When the clock struck 6:00AM, Callie was already up and about. She had awoken an hour earlier so she could pack last minute, take a long, hot shower, and actually make an effort towards her looks for the first day of camp. She had filled one large suitcase and one large duffel bag with all of her clothes, shoes, and accessories that would be vital for this summer. When her mother came into her room to ask if she had everything, her mother raised a brow at the fullness of her daughter's bags. She simply shook her head though, turning to make her way back to the kitchen when Callie told her that everything was in order.
"Don't worry mom, I can pack my own clothes for summer camp," the last part rolled off her tongue easily, Callie had been showing her gradual hate for this summer camp thing ever since school let out, but--of course--her parents had not let up and made it clear she was going.

"You'll have fun Callie honey, you always do." And with that, her mother descended down the stairs into the depths of the Saunders home. Callie simply rolled her eyes, throwing on the outfit she had picked out for the day: a pair of white shorts, a baby blue tank topped off with a colourful cardigan, a pair of greyish ankle-boots, and a cute white floppy sunhat. It was a simple, yet effective outfit if any cute humans caught her eye. The young woman slung her duffel bag over her shoulder and lugged her suitcase down the stairs until she passed the kitchen, making it to the front door just as the strap of the duffle bag began to bite into her shoulder. "Whew," she exhaled, dropping her luggage by the door and turning back towards the kitchen where her mother was making a mean breakfast.

The family dog, came trotting up to Callie his big, brown eyes just begging for attention. Callie gave in, giving him a few scratches behind the ears before walking up beside her mom.
"Need any help?" Her mother shook her head and went back to scrambling the eggs. The young woman swiped a piece of bacon that had just been finished, sliding over towards the refrigerator to take a swig from the Orange Juice container.

"Callie Grace Saunders!" Her mother shouted, catching her daughter in the dirtiest of deeds. "I swear," she sighed, swiping the container from Callie's hands and pushed it into the back of the fridge, "You and your father will be the death of me." Callie simply shrugged, taking a a piece of toast and making her way back towards the front door.

Just then, her two younger brothers whizzed past, one carrying a lightsaber and the other holding a toy dragon out in front of him.
"Bye you two!" Callie shouted, catching the boys attention just enough to where they ran over to hug their sister and then take off again. Her mother came out of the kitchen with a dish-towel over her shoulder and a smile, "Have fun dear! Your father and I expect a call when you are all settled in." Callie rolled her eyes and spoke, "I will. I love you all!" Picking up her luggage once more and hauling the load out to her grey Jeep. Once the bags were safely in the trunk, the girl climbed into the driver side and made her way out of the driveway. She checked the time and decided the highway was just not the way to go right now, instead, she took the back roads, making it to camp in less than an hour and a half.

As the camp came into view, Callie couldn't help but wrinkle her nose in disgust. The place was atrocious; young ones running amok, half the cabins infested with cockroaches, and not to mention the lake probably wasn't even swimmable anymore.
"Good thing I'm not staying here..." she mumbled, pulling her luggage from the car and dragging them behind her towards the check-in table. She was in such a hurry to give the lady her name, "Callie Grace Saunders. I'm eighteen," that she didn't really bother to look around for her friends. They would show up sooner or later but she had some planning to do.

"Ryan, get up. I have to take you and your brother to camp." Ryan's mother spoke from the other side of the door as she knocked on it. Her footsteps fell silent as she moved to his younger brother's bedroom. Ryan slowly opened his eyes and groaned as he sat up, running his hands through his messy hair. Once again, he was being sent to the camp he's been to his whole life... well almost. Climbing out of bed, his eyes wandered towards his bags that he had packed the night before, shaking his head slightly. He headed towards his bedroom door and opened it, strolling to the bathroom so he could take his shower.

After taking his time in the shower, he opened the bathroom door to see his eleven year old brother, Jeremy, bouncing around and talking about how excited he was. He jumped up in attempt to mess up Ryan's hair which was a complete fail due to the height difference,
"Hey Ryan! Don't worry, you can hang out with me and my friends." Jeremy teased, causing Ryan to chuckle. Putting his brother in a headlock, he messed up his hair before letting him go. "Go get ready, ya' little monkey." He told him before heading back to his bedroom.

Once he was dressed, Ryan grabbed his bags and then headed downstairs to eat his usual, cereal. He watched his mom make a phone call and his brother play on his game console, instead of finishing up his cereal. After he ate, the teenager set his bowl in the sink and stretched before he heard his mom speak up.
"Come on, boys! It's time to go!" She motioned for the two to get into the car and Ryan sighed before he made his way to the car with his bags and threw them into the trunk. The weather was beautiful and even though he was going to summer camp; that was not where he was going to be at all. A small grin formed on his lips as he climbed into the front seat of the car along with his mother who started the engine and pulled away from the house slowly.

Ryan lifted his head from his phone to see his mother pulling into the car park of the camp. From his view he could see all the new kids clinging to their parents, scared to let them go. Then there were others re-joining friends and running around but Ryan was more on the look out for his two best friends; Caden and Dylan. They had been in the same predicament for years, being forced to attend a summer camp that they long over grew. When his mom put the car in park, his brother Jeremy was the first out the car, running to trunk so that he could grab his things. Ryan soon followed, placing his phone in the back pocket of his jeans.

Jeremy, who had already grabbed his bags, was gone in a flash to meet up with his trouble-making friend Kory and his posse. His mother smiled at him and Ryan returned the smile back, giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"I'll see you soon, mom." He told her before throwing his backpack over one shoulder and reaching for his duffle bags; walking into the camp.

Nicky had a difficult time getting into bed the previous night. Her father was the worrying kind, and he was especially worried about sending her off to a camp. Despite him saying it was a good idea and the best idea to get his daughter out of the house for a while, the night before the special day was oh-so-annoying. Questions were being asked, father double-checking everything was packed and making sure she finished her homework before she left. He offered her money for the trip, asked her if she wanted anything, there was a moment where he tried to persuade her to leave her phone behind. Nicky was left feeling exhausted by the end of the day, and welcomed sleep easily.

Waking up to the loud buzzer of the alarm, Nicky yawned and turned over in her bed, closing her eyes once more and trying to sleep through the loud noise. Her father was not so forgiving, however, entering her room with a slam and excitedly shaking her awake and dragging her out of her own sleeping quarters.
"First day of summer camp! Have you packed everything and made sure you have everything you need?" her father asked with a beaming smile. Nicky groaned out her response but smiled back. After cleaning herself up, she donned on her clothes for the day, smiling to herself as she looked at herself in the mirror. Nicky wondered if she was going to make any new friends during this camp? The girl rarely ever went out, and stayed in the house quite a lot.

Taking her luggage with her, she stepped into the car belonging to her father, who seemed grumpy at the fact he needed to wake up early to take his daughter to the camp, but put on a smiley face anyway. Not feeling like talking, she pulled out her phone and listened to her music through earphones, nodding her head to the music as she looked out of the window, watching the scenery before her, change and change.

"Parker Kelly," came a loud feminine voice, "You wake up right now!"

Parker groaned as he reached for his phone to check the time, which read 6:30 AM. He cursed under his breath as he struggled to get out of bed. It was the first day of camp and he was already running late. After showering and doing all the necessary morning essentials, he quickly threw on a white t-shirt with an Aztec pocket, a pair of jeans folded to his ankles, and old gray vans. He didn't need to dress super nice because there was no one to impress, except maybe the camp guidance counselor. He chuckled softly at the memory.

Last summer Parker had put a blue food coloring in the guidance counselor's toothpaste. She went the entire day not realizing she had Smurf teeth. It was a harmless prank but the poor woman immediately caught Parker and gave him cafeteria duty for a week.

"Did you pack everything? You made sure to pack those boxers I bought you, right?" Parker's mother asked as soon as he was down stairs. He fought the urge to roll his eyes as he kissed the blonde woman's cheek. "Yes, mom. I packed last night." He replied with a sigh, grabbing a piece of toast. Parker did pack the night before, spending every second to make sure he didn't forget anything. It was a bad habit of his when it came to "trips."

"Dad, can we go before Mom starts crying?" The 18 year old brunette asked his father, who was sitting at the dining table checking his phone. The older male just grinned and nodded. "Can't have her act like she did last summer." His father laughed. Parker's mother just threw a kitchen towel at the man and urged them to go.

The drive was a relatively short one. When they arrived, he let out a long sigh. "It's good to be home." Parker said sarcastically. He bid farewell to his father, adding an overly dramatic bro-hug. As he made his way into the camp, kids crying and running around him, he felt a sense of relief wash over him.
Too bad I won't be spending my summer here, he thought, pulling up the backpack he wore over one shoulder and dragging his suitcase behind him.

"Parker Kelly," he said to the woman at the sign in table, not bothering to wait for an 'okay.'

The house was noisy, as usual, from hearing her mother blast her music loudly as she cleaned up. Does she not know they have neighbors? Rin opened her eyes to see the time was about 7:30am. She had no worries since she'd already packed the night before. She got up and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and shower.

Once she showered she came out and got dressed. She work a black short sleeve shirt and a pair of highwaisted whitish bluish jeans shorts. She wrapped her white and black plaid long sheeve shirt incase she got cold during the ride to "Camp." Without putting on her shoes just yet she went downstairs to she her mom putting away her cleaning supplies. "
Mom, why not just hire a maid?" Her mom looked at her and scoffed, "It's better to do it yourself so you can clean the house to your satisfaction"

Rin shrugged and grabbed a bagel, spreading cream cheese on it before taking a bite. She gave her mom the other half of the bagel and they sat against the counter and ate the bagel together "
So, what are you and dad going to do in Paris?" Her mom thought about it for a while before saying "I don't know, he won't tell me" Rin smiled and shook her head before finishing up her bagel, "Well I have to go to camp so lets go" She smiled sneakily and went upstairs to get her things. Putting on her converses and grabbing her large book bag and her suitcase, heading downstairs to see her mother already in the car.

They drove in slience until they finally reached the camp, Rin got out and grabbed her things. "
Bye mom, love you" She said and started to walk to the check in counter. "Rin Nolan, sixteen" She told the man. She turned around to see her mom driving off and waving "Bye sweet, have have. I love you too!" And with that, she was gone.

Caden had just finished her morning jog and just arrived at home when she was attacked by her small but feisty puppy Cain. She smiled picking him up and was greeted with his wet kisses. "OK ok Cain that's enough kissing mommy I gotta go get ready for camp...now I'm gonna put you down and I don't want to hear you whine period you got that?" She asked him and smiled when he responded with a small cute bark. She really wanted to take him on the trip but each time she tried to her dad would catch her and tell her no even after she begged and pleaded. Maybe this time she could smuggle him on the trip, he may still be a pup but she made sure not to let anything happen to him, he was her baby and she didn't want to see him hurt or worse. She went up the stairs three at a time then entered her big bedroom. She looked at her clock seeing she had enough time before she had to leave to the bus. Grabbing her portable speaker and her phone she walked to her bathroom entering it and turned on the shower. She brushed her teeth before taking of her working out clothes and hopped in the shower. Of course the hot water on her skin felt amazing which is why she stayed under the hot water for a few more minutes. She got out and grabbed a towel exiting her bathroom and going to her closet to figure out what the wear on the trip. She just randomly picked something and threw it on then walked to her bed and began packing some more items in her bags.

She finished and picked them up with ease downstairs to the living room where she placed them. She was about the head to the kitchen when she saw Cain run over to her. She smiled and thought of a good idea but she needed to act fast. After finishing her plan she sat down and ate with both her dad's and it was time to go. She watched her dad put her bags in the truck of the car and they were off to the drop off area where the bus will be waiting to take them to the airport.
"Alright Caden...we want you to have a fun time at camp like you always do." "And I will have a fun time like I always do at that camp dad...you really don't have anything to worry about...I'm a grown woman I can take care of myself..." She told her pop's and then heard he dad sigh. "Look at her...already saying she's a grown woman...we're losing her too soon..." Her dad said pretending to sniffle. Caden rolled her eyes and smiled. "I'm right here and I'm always going to be your baby girl...that won't change at all and oh look we're here!"

Her pop's rolled his eyes and parked the car and unbuckled his seat helping Caden get her things out of the car. He picked up one bag and felt it move in his hand, he was a little confused before carefully putting it down.
"Caden Marko Reese..." He called her and saw her freeze and slowly turn around. He shook her head and unzipped the bag taking no other than Cain out the bag. "I've told you once and I will tell you again...you can't bring Cain on the trip he's still a puppy...maybe when he's older you can but not right now..." Caden just groaned and nodded "Fine pop...I'm sorry but you're gonna have to stay here...you can't come..." She told Cain who then began to whine. She walked over to the sign in table and told the person at the table her name "Caden Marko Reese". After she was checked in she went back to talking to her parents while waiting for the others to arrive so they can get on the bus and head to the airport. She was waiting for her best friends to arrive but she was mainly waiting for Blake...she's had a major crush on the guy since they became best friends. Maybe at this trip she can finally express her feelings to him.

Ava slowly opened her eyes to a pitch black room aside from the faint purple coming from her poster-covered walls. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and slowly sat up, throwing her legs over the side of the bed an looking at the clock. 3:00. Deciding that she was too excited to go back to sleep, she got up and began dressing in some workout clothes: a simple pair of galaxy leggings and a black tank top with her sneakers. Grabbing her phone, she plugged her headphones up to it and turned her music up as she stuck her phone in the waistband of her leggings and pulled her plain brown hair up into a ponytail. She walked down into the depths of her house, careful not to wake her sister or her parents, and grabbed a bottle of water before heading out for a jog.

When she returned, it was just after five, which didn't surprise her since she had been at the park for a while. She silently slipped back up to her room and made sure she had packed everything she needed for "camp" before walking into the bathroom to shower. Finally stepping out, she found her hair dye and took her time in order to make it look perfect. While she waited on the color to set, she went back to her room and found her black shorts and midriff as well as her grey cardigan and black combat boots. When she looked at the time, she realized she had to get in the bathroom before her sister woke up, so she grabbed her straightener and hurried in, closing the door.

Once she finished with her hair and makeup, she opened the door only to be met with the puppy dog eyes of her little five year old sister, Kacy. "Do you have to go?" She asked as she looked up, obviously trying to get Ava to fall for it. "I'm sorry sweetie but I do. Mom and dad have already made up their minds," Ava said as she picked the smaller girl up and set her on her hip as she walked back to her room.

Quickly changing, she was just finishing putting on her boots when she heard her mother call them for breakfast. She checked one more time to make sure she had her smaller things such as hair dye and makeup before taking her suitcases and following Kacy down to the kitchen, stopping to set her things by the front door. She hurried into the kitchen and gave her mom and dad a quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing the plate made for her and sitting down.

"Are you sure you have everything Ava?" Her father asked almost immediately, causing his oldest daughter to smile. "Yes I have everything. I know how to pack for summer camp. I've done it every year for I don't know how long," she said easily as she finished. Hearing a soft purr, she got up and followed it to her bags by the door to find her own personal cat. "Hey Sage," she said softly as she leaned down and pet the black and white furball. "I know sweetie...I wish I could take you to Hawaii too," she whispered a bit softer. "What was that sweetie," her mom asked from the kitchen. "I said I love you," Ava lied as she stood up. "Bye guys! Love you," she said and was out the door with her things. Getting into her red mustang, she started the car and pulled out of the driveway and off to camp.

When the camp came into view, she rolled her eyes slightly and sighed as she shook her head. "Death trap," she mumbled under her breath as she parked and got out, grabbing her suitcases from the trunk. When she walked up to the sign in table, she ran a quick hand through her hair. "Avangeline Marie Jones," she said as she waited almost impatiently and looked around.
I can't wait until I don't have to see you again.

Letting out a soft yawn, Blake stretched out on his bed and looked at the time. He had plenty of time to pack. This is what I get for procrastinating. Getting up, he moved around his bedroom and packed as efficiently as he could before going back and making sure he had everything he needed. Satisfied with what he had, he closed up his suitcase and duffel bag before grabbing his guitar and carefully setting it in its case, zipping that up when he finished.

Heading to the bathroom, he took a rather long shower before stepping out and getting dressed in a simple pair of jeans and a button up shirt that showed off the tattoo that dawned his bicep and shoulder. He slid on his converse, deciding to add a tie just because he could. He spent ten minutes on his hair to get it just right before bushing his teeth and heading back to his room to make sure he had his phone charger and several guitar picks, sliding those in a small pocket in his case.

The smell of bacon and waffles drifted up through the space between the floor and his door and he grabbed all of his things, heading down to the kitchen. He dropped his things by the staircase and walked in, giving his mother a kiss on the cheek. "Smells good," he said as he got a plate and fixed himself some food. As he ate, his mother began tearing up as she did every year. Setting his plate down, Blake walked over and engulfed her in a tight hug to calm her down. "I promise I'll call you when I get there," he said softly and kissed her forehead before turning to get his things.

Slinging his guitar case over his chest, he positioned the duffel bag on his shoulder and pulled his suitcase behind him as he headed out to his truck. Setting his things in the bed, he climbed into the cab and started it, and began the two hour journey to camp. When it came into view, he smiled as he saw everyone gathering, newbies playing around obviously not knowing what to expect with camp. He got out and once again positioned his guitar over his chest before grabbing his bags and heading over to the sign in table. "Blake Alexander Herrin," he said as he set his bags down though kept his guitar strapped to his back out of habit.

AJ had been excited for today for a long while. That is why, the moment the alarm sounded, she took her phone in her hands without a second beat and putting the usually annoying alarm to snooze with a simple swipe. Laying up, she threw the comfortable blanket off of her, bidding it goodbye for now. With a grin on her face, and a pep in her step, she sped off with her pink towel to the bathroom. So much to do today!

Today was going to be busy, but the moment she comes into contact with all her lovely friends, the fun won't stop. Especially since she doesn't have to stay in that dingy camp this time. Next stop! Somewhere else!! She couldn't help but taking some less time in her daily morning activities to get to the good stuff.

AJ pulled on her summery clothes, already having virtually everything packed. But with her energy, she'd have no problem pulling all this weight by herself. She's been going to the camp for as long as she could remember, her parents didn't even wake up anymore to help her get her things in the car unless TJ's dad wasn't able to pick her up this year. Which hasn't happened yet!

AJ fixed her hair , pressed on makeup and put on some sunglasses, posing in the mirror for a second. Oh!... Good time to take a selfie. She picked up her phone, snapped and few photos then uploaded them. Caption: Pear body appreciation post!! She grinned at such a clever thing to write, before remembering she had some where to go.

She pulled her things downstairs, hearing the usual doorbell. She skipped towards the door and opened it, giving the tired looking TJ and happy squeak as a greeting before darting upstairs. "Allllmooossttt fooorgoooootttt!" She peeked into her parents room, they were still sleeping. "I'm off for summer camp, Madre and Paaadre.~" She was greeted by two sleepy grunts as usual.
"Text me-" "When I check in, way ahead of you daddy~"

Aj jogged downstairs and tripped, rolling around on the floor and laughing. "You didn't see that, TJ!" She squealed, red face and rubbing her shoulder.
"I wish I hadn't." "Ha-HA~" She started to help lock and load her bags, shoving them against TJs and fitting everything just right as usual. She rested her quirky bag in her lap as she sat in the car back. "Hi President Washington!!" "Fine morning, Mother America." That's their nicknames or each other, since they're so close.

She turned her head to TJs brother, who was actually going to another summer camp. "Nice to see you, everybody loves Raymond!" She held out a dainty hand. "When are you gonna come to my summer camp??" Raymond shrugged, closing his sketch book to shake her hand.
"Not this year, that's for sure." "You say that every year...."

And then off they went, a car ride full of AJ's usual bubbly nature, mixed with the quietness of both TJ and Raymond and the cheesiness of their dad made a pleasant mix. Soon enough, the car ride was over and a new experience began.

Getting off at their destination, Aj hopped out with their things, TJ wallowing behind. "Thank you, see you on the battle field, Prez. Raymond make sure you gimme that portrait of me when I get back!" She said, hopping over to the sign in table. AJ took a deep whiff of the smell of the usual boring home. Ah, perfect. She looked at her phone for a moment, raising her glasses. "America Juliet Wales!" She chimed, texting her dad that she was at camp already. She squeaked at her alarm went off, and she hissed. "Dumb thing... I gotta start hitting end alarm instead of snooze, things been ringing all the car ride, am I right TJ?" She looked up, expecting TJ's nodding face, but saw just some other randoms. "Shoot."

Tdiex2R.png

TJ's awakening however, in comparison to AJ's, was much more sleepier and less amused. The alarm was annoying, and he ended up waking up real early... But hitting snooze way too many times and had to rush to seem like he was actually on time when he wasn't. This made him a bit annoyed, but hey, he wanted to stick around and not get up. He didn't do that as much as he thought he did.

Jumping up and hurrying up so he wouldn't get nagging from his father and Raymond, he did the normal things with an increased hurry. Shower, brush teeth, eat and pull on some thin clothes. It was summer, so he can't be running around in full black as he usually liked to. Damn. He already missed winter.

He walked downstairs, seeing his father walk in having already have the things together in the car that was roaring outside, his brother drawing as usual. It was a few more minutes of quiet small talk he wouldn't remember before heading off to pick up AJ and then head to summer camp.

Or should he say, somewhere else than summer camp.

TJ can't really say he was ecstatic for summer camp or even escaping, if anything, he wanted to stay home. But he found that insensitive to all his friends, especially his more closer ones. The thing about summer camp was that it has a strange sense of home to him, even though it was a snooze fest. At least being around the other for so long made him feel at home, but he couldn't be truly himself except around AJ. And when AJ goes to camp, it'd be a full moon before he gets to stick with her with only her around.

At least Peter would be there, he was a cool guy. He closed his eyes as they rode off towards AJ's place, he got out the car to go help with her bags as usual. She could do it herself, the girl is held up by sheer will and the personality of five coffees in two hours when pulling an all nighter. However, he always insisted to help, either she liked it or not. He walked up to the door of the towering home and rung the door bell, and in less than a minute, she opened the door and fled upstairs as quick as she came.

He proceeded to spot out what was hers and picking it up, but she was already back and tumbled to the floor. Of course, she brushed it off with ease by laughing at herself. It was funny, of course, the girl was a clown in a tiny teenage body.

They loaded into the car and got in, the usual greetings and conversation going on, he was too busy thinking about how things are go to work out. Or in other words, worrying as usual. He'd never admit that though.

Then they finally arrived. TJ checked in with his dad and said goodbye to Raymond after AJ bid them farewell and went off her own way. There she goes. Good thing she hooked him up with some friends, if not then he would've been awkwardly flying solo for the whole summer.

"Gosh." He said to himself, heading towards the sign in table next to a confused AJ. "Tyler James Washington."

Bright sunlight from the sun peeked through Eleanor's slightly opened window, the sunlight was aimed directly on her face instantly making her roll over in hope to find a spot that didn't have sunlight aiming for her face. The girl did a sigh that indicated that she was comfortable, as the spot she moved in was dark and a bit cool from the neglect of warm limbs. It was only until a loud knock on her door, followed by a feminine British voice that made Eleanor fully wake up. Hazel eyes slowly opening up, Eleanor's eyes were greeted with a light green wall. Pushing herself away from the wall, the girl had sat up in her bed stretching with her arms above her head before falling back down on her bed to fully register that she woke up and wasn't in dream world anymore. As she laid down on her bed staring at the white ceiling, Eleanor heard her door swing open making her head snap to her door only to see her Aunt Tessa at her door with her hands on her hips.

"
Well, how was I suppose to know if you would come over this year? You didn't bother to call me! " " I did tell you, I told you at the end of August that Eleanor would be coming over to spend the summer with Jill, Phil. " Eleanor's aunt retorted back. Rolling her eyes at both of her family members, Eleanor had interrupted her dad before he could say anything else. " Could you guys not argue right now. I still have to get ready for summer camp and I don't plan on being late because of your bickering, now shoo. " The younger girl said pushing her aunt and her father out her room before closing her door. " Finally. They were giving me a headache and I haven't even been up for a hour. " She thought massaging her temples before she headed towards her bathroom to get ready.

Out of her pajamas and into more appropriate clothing for summer camp, Eleanor headed downstairs, and walked inside her living room to see her aunt talking on the phone. Leaning on the painted light blue living room wall, Eleanor decided to be a bit nosey. " Who are you talking to? " She asked not all that curious, but it wouldn't hurt to know. " Someone. But, what does it matter to you? Don't you have a boyfriend to be comforting since you won't see him over the summer? " The older women said, making Eleanor laugh. " Who Andy? Or was it Ankle. . ? No, I'm pretty sure it was Andy. Whatever his name is, I broke up with him already. You should know this by now. " " Yeah, whatever." Her aunt's response had made Eleanor smile before she slowly moved her body off the wall to head to the kitchen which is where she guessed her father was. Dad, I'm ready to go. " She said, standing her packed suitcase up that she put on the kitchen floor as she waited for her dad. " Alright, lets go. Tessa are you coming? " Her dad said, yelling the last part. A no was immediately yelled back making him hum before the pair headed out the door. Upon arriving, Eleanor had looked over to her dad expecting his eyes to be watery like last time but they weren't. " Bye Dad. " Was all she said followed by a wave before she got out the car and headed towards the sign-in table. " Eleanor Woods. " Eleanor said, running her fingers through her wavy brown hair as she looked down at her suitcase that was in her hand.

Jabari Onyeka Mensah

Jabari sat in the back of his parent's car. Looking out of the car window, he saw an seemingly endless stretch of trees go by. He could feel his eyes getting heavy, but the rest of him was awake. Why did we have to leave so early, his thoughts sounded tired. He periodically took his eyes off of the road to change the song on his phone. 6:30 A.M. For once, he was running late to something and didn't mind. The last thing he wanted to do was go to summer camp. Wanting answers, he paused his music and looked at his mother in the front.

"Mom, why do I have to go to summer camp? I am eighteen now. Shouldn't I be working or filling out college applications?" His English wasn't amazing, but he could get the point across. His mother replied sternly. "Je ne veux pas que tu sois paresseuse tout l'été. Ce sera bon pour vous de sortir de la maison." (I don't want you to be lazy all summer. It will be good for you to get out of the house.) Jabari scrunched his face up. He knew this was the answer he was getting. "I just hope people I know will be there this year. I can't stand being alone all the time." Right when he finished, his father, who was driving, stepped in. "Tu ferais mieux de ne pas avoir des ennuis sérieux. Vous n'êtes jamais trop vieux pour une coqueluche de cul." (You better not get in serious trouble. You're never too old for an ass whooping.) Jabari winced at this remark. Sometimes he wished that he couldn't understand his parents. Or that they understood him. They rarely ever speak English at home; when they do, it's when Jaba is punished. His mother added, "Tu ferais mieux de ne pas tomber enceinte personne." (You better not get anyone pregnant.) "Maman! Why would I do that?" Jaba raised his voice. He tugged at his blue button-up shirt and shifted in his seat. "Ne le faites pas." (Don't do it.) And with that, the car was silent once more.

Finally reaching the camp, Jabari exited from the car with his giant rolling suitcase. He waved goodbye to his parents and walked over to the sign-in table.
"Jabari Onyeka Mensah." His accent wasn't too light, but it also wasn't very heavy. According to him, it was just right. Jaba stood off to the side so others can sign in. He was taller than most of the adults there and while he couldn't see anyone he knew, they could find him easily. He winced at the constant yelling from everyone, and the general loudness of the area irritated him. This is going to be a long summer.

Rhoney's Outfit

full

Valen stepped out of the shower and shivered at the cool air, a towel was wrapped around his waist and another wrapped around his hair. He had luckily woken an hour before time to go, the same can not be said for Rhoney. There's a lump beneath the covers that Valen has come to know as his brother. "Rhoney, you lazy mess, if you don't get up now you won't have any time to shower." Saying this calmly as he observed himself in the mirror, the lump moved slightly releasing an almost demonic sort of sound. "Shut up and get up already!" Rhoney groaned again. This time sitting up to were the blankets revealed his messy mop of hair and weary green eyes that had yet to regain their usual glow just yet. "Don't look so down, remember what today is?" His twin looked over still clueless until finally getting the message. "Oh, yeah!" Yawning, Rhoney lays back onto his side causing an exasperated sigh from Valen. "You're the one who thought this would be an excellent experience. Now get up before dad wakes up!" Val partially shouts the last bit not caring much if he woke the old fashion designer or not.

"Do we really have to go so early..?" Rhoney's horrid morning skills were increasing as his eyes slowly started to close. The brilliant darkness starting to engulf him with open arms and the beautiful sil-WACK. "OWWW!" The dozing teen fell off the bed and landed on the floor sprawled out in a way that almost made him seem like a fish with no water. "What was that for!?" He sat up quickly looking around in confusion but soon finding the thing that had caused his startled reaction. A smiley face pillow laying about six inches away and a sticky note on top of it with the letters F U. "That's not nice..." Rho stood very slowly no longer seeing Valen in the room and assuming him to be choosing clothes from the closet or something like that. "How come you're such a jerk?" He asked to the empty room and yet got a chuckle in response. "Why are you such a baby?" Valen came out from their walk in closet and stood there in a loose striped shirt and blue jean shorts. He had obviously decided on wearing something simple for the first day as he usually does.

"I am NOT a baby!" He stomped his foot lightly at his brother's claim but doesn't have time to argue with him. "Honey? Reed? You two up?" The soft voice of a young woman called in which Rhoney quickly answered. "Yes, Candice!" Going into the closet quickly, he closed the door behind him just as the bedroom door opened. "I hope I'm not bothering you boys but dad seems to be a bit out of sorts so I'll be the one driving you both to camp." The tanned girl with strawberry blonde hair looked to Valen with her usual sweet smile and was returned with an equally charming one. "That's perfect! Hopefully you'll be gone before he gets up too." Their dad was a bit of a drunk though not an abusive or hateful drunk. His main issue is laughing entirely too loud and telling embarrassing stories from his past or people's pasts as well.

Candice laughed and shook her head at Valen's comment then turned to walk out again. "I'll be downstairs, with coffee and poptarts." With that she left the bedroom and could be heard retreating down the hallway. Thankfully by the time she had vanished Rhoney reappeared in a simple white button up shirt and tan shorts. They had no use in wearing anything impressive at this time. "Just think, we'll be on a plane before long and out of those stinky cabins for six weeks!!" An excited Rhoney cheered and was quickly hushed by Valen. "How about we just keep that between you and me? Candice doesn't need to know and dad sure as hell shouldn't know! Did you get the money from him that he offered?" Valen straightened his clothing while Rho searched through his small back pack sort of thing. After a moment he pulls out a wad of cash and nods his head. "Yup! A thousand for each of us! Don't know why he'd give us so much though..oh, well! We'll be eating good." Rhoney's excitement seemed to intensify until finally Valen couldn't take it any longer and grabbed his stuff to leave. "Come on you moron." He sighed and off he went downstairs where the coffee and toasted poptarts were waiting.

"Thanks so much!" Rhoney cried as Candice waved back to her younger brothers, they had made it just at 6:43. "You guys be sure to stay out of trouble!" She told them both while putting the vehicle in drive and going on. Valen huffed while dragging his two suitcases. Both mainly being filled with clothing. "You sure do like you clothes!" Rhoney teased while following with his own suitcase. "I hope everyone's been doing well!" He enthuses and walks up to the counter. Grinning, he spoke, "Rhoney and Valen Sykes." Let the summer of their lives begin!

PETER DAVIES

Peter groaned as he looked at his clock. 5:02. His brain was wired so he always woke up at this time. He hated it when he did that, which was always. He stayed in bed for a few seconds, embracing the softness and warmth of his sheets, but then he got up and immediately grabbed his glasses, a pair of pants and a shirt so he could shower. Like usual, he spent his time pretending as if his shampoo bottle was a microphone. He kept singing and cleaning himself until he heard his mother banging the door.

"
You do know you sound horrible, don't you?" she joked. He rolled his eyes but smiled despite himself. He hated that they forced him to enter a summer camp but he couldn't hate his parents. He loved them. "Can you finish? I'm your ride." He stopped his goofing around and washed himself from the soap on his body. He quickly wore his clean clothes and picked up his dirty ones to put in the laundry. He got out, putting on an obviously forced smile and did he daily routine. But this time, there was an added nervousness.

He ate his cereal in unusual silence until his mother said that they were leaving in fifteen minutes. He went back to his room and got his suitcase from under his bed. It was already packed, but he had to do double check. His clothes? Check. Hygienic items? Check. Some junk food? Check. His pills? Check. He breathed out. Those were the important things.

"
Ready, Pete?" his mother yelled out. "Yeah," he said in the same manner. He zipped his suitcase once again and picked it up. Here goes nothing, he thought. He went downstairs and waited for his extremely perky mother to finish fixing herself. When she was done with that, she led him to her car and made him put his suitcase in the trunk. The whole ride, he was frowning and sometimes, he'd go on his phone to check his social media accounts. He caught his mom looking from the mirror. She'd frown and shake her head. She had always hated his attachment to technology. He just gave a slight smile and leaned back against the seat.

"
We're here," she said a bit too soon. He didn't want to leave the car just yet, but his mother's glare made him jump out of the car and run to the trunk to get his case. She went over to him and hugged him. "Stay safe, Pete. Love you!" He said his 'I love you' back and then went to the person behind the table. He sighed. How he wanted to kill himself. "Peter Jonathan Davies," he said.

Annie Jade Matthews

Outfit:

Annie's eyelids fluttered open, revealing nothing but cool darkness. Outside, waves could be heard rushing whispered goodbyes to the sands of the beach as the tide pulls back and the water recedes. The sun hadn't risen yet, but Annie could never sleep past dawn anyway. Rolling out of soft linen sheets Annie sat at the edge of her bed, toes touching the cool wooden floors. Pieces of sand that had been clinging since the last trip to the beach prickled the bottom Annie's feet as she rubbed what remained of sleep from her eyes.

Stretching and standing on her long legs Annie let out a sigh. Today was the day that she had been waiting for. Today she would be returning to that dreaded camp that her father forced her to attend each summer. However, this time was different. Butterflies of nervous excitement replaced the usual moths of dread flying about in her stomach. Something about disobeying her father gave Annie satisfaction,
if he couldn't even care to say goodbye before I leave for this camp that he was so adamant about me going to, why should it matter if I don't even go? Annie thought to herself as she opened the light wooden door leading out to her second story balcony overlooking the ocean. This escape was to be the highlight of Annie's summer with her closest friends, it was going to be something fun for once.

Annie's body began to fully become awake as it breathed in the salty morning air. She spent most all of her time at the ocean, something about the sun's scorching rays, the bitter water, the soft sand, everything. It made her feel alive, there was no other place that she would rather be. Annie turned to walk back inside her room, the sun would be up within the hour so she had to hurry. Changing into her bathing suit bottoms and wet suit-like top Annie grabbed the towel hanging on her bathroom door from yesterday before exiting her room.

Mornings like these were the reason that Annie loved the sea so much. Sparks of the new day peeking in between clouds in glowing shades of reds, oranges, yellows, pinks, and blues. The mid-day heat arriving slowly, riding the soft breezes teasing with what is to come. As far as Annie was concerned, nothing could be more perfect.

The water was slightly cold as Annie tip-toed her way in. Diving under the waves Annie became surrounded by silence only interrupted by the crashing waves. Floating on her back, Annie stayed in the water until the sun had risen. The waters instantly warming around her as the sea life began waking up with the rising sun.

“Annie!” Someone shouted from the distance, capturing Annie’s wondering mind’s attention. She shifted her weight from being on her back to treading water upright as she turned to face her house. A woman on one of the many balconies stood with her hands cupped around her mouth. “Annie!” the woman yelled once more, “Charles leaves in 30 minutes for your camp!” Annie gave a thumbs up in acknowledgment.

Annie began paddling back to the shore and was back in her spacious house before five minutes had passed. “I’ve made your favorite breakfast, chocolate chocolate chip pancakes, for this joyous occasion.” The woman, Margret whom was the family’s house keeper since before Annie was born, spoke as Annie walked through the glass doors to the kitchen. Annie smiled happily as she gave Margret a hug, “Thank you! You are honestly the best!” Annie clapped her hands as she walked to the plate on the counter and began eating. “You know your father wanted to be here today,” Margret began speaking as Annie cut her off with rolling eyes and a raised eyebrow. Annie swallowed down the last bites of pancake before replying, “You and I both know that he probably didn’t even remember. He is only sending me to this camp because he doesn’t know what to do with me.”

After eating Annie thanked Margret and left to return to her room to get ready and grab her bags. Once in her room Annie took off her damp swimsuit and hung it to dry along with the towel then grabbed the clothes that she had set out for herself the night before as she packed. Annie put on the worn looking black shorts along with a flowy cotton white cut sleeved shirt. She did her makeup very naturally as always and left her hair to dry into their natural beachy waves.

Annie began dragging her suitcase and duffle bag down the stairs as Charles the family’s driver honked his horn from the drive. Opening the tall front door Annie waved and smiled at the very tall and buff Charles whom had gotten out of the car to take Annie’s bags from her. Annie turned to say goodbye to Margret. “I’ll see you soon,” before she could finished the sentence the small woman had gathered Annie into a tight squeeze. “Be careful Annie-bug, don’t let that camp bring you down too much. Who knows maybe you and your friends will find a way to make it fun this year.” Margret spoke to which Annie replied, “I’m sure we will M.” Wriggling out of the hug Annie blew a kiss as she hopped down the front steps to the black car door being held open by Charles. “Thank you.” Annie said as she slid into the seat.

Two and a half hours later the car rolled into the gates of the camp. Annie took a deep breath watching all of the kids hugging tearful parents before leaving them for new adventures. Annie immediately began looking around for any of her own friends as the car came to a stop. “Here we are Annie,” Charles spoke quietly, “Go have some fun. Oh and your father left you something, I put the envelope in the small pouch of your suitcase.” Annie smiled gratefully, “Thank you, I’ll see you soon!” And with her parting words Annie hopped out of the shiny black car and walked around to retrieve her bags from the back. Annie made her way to the check in table. “Annie Matthews.”

Matt Steele

It was that day of the summer, the day when Matt's mother sent him to camp. She always sent him to the same camp every single year and it never changed. She thought that he hated it and Matt wanted her to think that because she would tell her friends and as a result their children would go, he wanted that no more than he wanted to be dead. Matt was already up and was packing around 4:30 am (He always packed for everything last minute). He made sure he had everything he needed, not only for just camp but also for the getaway his friends had planned and invited him to; he made sure that he had his computer, phone, and some cash as those were the necessities.

It was now 5:00 am and Matt was now done packing his stuff and having breakfast. His mother was ready to go and was already in the car waiting for Matt to finish what he was doing. Matt came out the front door wearing his overly-stuffed backpack and got in the car. Before he could put his headphones on his mother started a conversation with him

"So how did you sleep?"

"I slept fine, you?"

"it was okay, adjusting to a different bed is hard you know"

She was referring to her selling her king sized bed in exchange for a queen since there was no need for that large a bed for one person. Matt put on his headphones and played his favorite song: El Urgencia, the song was about getting wasted as a group; he would never do drugs or smoke, it was the reason for his father's death and did not want to share the fate.

Matt cycled through about four bands and enjoyed just about each song and not before long the two arrived at Matt's summer camp. He pretended to be upset that he was there but in reality he could not be happier, they exchanged goodbyes and 'I love you's and she left. Matt walked in with his backpack and let out a concealed grin.

Alex woke up and looked at her phone. "Oh shells!" She yelled trying not to curse. Alex ran around the room searching for her shoes. She quickly got ready and rushed down stairs. She ran past her mother loading her bags and plugging her cell phone into the Aux. Alex raced back upstairs to grab her bag full of her toiletries and then her other one full of food. She glanced at her clock noticing the time. "Gosh, I'm late!" she yelled and then grabbed her charger.

"Hey sweetie!" Her parents said in unison in such a creepy way. Alex just smiled and hugged them both. "I filled your car up." Her dad said as Alex munched on some bacon after gurgling down some milk, "Thanks dad!" She ran and hugged her dad and begged one last time not to go. "Now sweetie you know we had an agreement. Car equals camp; no car no camp." Alex frowned and got in the car. She drove with her music up loud while tapping her fingers on the steering wheel. She pulled in and parked beside a truck. She grabbed her bags and walked up to the sign in table. "Jordan Singletary, ready to go to hell!" The lady looked at her and agreed with her.

no slide Cassidy woke up to Leon singing loudly in the shower. She groaned, loathing her six year old past self for thinking having a room conjoined to her brother's by a bathroom was cool. The thing that ticked her off the most was that Leon was doing it on purpose. He had a nice voice, but right then, at 6:32am, he sang off key Just to annoy her. She grabbed the nearest thing, a stuffed horse named Steve, and chucked it at the door. "Shut up!" Cassidy shouted at Leon, whose response was to sing louder and uglier. Sighing, Cass got up out of bed. She had showered the night before, wanting to hopefully sleep in past the time she was supposed to leave to camp. Guess that plan was out the window. She glared at the restroom door and decided to do her hair while she waited for the demon to get out of the shower.

When Leon finally finished his rendition of Ariana Grande's Break Free and exited the shower, Cass went in and did her morning routine. She dressed and went into Leon's room through the second door. "You ready?" Leon was throwing things into his duffel bag and looked up. "Uh... Yeah." Cass rolled her eyes. "You didn't even pack." Leon mocked her by copying her in a high pitched voice and returning to his packing. "I'll be in the truck" she grumbled as she grabbed her bags and headed downstairs. Cassidy went outside and threw her bags in the back of her truck. Their mother and father weren't home due to their 13th anniversary in which they decided to abandon their children and head to a European tour for the next few weeks. Leon exited the house and locked the door behind him. He threw his bags in the bed along with hers and tossed her a granola bar. She caught it and put it between her teeth so she could climb into the giant black truck. Being 5'0, it was a bit of a challenge. How she saw over the steering wheel was a mystery. Leon climbed in beside her and started to say something about her not being able to reach the petals, but it was drowned out when Cass started the truck and music blasted from the speakers.

They arrived at the camp after about two hours of driving. She parked towards the edge of the campsite just incase the group needed an extra vehicle to get away in. She hopped down and lugged her luggage to the place where they signed in, Leon close behind. "Cassidy Charlotte Evans and Leon Alaric Evans". The lady smiled and nodded, checking the siblings off the list.

Dylan awoke to a ray of sunlight shining on her face. "Another 30 minutes is all I ask," she said groaning. Dylan rolled around in bed for another 10 minutes before finally realizing she couldn't go back to sleep. She threw her blankets aside and lifted her legs off her bed. Today was the first day of camp. She usually wasn't so thrilled about camp to say the least, but this year would be different. She was so excited this year, but she'd had to hide her excitement til camp. Her mother knew she hated camp, and if she was excited, then she'd know something was up. So Dylan planned to act as if she usually would.

Dylan slipped on a pair of ripped white jean shorts, a white bandeau, and a gray spaghetti strap tank. She combed her long blonde hair and carried her luggage downstairs. Her suitcase was heavier than usually. It contained 'everything she needed for camp' as she would tell her mother, but really, it was full of a bunch of sundresses, about ten pairs of bikinis, and many other things she needed for the 'trip'. Dylan dropped her suitcase and Nike duffle bag in front of the front door and made her way to the kitchen.

Her mother didn't make any breakfast, as usual, and was on the phone screaming at businessmen. Dylan grabbed a granola bar and an apple. She pulled out a high chair at the granite counter-top island and took a seat. She munched on her light breakfast and waited for her mother to be done.

"Sorry, hun, I had to deal with some things," her mother said hanging up. "Yeah, you say that every morning....." Dylan said rolling her eyes. Her mother always seemed to neglect her, and they didn't quite get along."Yeah, okay, anyway, how do you feel about camp?" her mother said ignoring her daughter.

"Yeah thanks for sending me there again. You know how much I hate that place, its a total hellhole" Dylan muttered.

No matter how much she told her mother she hated camp, her mother would just keep sending her there. Dylan already knew why she was sent to the camp. Her mother wanted to get her out of the way for summer, so her mother could spend time with her boyfriend. She was so glad she could spend summer with her camp friends without actually being in camp. "Oh c'mon you have friends there," her mother said while giving no effort to actually cheer her daughter up.

"Yeah, anyway, where are you going with your boyfriend this year?" Dylan asked rolling her eyes. "Oh, hun, we are actually going to Maldives! We are so excited. Wish we could bring you along!" her mother said ignoring Dylan's feelings.
Of course you'd bring me! That's why you signed me up to camp. Dylan rolled her eyes stared down at her half eaten apple. She didn't understand why her mother would sign her up for camp if she preferred to bring her along on her romantic getaway. Good thing she planned her own getaway with her friends.

"Anyway, how's dad doing...." Dylan asked trying to casually bring up her father. "Oh honey, you know we don't talk about things like that," her mother said changing the subject. "Now come on, we better get going. I have to get you to that camp of yours," her mother said rushing her daughter.

The two made their way out the front door with Dylan carrying all her luggage. "You know honey, I don't see why you need all
that for camp," her mother said to Dylan. "You know mom, you don't need to wear your pantsuits and heels wherever you go," Dylan said trying to shut her mother up. She threw her duffle-bag and suitcase in her mother's fancy BMW convertible and took a seat in the shot gun.

The ride to camp felt longer than expected. It was probably her excitement that made the ride feel longer. She couldn't believe she managed to spend half her debit card with out being caught. Trees and hills passed by for what like an hour before her mother finally pulled into the parking lot. Dylan got out of the car slightly embarrassed. Many of the campers where staring at her mother's car in awe, and she wished she could just run and hide. She couldn't understand her mother's need of showing off every penny she owned. Her friends knew of her mother as the 'rich witch', and some even called her that behind her back. Dylan would say it to her face if she could. She walked over to the trunk and hauled out her suitcase and duffle bag. She looped her duffle bag on her arm and dragged her suitcase behind her."Love you!" her mother called. Dylan sighed, "Love you too, mom."

Dylan made her way to the sign-in table. "Dylan Avalon Hyland,' she said to the lady. She looked around at all the guys she would mess with this summer. She wasn't sure if she was even going to play her games after what happened with Rhoney last year. Plus, there was also someone she had her eyes on for a while. They were friends and were both frequently involved in the Cassie and Parker drama. Dylan hoped they get to bond even more this summer, and maybe she could even share her feelings with him.

Phoebe L. "Phoenix" Whistler

cute-outfits-with-jeans-41.jpg

Phoenix grumbled as she stirred slowly, stretching her arms above her head with a large, unsilenced yawn. Reaching over, she fumbled for her alarm and slammed it off, irritated. She sat up, attempting to run a hand through her knotted hair until she winced painfully as she tugged a few strands from her scalp.

"It's that time of your again," muttered Phoenix, "to return to that God forsaken hellhole." Rolling her eyes, she flipped back down into her pillow, only jumping up again as the distinct voice that could only be her own mother shouting up the stairs.

"Hurry up, Phoebe dear!" she heard her mother call. "You'll be late at this rate!"

Just thinkingthinking what a shame it would be if she was late for summer camp, Phoenix gathered herself up at last. Brushing her brown waves, detangling with difficulty, she managed to brush it into a fringe half concealing her forehead. Phoenix stood up, wiggling her bare toes on the warm, heat-absorbed carpet of her bedroom. She crossed the room, grabbing a bundle of clothes from the top of the chest of drawers, which she set up especially the previous night.

Approximately twnety minutes later, Phoenix had arrived in the kitchen with a rucksack and her suitcase ready for the camp. She grabbed a chocoalte pain au chocolat from a wooden bowl upon the granite counter, leaving her case at the doorway to the kitchen.

"You should have something bigger for breakfast," she insisted from behind her daughter.

"No, Mom, I'm fine. I'm not that hungry, anyway," Phoenix shrugged. "I suppose who better get going then? I mean I have no choice..." she added in a low voice under her breath.

Her mom nodded and headed out front towards the front room, picking up the car keys along the way. Phoenix followed her, finishing up the last of the chocolatey treat she was eating for her breakfast. As she arrived outside, she pulled open the car door, shoving her case into the trunk before hand, and seating herself in the passenger's seat.

*

Phoenix's mom drove into the parking lot of the summer camp and, as Phoenix stared somewhat absentmindedly from the window, she noticed a few other late arrivals. The car came to a dreaded halt right in front of the entrance — pretty much. Phoenix looked straight ahead and all she could see was a gravel path leading to the main reception cabin.

"Bye, Mom," said Phoenix, climbing out from the car as her mom bid her goodbye in return. Slamming the passenger door shut, she opened the trunk and pulled our her suitcase. The wheels landed with a dull thud on the parking lot tarmac, though masked by another door shutting, this time the trunk. Phoenix trotted up the gravel path and entered the building, walking up to the sign-up table where a woman sat behind the desk, at a computer and tapping away loudly at the keyboard.

"Phoenix Louise Whistler?" stated Phoenix. Briefly, she wondered whether those others from previous years were at camp this year. Perhaps they were; perhaps their parents were also cruel enough to send their children to camp at least two times on the trot.

Watching the woman tick off Callie's name on the clipboard, she nodded her head and motioned for her to walk through. Callie smiled and headed straight towards the outdoor gathering; where she'd found out what cabin she'd be in and who she'd be sleeping with. Unfortunately, they didn't get to make those decisions - which just made coming to Summer camp even worse. Imagine being put in a cabin full off little kids? Blegh. Yes, Callie loved little kids, but spending six weeks with them was a hell no for her. Rolling her suitcase behind her, she looked around and already saw that loads of people were surrounding the bulletin board with a list of names and cabin numbers.
"God dammit," She muttered under her breath and stopped in her tracks, setting her duffle bag on top of her suitcase. And this is why she always came early. "Alright kids, coming through!" And with that, Callie headed towards the crowd of teenagers, shoving and pushing to get to the front.

Finally reaching the front, she let out a small exaggerated sigh, puffing a strand of her out of her face. Using her time wisely, she started her search for her name around the letter 'S' area for 'Saunders'. She ran her finger down the list of names till she stopped to see her name and sliding it to the right, she grinned.
"Cabin 8!" She called out, to no one in particular but she was glad that she got to the front of the bulletin board with no hassle. That was till people start shoving her against it causing her face to squash up against the wood, "Hey hey! Slow down there!" She called out but instead it came out muffled as she tried to escape the hoard of excited kids.

full

"God, never again." Callie grumbled to herself, making her way inside cabin 8 and over to the girls side. Looking around to see if anyone was already inside, she sighed in relief. Finally, some peace and quiet. Although no one was allowed to be in the cabin's yet, she needed to think to organise for the trip. "Alright..." she checked the time on her watch, "There's still about five hours until the bonfire which means I have exactly three hours to get everything in order." she told herself, setting her duffle bag on the bed. Thinking for a moment, Callie grabbed her phone from the backpocket of her shorts. Time to see what and where everyone is up to.

She sat down on the bed and began to make sure that everything was in order - which meant the coach was still coming, their flights were all booked and that she had the keys to the summer house they would be staying at.

"Alright kids! Gather around!" The camp direction called out, catching many of the kids attention. "Welcome to Camp Greenhouse! I bet you've all been waiting for this summer to come along just so you could come here!" She cheered with the biggest smile on her face that you'll probably ever see. "It's 2015 and a fresh new start! Who's excited to get into those activities and get dirty?" A couple cheers from the little kids were heard when she yelled this. All the happiness died down when she suddenly yelled, "Now get your backsides down and give me twenty!" It went silent for a moment till she burst into laughter, "Just kidding, y'all!" The audience, mainly the kids, errupted into laughter. The next thirty minutes or so was just her explaining about what sort of activities would be going on, who were in which cabin and all that stuff.

"The name is Ryan. Ryan Andrew Nyx." He told the woman that stood at the table, signing people in. He shot her a small wink and the young woman couldn't help but blush, "You're in. The gathering is that way." She said in the most quietest voice whilst pointing towards where most of the kids and teenagers were heading. Grinning at the lady, he gave a nod and tapped his cap. "Thank you, thank you." Heading inside the camp, Ryan followed the group of teenagers although he already knew where he was going. He knew every single detail after he explored it one day when he was younger.

Ryan didn't bother on heading towards the bulletin board which was still quite surrounded by mostly everyone. The director was probably planning on reading the list out anyway so he saved himself some hassle. He set his duffle bags down on the bench and stretched,
"Ahhh.. this is going to be boring." He muttered to himself, shaking his head. How the hell was he meant to find his two buddies, Blake and Caden, in the crowd? Giving up, he just plopped down onto the bench. Good thing it wasn't crowdy over here. Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, he pulled it out to see that he had recieved a text from Callie.

I'm here. Already at the gathering.

His attention was suddenly caught by the ginger haired lady that stood on the stage; the camp director.
Great. He thought as she started speaking through the microphone with her high-pitched and annoying voice that made his ears bleed. Ryan always hated this part of camp; the introduction. She always tried her best to get everyone to like her with her not-so-funny jokes. She literally said the same thing every single year. How did everyone still find her jokes funny? Rolling his eyes, he rested his elbows on his knees and his chin into his palm as he looked around for at least someone he knew so that he could drown out the voice of the stupid director.

Spotting a fairly light brown haired girl, Ryan raised his eyebrow slightly. Could it be Dylan? Shrugging, he decided on checking rather than not. If it weren't then he'd never see the girl ever again either way.
"Dylan!" He called out, heading her way. It'd been a while since he'd seen her and she was the first person he spotted. The two weren't exactly best friends but they were fairly close enough to hang out till the others got here. Stopping in front of the girl, he grinned. "Hey Dylan. Excited for another amazing year of summer camp?" He spoke sarcastically, giving her a nod as he greeted her.

Arriving at the camp quite later than the others, Nicky quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and got out the car.
"Dammit! Late.. once again." She muttered and ran her hand through her hair. Her father got out the car in a hurry also, opening the trunk to grab the young girls bags, handing them to her. "Go honey, go! Quick before they close the gates." Pushing the young teenager towards the entrance, Nicky nodded and followed her fathers instructions; walking hurriedly to the entrance.

"Wait, wait!" The blonde called out as she saw the people packing up their papers to head to the gathering. "I'm sorry I'm late." She breathed out as she stood in front of the desk, leaning onto it to catch her breath. "My name... is... Nicky.. Nicky Marks." She nodded her head and ran her hand through her hair, finally managing to speak out her name. "Whoo! Am I tired or what?" Laughing, she gave the lady a smile. "This doesn't seem like your first time being late, hmm, Miss. Marks?" The lady asked her with a raised eyebrow as she pointed to the direction of the gathering. Nicky nodded her head, "Got it."

Dragging her heavy bag behind her, Nicky walked inside the gates and made her way to the outdoor gathering. She could already hear the high pitched voice of the ginger camp director they had. The first person Nicky started to look for was her older cousin, Callie, considering she was the one who came up with the idea to head to Hawaii to spend their six weeks in their summer house. It wasn't an all bad idea. They had cars there and the house was...
huge. Sighing as Nicky searched with her eyes for the red tinted black haired girl, she frowned. Where the hell could she be? She pulled out her from her pocket only to realise she had recieved a text from not only Callie but her father.

I'm here. They've started the introduction.

Deciding to check her fathers text later, she shoved the cellphone back into her pocket and headed towards an empty bench to take a seat to listen in on the woman. Yeah, her bags were loaded and heavy. It wasn't exactly as if she was going to carry them for the next couple hours till the bonfire.

As the woman in the desk pointed to the gathering that seemed to have already started, he sighed. He was too tired for this. And the camp director was just too annoying. All that giddiness in her voice made him sick. But he had to contain himself. So he dragged his suitcase and himself to the gathering. Now all he had to do to not explode is to distract himself. But with what? Well, he could find someone he knew. One of his friends must be already here, right?

He couldn't see with all these people around. The kids were just too much to even focus on anything. And he didn't even know most of the teenagers here, so he didn't know what to do now. He took out his phone, which he silenced, just to check on his friend. Though he was surprised when he found that Callie already sent a text. So he decided to reply.

I'm already here! :) Though I'm feeling more like :(

So was she already here? Were others in her circle of friends already here as well? Not that he was friends with them. He only knew a person or two from them. Still, if her friends were there, that meant he wouldn't have to be lonely. He could just stand with them, not necessarily talking.

An alarm woke Parker up from his uncomfortable position on his bunk bed. "Shit..." he murmured as he got up slowly, rubbing his eyes. As he looked around, he saw there were a few bags in the cabin. All of them were unpacked except for his. He wasn't planning on seeing any of his cabin mates the next day so there was no point in putting his things away.

Parker ruffled his hair and yawned as he dragged his feet to the orientation meeting. When he arrived, he saw a few of his friends already there, giving the camp director death glares. He laughed and resumed a position next to a tree, crossing his arms and leaning his shoulder against it. His eyes danced across the crowd as he looked for other familiar faces. Parker felt himself sigh when his eyes rested upon Callie. She had sent a mass text earlier, which had woken him up from his nap. He didn't bother replying, however, and went back to sleep. If she or anyone else wondered where he was, it wouldn't be too hard to find him.

He continued looking around and noticed a younger boy pulling on a girl's pigtails. Feeling a sense of brotherly responsibility, he walked over and nudged the kid on the forehead. "Hey, kid." Parker said as he crossed his arms and tried to look angry, "Didn't anyone teach you to keep your hands to yourself?"

Caden rode into camp on her special skateboard before the gates were about to close she stopped gracefully in front of the lady that checked everyone in. "Ms. Reese so good to have you back" The lady told her sarcastically and put a fake smile on her face. "Oh it's always good to come back and see you ma'am even if you do get on my nerves..." Caden responded holding both her duffle bags with one hand looking at the lady check her name off. "I hope not to hear about you climbing up trees and doing other reckless things without protection while here Ms. Reese..." She told her "Can't keep promises ma'am..." And with that Caden winked at her and rode off into the camp grounds. She didn't have to look at the bulletin board to know which Cabin she was in, she's been in the same one ever since she attended the camp. And from the looks of all the little kids surrounding the thing she was glad she didn't go near the board. Instead she continued riding before seeing a familiar face, it looked like Ryan but from a distance it was kinda hard to make out his face. Moving a little closer to where her vision was better she smiled and was right it was Ryan and he seemed to be talking to Dylan. She didn't hate the girl or liked her either, she was just...there...with the shake of her head she rode over but stopped when she received a text message from Callie talking about who was on the camp grounds and who wasn't.

I'm here! Just trying not to get sucked into the vortex of the bulletin board

Caden sent the message and went back to riding over to Ryan. She stopped a few feet back and hopped off then carefully placed her bag on the ground. Slowly walking over to him she waited for the right moment and pounced. Latching onto his back Caden smiled in victory "Victory is mine! And so are you dude...you are now my personal horse and you shall take me wherever I want to go..." She told him smiling.

Jabari Onyeka Mensah

Jabari followed the large group of kids and teenagers, keeping to the back. Once they reached the stage and the seats in front, he took a seat, his rolling suitcase placed directly in front of him. As the camp director was talking, spouting childish jokes that probably not even kids would find funny, he scanned the area for anyone he knew. He couldn't see anyone yet. Soon, his eyes landed on Ryan. His eyes darted away from him as fast as they got to him. As if this day couldn't get any more disappointing, Ryan was back. Jaba didn't hate Ryan, they just didn't talk and it made everything awkward last year. He would love for the two of them to be friends again, but that needs two people to work.

He took out his phone and went through his contact list. He remembered getting texts from both AJ and Cassidy about this trip to Hawaii. As fun as it sounded, he was really hesitant. If his parents find out, he would be dead. He also didn't want to be at the camp, making macaroni art and swimming in cold, gross lakes. They both kept pressuring him into coming, but his replies were always 'I'll tell you once we're at camp'. He knew time was up and he had to decide. He packed as if he was going, but his mind didn't want him to go. What if Ryan will be there? How are you two going to get along? What if the two of you start fighting? What if you die in Hawaii? These thoughts and more swam around in his head during the camp orientation. He turned to look at Ryan again and saw that she was talking to someone. During orientation? He really likes to do what he wants. Jaba noticed that a girl was behind him. Whoa, she's pretty cute. Jaba chuckled to himself. Summer love struck early, I suppose. Jaba hoped that girl and Ryan were just friends. As torn as he was with the trip, he could still find time to woo over people he found attractive.

Ava watched silently as the lady at the table check her off the list. "Now if you'll just go over there, you're good," she said with a too-wide smile. Ava silently nodded ever so slightly even though she couldn't help but roll her eyes at her. Turning and walking, she followed the crowd though she veered off and stood to the side, not wanting to get tangled up in the growing crowd around the bulletin board.

Beginning to look around her her friends, she noticed a blonde walk over towards the very familiar face of her own friend, Dylan. She decided not to go over just yet and began looking for any of her other friends, but with no such luck. Noticing more people gathering around that area so she changed her mind. Just as she was about to start walking, she felt her phone vibrate in her back pocket and slid it out, checking the message.

I'm here. I'm about to head over to Dylan, Caden, and Ryan.

Sending the message, Ava put her phone away and pulled her things behind her as she walked over to the small group. As she neared, she set her things down and walked over to Dylan, wrapping her arms around the girl's neck and placing most of her weight on her but not for long. When she let go, she walked around to Caden and did the same who seemed to be doing the same to Ryan. When she finally let go, she stood up straight and smiled widely. "Friends..." She said happily as she looked at them.

Blake waited patiently as the woman checked his name off the paper and directed him towards the bulletin board. Sending her a smile, showing off his pearly whites, he walked into the camp and began looking around for his friends. Hearing his phone chime with a new message, he pulled it out and checked the message.

I just got here. I'm looking for everyone now.

He sent the message and slid his phone back into his pocket before taking a closer look around. His eyes caught onto a wave of dark blue ombré hair and knew automatically that it was Ava. Blake walked over with a smile and ruffled Ryan's hair playfully though he stopped just when he though it might be too much.

He walked over to Dylan and gave her a hug before letting go and peeling Caden off Ryan and giving her and equally long hug. When he let go, he ruffled Ava's hair, earning a groan if disapproval as he watched her smooth it back down. "So how have my lovelies been?" He asked as he turned his attention to Dylan and Caden, a wide smile on his face.

Cassidy had Leon check the bulliten board while she remained behind the hoard of children in safety. Leon returns with a glare for his sister, who smiles sweetly in return. "We're in
Cabin 2" he said with a huff. Cassidy rolled her eyes. "Ugh. That means we're stuck with the Carlton's..." She pouted momentarily before she was reminded of the group's escape to Hawaii. "Oh! Nevermind. We won't be here!" She said to Leon who gave her an apprehensive look. "What? Nobody's paying attention," she said with another roll of her eyes. Leon cleared his throat. "I uh... I'm not going, Charlie". Cass' eyes widened. "What?! Why not?" It was Leon's turn to roll his eyes at his sister's indiscretion. "Because I just don't want to. I'm going to go to the cabin. I'lltake your bags and leave them by the door for when you leave". And with that, Leon left. Cassidy frowned. She really hoped Leon didn't think taking her bags would make her less upset with him.

Cass decided to head to place where the bonfire was. She spotted Jaba sitting n the front and walked over to sit beside him. "Hey, Jaba. How's it going?" She gave her friend a smile and looked around when her phone roared like the t-rex from Jurassic Park. She jumped and then giggled, pulling out her phone.

Present! At the bonfire place sitting with Jaba in the front row.

Cassidy looked around to see if she could spot Callie or anyone else she knew. She saw Caden and waved. After looking around for a few moments more, she returned her phone to her pocket and turned to Jaba. "Sorry about that..." She offered a smile to her friend.

Matt walked over to the woman who was checking everybody in and started to say his name but she was familiar with him from all the years before and pointed him towards the bulletin board. Matt acknowledged what she said and ultimately did not care, he began to walk towards it because he had nowhere else to go when he felt a vibration in his pocket. It was a text from the person who organized the getaway, Matt didn't actually know her but other people told her Matt's number and she invited him.
