When the clock struck 6:00AM, Aurora was already up and about. She had awoken an hour earlier so she could pack last minute, take a long, hot shower, and actually make an effort towards her looks for the first day of camp. She had filled one large suitcase and one large duffel bag with all of her clothes, shoes, and accessories that would be vital for this summer. When her mother came into her room to ask if she had everything, her mother raised a brow at the fullness of her daughter's bags. She simply shook her head though, turning to make her way back to the kitchen when Aurora told her that everything was in order. "Don't worry mom, I can pack my own clothes for summer camp," the last part rolled off her tongue easily, Aurora had been showing her gradual hate for this summer camp thing ever since school let out, but--of course--her parents had not let up and made it clear she was going.

"You'll have fun Aurora honey, you always do." And with that, her mother descended down the stairs into the depths of the Walker's home. Aurora simply rolled her eyes but smiled, throwing on the outfit she had picked out for the day: a white singlet, baby blue denim shorts, a nice cream cardigan that dropped just over her knees along with a pair of beige/brown angle boots. It was a simple, yet effective outfit if any cute humans caught her eye. The young woman slung her duffel bag over her shoulder and lugged her suitcase down the stairs until she passed the kitchen, making it to the front door just as the strap of the duffle bag began to bite into her shoulder.
"Whew," she exhaled, dropping her luggage by the door and turning back towards the kitchen where her mother was making a mean breakfast.

The family dog, came trotting up to Aurora his big, brown eyes just begging for attention. Aurora gave in, giving him a few scratches behind the ears before walking up beside her mom.
"Need any help?" Her mother shook her head and went back to scrambling the eggs. The young woman swiped a piece of bacon that had just been finished, sliding over towards the refrigerator to take a swig from the Orange Juice container.

"Aurora Belle Walker!" Her mother shouted, catching her daughter in the dirtiest of deeds. "I swear," she sighed, swiping the container from Aurora's hands and pushed it into the back of the fridge, "You and your father will be the death of me." Aurora simply shrugged, taking a a piece of toast and making her way back towards the front door.

Just then, her two younger brothers whizzed past, one carrying a lightsaber and the other holding a toy dragon out in front of him.
"Bye you two!" Aurora shouted, catching the boys attention just enough to where they ran over to hug their sister and then take off again. Her mother came out of the kitchen with a dish-towel over her shoulder and a smile, "Have fun dear! Your father and I expect a call when you are all settled in." Aurora rolled her eyes and spoke, "I will. I love you all!" Picking up her luggage once more and hauling the load out to her grey Jeep. Once the bags were safely in the trunk, the girl climbed into the driver side and made her way out of the driveway. She checked the time and decided the highway was just not the way to go right now, instead, she took the back roads, making it to camp in less than an hour and a half.

As the camp came into view, Aurora couldn't help but wrinkle her nose in disgust. The place was atrocious; young ones running amok, half the cabins infested with cockroaches, and not to mention the lake probably wasn't even swimmable anymore.
Good thing I'm not staying here..." she mumbled, pulling her luggage from the car and dragging them behind her towards the check-in table. She was in such a hurry to give the lady her name and age, "Aurora Belle Walker. I'm seventeen," that she didn't really bother to look around for her friends. They would show up sooner or later but she had some planning to do.

Slowly opening her eyes, she let out a soft yawn and reached across her bed and slammed a lazy hand on the snooze button before sitting up and turning off the annoying buzzer for good. Reaching her arms up above her head, she stretched, a few bones in her arms, shoulders, and back cracking at the sudden movements. When she finally forced herself to get up, she yawned again and walked over to her dresser, pulling out her favorite Nike sports bra and a pair of bright blue yoga pants. After changing, Sky found her yoga mat and silently went downstairs, careful not to wake her brother, and walked out back by their pool. She laid out her mat before stretching and beginning her usual morning yoga routine. Just over two hours later, she finished and headed back inside, the sound of another alarm clock blaring through the house. Jogging upstairs and throwing her mat on her bed, she busted into Nate's room and shut his alarm clock off before climbing onto his bed and beginning to jump up and down in order to wake him up happily. "I call dibs on the shower first!" she said happily before she jumped down and ran out of his room.

After she got a shower, she walked back to her room and began finding what she wanted to wear. Deciding on a pair of shorts, a green tank top, and her vans, she slipped them on before going over to her dresser and brushing out her wavy hair. She loosely curled it for more of an effect and smiled as she did her makeup carefully. Adding her naval piercing, she smiled as she slipped on one of her beanies and looked in the mirror, adjusting her clothes carefully. Just as she finished, her mother knocked on her door and let herself in. "Hey baby, are you excited?" she asked, earning a simple nod from her daughter. "Do you have everything you need?" the older woman continued, obvious anxious that she would forget something. "Mom, I have everything. I packed all last night and I checked off my list," Skylar said with a wide grin, her mother nodding ever so slightly. "Okay baby, I'm going to go start breakfast. "Make sure your brother has everything?" she asked, causing Sky to laugh a bit and nod. "Yes ma'am," she said just as her mother walked out.

She walked into Nate's room and began questioning him on everything he had, and once she knew he did, she smiled and allowed him to take down both of their things as she followed. When she walked into the kitchen, her mother was just finishing breakfast consisting of waffles, bacon, eggs, toast, and fruit. Once the young girl fixed herself a full plate, she sat down at the table and began to eat just as a little striped feline made himself known by rubbing up against Sky's leg. Leaning down, Skylar gently pet her cat, Tiger, enjoying the feel of him purring against her hand. "I'll be back before you know it boy," she said softly as she finished eating. Putting her plate in the sink, she quickly went to her bags and walked outside, loading them up in the bed of Nate's truck and climbing into the passenger seat, checking her phone quickly for any text while she waited on her brother, who came walking out soon after and repeated her steps. Once he started his truck, they shared a mischievous glance and both called out their respective windows to their parents that they loved them and headed off to camp. Once they arrived, Skylar got out and tugged her things out of the bed of the truck and pulled her bags behind her as she walked to the sign in areal. "I'm Skylar Jordan Anderson. I'm seventeen," she said with a smile and began looking around even though not many people were there.

He shot up as his sister jumped on his bed and watched as she ran out and to the bathroom. Rubbing his face, he shook his head and let out a soft sigh. "No more banana smoothies before bed," he whispered to himself as she let out a yawn and made sure his alarm clock was off. Stretching out his lean body, he slowly managed to get up and began finding something to wear after his sister got out the shower so he could get one. Finding himself a towel, he waited patiently for the water to heat back up when his sister got out and decided to do a bit of exercising as he waited. When he finished, he walked to the bathroom and showered, making sure not to take too long before getting out and shaving most of his facial hair. He left a bit of a five o'clock shadow but nothing more as he applied a bit of aftershave and headed back to his room and found his clothes.

He dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a blue and white flannel shirt with a pair of vans before applying a small bit of gel to his hair and styling it carefully. When he finished, he quickly looked himself over in the mirror just as his sister came bounding into his room without knocking. "I could have been naked for all you know, Sky. You have to learn how to knock," he said with a dramatic sigh, though she just ignored him and began rambling questions about what he had packed. There were a few things he forgot, but once everything was in his suitcases, he made two trips downstairs, one for his sister's things, and one for his bags and his guitar. When he came back down the second time, Skylar was already eating, so he walked into the kitchen and gave his mother a kiss on the cheek. "It smells good, mom," he said happily as he fixed himself a plate. Sitting down next to his sister, he began to eat as she leaned down to pet her fur ball. "Geez, can't you leave that cat alone at least while we're eating?" he asked, earning an eye-roll from his sister as they continued eating. He watched her finish and put her dishes in the sink before heading out, and it wasn't long before he followed suit.

As he carried his things out to his truck, their mother followed and stood on the doorstep. Placing his things in the bed, he climbed into the driver's seat and started the vehicle. He rolled their windows down, and each said goodbye after he returned the look Skylar was giving him. "Love you," he called out before rolling the windows up and pulling out of the driveway, on their way to camp. When he pulled up, his sister jumped out, though he was a bit slower. However, he managed to stay near her as he grabbed his suitcases, slinging his guitar case on his back and following Sky over to the sign-in area. "I'm Nathaniel Jake Anderson. I'm eighteen," he told the woman before taking a step back and looking over at Skylar, noticing her looking around. "I highly doubt anyone is here yet," he said softly as he quietly watched her to make sure she wasn't getting nervous or wasn't going to bail at the last minute.

Gus Beecher

The Jester

“August Francis Beecher! You better get your behind down here, boy!” The voice had a rich, southern drawl – Maddie’s Mississippi, as Gus like to call it – and was, as per usual, laced with a tone even an army general wouldn’t want to cross.

Gus raced out of his room, hopping down the hall as he tugged on his Converses. He had his sunglasses pushed up on top of his scruffy brown hair, his backpacking pack slung over one shoulder, and only his head and one arm inside his hoodie – Wait. He skidded to halt. Did he have his sunglasses? He searched his body for a second. Oh, right.

By the time he reached the stairs, his shoes, hoodie and pack were securely (and miraculously) in place. With a little jump, he hopped onto the railing and slid down to the first floor. As his feet hit the ground, his sunglasses fell onto his face, only a touch low on his nose. It was a near perfect ten landing. Before he had the chance to congratulate himself, however, a sharp
smack struck him on the back of the head.

“Ow!” he said. He spun around and was greeted by the unsmiling face of a husky black woman in a frilly cooking apron.

“August Beecher,” she growled. There it was again: Maddie’s Mississippi. “You are not a child anymore. And that there railin’ is not a slide.”

“I beg to differ on both counts.” Gus started grinning before he finished the sentence. He laughed as he dodged another slap. “All right, all right. I promise not to slide down the banister for the rest of the summer.” He drew a cross over his chest.

Maddie’s scowl deepened. “Only because you’ll be out of the house for the rest of the summer. Thank the Lord.”

“Oh, you know you’ll miss me, Mads.” He threw an arm around her. “I’m your favorite Beecher, after all.”

She huffed and shrugged off his arm. “Do you hear that music right now?”

Gus made a show of straining to hear something in the distance. It was faint, but he could hear it just fine. A classical piece played on the low hum of a cello’s strings wafted in from the backyard. It was pitch perfect and spot on time.

“She’s been practicing for the past half hour,” Maddie said. “And she’s already finished her summer reading list. And she helped me bake some blueberry muffins yesterday. I think it’s clear which Beecher is my favorite, sugar.”

Gus rolled his eyes, but truth be told, if he were Maddie, his sister would be his favorite, too.

“Now you best skedaddle, young man, else you’ll miss your bus.”

“You’re absolutely right, Mads. Wouldn’t want to miss my bus to camp.” He winked at her. Maddie didn’t know about his plans for the next six weeks. If she had, he’d have been under lock and key upstairs drilling math problems and reading Melville and Steinbeck. Pass.

He reached for the front door but just as he opened it, Maddie “ahem-ed” behind him.

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” she asked.

He turned toward her, now smiling in earnest, and gave her an enormous hug and a peck on the cheek. When he pulled away, Maddie was sniffling and wiping her eyes. “Did you say goodbye to your sister?” she asked.

Gus nodded.

“Good. And your parents? Have you called them?”

“Yesterday.” It was a quick talk, but it sounded like they had reached Saint Lucia all right.

“Good… good. You behave now, you hear? And have fun.”

Gus gave her one last beaming smile before he closed the front door behind him.
“Oh, I will.”

“Name?” asked the counselor at the check-in counter.

“Beecher comma August,” Gus said.

The check-in lady glared at him. “Age?”

“Eighteen years young.” His stomach growled. “Hey, have they put out lunch yet?”

“It’s ten-thirty in the morning…” replied the counselor.

“Your point?” asked Gus.

Neon Trees' Everybody Talks three part harmony intro awoke Cassidy from her dreamless sleep. She stretched as she hummed along to the upbeat song, a wide, sleepy smile on her lips. She got up and grabbed her phone, feet hanging off of the edge of her bed as she checked instagram, twitter, and the rest of her social media. When she was finished, Alex Clare's Too Close played. Her smiled widened as she went into the restroom that connected her and Leon's room and began to sing rather loudly as she began her morning routine. She heard a thump coming from the door that opened up to Leon's room and sang louder, unable to hide her laugh as she did so. Cassidy was a morning person. Leon on the other hand, was not. When Cass finished her morning routine, she exited the bathroom and got dressed in overall shorts, a white crop top, and her white keds. After putting her hair in a ponytail and grabbing some faded baby blue sunglasses, Cass gave herself one last check in the mirror. "Hmm...." Cassidy pulled her hair free, letting her brown locks tumble down to just below mid-back. With a smile and a nod, she grabbed her bags and headed downstairs.

"Are you gonna eat,
mija?" Her mother asked. Cassidy put her bags down and walked into the kitchen where SPAM, eggs, biscuits and coffee were laid across the counter and stove. She gave her mother a kiss on the cheek before nodding. "Yes ma'am," she said as she piled a paper plate with the yummy breakfast foods. She ate quickly, but left her biscuit and coffee to go put her bags in the truck. After finishing her task, she saw Leon kissing their mother goodbye and followed suit, grabbing her jelly and butter filled biscuit along with her coffee (which her mother had put in a styrofoam cup for her) and headed outside, somehow beating Leon to the driver's seat without spilling anything. He cracked some joke about her not being able to reach the pedals, but Cass just rolled her eyes and mocked him silently before taking off towards the camp.

After about two hours, the siblings finally arrived. Cassidy could hardly contain her excitement. She didn't have to spend her last summer here in this rinky-dink camp. When she reached the sign in, Cassidy reported in without even looking at the lady. "Cassidy Charlotte Evans, eighteen".

*White Keds instead of shoes in picture

"FEEL. LIKE. I. AM. JUST. TOO. CLOSE. TO LOVE YOUUUU"

One of Leon's eyes cracked open at the sound of his sister's voice echoing off the walls of the bathroom they shared. He groaned and pulled a pillow over his messy head of hair, hoping to drown out the noise. When that didn't work, he flung the pillow at the bathroom door. God how he hated having a bathroom that connected their rooms. It was all fun and games when they were smaller, but now? It was hell on Earth. Leon stretched and glared at the blue door that protected his sister from his early morning grouchiness for a good while before getting up and gathering his clothes for the day. When Cassidy was finally out, Leon darted in and got ready rather quickly. He stilled had to pack, after all.

Finished with packing, Leon made his way downstairs where his mother had breakfast prepared. He stock the eggs and SPAM between two pieces of biscuit and finished his meal in less than three bites. "Morning, momma," he said around a mouthful of biscuit as he gave her a kiss. She frowned at his lack of manners, but Leon eased her up with a playful smile. "Breakfast was wonderful. Dad's still asleep?" Leon's mother nodded and took another sip of her coffee. "You guys better get going, Leon. You'll miss sign ins." Leon almost rolled his eyes,
almost. "Yes ma'am." With a smirk like he'd just escaped a deadly trap, Leon gave his mother a kiss on the cheek goodbye and grabbed himself a coffee before taking his bags outside. He frowned when Cass beat him to the driver's seat and grumbled about how she probably could even reach the pedals. Leon was greeted with silent mockery and ugly faces.

After a grueling two hours, they had finally made it. Leon nearly flung himself from the truck, causing an eye roll from his sister. He gave her a smirk and unloaded their things. He shook his head as Cassidy took off, the shaking failing to cease when she gave her information to the lady. "Rude, much?" He mumbled from behind her, loud enough so she could hear, but low enough that it was only Cass that did. When it was his turn, he gave the woman a smile. "Leon Alaric Evans. Age eighteen."

Garnet jumped at the sound of the alarm clock on her phone go off. She groaned turning it off and sighed getting out of bed walking to her bathroom. Entering she took a long hot shower to get the energy flowing through her body while her music was playing. After her hour long shower she hopped out and wrapped a towel around her body the proceeded to work on her hair. Drying it off and adding leave in conditioner in it she styled her blue ombre hair and walked to her closet opening the double doors to find something towear. She looked through racks and racks of her clothes before settling for something that looked nice. Shrugging she threw it on the bed and removed the towel from her body starting to change into he clothes. After she finished she grabbed her duffle bags and headed downstairs to where her parents we're waiting. Upon entering the kitchen she witnessed them making out on the counter and rolled her eyes. "Oh no it's totally fine to make out in the kitchen for eveyone in the house to see..." She said sarcastically wanting them to hear her. Her father broke the kiss and looked right at his daughter "I don't see you paying the bills for this house..." He told her before kissing his husband once more and sits down for breakfast. Garnets other siblings were still asleep but she was the only one who had to wake up early. They all sat eating anf talking before her dad checked the time "Oh it's time to go,finish eating so we can take you to the camp." She reall did not want to go to the stupid camp but the good thing was she was actually going to hawaii with her friends and she didn't tell her parents about it at all. Finishing her food she stood up and washed her dishes and made sure she had everything before her father loaded up her bags into the truck.

~Arrival~

Garnet got out the truck and looked at the camp she has been coming to ever since she was little, this where she made friendships and enemies but mostly friendships. Hearing her parents talk in the background she walked over to them and smiled.
"Well...here we are again..."

"Yeah" Both her parents said smiling "Have a great time at camp again sweetheart" Her dad said as he gave her a big hug. Garnet hugged back tight before going over to her father and doing the same "I'm gonna miss you guys...I love you so much..." She released her father and picked up her bags watching them hop in the truck. Giving them a fake smile and wave she watch the black truck drive out of sight before sighing and walking over to the lady at the table.

"Garnet Kristoff...18...and yes I know the drill..." She idn't say hello or anything to the lady

"You know where everything is I don't have to tell you..." The lady knew Garnet and knew what she was like. She handed her her cabin number and yelled next.

Grabbing her bags she walked into the camp then looked around for her friends and right on cue she saw both Leon and Cassidy then smiled. Quickly running over to the both of them she dropped her bags and hopped on Leons back then covered his sight to surprise him.
"Guess who?~" She asked him in a very high and girly voice hoping he guesses wrong.

Indira Delacroix

"WAAAAKKKEE UPPPP INNNDDIIIEE!!!!", a shrill voice belted from right next to her ear, causing the pink haired girl to jump out of bed in a ungrateful flop and land face first. Mumbling, " Thank god we have carpet", Indira turned her head to the side in order to give her sister a burning glare, " What..the hell....was that for ?! I'm going to kill you as soon as I get up, Max". Max placed her small brown hands at her hips and rolled her eyes, gently prodding Indie with her foot a couple times before resorting to a sharp kick in the ribs. " Mama says you have to get up now. She also said that she's so happy for her-", Max snickered, "-little camper to go out into the world. I personally feel pretty friggin bad for you but who knows ? You may have the best time of your liiiiiffffeee !". Singing the last part in a mocking falsetto, Max glided out of the room. Indira still was laying down on the bubblegum pink carpet, rubbing her ribs and trying not to scream. She already couldn't wait to leave that horrid little pit. Grunting loudly, Indira peeled herself off the floor and stretched a bit before leaning back into a backbend and then doing the splits. After her impromptu gymnastics session, she walked over to her stereo and began playing Here by Alessia Cara. Ignoring the shouts of her family to turn it off, Indie went to the conjoined bathroom and got in the shower. When the pink haired girl was done scrubbing and rinsing her pale skin, she hopped out of the shower, nearly slipping on the way, went through her daily rituals, and started thinking of something to wear.

" Ooh, this is cute !" , " Wow, I didn't even know I had these !" , " Erm- I think that's Mama's. Indira buzzed around the room, trying to find a slightly less than perfect outfit. Giving herself a over exaggerated wink in the mirror, she turned off the music and bounded downstairs. Let's just talk about the Delacroix family for one moment. The mother is a businesswoman who was born a woman. The other mother, who is now known as Mama, was born as a man. Max Delacroix is fourteen year old Nigerian girl with a attitude problem. Aries Delacroix is gay Hispanic boy who has more tattos then a human should be able to have. Indira Delacriox is a pink haired weirdo. They're practically the Brady Bunch. Okay, back to the moment at hand. Aries was sitting cross legged on top of the counter cooking pancakes, Max was biting into a syrup drenched waffle while scrolling through something on her phone, Mama was stacking French toast on a plate and Mom sat across from Max, furiously clacking on a laptop and swearing under her breath. A mismatched chorus of "Good mornings" and " sup's " greeted Indie with a warm, teasing affection. Mama handed the plate to Indira, kissing her one the cheek as she did so. " Oh, Indira ! I remember the day you were born, a stormy day on-", the girl interrupted her mama. " Mama...chill....its summer camp. Aren't you the one that signed me up in the first place ?". Softly conking her child on the head, Mama directed her to the table and told her to eat while she, " fixed that cotton candy birds nest you call hair". Braiding her pink waves back into two tight braids while Indie shoveled French Toast in her mouth, th dynamic of the kitchen was was like it usually was.

The whole family piled in the black Escalde with Aries driving like a drunken speed racer. Specifically to annoy Indie, he started playing some CD from Lizzie Mguire movie and everybody started singing along. Finally, they arrived at camp and he turned the damned music off. As the family stepped out of the car, Indira noticed the dirty, disgusted and annoyed looks several campers and counselor threw at them and sighed. Some people never change. Getting everything out, Indie hugged and kissed everybody goodbye, not caring about Max's annoyed pout as she got a particularly sloppy kiss on the cheek. The Delacroix's were a close knit family, they've been through a lot together and didn't like leaving one another. " Bye mom ! I love you and make sure to not to work yourself too hard. Bye Mama ! I love you and make sure not to let mom work herself too hard. Bye Aries ! I love you and don't you dare plaster my room with Hillary Duff merch again....I will cut you. Bye Max ! I love you and sleep with one eye open because I am getting you back". When everything was said and done, Indie went to check in.

Leaning seductively across the table with her eyebrows arched over the pink, heart sunglasses, she gave a small half smile.
" Delacroix.....Indira Delacroix. I am a seventeen year old woman, thank you very much". The woman rolled her eyes, all too used to Indie's antics and waved her off. From there, the next point on Indie's mental checklist was to find someone to talk too.

Everest Holly Armstrong

An obnoxious beeping joined by a high pitched bark are to blame for Everest's awakening. Her eyes slowly slid open and wandered the room until spotting the small yet fuzzy creature scratching at her door frame. The young husky and German shepherd mix was bouncing around, a sure sign of his urgency to pee. It was unfortunate that the clock read 4am and there would be no way in hell to get back to sleep now. "Really, Spade..?" She grumbled in annoyance but got to her feet nevertheless. The pup was even happier now having his owner's attention and gratefully licked at her bare toes as he crossed the room beside her occasionally getting in the way and nearly causing her to fall. Looking down at the spunky pup her father had so eagerly taken in off the streets, Ev has to smile. The dog was definitely aggravating at times but he was a cutie and very good as far as puppies are involved.

Sighing, Everest finally made it to her door and reached out until grabbing hold of the handle. Pulling it open and quickly tossing up an arm to shield her eyes from the harsh porch light, Spade paid no attention and soon left from under the white haired girl's feet. She shut the door after the puppy had gone and turned to look around. No more water before bed... Everest wiped her eyes for any 'sleep' left there then went back to her bed off in the corner of the crammed space she calls a home. It wasn't an actual house though..more like someone's garage. Checking the time again in hopes that it wasn't really as early as she had originally thought, her hopes for something different are crushed. This is not how I wanted today to go. Shaking her head, the beeping from a minute ago begins to go off again. It was her phone that was causing the sound so without much hesitation she picked the thing up. She never could be too certain if it were Cassidy or Rose texting at such a late hour; or early. Hell, it could possibly end up being Indie. Everest's mind ignored that idea although somewhat wishing it were true. At least this summer she would get to hang out with her ex and best friend. And the other two as well! God, she loved her friends.

Her 'happy' thoughts kind of drifted away as she read the contact that kept popping up on her screen and clutched the phone a bit angrily. Silencing it completely, the teen tosses the object onto her bed knowing her father was only trying to call to make sure that everything was done and ready even though he was in England with his new girlfriend instead of being home as usual. It wasn't a big deal, however.

Groaning at the sound of Spade scratching at the door to be let back in, she slowly goes back across the room and lets the canine enter. Frowning down at the now wide awake creature, it is clear that no sleep will be achieved from here on out. At last her brain came up with the thoughts of getting a shower and possibly leaving early. Stupid. Grunting in an unladylike fashion, Eve scratches her neck while wandering into the 'kitchen'. Note that everything she owns, excluding the bathroom which is separated by a wall and curtain, is all in one big room. It worked well enough for now and at least her dad didn't have to know about any of this seeing as he rarely came home anymore and yet still pushed her to go to this kids camp. Nineteen years old and she was still forced to go and play with the other little ones. It was a stupid decision to begin with but even more so now.

It would be another few painfully long hours later before the sun would rise and Everest could make her decision to leave home and be on her way. Spade was the saddest of them and it broke Ev's heart having the leave the pup. His eyes showed his confusion but after being given a couple doggy chews Everest is given enough time to escape. Her neighbor would be taking good care of him so she wouldn't have to worry too much. By 7:43am everything was ready to go. Her backpack was crammed full of her clothes and another less full duffel bag was tied to the back seat of her motor vehicle. A wide grin was displayed on her lips as she pulled down the drive way and could see the lights in her neighbor's house start to flick on. Chuckling, she turned up the radio to where she could barely hear the engine itself and roared down the street heading for camp. Upon arrival she jumped off her bike, sent a quick text to her father then grabbed her belongings. Just a few more hours now before their epic escape would take place. Somehow she had managed to get there somewhat early, Her eyes were able to pick out of the crowd a couple familiar faces but she doesn't go over to greet them. She would much preferred to get signed in and then be allowed to go sleep in her usual place. Too bad that wouldn't be an option either.

Jabari sat in his parents car, staring out the window. The trees were going by and it seemed to Jaba like it was never going to end. He didn't like the idea of going back to summer camp; the loud, stinky kids, the unbearable heat, and the rude supervisors always got under his skin. His parents were no exception: they didn't want him to be lazy and become stupid like his friends (their words, not his). They wanted him to have a good work ethic, which was something Jaba already had. He didn't care about summer camp and he hoped no one else did either. He was thinking about the trip his friend Aurora was talking about. I don't know about this, he thought. I really don't want to get caught. He thought about the punishment he would receive if the plan failed and his parents found out about it. It made him cringe and sent a shiver down his spine.

Jaba shuffled in his seat so he sat straight up and ahead. He put the headphones in his ears and put on "Ave Cesaria" by Stromae. Les effluves de rhum dans ta voix, me font tourner la tête. Tu me fais danser du bout des doigts, comme tes cigarettes (The waves of rum in your voice makes my head spin. You make me dance at your fingertips, just like your cigarettes). He loved that song and the artist. It always made him feel relaxed and not so tense like he usually was. He needed that song because it was going to be a long summer. He was getting into the beat of the song when his mother spoke out. "Avez-vous tout? (Do you have everything?)" He nodded and replied with a 'yes ma'am'. His parents rarely spoke English at home, and he was no exception. However, his English was much better than theirs. His father, who was driving, began to speak. "Ne pas entrer dans le moindre problème (Don't get into any trouble)." "I won't, Father." Jaba replied. He knew they cared about him and loved him, but it felt to Jaba like it was too much. He felt like he was being given orders from bosses. The car fell silent once more as it made its way towards summer camp.

Jaba quickly got out of the car and waved 'goodbye' and made his way to the desks out front. The sound of screaming children and the feel of hot, dusty air on his skin irritated him. He pulled his suitcase beside him and stood at the desk. The lady at the desk gave Jabari a smile and asked him who he was. "Jabari Onyeka Mensah. Eighteen." His accent was not to heavy, but not too light. The lady nodded and gave him his cabin key. He moved off to the side and looked around for people to talk to.

Rose Le Coeur and Zayn Slater

Rose smiled as she woke up. Today was the first day of camp, and she had to admit she was a little excited. She got out of bed, and went on a jog around the neighborhood then got into the shower. Once she got out of the shower she decided to pick out her outfit for the day.

9930b79e975ee5bd83ba25376c38c247.jpg

She smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. She was satisfied with her outfit. She was wearing a white tank top with a nice bow in the front. A pleated pink skirt, with white polka dots. Then to finish the outfit off, white heels and a white clutch.

Since her outfit was all ready she ready to move on to her hair. She put her hair up in a pony tail, tied up with a pink bow. Next was to finish her make up. She put on some blush, some eye shadow, and some lipstick. She looked great.

"Wilfred! Bring the jet around! Im ready to go! Alfred come get my bags!" She called out.

A man came and got all 10 of her bags and brought them downstairs, putting them in the back of the jet. Rose walked out of her room, downstairs and outside to the run way where she saw a familliar face.

"Are you ready to go Rose?!" Zayn called out jumping up and down.

Zayn was ready to leave for camp. He was ready for the plane ride too, he had Foo Foo and a coloring book. He got on to the plane and sat down in one of the comfy white chairs.

His morning had been alot of fun too. He woke up, ate breakfast, got showered, and drove here to meet Rose. Zayn looked very nice.

He was wearing a simple paid button up, yellow pants rolled up, and some white vans. Rose boarded the plane and sat in the chair next to Zayns. They both slowly fell asleep.

"Hello Lady Rose and Mister Zayn. We have arrived at summer camp."

Zayn practically broke out of the plane he was so excited. He ran out of the plane to see a var waiting. Since the plane couldn't land in the summer camp. He jumped in and buckled up.

"Come on Rose! Lets go!" he hollered.

Rose sighed, waking up and looked to the back of the plane. The limo was already filled with their luggage. She nodded getting off of the plane and getting in the limo. The limo took off and about 15 minutes later they arrived at camp. The two got out and went to the woman in the front.

"Name?" the woman said looking at them.

"My name is Zayn Atticus Slater. I am 18." He said sweetly smiling at her.

"My name is Briar Rose Le Coeur. Im Eighteen." She said smiling.

The women gave them both cabin keys. They smiled, walking over to all their luggage.

"Where should we put this? I guess someone else will deal with it or something. Lets go talk!" he said jumping up and down.

Rose grabbed Zayns hand and dragged him over to Gus.

"Hi there! My name is Briar Rose. But you can call me Rose or Briar, either ones fine. Oh and this is Zayn. What's your name?" she said, smiling beautifully.

Evan Olivas

An alarm clock sounded in a lonely boy's room. The high-pitched wailing slammed into Evan's eardrums and shook him awake. With a floppy hand making it's way to the side of the bed and slamming the off button, a blanket of silence covered the room again. He waited, wrapped in the silence, the peaceful serenity of his still room for as long as he could. Groaning, he rolled off the bed and onto the floor, pushing up onto his feet. Another morning, another day.

Evan walked groggily downstairs in his pajamas and made himself breakfast. He watched himself move with glazed eyes, getting the bowl and pouring the cereal. The fridge hit him with a blast of cool air which chilled his bare body and woke him up more. He grabbed the milk, poured it into his cereal and began eating. A monotone breakfast for a monotone life. As his cereal disappeared into his stomach, he thought about the email he had gotten from the girl at camp, Aurora. Was this actually going to happen? How many people were going there? He had been watching everybody at the camp for a while, but hadn't made any contact with them. He only really talked to Aurora a few times, and it was nothing more than short exchanges.

Why had he decided to go?

His mind lingered on this while he put his bowl in the dishwasher and took a shower. He stood for a while, thinking about everything, letting the water flow over his body. The eerie quiet of the entire house bothered Evan. He knew what it meant, but he tried to convince himself otherwise.
They're here, maybe they just decided not to talk, his mind reassured. Although he knew he was wrong, he tried his best to believe it. After his shower, he brushed his teeth and got ready. Luckily, he was smart enough to pack his bags the other night. Looking outside the window, he squinted as the harsh sunlight scorched his eyes. He got on a black t-shirt and jeans – something inconspicuous, something plain, simple and easy.

As he headed for the stairway, he poked his head into his parents' room. There was nobody there and the bedsheets were in a messy bundle in the middle of the mattress. His heart sank a little, but he refused to give up. Flying downstairs, he headed towards the door and checked his faint reflection in the glass one last time, a sad smile creeping onto his lips.
Same piece of shit as always, he complimented himself. His parents were sitting in their favorite chairs behind him. They must've been. One car was missing in the driveway, but they were still there. "Mom, dad, I'm leaving," he said, slowly turning around, hoping for the best.

"Bye, mom. Bye, dad. I love you," he said to the two empty chairs, tears forming in his eyes. He slammed his right fist into the wall, screaming as the tears began to flow.
Why? He looked up to the ceiling, imagining Heaven watching him from above and whispered, "Why are they never here?" He walked, defeated, over to the kitchen table and found a note on top of the newspaper pile.

Evan,

We're leaving. You can borrow mom's car for the camp, so be grateful.

~From Mom and Dad

Evan clutched the car keys attached to the note angrily, nails turning white. He stormed out of the door, slamming it shut, and activated the car.

---

Evan walked up to the front with his head down, watching his feet hit the ground one after the other. "Evan Olivas, 18," he mumbled. The woman looked at him and her eyes wandered over to his right hand.

"Oh my gosh, honey, your hand is swollen and cut. here, hold on, let me get some ice and Band-Aids–"

"It's okay, don't." Quickly making way to his cabin, he plopped his stuff on his bed and took out his headphones. He found a shady tree and leaned against the trunk, putting his headphones in, and began watching the other teenagers arrive and talk to each other.

Zayn Atticus Slater

Zayn wriggled from Rose's grasp and skipped over to a tree. He sat down infront of Evan and tilted his head to the left.

"Hi! My names Zayn!" he said smiling.

Zayn looked down to see the males, hand all cut up.

"Hey... You got a owee... You need a band aid... How did that happen?" Zayn said frowning a little.

He didn't like it when people were hurt. He hugged Foo Foo and looked at Zayn with sad eyes.

"Do you want a hug? Or to color in my coloring book?" He asked trying to find anyway to help Evan.

Zayn's eyes scanned over the boy. He was handsome but he looked sad. He looked like he had gone through alot in his life. He knew that he couldn't ask but he was very curious.

"Come on... Dont look so sad... Be glad! Theres so much to smile about. You get to meet new people, you're at summer camp. Can you smile for me?"

He smiled at the male, hoping to make him smile.

Olivia Jade Matthews

Olivia's eyelids fluttered open, revealing nothing but cool darkness. Outside, waves could be heard rushing whispered goodbyes to the sands of the beach as the tide pulls back and the water recedes. The sun hadn't risen yet, but Olivia could never sleep past dawn anyway. Rolling out of soft linen sheets Liv sat at the edge of her bed, toes touching the cool wooden floors. Pieces of sand that had been clinging since the last trip to the beach prickled the bottom Olivia's feet as she rubbed what remained of sleep from her eyes.

Stretching and standing on her long legs Olivia let out a sigh. Today was the day that she had been waiting for. Today she would be returning to that dreaded camp that her father forced her to attend each summer. However, this time was different. Butterflies of nervous excitement replaced the usual moths of dread flying about in her stomach. Something about disobeying her father gave Olivia a certain satisfaction that she couldn't explain, if he couldn't even care to say goodbye before I leave for this camp that he was so adamant about me going to, why should it matter if I don't even go? Olivia thought to herself as she opened the light wooden door leading out to her second story balcony overlooking the ocean. This escape was to be the highlight of Olivia's summer with her closest friends, it was going to be something fun for once.

Liv's body began to fully become awake as it breathed in the salty morning air. She spent most all of her time at the ocean, something about the sun's scorching rays, the bitter water, the soft sand, everything. It made her feel alive, there was no other place that she would rather be. Olivia turned to walk back inside her room, the sun would be up within the hour so she had to hurry. Changing into her bathing suit bottoms and wet suit-like top Liv grabbed the towel hanging on her bathroom door from yesterday before exiting her room.

Mornings like these were the reason that Liv loved the sea so much. Sparks of the new day peeking in between clouds in glowing shades of reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and blues. The mid-day heat arriving slowly, riding the soft breezes teasing with what is to come. As far as Liv was concerned, nothing could be more perfect.

The water was slightly cold as Olivia tip-toed her way in. Diving under the waves Olivia became surrounded by silence only interrupted by the crashing waves. Floating on her back, Oliviea stayed in the water until the sun had risen. The waters instantly warming around her as the sea life began waking up with the rising sun.

“Ollie!” Someone shouted from the distance, capturing Olivia’s wondering mind’s attention. She shifted her weight from being on her back to treading water upright as she turned to face her house. A woman on one of the many balconies stood with her hands cupped around her mouth. “Ollie!” the woman yelled once more, “Charles leaves in 30 minutes for your camp!” Olivia gave a wave towards the house in acknowledgment.

Olivia began paddling back to the shore and was back in her spacious house before five minutes had passed. “I’ve made your favorite breakfast, chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, for this joyous occasion.” The woman, Margret whom was the family’s house keeper since before Olivia was born, spoke as Liv walked through the glass doors to the kitchen. Olivia smiled happily as she gave Margret a hug, “Thank you! You are honestly the best!” Olivia clapped her hands as she walked to the plate on the counter and began eating. “You know your father wanted to be here today,” Margret began speaking as Olivia cut her off with rolling eyes and a raised eyebrow. The girl swallowed down the last bites of pancake before replying, “You and I both know that he probably didn’t even remember. He is only sending me to this camp because he doesn’t know what to do with me.”

After eating, Olivia thanked Margret and left to return to her room to get ready and grab her bags. Once in her room Liv took off her damp swimsuit and hung it to dry along with the towel then grabbed the clothes that she had set out for herself the night before as she packed. Olivia put on a long knit top and a pair of faded shorts. She did her makeup very naturally as always and left her hair to dry into their natural beachy waves.

Liv began dragging her suitcase and duffle bag down the stairs as Charles the family’s driver honked his horn from the drive. Opening the tall front door Olivia waved and smiled at the very tall and buff Charles whom had gotten out of the car to take Liv’s bags from her. Olivia turned to say goodbye to Margret. “I’ll see you soon,” before she could finished the sentence the small woman had gathered the girl into a tight squeeze. “Be careful Ollie-bug, don’t let that camp bring you down too much. Who knows maybe you and your friends will find a way to make it fun this year.” Margret spoke to which Olivia replied, “I’m sure we will M.” Wriggling out of the hug Olivia blew a kiss as she hopped down the front steps to the black car door being held open by Charles. “Thank you.” The girl said as she slid into the seat.

Two and a half hours later the car rolled into the gates of the camp. Olivia took a deep breath watching all of the kids hugging tearful parents before leaving them for new adventures. Oliiva immediately began looking around for any of her own friends as the car came to a stop. “Here we are Ollie,” Charles spoke quietly, “Go have some fun. Oh and your father left you something, I put the envelope in the small pouch of your suitcase.” Olivia smiled gratefully, “Thank you, I’ll see you soon!” And with her parting words Olivia hopped out of the shiny black car and walked around to retrieve her bags from the back. Liv made her way to the check in table. “Olivia Matthews.”

Persephone woke up early that morning, 3 AM to be exact. She was frantically running about the house in order to pack her bag and do whatever had to be done. As she was placing her belongings in her bags, she half cursed at Sebastian for coercing her to pranking their high school principal and half cursed at herself for allowing him to do so. They had spent so much time preparing the prank that by the time they'd finished, it was 12 AM and she was too exhausted to pack her things. At least it was fun though, she thought with a snicker as she zipped her suitcase.

"Are you ready?" came Persephone's father. The girl looked at her black iPhone, her metallic nails tapping against the material. It was 5 AM on the dot, which meant they had an hour before they had to leave. "Yeah, let me wake Bash up." She replied with a devious smile. Her father shook his head and chuckled as he began turning around. "Alright, I'll be downstairs watching reruns of WWE."

Persephone scrunched her nose at his reply. WWE was his favorite TV show. She'd tried telling him that all the fighting was merely and act but he said he didn't care. "It's good either way." He had told her. With a sigh, Persephone walked down the hall to their guest room and opened the door quietly. Sebastian was sound asleep, an arm propped under his head as he laid on his sighed. The boy looked almost angelic.
Not for long.

"WAKE UP!" She exclaimed loudly, banging on the bedroom door. She heard Sebastian curse as he let out a yelp and fell off the bed. Persephone couldn't help but laugh as he got up, a scowl on his face and a red mark on his cheek from where he hit the ground. "We have an hour before we go so hurry up." She ordered with a smirk, leaving the boy to get ready.

Not 45 minutes later, Sebastian was walking down the stairs and he still looked angry from before. Then again, he always looked angry. They left right after. As the scenes passed by, she felt herself sadden. It was her last year at camp and while she didn't particularly enjoy it, it was her life every summer for the passed 8 years.

"Where here." came her father's unwelcoming voice. Persephone turned to the older man and smiled, saying thank you. She and Sebastian grabbed their things and began the short walk to the sign-in center. The dark-haired girl noticed a few familiar faces as she walked by but she simply nodded in acknowledgement.

"Rose Nolands." She told the woman behind the sign-in desk. The woman looked through her papers and few times before frowning. "I'm sorry... we don't have a Rose Nolands." The woman replied, earning a scowl from Persephone. "Per..sephone Rose Nolands... Seventeen." She then said, her lips in a tight line. She absolutely hated her name and she clearly told the camp director to just make it Rose Nolands last year. Clearly, the director didn't listen. "Ah!" The woman said. "Alright, you may going in!"

Persephone was still scowling and Sebastian snickering behind her didn't laugh. She ignored the boy because if anyone knew how much she despised her name, it was him. Her frown was soon lifted when she saw a mop of pink hair walking in front of her. She left her bags with Sebastian, who grunted in response, and made her way towards the girl.

"I see you're as wild as ever." Persephone grinned, taking one of Indira's bags.

Sebastian woke up with a bang, literally. His childhood friend, Rose, decided to come in and wake him up like the world was ending, which he wouldn't have cared for. "Damn it Rose..." he cursed under his breath as he slowly brought himself to his feet. His body was still heavy from sleep and his cheek was now burning slightly from its contact with the floor. He listened to his best friend talk and nodded in understanding. Even if they only had an hour, it wouldn't take long for him to get ready. Unlike Rose, Sebastian wasn't a procrastinator.

The tall male was soon walking down the stairs of Persephone's home and was greeted by the sight of her and her dad chatting away in the living room. He gave them a wave, or at least one he could muster because of the bags he carried, and made his way to the kitchen. After he grabbed a bite to eat, he was ready, and the three set off for Sebastian's last year of camp.

Sebastian secretly enjoyed camp. He may seem negative all the time, but that was because he had a difficult time showing his emotions. There were a few people who could actually read Sebastian's stoic expressions to know he was having a good time at camp.

The male and his friend were standing in line to sign in. He couldn't stop snickering when Persephone was forced to say her full name because they didn't recognize her nickname. Of course, she responded by ignoring him and throwing her luggage onto him.

With a sigh he forced out, "Sebastian Beringar. Eighteen."

Watching the woman tick off Aurora's name on the clipboard, she nodded her head and motioned for her to walk through. Aurora smiled and headed straight towards the outdoor gathering; where she'd found out what cabin she'd be in and who she'd be sleeping with. Unfortunately, they didn't get to make those decisions - which just made coming to Summer camp even worse. Imagine being put in a cabin full off little kids? Blegh. Yes, Aurora loved little kids, but spending six weeks with them was a hell no for her. Rolling her suitcase behind her, she looked around and already saw that loads of people were surrounding the bulletin board with a list of names and cabin numbers.
"God dammit," She muttered under her breath and stopped in her tracks, setting her duffle bag on top of her suitcase. And this is why she always came early. "Alright kids, coming through!" And with that, Aurora headed towards the crowd of teenagers, shoving and pushing to get to the front.

Finally reaching the front, she let out a small exaggerated sigh, puffing a strand of her out of her face. Using her time wisely, she started her search for her name around the letter 'W' area for 'Walker'. She ran her finger down the list of names till she stopped to see her name and sliding it to the right, she grinned.
"Cabin 8!" She called out, to no one in particular but she was glad that she got to the front of the bulletin board with no hassle. That was till people start shoving her against it causing her face to squash up against the wood, "Hey hey! Slow down there!" She called out but instead it came out muffled as she tried to escape the hoard of excited kids.

"God, never again." Aurora grumbled to herself, making her way inside cabin 8 and over to the girls side. Looking around to see if anyone was already inside, she sighed in relief. Finally, some peace and quiet. Although no one was allowed to be in the cabin's yet, she needed to think to organize for the trip. "Alright..." she checked the time on her watch, "There's still about five hours until the bonfire which means I have exactly three hours to get everything in order." she told herself, setting her duffle bag on the bed. Thinking for a moment, Aurora grabbed her phone from the back pocket of her shorts. Time to see what and where everyone is up to.

Guys, text me if you're here or on your way.

Setting her phone down next to her duffle bag, she opened the zip and pulled out a book that had the words written 'The Great Big Plan' on the book. She sat down on the bed and began to make sure that everything was in order - which meant the coach was still coming, their flights were all booked and that she had the keys to the summer house they would be staying at.

"Alright kids! Gather around!" The camp direction called out, catching many of the kids attention. "Welcome to Camp Greenhouse! I bet you've all been waiting for this summer to come along just so you could come here!" She cheered with the biggest smile on her face that you'll probably ever see. "It's 2015 and a fresh new start! Who's excited to get into those activities and get dirty?" A couple cheers from the little kids were heard when she yelled this. All the happiness died down when she suddenly yelled, "Now get your backsides down and give me twenty!" It went silent for a moment till she burst into laughter, "Just kidding, y'all!" The audience, mainly the kids, erupted into laughter. The next thirty minutes or so was just her explaining about what sort of activities would be going on, who were in which cabin and all that stuff.

Gus Beecher

The Jester

“Hi there! My name is Briar Rose. But you can call me Rose or Briar, either one’s fine. Oh and this is Zayn. What’s your name?”

Gus looked over his shoulder. More campers had lined up at the check-in desk. Others were shuffling out of the building, en route to their assigned cabins. No one was directly behind him or even facing his general direction. So this girl was talking to him? Huh. Typically, girls who looked like Briar Rose – the pretty, preppy, popular type – ignored him. He was too scrawny, too dorky and too silly to be worth their notice. But here was one of those girls now, talking to him. That was the magic of summer: social boundaries disappeared. Sometimes, at least.

He turned back to face the two teens in front of him. They looked about his age, roughly eighteen, but he’d never seen them at Camp Greenhouse before. Judging by their colorful outfits, they’d probably never been seen at any summer camp before. Were they in the right place?

“Nice to meet you both. I’m Gus. This your first summer here?”

Before he received an answer, a stream of lukewarm water hit him on the back of his head, which was accompanied by a chorus of giggles. Gus whipped around, flinging droplets of water from the ends of his hair. The culprits, a group of soon-to-be middle schoolers, bolted out the door and scattered. A wide grin broke over Gus’s face. Game on.

He swung his backpack off his shoulder and pulled out several pre-filled water pistols (he could never be too prepared for a water fight) and offered one each to Briar Rose and Zayn.

“You two want to be on my team? I always win.” He winked at Briar Rose.

“Hey!” shouted the counselor at the reception desk. “No water guns in the building. Take them outside, August.”

Gus held his hands up in defeat.
“I’m going, I’m going.” He stashed his backpack in a corner of the room, then made for the exit, water pistol at the ready. Just before dashing out into the sun, he turned to Briar Rose and Zayn and said, “Well, you guys coming?

Evan Olivas

Evan felt a crooked grin spread across his lips, eyes twinkling. The scene in front of him was so strange, so out of the ordinary, that he barely knew what to do. A nervous laugh escaped his body. "Um..." he started shyly, trying to find words to say. "I'm Evan."

"Well, you guys coming?" a voice called from inside the building. It was Gus, the guy who always ran around everywhere. Evan felt a pang of longing. He silently wished he could have fun like Gus did every year. He was standing with another beautiful girl he didn't recognize. Another new one? When he realized Gus was talking to Zayn only, his awkward smile quickly turned into a sad one.

"I think he's talking to you," he told Zayn, twitching his head in the direction of the building. Just like that, his momentary happiness was gone again, flying away and out of his grasp. Back to being alone again.
Oh well, I guess, he thought, dejected.

To be honest, he
could have used a hug.

Soon after, he felt a vibration in his pocket and took out his phone. His eyes widened. It was Aurora. Suddenly, he had a warlike flashback to the time he gave her his phone number. She probably was able to see his entire body shake with nervousness. Shaking away the thought, he swiped right on the notification and opened the text.

The Crew
them
Guys, text me if you're here or on your way.

The Crew? Evan looked at all the numbers in the group chat. There were a million he recognized. No way in hell was he going to respond in front of all of those. He opened up a separate text message to Aurora only and quickly typed in a blur of thumb movements, "im here".

Jabari walked down the path to the cabins. He knew the camp like the back of his hand. Just when he was going to head to the main building, a couple of middle schoolers zoomed past him and hid behind Jaba's tall body. "What the" was all that Jaba could say until one of the middle schoolers told him to be quiet. "Why? You can't hide behind people like that." He was starting to become angry; he really didn't need this. "Look man, we did something to someone and now he might come after us," one of the kids said. "Besides, you look like a tree anyway." Jaba wondered if he should take that last comment seriously or not, but he brushed it aside. "Well, regardless of the circumstances, its rude to get innocent people involved in your schemes-" "Hush! He's coming." They did their best to hide themselves completely behind Jaba, but it was obvious that they were there.

Soon enough, Jaba saw Gus stand in the doorway of the building. He knew what Gus was like and what he did. Gus seemed to Jaba like a nice guy, but the two didn't know each other very well. Their personalities were very different. However, Jaba respected Gus's joker attitude. If only I could do that, Jaba thought. He snapped out of thought as he realized that the middle schoolers were still standing behind him and clutching his shirt. "I just ironed that today." He muttered angrily to himself. The phone in his pocket started to vibrate and Jaba took it out. It was a message from Aurora asking if everyone was ready. Apparently, he wasn't the only one invited. A bunch of people he both knew and didn't know were going on the trip. Jaba's worries about the trip crawled its way to the forefront of his thoughts. He sighed and texted back 'Hey Aurora, this is Jaba. I'm not sure if I'm going. It seems to risky. If you have a safe and effective plan, talk to me and I'll take you up on your offer.'

Olivia Jade Matthews

After checking in, Olivia immediately headed to check out the cabin listing board which was currently swarmed by people. Wading through the mass of middle school aged kids, who by the smell of it had yet to discover deodorant, Olivia eventually was able to make it to the crumpled papers that were stapled to the old wooden board. Tracing a ringed finger down the names the girl paused, seeing her name followed by cabin 2. "Great." Liv mumbled as she turned around and began her attempt at getting out of the crowd. After reaching the clean air Olivia began making her way down to cabin 2 to drop off her bags which at this point were beginning to painfully dig into her shoulders.

Bags cluttered onto the dusty wooden floors as Liv breathed a sigh of relief, rubbing her shoulders as she tried to decide what to do next. Suddenly the noise of a bubble popping interrupted her thoughts. The girl pulled her phone out of her back pocket swiping the lock screen to see the notification. It was a text from Aurora, asking about everyone's whereabouts. Liv quickly texted the other girl back letting her know that Liv was at the camp. Olivia looked around her at the dimly lit cabin and exhaled, "Well, might as well go exploring and see if anyone else is here yet." Olivia spoke quietly to herself as she swiftly turned around and walked outside.

Upon her walk Olivia was quickly intersected by some little girls whom Liv had shared a cabin with last year. They were 5 cute little things with braided hair and wide eyes, no more than 7 years old. Somehow, every year Olivia had managed to be stuck in a cabin along with the smallest children. "Ollie!" A chorus went up from the little girls as they ran to greet Olivia. "Great." The older girl mumbled under her breath as she plastered on a smile and bent down her knees to accept the giant group hug. Olivia stood up and immediately was surrounded, a little hand grabbing each of her own. "Ollie, you have to come with us to the lake!" One little brunette spoke as the girls began dragging Olivia in the direction of the lake. "Yeah! You have to come with us!" Another little strawberry blonde added. Olivia tried to stop the group as she saw a couple of the people whom she assumed to be a part of the Hawaii trip but was unsuccessful due to the pack of small girls whom were basically dragging her. "I don't know if I can go to the lake today girlies." Olivia tried to convince, even though they were almost at the water as clued in by the sounds of a life guard's whistle. "But Ollie we have to be mermaids!" Liv looked down, only to be greeted by 10 puppy dog eyes. Olivia sighed, "Alright, fine. Mermaids it is!" Just let them have their fun, after all this is the only time you will have to spend at this camp. Liv thought to herself as she and the other girls sat down on the old wooden dock above the water.

Briar watched as Zayn ran away and smiled at Gus. He was cute.

"Uh... I dont know... I usually dont do this kind of thing but you're cute so why not." she said smiling.

She grabbed a gun and followed Gus.

"So uh... What do I do?" she asked holding the water gun backwards.

"Hey Evan! Thats a nice name... Im Honey! Or did I already say that?" Honey said trying to think.

"Oh no I said I was Zayn but everyone I like calls me Honey! I like you so you can too." he said nodding.

Honey's eyes widened as he looked over his shoulder to see Gus and Briar playing together.

"I WANNA PLAY!!!" he screamed standing up.

"Come on Evan!" he said jumping up and down. Honey got distracted when he saw a cute guy holding a bunch of luggage. He skipped over to Sebastian and looked at him.

"Um... Mister do you need help?" he asked looking at him.

Briar got sprayed in the back and screamed.

"Sorry Gus. Maybe Honey will help you." she said dropping the gun and running away from the chaos. She made her way to the beach, it was so relaxing. She walked to the beach and smiled looking over to beach.

Indira Delacroix

Indira surveyed the camp with a mildly disgusted look on her face. The place was basically one giant health code violation. Some kids were drinking from the-Indie nearly gagged-scummy lake then spitting it out at girls, boys were running around and nearly impaling each other with wooden branches and one little boy sat on the ground sobbing while a inhumanly large snot bubble came from his nose. " Camp sweet camp". Walking towards her cabin, it was probably full of the Little Indies, she felt a hand grab her back from her. Fearing it was a " Little Indie", 13 year old girls with bright colored hair and dark lipstick who wore skinny jeans and smirks, she sighed. What the mysterious bag grabber said next dissolved her fears. Turning around to face her friend Rose, Indira smiled and said in a haughty tone, " I'll have you that over the school year, I became a mature, emotionally stable-hell naw, I'm still Indie !". Grinning affectionally at the brunette, Indie kept walking " Sup' Rose ! I see you haven't been terribly disfigured over the year and that's always lovely. How's the fam ?".

Still walking towards her cabin, Indie glanced around, hoping to spot a glimpse of the every so attractive-bad boy supreme-sort of ishy maybe her crush, Sebastian. The pink haired girl always had a small little crush on him but it's slowly becoming more apparent. Yeah, Indira's definitely a smitten kitten.

Everest Holly Armstrong

"Everest Armstrong, nineteen years." Those words glided off her tongue as they had done several summers before. "Aren't you a bit old for this camp?" The woman had asked with a suspicious look knowing Everest wasn't one of the best children around. "Don't you belong in a museum exhibit?" The woman's face turned about fifty shades of red whether it have been from anger or embarrassment Everest wouldn't have been able to tell. Either way, it was hilarious to her and after that things only got better. She didn't bother searching for Rose or Cassidy knowing they would get there eventually if not already around. Her baggage was thrown into the long time abused cabin six and there it stayed. Her wallet and phone being all she cared about carrying. Oh, and her keys. It was maybe half an hour when her phone buzzed and with a quick glance it's discovered that Aurora had sent out a group text. With a grin, Ev unlocked her phone and sent back a greetings. When she had looked back up from her device a familiar figure heading away from the check in area. "Cass!" She called with a childish smirk plastered to her face. Swiping back her white dyed hair and walking to more formally great her friend, Ev just pushes through the small herds of children swarming around and forming their own 'legions' as she had heard one kid cry among his four gathered friends.

Valen Drake Michaels

"Shut the fuck up!" The screeching coming from the room across from Valen's gave the teen a good idea of what was going on. Apparently his mother was having another one of her 'mental melt downs' and his father, patient as ever, was trying to soothe her back into a calm state. His mother continued to scream and yell absurdities though Val had grown so used to these events that none of it faced him. His feet carried him to the bathroom down the hall where he quickly grabbed the bottle of pills nearing their end and filled a fresh glass with water to take to his mother. Sighing, Val quickly opened the bedroom door after offering a light tap before entering. His mother was sprawled out on the bed with a bewildered look in her eyes as she so often got without her medication. His father looked tired but caring as always and with an apologetic smile the water was removed from his hand followed by the pills. "Thanks, Valen." His father smiled again and quietly went to his wife, glass and pills in hand. "Time to take your medication darling.." was the last thing Val heard after soon retreating and walking across the hall to retrieve his luggage he would be taking to camp with him.

Valen ended up being one of the latest arrivals seeing as his driving wasn't the best and traffic was a bitch. He wasn't in much of a rush but had received a group text from Aurora and had made a quick "on my way" answer. Putting the car in park and getting out slowly not at all interested in anything at this shitty place besides getting out of there in the next few hours, Val makes the decision to just go find a cabin and maybe stay there. It would be a good way of avoiding his ex but at the same time he didn't like being alone. Hoping to spot someone of familiarity.

Rose shook her head with a laugh at her friend's response. "Couldn't if I tried, baby doll." She replied, snickering. "My dad's doing good. He said you should come down some time and show up Sebastian since he's been slacking." At the mention of her friend, she turned her head to see him staggering behind. He was struggling with her bags and she couldn't help but grin because instead of scowling, he had a look of frustration. It wasn't like she purposely put a brick in her duffle bag.

"I see you're as smitten as ever." Rose commented when she notice Indie eyeing Sebastian. She kept a smile plastered on her face but she couldn't stop the dark feeling forming in her heart. She knew Indie had a thing for Bash, which was why she never said anything about her own feelings for the fighter. Rose cared more about her friends and didn't want a single tear in any of her relationships. Even if that meant hurting herself.

"Come on Bash!" She called when her's and Indira's cabin was coming in to view. "Pick up those legs and hurry up!" She heard him curse under his breath which only made her laugh more.

<>

It took a while for Rose to get situated once they had a arrived to the cabin. Although she didn't need to unpack because of the escape, that didn't mean there's weren't kids trying to ransack the place. Of course, she spent almost an hour trying to calm to the hooligans which made her a bit late to the camp orientation. She had asked Indira to go ahead of her so she wasn't worried about appearing irresponsible to the camp employees, even though she was well known for her tardiness.

Finally, after a few minutes walk she arrived to the crowded place. The camp director was enthusiastically speaking to the group, making Rose rolled her eyes in annoyance.
She says the same thing every year, Rose thought. Tired of giving the woman her attention, she scanned the area and her heart dropped at a sight. Sebastian was standing with an arm wrapped around a girl's face. Not just any girl, however, Aurora.

Biting her lower lip, she tore her eyes away from the scene and forced them to look around once more. She then sighed in relief when she saw her best friend Everest and walked towards the blonde girl. "If it isn't Eve." Rose said with a mischievous grin.

Sebastian dragged behind the pair of females, a frustrated frown plastered on his face. He could feel beads of sweat beginning to form and slowly fall down the sides of his face. It confused Sebastian regarding why he was struggling so much because normally, he'd be able to lift things easily. However, it was like Rose put mountains of makeup into her baggage. Or bricks. Sebastian groaned internally at the thought.

The ash brunette skillfully dodged the children running in a ray of directions as he continued to walk. For some reason, they found Sebastian grumbling amusing because they'd begun running circles around the older male. Although he liked children, they were especially annoying at that moment. Finally, after what seemed like minutes, they got tired and left. He sighed in relief when his pathway was clear and safe. Rose, however, ended that relief when she yelled, "Come on Bash! Pick up those legs and hurry up!"

Sebastian cursed under his breath and stepped up the pace.

"Um... Mister do you need help?"

Sebastian's hazel green eyes turned to face a male a bit shorter than him. He looked the boy up and down and scowled slightly, but his expression relaxed a bit. "Yeah, sure... Thanks..." He replied hesitantly, handing the boy his own bags, which were lighter than Rose's anchors. "Thanks."

After helping Rose by chunking her bags into the cabin, which earned him a few glares, he learned the boy who helped him was named Zayn. It surprised Bash when Zayn told him he was 16 due to his child-like personality, but Sebastian wasn't a judge so he shrugged off the thought.

<>

The strident cries of children tore Sebastian's attention away from phone, which showed a text from Aurora. He clenched his jaw slightly and stuffed his phone into his front pocket before crossing his arms. After shifting his wait against a tree he stood by, he eyed the crowd and saw one of the camp coordinators waving him forward. He rolled her eyes at the woman but that only seemed to encourage her to wave more. Mumbling, he stepped forward only to be pushed by one of the hyperactive kids.

He grunted as his large frame bumped into a smaller figure. He instinctively reached out to keep the girl from falling, and his breath hitched slightly when his eyes met a familiar pair of gray orbs. "Oh... hey..." he said nonchalantly, his jaw tense as he scratched his head out of habit when she was on her feet. He shoved his hands into his pockets and looked away from the girl standing before him.

@Guilded Clover @Raphael

Aurora's phone vibrated every now and then whenever she had received a text from her friends. Most of them were either saying that they had arrived at camp or that they were on the way. Except Jabari was the only one reconsidering the idea. She just knew someone in the group would be worried about the plan but somehow she hoped that she could change his mind otherwise that would be one plane ticket gone to waste. Not that it mattered or anything. Standing up, Aurora left her bags on the bed and headed out the cabin with her phone. "Whoa," Almost running into a bunch of kids that literally had ran past her, she stopped to take a small breather. Yes, it was nice seeing the kids all happy but Aurora wasn't planning on falling over to get herself dirty. She was 100% pretty sure that some of the kids were already messy due to all the play-fighting.

The Crew

She continued typing her text to Jabari and managed to send it off before slipping her phone into the back pocket of her shorts. The moment she pushed her phone perfectly to fit inside, she bumped into someone and she could just tell it was a male. What female had a hard back and strong arms? Strong enough to keep her from falling that is... That's when her gray eyes landed on him. The person she didn't expect to see so soon... Sebastian Beringar. The boy she'd watch grow up ever since he was a thirteen year old. The boy she'd dated for how many years?
Three. She'd gotten to know the real Sebastian underneath his mean facade. If he had acted sweet like he did to her in the past, any girl would have fallen for his charm.

Aurora realized she'd been staring at him for a couple moments, not a word coming out of her mouth. Whether it was his green eyes that got to Aurora
every time, she was speechless. "Sorry." She murmured and quickly made her move to stand up rather than staying in his arms. Of course, the first thing that Aurora would do was apologize. What could she say to him without looking like a fool? Luckily for her, he was the one to speak first. "Hey..." She shot him a small smile and played with her fingers, "How are you doing?" The last time Aurora remembered having a full on face-to-face conversation with Sebastian was the day that they broke up. Yes, she may have texted him every now and then, but she hadn't properly faced him since that day. The day she wanted to forget happened ever so badly but who could forget something so tragic? Definitely not Aurora.

Aurora

Guys, text me if you're here or on your way.

Jabari

Hey Aurora, this is Jaba. I'm not sure if I'm going. It seems to risky. If you have a safe and effective plan, talk to me and I'll take you up on your offer.

Aurora

Hey Jaba! How are you? I can't believe you're planning on backing out
:( I was hoping you'd tag along with us. The plan is pretty simple. A coach will come and pick us up, take us to the airport. You know what happens at an airport. right? :P Once we land in Hawaii, we head straight to my dad's summer house. The plan is totally safe! Nothing can go wrong.
