Fantasy The Harpy Village

"You know what I've had it with you!" He grabbed a knife and stabbed her wing. He didn't hurt it vitally but he made her feel the pain from it.

She wasn't expecting such a hit and bit her tongue to stop from crying out in pain. Tears were welling in her sky blue eyes and she turned her head away. She knew she wouldn't be able to fly until it was healed, and at this rate she could just kiss her wings and very life away.

Red soaked onto the neiboring feathers, and though it wasn't much, it was still there.

"Now would you still want to be stubborn or no? Of you do I could just make you no longer fly in your life again and you will always have to walk.

She didn't reply, but pulled on one of the chains weakly in a silent answer. She wouldn't be as stubborn, or she would try at least.

He then threw her in the cage and closed it and put a lock on it. He didn't want anyone to take his harpy away from him especially since it took him time to get it.

She glared in his direction, but rolled onto her side and curled up slightly with her back to him. She didn't want to be seen in pain. Tears trailed down her cheeks, and she gingerly touched her bare stomach where she had been hit. It stung and she pulled her feathers away. Her hands and fingers were hidden in feathers and identical to her feet ,but were instead smaller and more hand-like.

Around midnight she opened her eyes and realized she had blacked out and sept for a few short hours. Very slowly and silently she stood up and looked over to see Justin's figure sleeping on the couch. Very carfully she put her healthy wing out on the bars and tried sliding one of her small talons into the lock to open it. If she was successful she would crawl out and after seeing the door locked, flop onto his bed and fall asleep curled up in the middle.

The lock was successfully picked and it opened for her and made a loud bang as it crashed on the floor not waking Justin just her one problem was opening the cage.

She flinched at the noise and was very surprised she wasn't caught and stripped of her wings right there. Eventually she got into the bed in her curled position in the middle, and fell asleep

The morning arose and Justin woke up and saw the harpy not in her cage but yet on his bed. He just grabbed her wing and broke the scab that was making it heal. "Alright tell me why you did it?" He said to her whole he was ontop of her pinning her to the bed.

She awoke to a sharp pain in her wing, and a heavy weight on top of her. Her body was limp, and the harpy was still obviously exhausted and drowsy.

"Huh?" She grumbled, struggling too keep her eyes open now. If she had been properly awake to realize what was going on, she would have reacted much differently.

She bit down hard on her tongue again, and tasted blood. "It it isn't fair..." She whimpered softly, not meeting eye contact. She finally noticed her current position and squirmed uncomfortably.

"Maybe if you earned some trust you wouldn't need to spend your life in the cage." He stated sharply as he grabbed her and threw her into the cage and put a combination lock on her cage door.

"You can't earn trust by being a jerk," she said before he could throw her back in and her back hit the back on the cage. She curled up as far away from him as she could and hugged her knees to her chest and curled wings around them completely. Creating a small black ball in the corner. She didn't think she could ever come close to trusting him.

"Well, maybe if you get enough trust and I think it's time you can go back to your home." He said to her as he saw her curl up to a ball.

Her head suddenly lifted and she stared at him. "You're going to take me home?"

"If you get enough trust and when I think your ready to leave." He said to her. "It's funny how many people had caged harpies in the past but yet the harpies haven't even put a thought in their mind to get revenge on the humans and cage them." He said out loud in thought.

Ava slowly lowered her head to the floor again, obviously disappointed by his answer. "Humans are dull and annoying usually... At least that's what the older harpies have said." She said, draping a wing over her face and closing her eyes. She was still tired.
