The Good Ship (Flighter and Oit)

Airii hopped back down from the tree, now seeing that the group was fleeing. Maybe she should have used a bomb? But in the middle of the pressure all she could think of was being safe along with her sister and possibly everyone else. She looked back at the pig-bull once more, it trying its best to escape the darkness, before heading along with the group away from it.

"That got pretty bad pretty fast. " She said, catching up with them.

"That was a Volgull. They're not from here, I don't know why one showed up in the forest... By the looks of it, it probably scared all the monkeys away, too..." Drianne frowned, and twiddled her fingers. "I'm glad none of us got hurt, but the poor animal..."

Todd ran for his life with the others until they were at a safe enough distance away from the creature. He was furious with the demon woman, but what really set him off, what really ground his gears, was Drianne's little "poor animal" comment. He didn't want to snap at her, but the rant - the fury of which was apparent immediately - came out before he could stop it.

"'Poor animal'??" He snarled at her. He sounded wolfish again, and he twitched a little whilst trying to contain the rest of his rage, "What about poor us?? We were nearly killed by that thing!"

He then turned towards Seiva, looking her right in those red eyes with his hardened blue ones, usually being cold, but now were alit with the flames of burning infuriation. His next words were spat out with hatred and disgust.

"And you! You were the cause of all this! If you hadn't attacked the damn thing, it wouldn't have attacked us -If you had listened to Drianne -- One of us could have been killed and it would have been all your fault! If we're going to freaking survive this place, we need to listen to the girl that actually lives in this world! You -- You -- You idiot woman-demon-thing!"

He huffed, still glaring at her after the end of his yelling. Shaking.

Nadia frowned and stood next to Drianne almost protectively, glaring at Todd, "Don't be mad with her for caring about an animal. The thing got hurt, and was probably scared." She shook her head, "Besides, all of us are fine. Calm down please Todd." Seiva was looking up into Todd's eyes blankly. She felt bad for causing trouble, but didn't like being yelled at one bit. "Listen, pup," she began calmly, "I did not attack it at first. The fire was at first simply to startle it and get it to move off. I didn't want us stuck here. Second thing. As long as Drianne is okay, and Nadia is okay, why would I care? I don't have any obligations to protect the rest of you. Third. I am by no means an idiot. A lapse in judgement, which I do admit it was a poor choice, does not make an idiot. I am far older than you probably are, and have learned much. Fourth and final. Calm down before you shift from anger, pup. I don't want to have some fluffball on my hands. A werewolf can change by more than just the moon, you know."

Airii saw that Eirii was moving a little among the group's racket, and she gave them a small, and definitely nervous, smile. "Hey guys, let's not get all... Crazy. We've only just started the journey, and I'd really like to not waste time or attract more unwanted attention..."

Drianne nodded along, even though she regretted saying something before.

"I don't wanna be the person to remind you or inform you, whatever the case, but we dunno the exact location of these moon mages. Maybe the psychic lady over there can strike us a few hints, but besides that we are just wandering aimlessly. We gotta keep our cool, you know!... Here, have a snack or something..." Airii stuck a hand in the side pocket of her bookbag. In it was a small red gelatin-like substance wrapped in a clear wrapping. She had wanted to eat it herself, but she felt like it would probably help Todd more, and so she tossed it at him before turning in place and heading off in that direction.

Drianne gulped, and ran along with the two girls, hoping that things afterward would be for the better.

Todd snarled at Seiva from the "pup" comment, but her comment about "shifting from anger" shot an arrow of worry through his heart. Anxiety gripped at him, washing away that anger faster than you could say "oh shit". Was this true? Then was he potentially putting everyone at risk all the time by having such a short fuse? The very thought scared him.

But -- But he didn't feel any different when he got angry. Maybe he just never got angry enough?

He barely noticed when he was handed the red gelatin cube, murmuring a quiet "Thanks," his thoughts distant. Then he saw what he was holding, and Todd blinked, confused. Ah, no, he didn't need this. He handed it back to Airii.

"Hey... Hey, it's alright, I'm fine. Save this for when someone really needs it, okay?"

Airii glanced at Todd for a minute, looking him over, determining if he actually didn't need it. He didn't seem all that pissed anymore, and she wondered how he could've calmed down so quickly. Maybe it was something the demon girl said? She didn't know, and internally shrugged that thought off.

"Well, if you say so. These things are pretty delicious." Airii gave him a smug look, before placing a gloved hand on the gelatin block. Easily, she removed the clear wrapping around it, tossing it away behind her, letting it fall slowly to the ground. Then, all at once, she stuck the red jiggling cube into her mouth and pushed it all down, eating it as fast as she removed it's wrapping. She gave a little squee in delight, then kept going.

Meanwhile, in the castle ~

Walter Hobbes came from a small portal in the air and fell hard onto the solid castle ground. The impact forced a pained and quite surprised yelp out of him, but he quickly stumbled to his feet and looked around, gasping for air. He was light-headed, so he took off his mask and hood -- No need to block air from his lungs. Wait, why was he wearing a mask? What was this outfit of his? He couldn't remember. Everything hurt, but he didn't think he broke anything. Walt had no idea what had happened. He couldn't remember anything - and that really was anything - other than his name and his skills in fighting. Walter Hobbes. Walter Hobbes. A master in sword fighting with a katana. No, wait! He did remember something! He remembered a monkey-man, and he remembered laughter. A horrible, horrible laughter. And... And before that --

Walter clutched his throat, feeling around, panicked, for some kind of supposedly-fatal slash. Nothing was there. Not a thing but -- No, no, he felt it. An awful scar across his throat. Noticeable. Yes, then it wasn't some kind of dream. He was attacked and killed by a monster. And now, Walt had no memory of who he is, of where he came from, and especially where he was now.

"H-hello...?" Walter called out, wondering if he was alone in this large place. He felt so exhausted, like he had been woken up from a very deep sleep. He supposed this was what it felt like to have been raised from the dead. Though something was off. Walter knew he was human, but he didn't feel human. As he absent-minded-ly looked around the big area he had been thrown into, his eyes caught the bright light fixture on the ceiling and he winced, looking away. Like a cat, his pupils narrowed to slits -- not that he could notice this. He did notice, however, when he clenched his hands into tight, nervous fists, and was startled when he was pricked by - what was this? - Claws! Black claws that had slid out at the tips of his fingers, below his nails!

Walt was so terribly, terribly confused. He practiced a bit with the claws, relaxing his hand then tensing it up again. Retracting his claws, letting them out again, over and over, horrified by his mutation. What else may be inhuman about him? Walter'd rather not find out.

(It really is so interesting... but I think I want to drop out of it. Nothing against the two of you, just lost the motivation to continue this story, and I don't want to drag you two down.)

((Alrighty. It's okay, Kina.))

As for the group, they had prevailed on for quite a while, walking where they thought they should have.

They came to a cliff in the road. Drianne stared out into the cliff along with Airii and Eirii, who had soon woke up and got caught up with everyone.

Down below, a black cloud of smog and dust blurred all vision of what shown below.

All of a sudden, the edge of the cliff broke, causing Todd, Drianne, Airii, and Eirii to fall down into the smog below, leaving Sevia and Nadia from behind to watch them fall into the abyss.

((Meh. ~ w~))

"Please, release your reins on me... I can't... I can't..." Chrysaorus grasped at her chest with a hand. She wobbled, near to unconscious, against the wall which she used to support herself as she lurked through her castle. Her heart pounded, her mind ached, her muscles shook, and it was just plain difficult to hang on to her sanity. She could feel Abbessus there, watching her walk, waiting for just the right moment to appear and fully take her mind.

She stopped. She felt some other force there, just ready to appear and take her by surprise. Right in the middle of the hall, a portal appeared, and down came a man who Chrysaorus couldn't quite recognize. He gave a little grunt as he fell, then looked over his body like it wasn't his own. Did he not see her? She continued forward, then winced, and stepped back. Abbessus was planning something with him and she knew it.

The fall completely took Todd by surprise, and he was certain it did the same for the others. When they fell, he grabbed onto the kids and held onto them as best as he could before finding the side of the cliff with his feet and sliding the rest of the way down -- Before tumbling near the bottom and rolling on the ground for about two yards.

Todd shakily got up and brushed himself off, then walked over to do the same to Drianne and then the others. He offered Drianne, specifically, his hand to help her up.

"Is everyone all right?" He asked, before looking behind him at the broken cliff, coughing from the smog, "The hell was that...? Looks like we should just... Hope they can find us later. Hrm." He then then turned back to the others, hand still extended to help Drianne up.

~

When Walter finally saw the woman at the top of the steps, he gasped, taking a step back. Was she dangerous? His eyes were soon dilated from the fear the new woman momentarily jabbed into his heart. He hand went to his katana as his mind screamed at him, begged him to spill blood. She knows you're afraid, Walter the dark voice taunted, end it quickly and she doesn't have to hurt you.

What -- Where was that voice even coming from -- his head?? It's demands were tempting, Walt was sad to admit, but he fought off the urge to do as it commanded and removed his hand from the katana's handle.

He stared at the woman, and the longer he stared, the more his pupils returned to their normal size.

"C-Can you help me? I-I don't -- I don't know where I am, or -- or even where I came from. I'm terribly confused. Any, uh, any help would be great. Please." He then realized he was being rude, having not even given the woman his name and all, "M-my name's Walter, by the way, sorry. Walter Hobbes."

Drianne and the girls let out terrified shrieks as they fell to the depths below. Thankfully, Todd had taken them in mid-air and caused them to land safely onto the ground, but still roughly.

When they arrived, Drianne staggered up onto her knees. She looked up, to see Todd offering to help her up. She shook her head and stood up, but found that there was a cut on her leg. She winced accordingly, but she didn't want Todd to worry about it.

The two girls had to get up themselves. Airii took care of herself then cleaned out Eirii's eyes which were filled with dirt from the cliff. "We're alright..." Airii said, in response to Todd. "Just dirty. Thank ya'."

"Where are we?" Drianne asked, worried.

--

Walter Hobbes? What kind of odd phenomenon was this? First, a werewolf appeared in her world, and now another who apparently had claws and, odd-looking eyes... She gave him a weak look and with each step she took towards him she gave a grunt of pain. She needed to help him, without Abbessus interfering.

Walter Hobbes, it was a name that was a little familiar. She remembered... She remembered Todd speaking o him as his best friend, and the one he had bit as a werewolf. "You're not dead, Walter?" Her first question, but then she realized that it wasn't such a great thing to start off saying.

"Ah, my apologies... Walter, I am Chrysaorus. You are in Escherisa... And you appeared in my lobby by unknown means. Walter... Do you know a person by the name of 'Todd Huntings'?"

Todd looked around the place, still coughing from flying dust and the smog. Drianne had asked where they were and he gave a short, nervous laugh. She didn't know where they were. They were boned, it seemed. Completely screwed.

"I wish I could answer that, Drianne, god, I wish I could" He told her quietly, "West, I guess. We're west." He then glanced down and noticed her cut knee, "Hey. We should treat that so it doesn't get infected." He said, "Do we have any medical supplies?"

If they did, then that was definitely good for them. Todd had taken a sports medical class in his sophomore and half of his junior year of college -- Before the virus came and wiped everything out. Todd knew that if he needed to, he could act as the team's medic... For minor injuries, at least.

~

When Walter was asked if he wasn't dead, his hand went to his throat again. That image, that horrible awful vision of that monster ripping his throat out returned and he ended up whimpering at the thought, trying to shake it away, backing up once again away from Chrysaorus.

At least she apologized, and then she mentioned a Todd Huntings person. He wondered why she'd think he'd know him. He'd never heard the name before in his life -- Or at least, Walter thought he didn't.

"Sorry, I haven't the faintest idea of who that person is." He replied, wondering if this was some kind of test and he had just failed it. Well, if she attacks you, you can easily overtake her. The voice told him, you're strong enough, surely. You can make her suffer. You can make everyone suffer --

"No..." Walter told himself weakly, feeling that exhaustion pressing harder on him now, "No, no no no no..." The voice persisted, and Walter clutched his head, shaking. What the hell was wrong with him? You saw her, Walter, you saw how weak she was. Kill her before she kills you. She's planning to -- You know it!

Walter only shook his head harder, still shaking.

Drianne watched as Todd laughed, albeit in a nervous way. He then said that he didn't know. Well, of course he wouldn't know. He lost his memory, right? He had seen the cut, even though she didn't want him to worry about it. But... An infection? "What's an infection?" Drianne asked.

"I have... Stuff." Stated the nearly knocked-up Airii, who found the smog to be quite choking. "But I dunno if it has medical uses. I have... This burning water, cloth, and soothing paste... Maybe you can use that?"

--

"You don't?" Well, Chrysaorus was surprised. But Abbessus wasn't. He knew he lost his memory, and within Chrysaorus' mind he laughed. Oh, how wonderful this is, he thought, Queen, don't mess things up. This is perfect.

She could hear him chatter with himself, telling himself no, as she approached him. "Walter, I will not hurt you. But, can you remember anything? Besides your name?" She needed to make sure that there was a possibility that the two people were connected.

Todd was a bit surprised that Drianne had no idea what an infection was. He wasn't sure if it was because she had lived in safety behind castle walls or if this world was simply not as advanced, medically, as Earth was. When Airii told him what they had, Todd figured it was the former case.

"An infection is when bacteria gets into your cut, there, and messes with it. It can get you pretty sick." Todd told Drianne, then looked over and saw that Airii was having a hard time breathing, "Hoo boy..." Todd sighed -- When ended up making him cough again, roughly, "Alright, we'll deal with the cut later -- Let's get out of this smog and dust."

He picked Drianne up so she didn't have to walk on her injured leg and walked with the others out of the thick and unbreathable air.

~

Walter's mouth flickered into a nervous smile for a moment before dropping back into a frown. She had told him that she would not hurt him, but this, Walter was no longer worried about. She seemed harmless enough, but he was terrified of going along with voice in his head, terrified of hurting her.

Then she asked if he knew anything besides his name. Walter slowly shook his head at her.

"No, no... I can't remember much. Well, I do remember a few things, but just a few. I-I know how to use this katana I have, I know I'm supposed to be human, and I know that I had my throat torn out by a -- A monster. I-it sounds silly, doesn't it?" He laughed nervously. Unlike Todd's laugh, this went on for a good few seconds, "I-I mean, I mean, I shouldn't even be alive, and -- And here I am!"

Drianne, Airii, and Eirii each nodded. Airii carried Eirii princess style-- the way she preferred, through the smog while Todd carried Drianne himself to avoid having Drianne walk on her injury.

When they escaped the smog, they came across something quite amazing. It was a damp, rainforesty area. All around there were guiding plants that lit with blue lights. Glowing insects danced to and fro, complimenting the scenery. It smelled of nice perfume that, once you smelled it, it gave you a light-headed and light-weighted feeling. Drianne leaned in forward, clearly amazed. "I know where we are... I know!" She exclaimed.

((I cannot words on my iPod. I neeeed my computer sobb))

--

"Monster, Eh?" Chrysaorus nodded. Yes, this was the Walter Todd had spoke about. Todd would have been happy to find that Walter was actually alive, but she had worries. One, that scar over his neck. Two, Walter's condition. And three, her own condition. "I see. Well, Walter, if you will allow me to guide you, I will properly take care of you. And, perhaps, help with that amnesia of yours. But, I'd have a favor--" Favor? Chrysaorus didn't want to say that. She could feel Abbessus trying to mix up he thoughts. "Yes, I'd have a favor to ask of you. We will talk about this when I bring you where I want you to..."

Todd was happy to get out of smog, and the wet and light air felt good and his somewhat bruised skin. That tumble they had to go through certainly roughed him up, especially since he took most of the fall for the girls with him. Drianne got excited by their new location. She knew where they were! Good, great news -- So then maybe they can be pointed into the right direction.

"Hey, that's great!" Todd told Drianne, expressing his own excitement, "Good work, Drianne -- Now you just go ahead and tell us while I help fix up that cut of yours."

He took the medical supplies from Airii and Eirii and dabbed a sponge with the alcohol.

"Alright, this is going to sting a little, but trust me, it helps. It kills the germs." He reassured her, then started dabbing at her cut with the wet sponge. One he was done with that, he applied the gauze and then the bandages, working quickly and efficiently, not minding having to sit on the cold and wet ground while doing this.

~

Walter was happy to find that this woman, this Chrysaorus person, was willing to help him with his problem. And apparently she had a favor. Well that was no problem. Walter was willing to do anything for this woman, seeing as she was being incredibly friendly to him.

"Thank you so much." He told her, his voice recovering some strength but still sounding a bit meek. Walter picked up his mask and wondered whether or not he should just put it on. No, may as well hold it. The mask was frightening. He wouldn't want to give off the appearance of a psychotic killer, now would he?

"Lead me to wherever you want, Chrysaorus. I'll be right behind you." He gave her a salute and a goofy smile. Amnesiac or no, it was still Walt, personality and all.

Drianne gave a little smile. Todd seemed to be glad as well, seeing as Drianne knew where they were. But... She wasn't as obligatory on giving them information on it. She was passionate about the place, but... She preferred not to talk about it, for personal reasons.

"Well, I'd love to tell you and all... But I can't, it's personal to me." She said, as the sopped sponge was placed on the cut. She winced a little. It had hurt as said, but tolerable. She didn't know these things actually did something when used in this way.

--

Chrysaorus nodded, and as said she led Walter back down the hall that she had previously progressed through. By now, she wasn't even moving her body, it was Abbessus. She opened the door, into a large and spacious room, lighted well, but blank. Inside were two plain white chairs that were barely visible in the whiteness of the background. "Please, take a seat Walter." She said, smiling, even though she really didn't want to.

Todd was almost completely finished when Drianne told him that she couldn't say why she knew this place, why she was so happy to be here. He gave her a knowing smile. Todd understood. Some people just got attached to things or people for extremely private reasons. Todd himself had latched onto the activity of free running because his father was very passionate about it. And, well, he lost his father when he was very young. Free running, to him, made Todd feel closer to him than when he was just walking on the ground.

He did not know Drianne's reasons, but he knew she'd rather he not just go about questioning her.

"So long as you know how to get us back on track, kid." Todd told her just as he tied up the bandages. He gave her a little pat on the shoulder, then stood, wiping off his lower back, which was now incredibly wet from the grass.

meanwhile

Walter found himself being led to a very strange place. The blinding white made him uncomfortable and the grip he had on his mask grew tighter. He wondered what this favor could possibly be. What could a know-nothing like him possibly do for Chrysaorus?

Despite the room's best efforts to make him feel nervous, Walter did as he was told and sat down in one of the white chairs. He fiddled with his katana, wondering where he could have gotten such a weapon, then looked back at Chrysaorus, waiting for her, his reddish-brown eyes filled with confusion. Confusion and a deeply hidden madness.

"Okay!" Drianne nodded. "I'll do my best." She hopped onto her injured foot, testing it, before looking over to the two girls. "May I lead?" She asked them, with a hopeful smile.

"Knock yourself out." Airii said, stepping out of the way. Drianne nodded and started walking off, the way she remembered. Airii and Eirii followed along, with Todd. If all gone well, Drianne thought, they would have Chrysaorus cured in no time.

--

Chrysaorus shut the door behind her, and almost gracefully stepped over to the chair infront of Walter. She sat down, brushed her hair back, then fixated her gaze upon his reddish-brown eyes. She picked up the insanity, but Abbessus refused to let her react to it. "Walter, I don't really desire to explain myself, as it is a waste of time... However, I might be able to restore your memories. Normally I'd just help you and get whatever information that is willingly given to me, but... I cannot establish a good tie to my... Magic. You see, there is a man gone loose, probably outside of this castle... Outside of this kingdom even. And I need him killed. Right now I see you are pretty handy with that sword," she said, mentioning the sword she saw on him as she entered, "but I need this person to be killed before any major magic can be done. If you kill this man, then I will be able to restore your memories." Chrysaorus waved a finger in the air. A small, but golden image of Todd's face appeared infron of her. "I'm sorry for putting you through this so quickly, but it can't be helped..."

As they walked, Todd got a chance to really look at and appreciate the environment that they had found themselves in. The grass glistened, flowers practically glowed with their bright colors, the rainforest was teeming with life, the chirps of insects and birds giving this away. Todd lightly dragged his hand across a tree, feeling the bark under his fingers and smiling a little at the feeling. Maybe it was him or maybe it was his wolf side, but Todd really enjoyed nature and could appreciate the beauty of it.

They continued to walk for a bit before reaching a cave filled with mist. Todd raised a brow as he looked at it. What a strange cave. He wondered what may be inside.

"Yo, hey, Drianne, do you know what that is?" He asked her.

~

Walter was surprised by Chrysaorus's magic, having not expected such a thing. Still, he studied Todd's features while he still could. For some reason, he felt like he knew the man, but Walt figured he shouldn't look to far into it. He couldn't trust his own missing chunks of memory at the moment. Anyone could look familiar, really.

When Walt heard that the offer for this job was the restoration of his memories, it didn't take long for him to make up his mind.

"That's not a problem at all, actually." Walter replied, "So I kill this guy and you can help me remember everything? Ms. Chrysaorus, you've got yourself a deal." He leaned in and shook her hand, then he held his mask up to stare at it for a long few seconds. After some internal struggle, he put it on, as well as his hood. When he spoke, his voice seemed to natural switch off to a sinister, hissing sort of voice.

"I'll be sure he dies. And I'll be sure he dies painfully."

Drianne nodded, seeing that they met with the mist-filled cave. "Yes. I do know. " She said, quietly. But she couldn't help but wonder if this was where the group intended to go. She turned to Todd, and decided to ask him. "Todd, before I ask that we go in, I need to know how we're going to save Chry."

--

Chrysaorus began to nod slowly, against her will, and shook Walter's hand. "I'll be looking forward to it. And, good luck!"

((I'm sorry I was distracted by drawing aughhhh one linerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ))

Todd froze up at Drianne's question. He was so determined to save The Queen that he hadn't really come up with much of a plan on how to do it. He stood there for a bit, thinking, before he ended up shaking his head. No, no he had no idea.

"I..." He started, but didn't quite know how to explain, "I... I honestly thought those moon magic-y guys would, uh, know what to do."

He was a bit nervous. Was that really the plan? Find someone to do all the work? And what if they couldn't do all the work, anyway?

~

Walter nodded, then stood up and walked out. He could track that man down, he bet. He was part cat now, right? Surely this meant he could be frighteningly good at tracking down his target. His prey. And really, he was correct. It was only a matter of time before he was following every step that man made, somehow knowing his scent, knowing it, as if it were something he's experienced before.

He was fast in this new body. This, Walter took advantage of. Fast and agile. The young man enjoyed the wind against his mask and clothes as he ran and jumped long distances. His target shall soon feel the merciless, cold steel of his blade.

Drianne nodded. She understood, but it wasn't quite the answer she wanted to hear. Not many knew about the moon mages' methoding, and she was pretty sure he didn't... He had amnesia, didn't he?

"Okay. A fair warning, once we step in to the deep parts of this cave we may be split apart. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not sure what will happen... But it should help. In getting Chry back to normal..... Will we proceed?"

Todd didn't like the idea of getting separated from the others, especially not in a cave. What if there were creatures in there? What if they hurt the kids? He didn't like it, he just didn't like it. But if Drianne said it wasn't a bad thing, and she's seemingly been in this cave before, then Todd knew he had to trust her. Besides, what choice did they have?

"Alright, we'll do this cave thing. And this is going to help Chrysaorus, because -- Because moon mages, right? Alright, let's stay close together. Um, let's attempt to avoid getting separated as best as we can."

~

It didn't take long for Walt to reach the cliff that the others had fallen down. It was interesting, having discovered other scents while he was tracking them down. Two went in another direction while Todd's scent seemingly stops short of the cliff, as well as the three others with him. Walter figured he and his teammates must have stepped off. Perhaps the mysterious smog hanging around the area had blocked their vision? Yes, that must have been it. And then they fell.

Walter jumped down and gracefully slid down the cliff, landing much better than Todd had. His suspicions had been confirmed. The scents were mixed with the moisture in the air and on the ground, but it was still pretty apparent. Soon he'll reach his target, and then he'll have his memories back.

"Todd, I said it's fine if we get separated!" Drianne moaned. She tug him on forward, wanting to get this over with and done. She seemed pretty worried about this, if you put her seriousness aside.

Airii put her hands to her hips and huffed. She looked at the cave, squinted at it, it just didn't seem all that safe to her. Yeah, it was a cave, but what mostly put her off was the mist that had oddly floated free from it. She glanced down at her little sister, who tilted her head back at her in confusion.

"Aren't we going to go, sis?"

"Umm, yeah..." But Airii heard something. She did a double take behind her, worryingly, but saw that a flock of birds were escaping from a tree. She passed it off as just nothing, then walked backwards into the cave with her sister's hand in her's.

When they entered, it was quite difficult to see. Things were only viewable from a yard radius before being shut off from viewing by the mist. Drianne had Todd's hand in one hand, and she lightly grazed her hand along the cave's wall with the other. She had remembered about the cave a few years back.

"Who goes there?" A voice boomed through the cave, follow by a cough and a wheeze. "If you're those travelers again, git!"
