The Good Ship (Flighter and Oit)

Todd snorted when the girl got worked up over him not believing her at first. Well how could he, after that warm welcome the Queen gave him? In the back of his mind, he couldn't help but worry for Drianne. The poor girl was stuck with the now-possessed Chrysaorus -- Why hadn't he gone to her first? To take her out of the castle? Todd felt like an idiot now. He may have just risked a small girl's life. He was nervous. It showed. He was anxious-looking. He moved around a lot as he stood there.

When the new girl came up from behind him, Todd let out a startled yelp. She had asked what was wrong with the queen, and naturally, the older one answered her. Still, the new girl already met Chrysaorus? It seemed that now, doing so was like Russian roulette. A huge risk no matter what.

"Okay, but hey, how do we fix the Queen?" He asked, "You can't just ignore that -- That's an important question!"

She had been nice to him, this Queen Chrysaorus. He felt that it was unfair for her to suffer such a fate.

"Finally. I was beginning to wonder if you were deaf," Seiva said, looking over Chrysaorus straight on now, "What do you think I could help with? I am stuck here for now anyways. I am looking for my sudo-father, so I realm jump. Dunno where he actually went. Its been... huh. A few thousand years since anyone saw him?" She shrugged, but on the inside really wanted to cry again about it. Hades was her only father figure she still had, and he up and disappeared.

-------

Nadia stared at Todd, "Hello Sir. Sorry to startle you, by the way. My name is Nadia." Her attention moved again to the two in front of them, "Possessed? Oh. Well that should be interesting..." Her brow furrowed and she bit her lip, thinking of Seiva, "Well. She is with my friend right now. Seiva. She's a demoness, but doesn't necessarily want to hurt anyone, so don't worry too much." Her attention was again at Todd, "Fix it? Well. You exorcise it. Which means you need a religious figure of some kind. That sort of thing could get messy though... Hmm..."

"Well..." Chrysaorus turned and gave Sevia a pained look. "There's a man, looking for some of the royal riches, and I'm afraid of him spreading some propaganda about me and causing a ruckus in my kingdom. I need advice; how should I go about this?~"

--

"Yeah, possessed. And naturally we'd have to exorcise it, but a god possessed her! And I can't really think of anyone in the kingdom who can do that... There might be a few moon mages still alive that can help, but I'm not sure where they would be." Airii frowned.

((Sorrry sorry))

Apparently there was indeed a way to fix this, but it didn't sound very easy. Of course not -- Because why would something like this ever be easy? Todd rubbed his neck. He still felt nervous.

"You know, there's a little girl in the castle that -- Well, I think we should bring her along if we're going to go searching for mystical moon-men, y'know? She's not safe in that castle." There was worry in his expression. In his voice. Todd always liked children. If it wasn't for the fact that he was a violent, unstable being, Todd was certain he'd be a great father.

Todd looked around at the crowded marketplace. Would any of these people even know, though, where some lunar wizards were holed up in? He wanted to stop this problem before it began. He wanted to be sure Chrysaorus could be saved. Maybe it was out of sheer desperation and loneliness, but Todd kinda liked her. He'd rather she not end up destroying her own kingdom.

Todd recalled when Walter was possessed by a god. Hoo boy, was that a mess.

"Well... there is one other solution..." Nadia said, but squirmed visibly, not liking the idea of it, "But let's try looking for the moon guys first. Lunar priests or whatever. Seiva should be fine on her own. She is more than capable..." The idea she had was still on her mind though, and she looked down at the floor, going over it in her head. "A god... that is really.... messy.... and dangerous..." Nadia said, still looking down, clearly hiding something.

---------------

"One man? Against a Queen?" Seiva said, scoffing, "Come now. You must have a better hold over your kingdom than that. If he spreads rumors, most would think he was crazy. No one would believe you are possessed." She chuckled, "Oops, did I say that aloud? I don't know the situation at all, nor do I really care. I am a demon too, our kind tends to do that, and you are kind of obvious." Seiva shrugged, smiling at the interesting events, "Anyways, I would say monitor, but ignore at the same time. It does not sound bad enough to take action yet."

"Humph." So she knew after all. But it didn't matter much, not like this person was an enemy quite yet. "I have a feeling this person will become more of a nuicance later on, and so my first tjought is to get rid of him first thing. But, the problem is, he's hiding amongst the citizens. And so I cannot take care of him that easily."

--

Airii nodded at the lady, agreeing. "We should start there... But, umm... Is there something on your mind? Killing the Queen?"

((Meh I got laz again.))

"We are not killing the queen!" Todd immediately objected. That was to be avoided at all costs.

Still, to look for moon priests. Where would they even start? Where would a couple of moon priests run off to, and why were they hiding in the first place? Who would they ask for information?

"Hey, where do we start, you guys? And -- And hey, I still don't know you two's names do I?" He told the two thieves.

Nadia looked at the two girls, and sighed, "Seiva could sort of pull him out of her. That could result in him taking over her though... although that would make for a great story, this isn't a story. I would rather avoid that." She shook her head, "And I was not planning on killing the que-" At Todd's last question, Nadia's eyes sort of glazed over, and she said, "West," in a distant voice.

-----------

"You could invite him over and poison him slowly, claim it was an attempt at your life, and he saved you," Seiva offered, staring up at the ceiling now, "Or you could just leave it be for now. He may become a nuisance, but you are the queen." She looked back at the Queen again quickly, "Can't you just have a warrant out for an arrest? Say he is to go on trial for something. I don't know what. It would keep him busy."

Airii shrugged at the two. "Killing her is another possibility, even of it isn't all that desirable. I do like her a bit. But this is serious." She turned to her little sister, who had fallen asleep again while they were talking. "Again?" Airii took Eirii and carried her onto her back, securing her hands and legs around her body. She looked at Todd, then Nadia. "Okay, guys. I'm Airii, this is Eirii here. Your names?"

--

"Even if I did invite him, he wouldn't believe it were the person this body belongs to. Even if he would come, he would be skeptical. I can, however, put a warrant out there for him for conversing and cooperating with a thief... Ah, was it a thief... It doesn't matter. I'll make him a murderer, if I have to." Chrysaorus nodded. "I'll just have to get the word out. Now, if you just stay here while I get a servant..."

Todd raised a brow when the new girl said that little "west". West? Was that an answer to his previous question? Then the older thief spoke.

Todd didn't like that the older girl had thought killing the queen was an actual option. Of course it wasn't! Even if it was the only way, Todd didn't think he could bring himself to do such a thing! And of course, she told him their names, and asked for his and the new girl's.

"I'm Todd. Sorry about punching you earlier. And about your nose." He apologized, "Hey, uh, the new girl just said 'west' in case you didn't hear that. Hey new girl! What do you mean by 'west'? West like, that's which way we should head to get to the lunar priest guys? Because that would be great if we go west and find them and quickly end this, right?"

Todd looked up to locate where the rising moon was. It was nearly full -- A waning moon, thankfully, though it did explain Todd's jumpiness. The more moonlight shone on him, the more wild he would get, building up to the full moon, and, well, that was the worst.

Her eyes were still sort of glossed over when she looked at Todd, "West is the direction your hearts picked. I cannot say what is there, only that there is something there. Something important..." She still stared at Todd, "Beast in man, man in beast. How odd the relation, though how simple it can be. Do you control the beast, or does the beast control you?" And with that, she was back to normal, shaking her head, "Owwww I hate that so much sometimes. Did I say anything weird??? And shouldn't we get going?"

----------------

Seiva looked up at the Queen, and motioned for her to wait, "Or you could just tell him to come, lest innocents get hurt? He sounds like someone with a lot of morals. Just, make sure he knows its you, but others wouldn't." She smiled, feeling a little bad actually for helping, but excited. She hadn't had this much fun in a good hundred years or more.

"Eh?" Airii tilted her head at Todd. No, she didn't quite hear Nadia say 'West', probably because she was putting Eirii on her back. She shrugged. "I guess that's the direction we're heading, then. Even if it's still in the castle..." She turned again, to Nadia, for she hasn't gotten he name yet, but she continued on with her psychic-rambling that Airii found a bit hard to understand. Man in beast? She gave Todd a 'Do you understand what she's saying?' look, then turned back to Nadia, who seemed back to normal as she did so.

"Weelll, okay...?" Airii raised an eyebrow. "Your name, by the way."

--

Chrysaorus stopped to listen more, and she sighed. " I don't have fast messengers. Atleast, that's what this person knows." Chrysaorus waved her off, then continued on to look for a servant. Why couldn't she find one? Well, there was one she knew was pretty stationary in her room...

Todd had a momentary heart attack when the new girl spoke of his lycanthropy. She knew. She knew, how did she know?? Todd figured she must have special powers of some kind. He also realized that if he was going to travel with these people, they should know about his little problem. Would they reject him? No, they couldn't. They needed him. Right? They needed him?

"Let's say," He began quietly, "I have this thing inside me. And that thing is a monster that's very hard to control -- This is all theoretically speaking, by the way. Anyway, let's just imagine I have this thing inside me, and it breaks loose one night and you all had to stop me before I hurt anyone. Would you be able to stop me without killing me, and if so, how?" He then quickly added, "This is completely random by the way."

Todd glanced at the rising moon, tapping his foot rapidly. He could feel his blood boiling under its glow. If he wasn't careful, it could effect his mood in a very negative way.

"Myself alone? No. I could distract you though. Seiva could stop you though," Nadia said, matter of fact, and turned to Airii and Eirii, "My name is Nadia. Nadia Keinslei. I apologize for whatever I had said. Again, I am half-banshee, so I am psychic. Sometimes I really can't control it though." She looked to Todd again, and smiled sweetly, "Anyways, with your theoretical statement, quite frankly I am used to things like that. When you live in hell, you get used to people snapping. Even Seiva has nearly killed me a few times." She seemed happy when talking about Seiva, no matter what they were saying. If it was about Seiva, there was probably a smile on her face.

----------------

Seiva just stayed this time and shrugged, in all honesty, to her, this Queen's issue wasn't hers. She didn't care how it turned out, she just wanted to find Hades, and bring him home. Then her mind turned to dwell on what Nadia might be doing at this point, and she laid on a couch, falling asleep quickly. She was a light sleeper though, and was very alert, even in sleep.

"Same with me," Airii declared, "I'm not very strong. But I suppose I can lead you somewhere secluded, or maybe knock you out with poison gas?" She mumbled the last part quietly, honestly wanting to not have mentioned the gas. Especially when it was "theoretical". She didn't want to have to waste it.

"... Okay... Nice to meet you, you guys. Now, are we going to go? There's no time to loose, especially with a queen that wants your head."

--

Chrysaorus retraced her steps, arriving back at the main lobby, arriving at a very familiar room. She knocked a certain way on the door, then entered herself before having the little girl inside address her. "Drianne, I'm going to have you spread the word this time. Public speaking, an hour from now. Also, have there be a warrant for Todd... He... Killed a person..."

Drianne tilted her head at Chrysaorus. She was acting weird. "...Okay..." She cut out a little of her fabric, then turned to the door, but before she could say anything about the warrant the queen was gone.

Todd was happy to hear that they seemingly had a non-lethal plan for him if this little trip of theirs took three weeks or more. He'll be sure to tell them about his problem later. Todd believed they'd at least appreciate a heads up. A future warning. Airii expressed her concerns about dawdling around in the marketplace, and Todd nodded, agreeing.

"Let's go, then." Came his simple reply. Todd wondered how long it would take for the kingdom to turn against them. No doubt Abbessus will use Chrysaorus to make them seem like criminals. Todd was still worried for Drianne, and this worry kept him from moving.

"Wait." He suddenly said, "Wait, we have to go back for someone. Well, I have to go back for someone. You three stay here." And he suddenly ran off, back to the castle. He had to save the little tailor. If she was injured or killed because he didn't let her come with them, he'd never forgive himself.

Nadia looked at Todd as he ran off, sighing inwardly, "Alas, I have to go back for someone as well... Seiva is still there, and expects me back. She can handle herself, especially against a human body, but she would like to know the negative implications." She nodded politely to the two girls, then was gone, teleporting back to the castle. As she got there, Seiva was just waking up from her nap, and she smiled up at Nadia.

"Hello there," Seiva said, sitting up, "Did you have a good time looking about? Sorry I slept." Nadia just shook it off, and sighed, "The queen is possessed." Seiva nodded, furrowing her brow, "Well. Yes. I found that much obvious." Nadia nodded, but sighed, a little nervous, "Yes, but apparently it is not a good thing at all. Besides, that poor girl inside, don't you think we should help her?" Seiva looked at Nadia and shrugged, "None of my business, but I suppose I might as well help if I can while we are here. You know how hard it is to realm jump."

With that, she walked off to go find the Queen, and found Drianne instead. "Hello," Nadia said, speaking first for once, which startled Seiva, so she said nothing. "Do you know where the Queen is, miss Drianne?" Seiva bit her lower lip, thinking, 'Oh great. She is pulling her psychic thing again...'

Airii watched the two, with puffy cheeks, as they headed back to the castle to retrieve someone before they left. Airii would have better enjoyed it had they been ready beforehand, since going into the castle now was pretty dangerous. On the other hand, this gave her and her little sister time to prepare for the journey ahead. "I'll just have to pack up my things, then come back here..." Airii nodded. That's what she would do. Making sure Eirii was still sleeping and secure on her back, Airii ran off, temporarily leaving the melon stand.

Drianne worked on her scarf for a while, but eventually she got tired of the knotting and pulling of the string. She knew she had to go spread the word of the public speaking in an hour, and also the warrant for Todd, who she couldn't quite believe killed an innocent. Slipping on a pair of sandals with white straps, she shimmied out of her room and back into the hallway, where she then found a group of her fellow maids and butlers.

"There's a public speaking in an hour, contact the horn-blower! Also, we need to put up a warrant for... Todd... And we need an artist rendering of him."

"Will do, Drianne." The maids and butlers nodded, then went on their way to do just that. Drianne turned to head back to her room, but was interrupted as two girls headed her way. And she was surprised to hear that one of them knew her name. "U-Um, I don't know where Chry is... But... How do you know my name...?"

The moon was rising higher, the night sparkling with its light. Todd managed to sneak into the castle, his steps careful and as noiseless as he could make them. avoiding the eyes of the watchful guards. He'd rather just straight-up kill them -- Or at least, that would be far easier, but then he'd give Abbessus a reason to put a bounty on his head.

Once he was inside, he snuck to a seemingly empty hall, ran down it, turned a corner, and nearly crashed right into Drianne and Nadia, stopping himself just in time to avoid knocking them both over. And now this new girl -- Woman, more like, was with them. Todd swore under his breath and hoped she wasn't a witness of any sort. Someone who could get him in trouble.

"Drianne...!" He spoke to her quietly, "We need to go, we need to get out of here -- Come with me, the queen's possessed by - by Abbessus. Don't laugh. Don't get angry. I'm not lying. You're not safe here."

He glanced at the woman with the horns, unsure of who she was or if she was even a part of this world. She didn't look like anyone in the kingdom, really. Then again, who was he to judge? He had only been here for a day.

Seiva smiled at Todd, unsure who he was really, but used her glamour suddenly to hide her horns, and continue to hide her wings. She looked at Drianne, "Hmm, he is quite right. You probably are not safe." She looked over Todd some more, "Oh. You must be the boy she spoke of. If so, you will have a warrant out for you soon. I hadn't know she was bad at all, so I helped her think of how to bring you in. I apologize." Her voice was calm, no stress in it in the least. Instead she sounded sort of amused.

Nadia sighed, looking at Todd and Seiva, then promptly ignored them, "I am psychic. I know that sounds odd dear, but I just proved it to you. We must get out of here though, and preferably with you in toe. The Queen is not well, but we will make her better again. That I promise you."

Drianne wasn't expecting the man to turn the corner, or bump into them for that matter. Even though it was a pretty light push Drianne still fell to the floor on account of her very small physique and weight, that came along with her shortness.

It was Todd, and he seemed a bit on edge, which didn't help the thought that he actually killed someone...

And then he and the lady who mysteriously knew her name by "psychic" means were talking about the queen being possessed...

Drianne didn't get it. Any of it. All of those was quite sudden for her, and hard for her to even believe. The queen being possessed by Abbessus? It made her shiver. "Todd, I can't believe you, if you've murdered someone! How do I know if you won't take me as a hostage, then ask for demands from Chry? All this is crazy!"

Todd blinked when he saw the horns and wings disappear from the new woman. Then things got extremely confusing. A warrant? A murder? Drianne was right, all of this was crazy! Christ, Abbessus actually framed him for murder! Todd wrung his hands, searching with his eyes all around the hallway, searching for what to do, how to explain. He was furious with the strange new god, and he was upset that Drianne didn't believe him right away -- Though why would she? She only just met him.

"Drianne, I wish there was time to explain, but - but --" No, no, make time to explain -- Without one, there's not a chance she'll want to come with.

"Okay, Drianne, please, listen to me. I am not a murderer." He could only think of the irony of that sentence the minute it came out of his mouth. He got on one knee and looked Drianne directly in the eyes.

"You've gotta believe me. I don't want to see you getting hurt because you stayed here with some kinda psycho-god thing. I won't take you hostage, I won't do anything to you. Think about it -- If I murdered someone, why would I sneak back into the castle just to find you and get you out of here? A murderer wouldn't do that. A murderer would just take what he has and flee the country, right?"

He rubbed the back of his neck, glancing at the half-banshee and the new woman that used to have horns.

"I know it seems scary, but we're all going to fix the queen. If you come along, you could even help us out."

Why did he say that? If she wanted to come with and help out, she might just throw herself into danger. Or not. This kid was a wildcard. He knew close to nothing about her other than that she liked tailoring.

Seiva looked at the two in front of them and sighed, grabbing a piece of fabric off of a table. She looked at Todd, and smiled, then quickly grabbed Drianne, tied the fabric over her mouth as a gag, and picked her up as though her weight was nothing. She held her bridal style, and began walking, "Nadia, you go ahead." Nadia nodded, and blinked out, teleporting away, back towards where the sisters were. Seiva looked at Todd, "Sorry. You two were talking way too much. We can talk once we are outside."

She continued her conversation as they walked towards a side door that led to what looked like a garden, "Sorry Miss. You were taking much too long, and doubting him. He hasn't killed anyone. I actually planned that little ruse with your Queen myself, and I assure you, she is possessed." Seiva then looked ahead, moreso following Todd than actually knowing where to go.

"Well..." Drianne was flustered. Yeah, the queen did act a little odd when she came to her room only recently, but again, possessed? Maybe if she put two and two together. She knew traits about the queen would have been against Abbessus' will, yeah, but for him to get out of line and fully possess her would be strange. Todd put his knee down to the floor, at an attempt to look at Drianne with sincere eyes, assuring her that he was innocent.

She still couldn't quite believe it... She gave him a sad look. But suddenly, a cloth was tied around her mouth, and she was held up princess-style in one of the girls' arms. She screamed and wailed unpleasantly, flailing in her arms, until she was finally dropped down into the garden. She ripped off the cloth, then looked at the girl. "Are you nuts!?" She said, in a hushed whisper. "I don't know if all you're saying is true, but... Todd, you didn't seem too much like a bad guy, and Chry did act a little off today... So maybe you're right. But I'm not completely sure, so..."

--

The two girls arrived back, to find Nadia waiting for them at the stand they were at."We're back! Sorry!" She called out, waving, with Eirii still on her back and carrying a brown adventurer's bag on her back. "I got a few things. Where's Todd and what's her name-- Sevia?"

Todd was completely thrown off by the sudden kidnapping, and, while the teleportation out of the castle was appreciated, he glared at Nadia for doing so without warning and for startling Drianne in the process. He listened to what the little tailor said and frowned, his tired eyes settling on her and only her as she explained to him why she still felt she couldn't fully trust him, that she still wasn't sure. Still, to be somewhat believed in was something, and Todd gave Drianne an apologetic smile for what she'll soon have to go through.

Todd heard the two thieves - or rather, the older one's - voice. He waved over at them, his smile changing to a somewhat happier one.

"Let's get this show on the road, eh?" He said, "Off west, to wherever the Lunar Priests are."
