Fantasy The Killer Academy

"I think Mei will take interest in you," Ying laughed. She stopped in front of a classroom and smiled at Dorzo. "Here's your classroom. I hope you and your brother have a nice day."

With that, Ying walked away to continue her little journey around the school.

Indeed, this will be quite an interesting year.

Jane yawned as she opened her eyes and lifted her head from a pile of open books. She stretched her arms and looked around at the endless rows of bookcases, group of tables, and flickering devices from the computer section. Silence greeted the girl as the morning light had already peeked into the large windows of the Library.

She flicked her head towards the closed doors that echoed faint chatters from the hallway. The new semester had started.

A smile crawled onto Jane's face as she leaned against the comfy chair of the main desk and stared up at the ceiling. She had arrived at this place just a few months before the school year had started. Luckily, she was a quick learner and had already found all of the possible routes around, in, and out of the academy. Just in time she had also found herself a place in the Library Committee.

Jane frowned as a thought swirled into her mind. She didn't know much about the people here besides the fact that they committed a crime and was fairly good at fighting.

Fighting, huh.

She had only trained for one very boring year with the weaponry gang. Speaking of the people of Academy. She thought she barely fitted in. A girl who simply commits thievery and used lock picks as weapons? What kind of bizarre profile is that? Jane sat up and let out a huff. But one thing was certain. The Killer Academy had sent her a letter. That must mean she was qualified to enroll into this place, wasn't it?

Or was she simply a bait to kill?

Annette glanced up as she noticed other students filing into the classroom. She had been sitting there for quite awhile already, since she always made an effort to be punctual for her studies, and she didn't care for socializing anyways. She sat on the far side of the classroom, around the middle of the row so she could see the board but wouldn't be noticed too much by most of the other students. Annette highly considered wedging her silver knife into the neat desk but then decided it would be rude to vandalize the school's property, no matter how bored she was. At least...she shouldn't on her first day back. Instead, the girl's slim fingers traced the smooth edges of the blade. It was weapons class, after all, so she knew people wouldn't give her weird looks for having a knife out at school- a school for killers, nonetheless. The only thing that even caused her to give an ounce of notice to her surroundings was the fact that she heard a door being ripped off its hinges. Annette sighed and looked back down at her desk, not even caring if it was in her classroom or another that had the door incident. Clearly, it was going to be a long year.

~~~
Caleb flew out the door and ran to the school. Oh no, I'm going to be late for my first day! he panicked. Upon his arrival, Caleb stopped to recover and figure out where he was supposed to go. He breathed heavily while staring up at the school. So big...so...pretty. Although he had been here a term already, he still thought the same things every day when he stepped onto campus. This was sure this would be a glorious, magnificent place to spend the rest of his academic years. Caleb grinned as he noticed other students walking into the building. More faces, more friends! Now what's my first class? Wait...I don't know where my first class is? Am I lost already? What if I walk in late and everyone stares at me and the teacher hates me and then no one will want to talk to me because they think I'm lazy and stupid and- Oh no...it's too early in the year for this! Caleb bit his fingernails nervously for a moment before flinging open the door to the inside. "Whoa, that's a lot lighter than I remember," he said to himself. At least he hadn't broken anything yet with his mechanical arm. Squeak. Caleb frowned and looked down at his left arm. "Guess it's time for some oil aga-" the boy stopped short as he turned too quickly and walked straight into a wall. "Ouch..." he said, rubbing his head.
While waiting for the class to start, Lax continued drawing her underwater fantasy...
"Lox, look look! I finished the picture! Isn't it pretty?" She asked, holding up the paper to her brother, who closely examined it. Lox softly smiled at his sister, happy that she was, well, happy.
"I'll admit, you did a really good job." Lox said, complimenting his sister's art taste. He always encouraged Lax to do her best, and that's the only way he could really compensate for their past; not that she remembered anything.
They were both sitting in the weapons class, waiting for it to begin, and it was fairly boring at the moment for Lox.
Lax on the other hand, continued in drawing various pictures and locations. Every now and then Lax would get flickers of her memory back, and whenever that happened, she tended to lay in bed crying and screaming. Lox tried his best at comforting her, although it would seem that a simple pat-on-the-back wouldn't work with her.
It was always strange when the episode ended, as Lax wouldn't remember or think twice about why she was crying.
Dorzo, as a habit, slightly pat Ying's head before entering the classroom, walking past a huge guy and not minding the broken door, for it's not strange to see one in this school. "Ah, thank you lady." He thanked the history teacher at the same time before waving a bye. After that, his eyes finally landed at the other teacher in the classroom.
"What, a male teacher? Here I thought Mei is actually a female name or something...." A tiny complaint slipped out of his mouth as he saw that the teacher's in fact not a female. He remembered then how Ying said "he" instead of "she" when she was introducing him. Letting out a sigh, he mumbled out, "Whatever, this dude's pretty enough to be a woman anyway."
Sitting himself into a random seat near the front, for sitting in the back wasn't his style, Dorzo didn't bother to look around the classroom. Instead, he greeted the person in front of him, who was the teacher. "Hey, girly guy~!" He teased without meaning any harm, simply decided to choose a nickname for this teacher.
However, his attention shifted when another presence entered the classroom. A smile formed onto his face as he waved his hand at the entrance of the classroom. "Yo, Lorzo."
-
"Yo, Lorzo." The familiar tone entered Lorzo's ears, and he noticed it's from his brother.
It's nice that he didn't have to open the door for himself--the handle broke anyway, by a huge guy that Lorzo didn't bother to care.
After searching for the classroom on his own, it's not weird to find his brother arriving faster than him, for he probably asked that history teacher for help. The white-haired lad responded to the greeting by completely ignoring it before walking to the back of the classroom.
Lorzo could tell that his brother was used to him ignoring him for he simply let out a sigh.
He settled himself in a seat at the near back of the classroom, his attention slowly shifted to the teacher, who stood at the front of the classroom--a handsome, rather beautiful, male, in which Dorzo just called the "girly guy". Different from the others, Lorzo couldn't see usual weapons like guns, knives, or swords from this teacher. Instead, he saw a fan.
A fan as the weapon, interesting.
Having studied the teacher enough, Lorzo's eyes settled upon a girl near his seat. Her slightly, curly black hair, still expression and the blade in her hand spread a cold yet mysterious aura. Lorzo looked at her for a moment before a thought slowly formed in his mind, she has a nice blade.
Now that he thought about it, it's probably time for him to either buy some new guns or enhance his old ones as well.
Darren finished his spaghetti somewhere in the hall and washed the plate at the nearest water fountain. He dried it with his shirt and stuffed it inside his backpack. Darren then took out his phone, which he had used to snap a photo of the classes he had for the semester. First period he had English class, followed by combat and weapons class. Darren paused to look again. "Weapons class?" he thought. He had to double take, before throwing the phone back into his pocket and continuing to English class. Perhaps he'd figure out what this 'weapons class" actually was.
Darren opened the door to the English classroom, scanned around for a seat, then picked the one near the back next to the window. He put his backpack down beside him and rested his right elbow down on the table before putting his right cheek on his right hand and looking deeply out the window. "The wind" he said "is troubled today..."
While waiting for a late bell to sound, Mei sat at his desk and read a book that Ying had lent to him. He kept his head down as students walked in, only glancing up once or twice to make sure no one was stirring up trouble. There were only a handful of students that caught his attention, such as the pair of twins in the middle of the room, a girl with a silver blade, and a young man with a scythe. They were the type of students that looked like any other students, but would spread an aura that would just tell him that they're... Just not quite ordinary.
Of course, most students here aren't exactly ordinary at all.
Though Mei had already found a few students that caught his eyes, what really made him look up from his book was when he heard the door being broken.
The male standing at the door was a human wall. He looked as though he could crush a person with his bare hands. Mei couldn't help but wonder if he could even fit through the door.
While he wondered that in his mind, another young man walked in. He wore an eye-patch and had a rather unpleasant air to him. He greeted another student who blatantly ignored him.
Suppressing a sigh that threatened to escape from his mouth, he was about to go back to his reading when the eye-patch guy called out with an amused tone, "Hey, girly guy~!"
The corner of Mei's eyes twitched as he stood up and walked towards the shameless student. When he was in front of the him, Mei only looked into his eye for a brief second before he abruptly swung his hand across the student's face. A loud slap resounded in the classroom, and the older male stared coldly at the disrespectful student.
Erin had been patrolling the halls, about to enter the classroom, when she opened the door to be greeted by Mei smacking a student across the face. She stared for a moment, not exactly expecting a man such as himself to be so harsh. "How stupid are you? This is a school for criminals and murderers and you actually assumed he'd be innocent?" She thought to herself, before walking past the scene and leaning up against a wall in the front of the classroom. Erin whispered to the woman seated by the teacher's desk "I would've done the same thing..."
Jane scratched her head as she picked up books on the desk, looking for a piece of paper.
Where had it gone? She frowned and stood up, started to walk around the desk when a sudden crunch under her feet stopped her. Jane looked down to pick up what she had stepped on and smiled, "Here it is!"
She patted the paper,trying to dust off her footprint before reading her schedule. She blinked when she read the time of her first class and quickly ran out of the library, quietly cursing under her breath.
"I thought my class started in the afternoon, not in such ridiculous sunny hours of the day!"
She slowed down her pace while placing a hand on a dark pouch she wore around her waist. It held her dear lock picks that were always handy to her.
Stopping in front of what she assumed to be her first class, she noticed that the door had been knocked off its hinges as she walked inside.
Broken door? "Wow~ this is going to be a fun class.."
Her voice trailed off when she noticed a large red mark on one of the student's face and a male holding a large fan. She looked back and forth at the fan and red mark until she finally realized what had seemed to happen.
She cautiously eyed the person who held the fan before holding up her schedule to re read it again. She fought an urge to smack her own face with her hand when she had identified that this was her second class. "Ahah....oh..uh...wrong class, sorry!"
She forced out a laugh before quickly turning around and darted out of the classroom.
"The first class is history, you idiot. Not weaponry, history!!" Jane shook her head as she scolded herself.
I had almost dazed off while polishing my scythe but the sound of slap that rang throughout the room brought me back to reality. Confused, I looked towards the direction of the sound, noticing that there were more students in the classroom now. The source of the sound was.....the teacher? He had a large fan in hand, and the student near him had a red mark on his face.
Wonder what happened.....Eh, the student probably deserved it, I mean, teachers don't hit students for no reason right?
Deciding that I wouldn't bother with the issue any longer, I went back to polishing my scythe, tuning out again.
Dorzo's eyes widened as he felt the sudden pain across his pain and realized that he failed to dodge it. Holding against his cheek immediately with one hand, Dorzo clicked his tongue, feeling the pain, the sudden anger rising in him.
"What's your problem?!" He couldn't help but yell back, hissing quietly as the pain slowly ceased. Staring straight back into the cold eyes of the teacher--Mei, he raised an eyebrow, frowned, looked around, before leaning back to his seat. The presence of another teacher entered the classroom....She definitely saw what just happened.
Dorzo let out a deep sigh before rubbing his cheek "Alright alright, so you don't like the nickname. That's one hell of a slap for a simple nickname."
Well, at least Dorzo knew that this teacher's definitely not as soft as he looked.
His attention shifted to what's been used to slap him--a fan. The unhappy look slowly disappeared from his face as it was replaced quickly by a smirk. "Ho~So you slap me with that fan. Quite the unique weapon. We should have a fight someday sometime." He grinned. "Anyway, Mr. Girly Slapper, that slap hurts really much though."
Annette could feel the force of the slap by the vibrations that sent her knife falling from her loose grip. She quickly caught the blade before it fell onto her desk and stuck it back into her bag before observing, now with interest, the event that had taken place. Though startling, the punishment did not bother the girl. In fact, she liked strict teachers. Annette found she was able to learn more under firm instructors, and she appreciated that. When she heard Dorzo's new comment, the girl rolled her dark blue eyes. No wonder he had gotten slapped. She made a mental note to steer clear of that guy...she had a feeling he would be nothing but trouble. however, Annette was intrigued by the instructor's choice in weaponry. A fan...how peculiar. No, how extraordinarily wonderful and elegant, she thought. I wish I knew how to use them...
~~~

Caleb rubbed his eyes and carried on his way, glad that no one had noticed his clumsy act. First class...first class...hm... Caleb scratched the top of his head. "Something tells me it's History...Well when in doubt, go with your gut, right?" the boy said to himself cheerily. He straightened and walked joyfully to the history classroom. He picked a seat near the front of the room and sat there, smiling to himself. Caleb hummed a little tune before glancing around at the other students. He didn't recognize anyone from the previous semester, at least no one he cared to associate with- the few he remembered didn't seem to like him. So, the boy resigned to observing the new members. He noticed a girl walking in with long, dark hair and smiled a friendly smile at her.

Jane carefully looked around the classroom, making sure this was her first class. When she noticed a bright auburn-orange haired lad smiling at her, she politely smiled back and took a seat next to him.

She raised an eyebrow when she caught sight of his mechanical arm, the metal parts simply fascinating her. "Hey...is that solar powered?"

Jane blinked as the words flew out of her mouth without a second thought. one of her hands automatically brought itself to the back of her neck as she rubbed out of habit whenever she felt uneasy.

She slightly furrowed her eyebrows as she looked away and started to scold herself in her mind. How could she ask such a question without even greeting the person first?! " I'm making one mistake after the other, aren't I.. " Jane thought to herself.

It took Mei all his restraint to hold back his urges to smack the student silly. He closed his eyes briefly, and with a twist of his wrist, the fan in his hand opened and he slowly fanned himself. It was a habit that he had developed when he first came here. There were a lot of cocky students like this one here, and he started to do this whenever he felt stressed out because of them.

Mei calmly turned to female teacher and bowed, "Hello Erin. I'm sorry you had to see that."

Ying checked the time on her watch and decided it was time to head to the classroom. There were probably already some early birds waiting for class to start. She quickly walked to her classroom, and like she expected, several students were already in the classroom when she arrived. She gave the students her trademark smile and sat down.

"Oh, no problem. Like I said, I would've done the same." Erin replied, leaning her head back against the wall. "Anyways, I think I'll help you supervise the new class... I'll get them later today, but I want to see what type of weapons I'll have to be teaching." She said, so matter-of-factly. Then, there was a small pause, followed by "...that is, if you don't mind." Erin then looked down at her nails, somehow knowing he'd agree to let her stay.

Dorzo watched quietly as Mei closed the fan and held back his urge to slap him again. Although Lorzo often mentioned how he had a bad behavior and should change it, he couldn't see the need to change himself. Dorzo never really cared about what others thought of him anyway.

He rested his head against his palm as he watched the unhappy Mei apologized to the other teacher. Erin--The combat teacher. He has her class on his schedule too. Not like she'll like him though.

Ironically, Dorzo himself did not hate any of the teachers, especially Mei for slapping him. To him having somebody standing up for himself is nice, although he didn't see much offense in calling another the girly guy. Well if girly guy is seriously such an offense, it wouldn't be weird for a teacher to correct him either.

"Supervising huh~" Overhearing Erin's words, Dorzo repeated the word to himself quietly. It's nice to have two good teachers in the classroom on the first day of school. "So what will you b--"

-

"So what will you be teaching us Girly Slapper and Manly Lady."

Lorzo could almost guessed what his older brother is going to say next as he immediately took out a dagger and threw it toward his brother. Noticing the attack before it actually hit Dorzo, the other quickly turned around and grabbed the dagger.

"A slap then this...What's your problem this time?!"

Lorzo watched as Dorzo frowned, yelling with an utterly unhappy tone.

Walking to the front of the room, Lorzo smacked Dorzo's head. "If you get into trouble, I will get into trouble as well." He huffed, then looked toward the teachers. "I apologize for my brother's rudeness."

Dorzo, who couldn't bear this any longer, let out a groan. "Wait, did you just assume that I'm going to offend them? It's nicknames, nicknames! I'm about to call the weaponry teacher Mei Mei for a really cute Chinese girl nickname, and Erin Manly Lady. Ah ah, why do everybody have problems with my nicknames." Although he complained about it, he didn't sound mad. "Yosh, I learned my lessons, may I call you Mei Mei? 梅梅? 妹妹? Which one do you prefer?" As if due to Lorzo's influence, Dorzo softened his tone and cockiness, watching Lorzo as he walked back to his seat then stared back at Mei.

Erin's ears perked up when she heard the 'nickname' Dozoro had given her. She clenched her eyes tightly, and waited until he had seated himself before speaking. "You know, Dozoro, I allow a single freebie to each student on their first day..." She began, walking towards his desk. "...a single time where they can goof up, and nothing will happen to them." She had reached the table, and slammed her hands on each end of the desk with such force that it shook. Holding the desk tightly, she stared into his eyes, a demented smile on her face as she said "You are to refer to me as Erin. If you call me anything else, I cannot continue to guarantee your safety here." She then stood up straight, still staring, but her expressions were more irritated than creepy. "...Kapeish?"

Masao graciously allowed the other students to enter before he did even if they weren't his friends, for real men held the door open for those less manly. Just as Mei had wondered Masao indeed did not quite fit through the door. He had to lower his head a tad, slightly bend his knees and walk sideways to enter the classroom, all the while muttering about the poor quality of construction and how puny people should make larger doors, all of it in japanese, which made it sound all the more articulate and agressive. Instead of heading towards a seat he stood to the side of the door, watching the events unfurl while still holding on to the destroyed doorhandle, too entertained to do anything else.

He didn't really think this Elin looked manly, at all, he didn't think anyone he'd seen in the school thus far was anywhere near being manly save perhaps for Jeikob, but if there was one thing about Masao, it was his love of a good fight. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" he started calling out as things degenerated, violently stamping his foot against the floor and producing an incredibly loud and obnoxious clacking noise with his wooden sandals that would likely carry over to many a spot within the school.

Nightshade finally awakes looking around sleepily. Her eyes quickly widen,it seems that class had started and she had been asleep! She let out a loud gasp and frantically looked around,what was this class anyway and was it even the right class her thought are panicked. She shots out of seat but falls pathetically. She lays there and considers just not going on for the rest of the day. She get back slowly without looking at anyone but the teacher and sits back down. She raises her hand "I'm present."

Mei's eyes twitched when the human wall walked in and started to make a ruckus with his yelling and stomping. First the shameless student (the nickname that Mei had given him in his mind) and now this guy. He admit, he didn't have the best temper, but it was definitely better compared to many other people, but these students drove him to the edge of his breaking point.

If there was something that could drive Mei to that point, it would be undisciplined students.

Since Dorzo was already taken care of by his brother and Erin, Mei walked to the human wall. From a distance, the guy looked impressive enough. Up close though, he was like a tower.

Unfazed by the student's size, Mei grabbed the collar of his shirt firmly and pulled him down with incredible force so that they were eye-leveled. With a calm and leveled voice, Mei said softly and eerily, "If you continue to make so much noise, you can bet on your life that I will make this semester hellish for you."

Annette saw the knife fly toward the obnoxious boy and found the source to be another guy who looked similar to the first. She assumed they must be related. Annette sighed and simply prepared for class...whenever it was going to start. She produced a notebook and pen, though she wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this course. It could be interesting, judging by the looks of things already.

Caleb was pleased that Jane chose to sit next to him, but he was completely caught off guard by her question. "Huh!? Solar...what...is that even possible?" he gasped. "I've never heard of such a thing, thought it sounds a little inconvenient. I mean...if it was solar-powered...I couldn't use my arm at night...right?" Caleb asked, truly puzzled by the concept. "Oh! I'm-" he started to introduce himself until he noticed the teacher walk in. At Ying's smile, he grinned once again. A smile always put him at ease, and he figured their history teacher was probably a wonderful person.

Slightly taken aback by the lad's reaction to her question, Jane stifled a giggle. She blinked when the lad seemed to cut his words short and looked towards the front. Curious, she followed the lad's gaze as the teacher walked in. Her jaws nearly dropped to the floor when she saw how dazzling and gorgeous the woman was.

She closed her mouth when she took notice of the woman's clothing that matched her beauty. She wondered what type of riches this teacher possessed. Perhaps multiple expensive kimonos? Bejeweled hair ornaments? Golden accessories? She seemed so fair and gentle, but this was Killer Academy, there was a high chance she was very deadly as well- like most of the people here.

Unconsciously, Jane slipped a hand into her pouch and pulled out a short hook pick. She took the silver metal into her grasp and started twirling the pick, trying to figure out what type of person the teacher was.

As time went on, Darren realized people weren't coming into class. He checked his phone again, then realized that he didn't ave first period English after all, but rather first period weapons. He ran out the door, this time sure he would be late. He slipped past a sumo and a teacher then chose, once again, the seat near the back next to the window.

Class's never going to start, seeing all the ruckus going on, Lorzo couldn't help but thought to himself, furrowing his eyebrow. He looked toward Mei, who was restraining the huge student, and his brother, who was dealing with Erin. The sight of a notebook and a pen caught his eyes and he looked toward the girl with the cold and mysterious aura before.

Did she actually expect anything out of this course? He couldn't help but sigh. Probably not, though, for the attentions were really focused on the events unfolding themselves during class.

--

Dorzo blinked when Erin slammed her fists at his desk and told him to call him Erin, Erin only with an angry tone and irritated expressions. For a moment, he raised an eyebrow before waving his hand off. "Yes, yes, ma'am. I'm gonna be yelled at by Lorzo again if I say otherwise anyway." He clenched his fists together. "So Erin, eh? Quite the fierce woman." He grinned, turning his head to look at Mei dealing with the huge student who just entered the room, stomping his foot and excited for a fight.

"Fufu, it sure is a lively and entertaining way to start the first class of a new semester," Dorzo commented with a grin, looking forward to what'll happen to the rest of the school year.

Colin sighed as he looked over the lesson plan, thankful, at least, that the first period in room B3 happened to be an early-morning study hall. He looked up at the students listening to music, sharpening weapons, beating the shit out of one another- pretty standard study hall, really. Or at least, it was until he heard a familiar voice.

"...Pulling his zweihander seemingly from nowhere, Carlos prepares to deal a mighty blow to-"

"-Carlos, we have a place for fighting.", Colin said to the boy.

"The teacher pleads with Carlos, his eyes not ready for such spectacular bloodshed, but-"

"Carlos, am I going to have to call Mr. Crumb?"

The boy sheathed his sword, glaring at the smaller kid.

"...Carlos withdraws coolly."

"There we are!"
