The Good Ship (Flighter and Oit)

Todd sighed and rolled his eyes when Drianne got annoyed with him, but could she really blame him for being cautious? He held her hand as she held his and made sure to keep an eye on Airii and Eirii. The mist, as they moved through the cave, was disturbing to Todd. It was unnatural. It did not move like mist did, no. It moved almost like a living creature, itself.

When the voice came, Todd was startled and his grip on Drianne's hand tightened, though only for a second before his grip returned to normal and he shouted back to the voice.

"We aren't travelers!" Todd attempted to explain, "We're looking for the moon mages! Are you one of them? Can you help us?"

~

Walter, after some time, reached the cave with the strange mist. The cave was off-putting to him and he dared not enter. It was instinctual, really. He had no reason anyway. It was certainly a cave, not a tunnel, and his prey was inside. All he had to do was wait for him and his friends to come out. The young man decided to conceal himself. Keep himself hidden. He climbed one of the trees easily with the help of his claws and watched below. He'll wait. A good hunter strikes at the right opportunity.

"...Moon mages, eh? Well, I haven't been called that in quiite a whiiile, most people call me a loon." All at once, the mist vanished, and the figure revealed itself. He was cloaked in blue with golden embroidery. No body parts of his were even viewable, except for his eyes which seemed to have a glow to them. Multi-colored, one was silver and the other blue. He narrowed his eyes at the visitors.

"What do you want? I'm quite a busy man, so hurry up now."

Airii and Eirii were... Intimidated... By this man. Airii stepped back a bit to shy away behind Drianne and Todd.

Drianne turned to Todd and nodded, knocking him a little forward.

Todd did not let himself get intimidated by this man -- though he was once again startled when Drianne shoved him forward. He stumbled a bit before regaining his footing and looking at the man in front of him, squinting to see if he could find any of his facial features within that hood of his. Anything besides his eyes, to see if he was even human. Failing this, Todd decided to just go ahead and answer the Moon Mage's question.

"The Queen, uh... Queen Chrysaorus has been possessed by Abbesus. We need your help. You're the only one who can. Please?"

Todd didn't know what they'd be able to do if he said no. Though then again, why would he say no? The kingdom - hell - the whole world is in danger from this.

"Abbessus?" The cloaked man pondered, then nodded. "Yes, this was to be expected. That Chrysaorus is so willing to place her life in peril that she forgets her self worth. I can help, but I cannot leave this cave. And so I will show you how to force Abbessus' will out of her." He turned around, pointing deeper into the cave. "You folks go inside. If things go correctly, you should find what you are looking for. Well, atleast one of you will."

"But beware!" He shouted, raising a practically wrinkle-less finger into the air. "Time does not progress normally within this cave. If you take too long, why, it might be too late to save the kingdom."

((Hhhaaa

Go inside Walttt!))

((d'oh))

Todd listened to the strange man and nodded. If they had to go further into the cave, if they had to face whatever this man would send their way, then Todd would do it. He and the others will save Chrysaorus. This, he swore.

But he heard footsteps behind him, the sound of a blade getting unsheathed. Walter had become impatient and had entered the cave to finish the job. Todd grabbed at his own sword.

"Get in front of me!" He shouted to the others, then turned and parried Walt's attack. The attack was so fast it actually sent him stumbling back, though he caught himself before he fell on the girls. He was about to strike back when he saw exactly who his attacked was.

"Walt...?" He said in barely a whisper, eyes widened in disbelief. Then his mouth broke into a relieved smile and he laughed a bit, even after his best friend had attacked him, "You're alive! Y-you're okay! I-I thought... I thought I -- W-well, what does that matter, huh? I'm just so glad you're alright!" He stepped forward to hug him, so happy to know he didn't actually kill his best friend, but Walter backed away. Todd raised a brow. He was confused by this and now frustrated because he couldn't see Walter's face. He couldn't read expression! Was he upset with him? Did he blame Todd for attacking him?

"A-Are you alright? What's -- What was that attack all about? Are... Are you even Walt?" He asked. Walter laughed. Todd's grin dropped.

"I don't know how you know me, mate. This would make an interesting conversation, this whole 'knowing me' subject, right? It's really too bad..."

"Too bad?" Todd dared to ask. And then he felt Walt's katana shoved right through his abdomen. He let out a choked gasped and it didn't take long before he felt himself grow colder as his blood flowed easily out of his body -- Especially after Walter ripped the katana back out of him and knocked him down.

"Too bad I had to do that." Walter chuckled, and that chuckle turned into a mad laughter. Todd attempted to keep his blood in with a hand, but he could still feel his life ebbing away. How could this have happened? What was wrong with Walt? Would he do anything to the girls? To the Moon Mage? No, no, no... He couldn't let him, he couldn't...

Todd was now barely keeping himself from passing out. The blood was pooling out from under him way too fast.

The three girls had experienced a multitude of emotions from then on. They hasn't expected what had happened next, or what happened afterwards.

Someone entered the cave. Drianne could feel it, his footsteps. She turned around, surprised, and lept towards Todd's back along with the other two girls. In an instant, the two swords clashed against eachother. Enemy? Drianne peeked her head out to look.

The person was scary, wearing some outfit and mask that reminded her of some common associations for death. The fact that she saw nothing of his face was the scariest thing.

But, Todd was surprisingly friendly with the man. Was he a friend? The girls sure didn't think so.

The katana was jabbed right through Todd's abdomen. The girls saw that it came out of the other end of Todd's body and shrieked in terror, backing away suddenly with tears in their eyes. "Eirii, cover your eyes!" Airii screamed. "Oh, goodness, Todd!" Drianne yelled, nearly breathless.

"Oh, hush up you kids." The Moon Mage stepped in. "I can't quite heal people, but if I awaken the beast within him the wound would disappear. And so I will do so. Back away."

The girls, faces filled with tears and sweat, did as told and retreated a few yards. The Moon Mage pointed a finger at Todd, muttering a little gibberish, before shining a white beam into Todd's body.

Walter's grin widened when he heard the screams, reveling in their fear, and in Todd's pain, watching the shorter man writhe and twitch as he slowly and painfully died. We was about to turn around when the hooded man mentioned awakening a "beast within", and he shot a dark glare at the mage -- Not that he could see it. What the bleeding shit was that man doing to his target? Why... What was the beam? Walter backed away a step. He held on tightly to his katana's handle. His fear was apparent. Todd could smell it.

The smell of it was intoxicating to Todd as he painfully transformed at a faster rate than he was used to. The pain was sharper, more fierce and certainly unrelenting. It hurt, it hurt too much! The transformation would only make his wounds worse -- It will kill him, surely! He was screaming, screaming and hollering as he was forced into his bestial form. He didn't even realize that the transformation was healing him. His bones grew, his muscles twisted and bulged, his teeth sharpened. Fur sprouted. Within a few minutes, his horrific transformation ended with a now-fully-turned lupine Todd, who let out a loud, monstrous howl (which was only amplified by the pained human cry within). This was followed by a feral roar in Walter's direction.

Walter froze. This was the monster that killed him. This was him. That giant wolf beast. He shook from the fear such a monster awakened within him. Fight or flight. Fight or flight. Fight. Try to fight. Please, please try to fight.

Walter, with an uncharacteristic battle cry, swung his katana at Todd's chest. Todd was quick to respond, grabbing Walter's arm before the sword hit him.

"N-no! Please! Please, let me go!" Walter begged, that fear now strangling his voice. Todd complied, throwing Walter far away from the group. Walt fell, then, after wincing from the pain that now shot up and down his body, scrambled back up onto his feet and ran. Time for flight.

Todd howled. This man was prey. His prey. And his prey won't get away from him just like that. Todd's speed was demonic. He was faster than a horse and caught up to Walt easily, slamming into him from behind and knocking him to the ground. Walt fell, then turned himself onto his back to see Todd rearing up right in front of him, wolfish face twisted with inhuman rage. He had both arms raised, ready to slam them down onto Walter. Ready to crush him.

"N-no!" He yelped. This was it. He was going to die again, and by the creature that murdered him the first time, "Please, please not again! Don't do this to me again!" Listening to his voice, one could tell that he was so utterly terrified at this point that he was crying. Todd had been turned into Walter's biggest fear, his greatest nightmare. Walt didn't want to die again. No, no he didn't want to feel so cold ever again.

Todd hesitated when he heard how scared Walter was of him. He must have gotten to the more human part of Todd, gotten to that guilt he still felt over killing him before, because Todd lingered long enough to let Walter get to his feet once more. This time, Todd did not chase after Walter. He let the man escape. The only hostility he showed towards the running cat-man was a snarling growl and a bristled mane.

The three girls huddled into a little group, away from the madness and untimely events. They could hear the pain Todd was going through during the transformation; his screaming and hollering gave it away. But they dared not to look, they knew looking would only end up in them regretting it.

"Sis, what's going on?" Eirii asked, crying the most out of the three.

"Don't worry about it." Airii asked, with her bottom lip quivering in her mouth when she hit it, eyes also shaking.

"Todd... Todd..." Drianne sobbed.

They listened to the sounds of crashing and thrashing, and most of all the other man's pleas for mercy. And then when they finally heard the man running away for a quick retreat, they all froze. What now?

Drianne rose her head out of the huddling, bravely, to have a look of what happened. She could see the Mage, but when she saw but a large clawed hand she put her head back. "It's not over, I don't think!"

The Mage sighed. "That was... Okay." He turned to the children, who were doing fine besides the fact that they were scared out of their minds. Then he looked at Todd, fully wolfed out. "Now, what will I do with you."

Walter ran. He couldn't just go back to Chrysaorus with Todd still alive. She wouldn't -- She wouldn't help him. As much as he felt bad doing so, Walter knew he'd have to lie. In any case, he was far too scared out of his wits to focus on anything more than running back to the kingdom he had first landed in. At least, he thought as he attempted to look on the bright side, he didn't wet his pants during the encounter. At least he still had that single shred of dignity. The small bit of dignity that wasn't effected by his blubbering to a mindless animal.

As he ran, Walter removed his mask to wipe the tears that had collected on his face, as well as the sweat on his forehead. All of that fear boiled into rage. How dare they humiliate him like that. And what were they even doing in that cave, anyway??

It was all a trap. His inner voice told him, they knew you were coming and so they prepared for you. They deserve pain. They deserve nothing but suffering. You'll get them next time.

"Yes..." Walter hissed to himself as he ran, "... Next time."

~

For a few seconds, Todd was blissfully unaware of everyone else, huffing and snorting like a bull. His drool pushed through his bared teeth and stepped onto the ground like a person checking a pool's temperature. Then he heard what Drianne and the Mage said, and his head whipped around so fast that those long strings of drool flew off his lips and onto the ground about three yards away from him. He spotted them. Prey.

In the darkness, his eyes, which glowed a light blue, stood out greatly, along with his glistening teeth. He let out another loud roar, notifying his next meal that he could see them. Then he ran at them. Each time his feet hit the ground, it let out a large boom. When he lept into the air at them, he intended to kill them all. His eyes showed no humanity, no mercy. There was nothing there, nothing but a monster, an uncontrollable rage-beast that had been forced out to hunt, to hunt everything and devour everyone.

The Moon Mage wasn't sure on what to do. He'd put up some sort of field between them and the wolf, but his thinking wasn't quick enough and the wolf was too close. As far as morals gone, he wanted to protect the girls as much as he could. He leaned in forward, ready to sacrifice himself, but...

Drianne threw herself at Todd, recklessly. With an animalistic face just as bad as Todd's, she slid under Todd's airborne body. She forced her feet into the air, forced her sandals into Todd's thighs, and used the force to pull herself up onto Todd's feet. She was small, and quite light, but it was just enough to keep Todd from reaching the two sisters and the Moon Mage. She grabbed on tightly, while they were now on the floor, to his leg, even though her two little hands didn't span his huge leg, and she turned them harshly to burn him a bit.

The Moon Mage was astonished. Even though he had seen a certain amount of specialty within the girl, he completely waved over the possibility that she was blessed. He looked to the two girls by her side, also stunned. "... We need to lead him into the cave. The goddess will take care of her. Come on, come on, let's go!" The Moon Mage took the two girls by the hands and pulled them to go, until they finally got a hand on their senses and ran along with the Mage.

(("Wtf Drianne".

There has to be a trope for this. Or two. There has to.))

Todd wasn't quite sure what happened. All he knew was that he was dizzy, on the ground, and his prey was getting away. He did not like what one of the small ones did to his leg, and he snarled in pain when she acted against him. He snarled at the group when they ran from him. And then he got himself back on his feet and gave chase.

He had their scent. They won't get away from him -- Not when he was so very hungry.

~

Walter took the rest of the day getting back to the castle. He hoped that Chrysaorus would take his word for it when he tells her he killed Todd. He hoped she wouldn't ask for proof. Walter supposed that the prick's blood on his blade was enough to convince the woman.

"I'm back!" He announced, dragging his feet, as he was incredibly exhausted and still shaking a little from his encounter with the monster.

The group kept running and running, but for the wolf, things seemed to get odd. First, their scents completely vanished from the air. The environment got hazy, and warped... Distorted. Then everything stopped. The cave suddenly vanished. So did the girls. In the cave's place was something more like an ancient ruin-type of circular room(which I don't folly describing on this thing), with the light sky dropping from above. It didn't seem like it was night anymore.

"Ah, what is that! I didn't make that, did I...?" A girl stepped out from nowhere in particular, and approached Todd.

--

"Are we now? That's nice, Walter." Chrysaorus suddenly appeared infront of Walter, like she hadn't been there before. She had her hands crossed behind her back, and she was smiling. Well, she was usually smiling, so it didn't make much of a difference.

Abbessus knew all too well that Todd wasn't dead, but he decided to play along as he did with Todd. "You killed him already?" She asked, tilting her head.

Todd kept running despite his losing of his prey's scents. This did not discourage him, no, this only made the werewolf angrier. He grew frustrated and confused when the cave warped itself and forced him into a circular room, complete with moss and an eerie atmosphere. Where did his prey go?! Todd barked and roared, furious, until he heard another girl's voice. He turned to the girl and immediately grew hostile, fur bristling again, standing on his legs and roaring again (this time at the girl), tensing his claws. More prey.

More prey.

He lunged at her, saliva once more flying everywhere. He needed to eat, he needed to eat!

~

Walter was spooked by Chrysaorus's sudden appearance, wondering where the hell she came from. The previous encounter had made him jumpy, and he immediately drew his now-bloodstained blade, ready to strike at Chrysaorus -- Until he saw that it was just her.

"O-Oh! Blimey, you gave me quite the scare!" He commented, laughing her sudden appearance off, "Anyway, I got the target. impaled him right through his gut, as you can see by the blood on my katana, here." He then told her before putting his katana away.

"Good riddance, that one. He's the one who had murdered me before, as it turns out." He then hissed, pulling off his mask to get some fresher air. He was angry, he was upset, and it showed in his eyes. If he were to run into that Todd person again, he'll rip him apart. And next time he won't cheat by turning into a wolf monster. Walter wouldn't give him such an opportunity.

"Ah, I really don't know what this is. I'm sure I didn't make it. Well, I guess I have to learn about it." The girl, happy to see that something had entered her quarters, ran at the beast as well when it leaped at her. She wasn't afraid at all, but thrilled. She flicked it in the forehead, oddly causing it's body to stop in mid air right where it was. She leaned back from her own doing, and then circled around the beast before coming back to it's face.

She leaned in again, this time touching a little of his snout. She brought her face in up to his, then peered a bit into his thoughts in a comprehensible way. "Tell me, beast, what are you?" She said, through thought.

--

"Oh. Is that so?" Chrysaorus' smile turned into a frown. "Walter, I do not like liars." She said, just loud enough for him to hear. "...Walter... I know about you. Do you want your memories back?" Chrysaorus made a drastic change with her usual smile. It was contorted, lobsided, and it spanned most of her face. It seemed unnatural. "I will give them back to you. I will. In due time. But... But you will not enjoy them, not one bit."

Todd did not enjoy being trapped as he was, and though he couldn't do anything about it, his face remained with an enraged expression. And then the girl entered his mind, and what he could move, barely - his eyes - widened as his bestial self was temporarily fought off by the man within.

"T-Todd... Huntings..." His thoughts responded, though he sounded weak, so very weak, "W-werewolf... Can't think... Please, help me..." Along with the thoughts were very loud and animalistic noises. His mind was a wild thing in this state.

~

Walter scoffed at Chrysaorus's first comment, but listened to the rest before giving his answer. He grew uncomfortable by her strange, out-of-proportion smile. It was not something a human could pull off, he thought to himself. He was also confused by what she said last. That he would not enjoy his memories.

"It's better than walking around blindly, believe me." He told the strange and unnerving woman, then added, "And you call me a liar! I take offense to that! Not a single thing I told you wasn't true, Chrysaorus."

Kill her now, do it, kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her --

"-- I specifically told you that I got this Todd fellow. I stabbed him through the abdomen. See any falsities there, yet? The proof was on my katana. I never said, however --" His grew spiteful, his eyes burning with hatred, "-- That the cor-bleeding wanker died from the attack. You never told me he could turn into a monster, and by not handing me this information, surely that counts as lying, for by withholding the truth in any manner is lying. Lying, madam, is certainly never welcome, nor is hypocrisy or endangering an employee by doing so!"

kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her kill her

"And furthermore!!" He was now screaming at her, his fury knowing no bounds. His hand was still tightly clenching his katana, even when it had been put away, "He had three little girls with him, and a hooded man!! You made it seem like he was alone, you -- You twit!! You expect me to do you this favor?? Well then you don't go out of your way to get me bleeding ripped to shreds by a wolf man!!"

"What? Has something possessed you? Oh, poor guy." The girl frowned. With a tap on the wolf's cheek, Todd had returned back to normal, but still had been floating in mid-air. "Are you okay now? I forced away the other conscience within you. "

((Gods and Dogs))

--

((I read over that again after I skimmed over the newer post, I was like, "Oh crap, I had a feeling Rianne would have done that". ))

"Hah. I love it, how the creatures of this planet warp their words, to make it seem that they're innocent. You've fooled me. Congratulations. But... I specifically said to go kill him. Not injure him. By using the word, 'got', I simply implied that you were speaking of killing him."

"Were you scared? Did the beast frighten you? I'm sure it did."

"And, if withholding the truth means you are a liar, then why did you not say that Todd wasn't dead, hmm? I'm sure I'm not the only hypocrite here."

Chrysaorus saw that he had his hand on his katana, and chuckled. "You can kill me, but it will get you nowhere. I am a queen. Spill as much blood out of this body as you want. But my guards will soon overwhelm you and dispose of you. If you want to live, I suggest you do as I say."

The forced transformation back was a painful one, and even through the paralysis, Todd couldn't help but let out small noises of pain as he turned human again. Now that he could sort of see where he was, he looked around as best as he could, amazed by the sudden change in scenery.

"Th-thank you," He thought to her, "Yeah, I'm alright now. Uh, since I'm not all violent and angry now, can you let me down?"

~

Walter deflated a bit as Chrysaorus countered him and what he screamed at her. Queen, right, she was the queen. he couldn't kill her, no, killing her would end up with a very dead Walter Hobbes. She didn't need to taunt him about his fear of Todd. That was certainly uncalled for.

"You know," Walter snarled, "So what if I am scared of what Todd can become? You still aren't justified for not telling me about it. You certainly can't blame me for not being able to kill him like that, either. I was lucky he didn't snap me like a twig!" Then another thing was sent to the front of his mind. Something that greatly bothered him.

"He seemed to know me, you know. He seemed happy to see me. But I know he killed me before, I know it was him. So why did he act like we were buddies? What else aren't you telling me, Chrysaorus? Why did he act the way he did when I was sent to kill him? Don't -- Don't you tell me I can find out later, either, because he's my target. I need to know exactly who it is I'm killing and why I'm doing so! i need to know why he knows me."

The girl nodded and complied, releasing her otherworldly grip and causing Todd to fall down onto the ground. She kneeled down, and offered a friendly hand to him on the floor. "Todd Huntings(>_> <_<), what is a werewolf? I am pretty sure I did not make one. I do not know what is going on, which is unsettling."

--

"Well, this certainly seems like a puzzle! I'm sure you can figure out yourself if you thought enough, put together the pieces, looked at the big picture. And while I would want to return your memories now and spoil the whole puzzle, I'm afraid I still can't do that, because Todd is still alive." Chrysaorus closed her eyes, and tapped on the side of her head. She hadn't gotten much information on Todd besides her questioning of him, which made Abbessus a bit agitated.

"He's a werewolf. In werewolf state he has no control. Apparently, he killed his friend in that form... Does this ring any bells, Walter? It's quite the hint."

He crashed to the ground with a yelp but forced himself back up. He looked down and... Well, all of his clothes had been ripped off his body. This time, all of them, every last bit of them. His face reddened in embarrassment and he hid himself from the woman in front of him. Covering himself with his hands, turning to the side. God, he hated being a werewolf. If it wasn't the fear of hurting someone, it was the embarrassment that came the morning after... Though it certainly wasn't morning, and it hadn't been a full moon. That moon mage forced him into that state to save his life. But at what cost?

"U-Uh..." Todd attempted to answer the woman's question despite the relentless embarrassment and distracting thoughts. Him possibly slaughtering the girls would have utterly destroyed him if it were true.

"A-A werewolf is a normal person like me, but we turn into what you just saw before during a full moon and against our will. We have... N-no control over ourselves in that form. I think... I think I'm the only werewolf here in this world. I'm not... From here."

He was getting worried.

"I-I need to know if -- If my group is safe -- And, and Walter, I need to know if he's okay too. There's no blood on my hands but, but they aren't here...!" He was starting to panic now. He had completely forgotten why he had come into this cave in the first place.

~

Walter was a smart enough guy to put two and two together. His eyes widened and he backed away from the queen.

"You... You tried to get me to kill my friend?" And then he went into screaming mode again, "Why?? Why would you ask me of all people to do that?? Why didn't you get someone else?? God -- It all makes sense now! Why -- Why he was friendly with me, and -- And oh god, I stabbed him! Oh no, no, no, I need to -- I need to go back...! I need to apologize immediately, and -- Christ, I don't know, I just don't know...!!"

He grit his teeth and held his head when the voice acted up again, screaming at him, making him groan a bit from the racket that dark part of him caused. How could he have been so foolish? Blindly following this woman without really knowing her intentions -- What was he thinking??

"Your group?... Drianne, Airii, Eirii, and Seyllus are fine. They have found out that you had been lost in the labrynth, and are now resting. Walter... I don't know of a Walter... But I do see another one... Another one who isn't from here. If this is your Walter, he is still alive. But, potentially unsafe... " The girl crossed her arms, seemingly thinking. "Something is wrong with Chrysaorus..."

((Almost all of my Ship characters have double letters in their name. Chrysaorus is the only exception. :T))

--

Chrysaorus shrugged. "You came before me when the problem had occurred, so naturally I had asked you. But now that you know, what do you plan to do? You could very well run away from me for Todd--" A large slamming noise had sounded from behind Walter, "--but I sealed the door shut. I suppose I could use you as a hostage... Just in case he gets in my way, and I know he will."

Todd was relieved to hear that the others were alright, though he became worried when Walt was apparently in danger. Chrysaorus, the woman had mentioned, and it all clicked. Walter had been somehow tricked by Abbesus. Why Walt didn't recognize Todd, he couldn't understand, but knowing he needed help was enough to make Todd panic.

"Y-Yes! Yes, something is wrong with Chrysaorus!" Todd exclaimed, "We came here to learn how to help her -- Can you teach me? Do you know how?" He was desperate. It showed on his face and in his tone.

~

Walter hissed at Chrysaorus like an angry cat, his pupils once more narrowing to slits. The nerve of that woman! For some reason, the very idea of being locked in an area greatly angered Walter.

"No one takes Walter Hobbes hostage, whether you're a queen or or a common crook!" He yelled, then withdrew his katana and slashed at the woman with the speed of a bullet. What an idiot he was to allow himself to be manipulated like that. Well, now he'll make up for it -- And if the guards come, then so be it. He'll kill them all too.

"Help her from what?" She rose a thick eyebrow at Todd. Something was wrong, and that was quite obvious. But he gone about her teaching him things. "...Perhaps an explanation would be sufficient."

--

It seemed like her head was lobbed off. It seemed like a quick hit, to her neck. It seemed like her head had fell off of her body and rolled to the ground. But then, her head appeared back on her head, as if it hadn't been cut off at all. Chrysaorus felt over her neck, and then calmly grinned at Walter. "That felt like it hurt. But you should try again."

Now Todd needed to explain -- Okay, no problem! He could explain!

"Chry -- Sh-she -- Abbessus got to her! He made her go crazy, I-I think he possessed her, or something! Like a full-on 'The Exorcist' type of possession! How do we help her?? Everyone's doomed if we don't help her -- She's doomed if we don't help her!"

~

His rage boiled over, and Walter found himself repeatedly stabbing Chrysaorus, infuriated by her, not caring that his beheading didn't even work. He then did something he would have never done as a human. He dropped his katana. Others weren't even allowed to touch his katana, but he dropped it like it was nothing. Then the claws came out.

Walter tore at Chrysaorus with his claws, dunking his hands into her blood. He was all-instinct at the moment, his anger now leading his actions. He snarled at her like a lion, then he tore out her jugular with his teeth for good measure. He tasted her blood and by god, it tasted good.

"Abbessus? No, he's a sweetie. A little curious, but a sweetie. I will take your word for it, though." The girl twirled around, waltzing around in the large room by herself. "I love Escherisa, and their dances... I think this is how they do it. I am very satisfied. Oh! Excuse my mumbling." She turned to Todd. "I don't know if I can help. I might be able to follow your presence, but that's it. And I cannot pass on godly abilities to mortals. As much as I do want to save Escherisa, no, Rouphoria." She tapped on her chin a few times... Then decided on something. "Abbessus is not perfect. And I expect Chrysaorus to be resisting Abbessus. She is strong enough to do so. Todd Huntings, I need you to do me the favor of strengthening her will. How, I'll leave that to you."

--

The blood seemed to ooze out of her. Her skin was seemingly ripped apart, as her innards were seemingly torn. Her neck seemed to be bitten into. But, again, nothing happened. Yes, the blood was very well inside his mouth, but Chrysaorus was okay somehow. She was on the floor with Walter ontop of her. "...Oh my. Was that a tiger just now? Or a kitten?"

Really? That was it? He travels all this way and falls down a cliff for the sake of reaching this cave, and this woman tells him that she can't help? She tells him to head back and maybe persuade Chrysaorus to fight a little bit harder? That was the absolute biggest bullshit he ever -- Wait. Godly abilities?

"... Kolliah?" Todd asked after some thinking, trying to remember the goddess's name, then raising a brow at her.
