Fantasy The Harpy Village

She glared at him, offended. "How would I know? You were the first human I ever met." She wanted to add another comment but didn't, just hiding her face under her wing again.

He looked at the girl and decided to show mercy to her and he let her out of the cage. "I'm sorry for abusing you can you forgive me?" He said to her.

She slowly sat up, eyeing the opening and him warily. Was this another trick of some sort? Very slowly and cautiously she stepped out and took a few steps away to clear distance between them. She didn't reply or make eyecontanct.

"Anything... Besides those little... dot thingies." She said, referring to the seeds. She shifted on her feet uncertainly, wondering why he was suddenly so kind.

"They don't seem filling. Or very flavor full." She said, not seeming to notice the teasing tone.

She frowned, but apprantly the more she obeyed, the sooner she got out. And if she hate half of it, she'd get better food.

"Wait, what's salad?" She asked, glancing at the bowl in the cage with distaste.

She glanced at the salad. "I don't know... It doesn't seem half-a-bowl-of-dotty-things worthy," She said slowly, eyeing him warily as if worried he'd get mad.

"I don't really have that much of good stuff that you may want, I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat meat." He said to her as he ate all his salad.

"Fruit?" She asked hopefully. Fruit wasn't meat, right? Very slowly she picked up the bowl from inside the cage with her hidden talon-fingers. She held it uncertainly, not really wanting to eat it.

He put fruit in the bowl "Try it, you may like it when you don't try things you won't know." He told her being kind. "Also I'm not gonna hurt you long as you don't get me mad."

She watched him put a pear in the bowl and she slowly picked it up with her mouth. Her hands weren't really made to hold food, so she didn't really use them. Occasionally her free hand would come up and turn it slightly, or make sure it didn't fall out of her mouth. Surprisingly, not much juice was dripped onto herself or the floor, and she finished it under three minutes. She also used her tongue to pick up some of the seeds and swallowed them. They didn't taste like anything and she didn't like the feeling they made when they went down her throat. She put the bowl on the couch.

"You said I had to to get better food. That was the fruit. I listened." She said simply, rubbing her tongue against the top row of teeth momentarily. She didn't want any extra seed stuck in her teeth.

After a long day of being angry with her he noticed it was alright night once again. "Alright I'm gonna get some sleep come with me Ava."
