Fantasy The Killer Academy

Nightshade stretched as she stood up. She looks around noticing that the hall was empty. "Crap! Maybe I'll just skip." She walks around looking for a classroom that looks empty, she peaks in to some classes waving to the students inside before moving on. She stops at a door with a large red 101 on it. Checking the window she doesn't see anyone and walks inside.

Jane watched as Darren also used his hand motions while speaking. She was amused by how the boy moved his hands but she was even more intrigued by his explanation to her question, "Nightraven Academy..." She closed her eyes and imagined a flock of dark birds flying across night sky filled with stars as the moonlight reflected on a tall building in which she decided would be a school. Jane opened her eyes, now in a daze by the imagery, "Your old school sounds wonderful, Darren!"

She laughed a bit afterwards at how the boy's voice turned into a higher pitch, "No, I haven't. But i've been reading at the library here and oh! I have learned so much things!!" She scooted her chair closer to the boy with her eyes round as she thought of a suggestion, "If you haven't made a visit to the library, you should definitely go sometime! The books tell you so many marvelous stories about the world"

Colin took another sip of his coffee. "Trust me, feet on a desk will be the least of my concerns. Now then, it says here that your class was reading Catcher in the Rye over the break- I assume that is correct? I'll explain how this class will be taught once the rest of your schoolmates arrive."

Lorzo watched Annette packed herself up and leave. She threw him a last glance over her shoulder before she walked of class, and Lorzo stood there for a moment as she exited the room before bending down to pick up the guns on the floor, then walking over to his own desk, packing the rest up. He noticed a few daggers that he should've used but didn't during the fight, and frowned, then realized he probably didn't need it anyway.

He studied the guns he used for the spar with Annette before the guns fell apart itself.

Blinking, realizing the guns were already too old and worn to use or repair again, Lorzo let out a sigh and headed out to the hallways. Dorzo wasn't going to follow him--instead, he intended to stay with the teacher. Lorzo didn't mind that at all really, it's much peaceful without him anyway. He scanned the hallways before walking toward the shop, where he would buy his new guns. Lorzo spotted Annette ahead of him just when he was close to arrive at the shop.

Now that he thought about it, he didn't ask for her name....The realization passed his mind as he stepped into the shop.

Darren nodded. "Oh my, this girl's a little wet behind the ears" he mumbled. "Weeeeell" he started "I'll be sure to check it out. In fact, I have English next, so there's definitely going to be plenty of books then." Darren did in fact enjoy reading. He enjoyed facts and employed them daily. However, if he wanted hard facts that came quickly, he'd just look them up on the internet.

"Um... I hope you don't mind me asking but... how old are you?" Darren asked. His hands waved around, stopping in a slightly tensed position with his fingers all separated as if he were talking about ancient aliens. "You've never gone to school before?"

Jane blinked at the question. She haven't really given a thought about age. The girl glanced up at the ceiling as she started counting on her fingers, "Well....i've left the town about several years ago....then i trained with the gang for about two years....so I'm seventeen!"

She smiled, proud for summing up a fact about herself and shook her head at Darren's second question, "No, I have never attended school but i was taught how to read and write by the gang. They were really nice to teach me such things." She rubbed the back of her neck as she thought about the weaponry members, "I wonder how they are doing...probably going on spectacular adventures, i suppose."

She focused her attention back to the boy, "So, what about you? How long have you lived?"

Professor Igthorn glanced at the student who had entered the room, as he rubbed his hands together in a most sinister manner. "Exc-" He blinked at the student, before he pulled out his pocket watch to verify the time. "You have arrived rather, rather, early to the classroom of Proper Villainy." Professor Igthorn began twirling his mustache, "Class won't start for some-time. However, as you arrived so early... You must be eager for a career in villainy." Igthorn took out his blue-prints as he rolled them over the desk, "I suppose if you do not have any other classes to attend to at the moment, you may stay and listen to true tales of Villainy. AT least until the class proper starts." He continued drawing out his death trap schematics as he peered towards the student.

Jacob glanced at Collin, "Uh oh yeah, it was Catcher in the Rye I think." Jacob sighed as he glanced at Collin, "Say Teach Dude, why couldn't the summer reading be Moby Dick? Like, the themes in that book are totally gnarlatious. Like, the theme of perception man! Plus, Captain Ahab's relentless pursuit of the White Whale, shows us the dangers that zealousness can bring dude." Jacob scratched his big toe-nail, as he glanced around, "Anyway... Teach Dude, do you like know if there is a beach nearby?"

"Well, there's one about forty-five minutes to the south, but it's off-limits at the moment. Some kind of endangered bird or something nests down there this time of year, I've never really looked into the details. As for Moby Dick, I'm just a substitute- Mr. Firth, by the way. Nice to meet you."

He held out his hand for a second, realized that there was no way for the two to shake hands without getting up, and just settled for an awkward sort of half-salute.

Jacob nodded at the sub, "Ah thanks Sub Teach Mister Firth-dude! Bummer that the bird like has to be a nestin' right now, but hey that's where it lives... Uhh.." Jacob gave an hang-loose back, "Say, I can get out of the desk and like we can shake hands for legit. If ya wanna actually shake hands for real?" Jacob shrugged as he kept his feet on the desk, "OH yeah, Mister Firth, like I'm Jacob Pender." Jacob scratched at his right ankle, "Say Mister Firth brah, do you sub for English often? And like what other classes do you sub for?" he asked with a great sense of curiosity.

"No, no, that's alright. I'm not very inclined to get up either. As for substituting, I usually fill in where I'm needed. I'm usually assigned morning classes, though-", he checked his watch again, "-Speaking of morning classes, where are the rest of my students? Class is starting- or rather, ending, since we haven't transitioned into second period quite yet- fairly soon, if I've got this schedule right. I'm sure it's just this odd schedule throwing people off, is all."

Masao picked that moment to burst through the door. He'd gone off to the toilets while Jacob went on ahead, in case anyone needed to know. This time, Masao had tried to be extreeeeemely careful with the handle, so of course as he pushed in he managed to rip the door off its hinges. Completely. "This door also not stronk. Next class here, yes?" he asked Colin as he set the door down against the wall and pulled out his printed schedule to show the teacher. "Me english not good".

Nightshade stared at the strange man. "I umm thought there wasn't anybody in the room. But I guess I could stay here. Mr. ummm teacher.

Darren stared quizzically at Jane as she tried all the hard calculations in her head. He tapped at the legs of his chair with his middle and index fingers while patiently waiting for her to sum everything up. "What a hick" he thought. Then, as he continued looking into her forehead, a thought ran through Darren's head. He was in the dumb class.

"No no no no no no no" Darren muttered under his breath, though his nos quickly made a crescendo before Darren slowly got up with a loud and abrupt "NO!"

"Excuse me" he told Jane. He turned to the teacher and did the same. His old school didn't use hall passes, and he wasn't sure whether Killer Academy did. However, his panic drove him to run quickly into the counselors office to hopefully get all his classes changed.

Sadly for Darren, the counselor's office was locked. Taped to the inside of the door was a paper, on which was printed:

Substituting for Stevens in B-3. Leave a note in my box if you need anything.

_______________________________________________________

"I understand, Mister...", he looked closely at the shaved gorilla, "Are you a new student here? You can come by my office later if you need any help. It's room 58, near the library."

Quickly, Darren ran through the halls towards the counselors office. "Substituting!? What happened to the teacher!?" Darren looked, baffled at the sign. He sighed, then crouched down, reaching into his backpack for a piece of notebook paper and a pen. he tore the paper in half and held one half against the wall, writing "Need classes changed." on the front, and "Darren Jones" on the back.

He stuffed the half sheet into the note box in front of the counselors office and looked for his next class.

Masao would've scoffed at the comparison with a gorilla. After all he had been proven heavier and much taller than the average eastern lowland gorilla, the largest known species in the world. The fact had been the source of much amusement in a japanese tabloid, which at least kept his name and face under wraps and referred to him only as the Kansai Oni. Not only was he taller and heavier than a gorilla, he was also certainly much manlier and he knew for a fact gorillas could not engage in sumo. He would've scoffed and mentioned all these things in his broken english, but since he could not actually read minds he had no idea what was going on through Colin's head and just gave him a slight bow. "I, Masao Higashi. New here, yes, thanks you for help". With that, he went to sit down next to Jacob, the chair once again groaning and straining under his weight.

Professor Igthorn narrowed his eyes at Nightshade, "What class do you even have next." He glanced at his paper laid on his desk as he did a finger pyramid gesture. "If you are staying here, and skipping oh whatever class you have next, I am fine with that. HOWEVER!" Sylvester got up as he dramatically pointed his right hand at Nightshade, "You will properly take notes about "Henching", as this upcoming class is devoted to those preparing themselves for a life as a Villain's Henchman! Or going through the mook stage, in order to learn more about VILLAINY!" Professor Igthorn clasped his hands together, as he cackled. "An-"

An older student dressed in all black plate armor, rushed in the room. He was missing his left arm, yet that didn't appear to stop him in his task. In his mouth he was holding onto a bloodied katana, and on his right side he had at least three others ready. "He spat the Katana onto the floor as he gave a cup of coffee to Ightorn.

"You'll be a fine henchman some day. What happened to your left arm?"

"This is nothing Your Evilness. Tis but a flesh wound."

"You got into a sword fight with that Arthur boy?"

Professor Igthorn glanced at the student, "Carry on with your studies. And remember to practice your condescending laugh!" The boy nodded and ran out of the class, picking up his katana with his free hand.

Professor Igthorn took a sip of the coffee, "Ah it tastes all the fresher when stolen by an underling." He took out a small piece of taffy, "But the sweeter taste is that of candy stolen from children." He took out a piece of taffy and ate it. After eating it he returned his attention back at his drawing, and returned to work, all the while taking a few sips of coffee.

Upon hearing the crackpot professor -or maybe he really was a true villain- Kuran decided to skip class.

I don't think I really need this class...As amusing as it sounds, it'll take too much effort....

Taking out the school map, he mapped out the shortest route to the school library.

Hopefully there'll be some interesting books there, maybe there'll be one about how to kill a man with his own mustache and a grape perhaps? That'll sure be interesting.

Kuran pondered the possibilities as he walked towards the library, careful not to come in contact with anyone.

It's a pain to deal with people. Too much energy wasted.

She stared at him before slowly moving toward the door. "Umm while all this sounds nice, I think I'll just head out to the library." She bolts out running into boy, "sorry! before continuing to the library. As Nightshade got to the library She realized that the boy she ran into was the same guy whose lap she fell in. Why does this keep happening!?

Suddenly I was bumped into from behind

Che, who is it this time?

"Sorry!" ...I turned around to see that it was the same girl from before. The same girl who fell into my lap and woke me from my peaceful daydream.. I shook my head, clearing my mind of irritating thoughts. The pink haired girl appeared to be in a hurry, and she also seemed to be going to the library....which was were I was going...

Should I still go? She won't make noise in a library right? Well this is a Killer academy so the rules might be different....or the librarian can just kill you if you get too loud...

Deciding that it didn't matter if the pink haired pink was also going to the library, I continued my path.

When I reached the library, I headed straight for the dramatic comedy section, hoping to find something interesting.

Nightshade saw the boy walk into the library. She hurried to the back hopping not to be seen. She moves to the fantasy section, looking around. There was other in the library too but she was too shy to talk to them. She sits and relaxes.

Mei looked at the girl at the back of te class who called him Ms. Wang and his face darkened when he see that the girl wasn't there at the start of the class. His eyes turned deadly when Dorzo laughed like a complete idiot.

"You just volunteered to participate in the lesson." Mei said to the girl and turned to Dorzo, " And you. If you will spar me tomorrow in class."

Colin looked up as the bell rang, signifying the beginning of second period.

"Well then-", he looked over the remarkably small class, "-either there's been some terrible accident, or I'm going to be handing out quite a few tardies. Anyways, I'm Mr. Firth. Normally you would be taught by Mr. Stevens, but I'm afraid he's not in very good shape at the moment, so I'll be your substitute for a while."

He walked over to the whiteboard and picked up a marker, writing his name on the board before turning back to face the students.

"Now then, I'm assuming everyone completed the summer reading?"

Jane stayed frozen in her seat, blinking in confusion at what had just happened. She was in the middle of having a nice conversation with Darren until he suddenly burst out a "NO" and dashed out of the classroom.

Jane looked towards the front of the room when she heard another voice that seemed to be talking to her and saw that the teacher was giving her a fairly dark look.

"...Pardon...?" She tilted her head towards the teacher.

After a few minutes a thought occurred to her mind that she was unwanted, judging the fact by the teacher's expression and bowed to the person before leaving the classroom.

Jane looked around, wondering what to do now that she had left her second class. She looked through her schedule one more time, deciding her next action.

"Hm...I guess, I should go check to see if the library is open."

The girl wandered through the hallway until she found her designated located and smiled when she saw students walking in and out of the doors.

Jane walked into the library, pleasantly delighted that she could now spend her time here until the current class session time ended.

The girl walked around, looking into bookcase aisles. She looked around aimlessly at the books, not quite sure what she should read.

Darren made his way to class, picked the spot at the back next to the window, sat down, and sighed. He watched as the teacher babbled on and on, before realizing the name on the board. Mr. Firth. That was the name of the counselor. Darren wondered if his English teacher had the same name, before opening up his phone to check. His English teacher had a different name. Perhaps it had been the sub who happened to have the same name as the counselor- no. Darren reasoned that the English teacher and the counselor were one and the same.

He checked the name on his phone again. "Mr. Stevens, room B-3. " He read. Darren was definitely in B-3. Then, Darren recalled the sign. The counselor was subbing for a teacher. His eyes widened as Darren quickly raised his hand.
