water.

"What is the meaning of this?" His voice echoed through the air. While his voice itself was rather smooth, it upheld a sense of strength. "Why in the world are you wearing the Queen's crown? Where are the King and Queen?" His questions were directed towards only the woman, and by the choice of questions, it would be clear to any that he had just arrived. Otherwise, he wouldn't be asking the first two questions. To Leon, this was wrong on every level. Who was she to so blatantly wear the Queen's crown? It stirred the beasts deep within Leon's heart. He even clenched his right fist in silent rage.

"Step back ! If you will hurt the queen i will hurt you . It will really ,really hurt you . First ,tell us who are you stranger .You look really exhausted ."

"The meaning of this is to keep the Kingdom of Rosendale strong and alive." Naomi spoke, looking down towards the knight. Being a former guard of the castle herself, she was perplexed as to who this person was. An adventurer? A swordsman?

"I'm wearing this crown because I am now Queen of Rosendale, Naomi Cross. The Knights around me agree." She spoke, the crowd still in an uproar. "A weak kingdom will never prosper! Because of that, I have brought it upon myself to strengthen this kingdom."

Naomi looked down at her best knight. "Ligart, I do appreciate your service, but he is of no threat. Until he tries to attack me, you have no need to be cautious."

"As for your question, Knight. I am Leon Van Terradil, previous Holy Knight of the late King Thorne. I came from the Kingdom of Verone." As he said this, his gaze moved towards the woman named Naomi. Clearly, this did not settle right with him, but since it was under a clear decision that she is to be the new Queen, and given such a sound reason, Leon knelt down. He brought his hands up and removed the helmet in which he wore. Setting it down in front of him, his piercing amber eyes focused solely on Naomi. His mid-back length cyan blue hair was held in a ponytail behind his head.

"As one who comes from a Kingdom that had fallen to the incompetence of a weak and foolish King, I will not raise my sword or ask any further questions, your Majesty. For you see, I came here from Verone to serve as a Crusader in the name of the King. But, as it seems to be that the King and Queen seem to have been disposed of, I humbly offer my services to you and your Crusaders, my Majesty. I am known as the Knight of Twilight." He bowed his head to the woman before him, all signs of anger seeming to have vanished. For some reason, he felt that there was something in this woman he could trust. Something that he believed would do better for the Kingdom.

Naomi smiled softly, happy to see another who fully agreed with her. She did not have the past or experience the knight before her did, but she could sympathize.

"Leon, I hereby except your wish to join the Crusaders. I do not know how hard it must've been to lose your home, but I am sincerely sorry for your loss." Naomi could only guess how many family members he may have lost.

Ligart looked at Leon and said "You look really exhausted . If you need water and food go to nearest tavern in the town ."

"My loss is of little relevance, your Majesty. What is important is what I have before me now. And what I have before me is an opportunity to start anew. I have your generosity to thank for that, your Majesty." He bowed his head once more before rising up. His gaze turned to Ligart, who he had a keen interest in. "I thank you for the offer, but I sincerely decline. However, I will be making my leave here momentarily. There is a duty in which I must fulfill in a town near of here. So, I will procure some supplies, then be on my way." As he spoke, he brought the helmet up and put it on once more. Turning, he started making his way out of the area. He then paused for a moment and turned back to Naomi.

"Before you ask, your Majesty. There is a town not to far from here that I had passed through. They were quite generous, for what little they had. Yet, they dealt with troublesome bandits. I had promised the town elder that I would return once I had set out what I needed to do. If I am to be a Crusader, I will be but a humble Knight to service the people in which this Kingdom's previous King had turned a blind eye to. I must be off now, I do not wish to keep them waiting any longer. I'll go by foot." The conviction in his voice was rather phenomenal. The amount of heart and conviction this Knight holds would probably shake the hearts of any normal bandit. Like a faint breeze, he was there one moment, then gone the next. The faint sight of his Cyan hair disappearing as he rather quickly took off.

Naomi was surprised by the knight's determination, even compelled by it. She looked back towards the crowd, noticing some of them had a change of heart.

Some no longer seemed frightened, but there were still some out there who were angered. "I will continue to answer any questions you have. As the new Queen of Rosendale, I will do my best to guide the residents of this kingdom."

Kara had been walking around the merchant stands when the commotion struck. She gathered deep with the small crowd, trying to blend in. Her eyes, although hidden under a black cloak that covered the majority of her face, showed the emotion of pure shock and horror. Only because she saw her mother's crown atop one of their past guards. 'What's going on?' She thought, watching the uproar continue. Kara's eyes landed on the knight that had just bowed to this traitor. The teen bit her lip, tugging at a small satchel on her side, the entire time she said nothing. In fact, she was clueless to the entire situation, but knew that her mother's crown didn't belong on that woman's head. Finally she spoke up, "What makes you think we need to be stronger?" She made her voice lower than it should be, so that no one would instantly recognize her.

"We need to become stronger in need to survive. Hereby kingdoms are only growing, while Rosendale has remained small and weak." Naomi spoke, looking through the crowd.

She knew this wouldn't be easy. Entering the castle, however, was. But people were never her strong point. "Nearby kingdoms will only continue to grow, only continue to take more land. It's better that I help Rosendale now than it being taken later."

"So instead of taking us over in the future, you take us over now? Good logic. You never thought how the royal family would fare? You never spoke to the King and Queen about the matter?" Kara was becoming more passionate about the situation, as she pushed herself forward through the crowd. The hood covering her face never moved, as she came to the front of the crowd.

"This surely doesn't seem like help, m'lady. It seems like a group of rebels took over our perfectly happy kingdom, for their own military benefits. Please, though, correct me where I'm wrong." She retorted.

"When I was a guard to the royal family, I mentioned that the king should put more military efforts into the kingdom. He didn't agree, despite many other guards' opinions." Naomi looked down towards the moving figure, dressed in a cloak.

"So I put it upon myself to help. I tried talking to him before I took over the castle. He still didn't agree. I tried to convince him. I did not succeed." A few knights stood up straight, curious about the cloaked figure.

"I know the kingdom was perfectly happy beforehand. I apologize for disrupting that, but it is better we are serious now when we can still protect the kingdom. I would hate to see this kingdom fall because we were not active enough in the military field."

"Well what about the people? Not everyone is fit for war, if you take over people could be miserable! If we stay our happy kingdom, then at least we'll fall being happy! You have no consideration for others!" Kara knew the woman had a good point, but couldn't stop fighting now, so she did what all irrational teenagers would do.

The princess in disguise launched herself at the woman, screaming in pure rage.

Naomi fell to the ground, her head hitting the round below. She glared at who she could now identify as the princess before she pulled out a hidden blade. Naomi positioned the blade towards her neck, her vision slightly blurred from dizziness.

"Kara, I'm sorry! Your mother and father are safe inside, I assure you they have been done no harm!" She couldn't help but yell, as she was furious. "I urge you to talk to me in a peaceful setting, as my guards could certainly kill you right now."

She looked behind Kara, where several knights had their swords and spears pointed at her back.

Infamous Alchemist Elissa Blackwell took one look at the enraged princess and furious new queen, then let out a small chuckle. She knew today was going to be an interesting day, but this interesting? She was pleasantly surprised by the change." A new ruler, a new knight and an enraged princess. This sounds like the beginning of a wonderful new tale. " Elissa chuckled to herself, then made an eep sound and darted back into the alley way. "Better be careful, don't want to get on the wrong side of the new law..."

Nina was asleep with her husband on their bed, since they both had a hard day from managing the kingdom yesterday. As she woke up from her bed, she noticed that her crown was missing. "My crown!' said Nina, since she wasn't happy that her crown was stolen. She tried to wake up her husband, so she can tell him that her crown was stolen, but he didn't wake up. "I guess, I will take your crown for a bit, sweetie." said Nina, as she started to write her husband a note on the desk. She put the note beside his nightstand about her borrowing his crown for a bit, since she wanted to know who stolen her crown in his place, since he is so tired from yesterday.

Nina was walking towards the throne room with her husband's crown on her head, but ended up stopping when she was hearing a commotion from outside of the castle.

Nina decided to go outside after telling her guards about this, since she needed to check what is going on there. After arriving towards where the commotion is, she saw Kara being pointed by swords and spears from the fake queen's knights. "Kara, that is enough." said Nina calmly, since she can clearly tell that her daughter is upset about something. She then looked at Naomi, who was now wearing her crown on her head. "Naomi, may I ask why you are wearing my crown on your head?" said Nina, since she wasn't there when her husband was talking to Naomi, since she was at a friend's birthday party.

"I'm sorry to say Nina, but I've overrun the castle." Naomi looked over towards her guards. "Could you get her off of me?" They obliged and picked her up, being careful not to harm her.

She stood up, dusting herself off. "I know your husband may not have informed you, and my guards certainly haven't..." She glared at the guards, finally exiting the castle in search for the queen.

"I'm the new queen. My group, known as the Crusaders, stand behind me with my claim." Naomi looked at Nina. "I believe the kingdom needs more military support. The King does not agree, so I have taken it upon myself to save the kingdom." She put her blade back in a hidden compartment in her cloak, which was no longer a secret.

Then Ligart Stormnight wake up hearing the screams from outside the castle . "What's going on ? Queen can have problems." Ligart run towards the exit from castle .

"Um Naomi, you do understand that the queen doesn't have complete control of this kingdom. The king has total control of the kingdom not the queen, since I only have control of this kingdom, when he isn't able to manage it. I am also temporary wearing his crown right now, since he is extremely tired from managing the kingdom, yesterday." said Nina.

Nina was hearing of what Naomi has to say right now, since she wanted to know what is going on here.

"I can't blame my husband's actions towards you wanting to have more military support for this kingdom, since he is pretty stubborn when it comes to talking about changing a peaceful kingdom into having a better military, since this kingdom has been peaceful from many years. But I can't aloud this to happen, Naomi, because one: you have stolen my crown, because you think that you can control this kingdom by using it to your own desires, since you can't have a military support for this kingdom, and two: have you ever thought about what the people of this kingdom wanted. since they all wanted to have peace in this kingdom. You are just forcing them to do something that they don't want to do, since we are all happy here.

Your actions are making the people of this kingdom rebel against you, since you aren't the true queen of this kingdom. I am, because I am just temporary borrowing her husband's crown for a bit. Your actions of wanting to protect this kingdom impress me, Naomi, but there are another way to stop a war without needing to have a military, you know, since we can make an alliance with another kingdom. Naomi, you need to stop this right now, or you are just going ended up having a civil war in this kingdom, since the people of this kingdom won't agree with you, because you are forcing them to something that they don't want to do."
said Nina.
