She was now in her comfort zone with the melee attacks, however, it had been a while since she felt a rush so violent. Her adrenaline overpowered her thinking. As Ribbon closed in on her, she crossed her wrists together above her head to block her attack, her mind desperately scrambling around to muster up a counterattack. She couldn't do it. It was like turning a page of a book and finding that the ones following that one were all ripped out. She remained on the defensive, staggering away from her now opponent. Ribbon seemed to be retaliating quicker as the fight went on and it left, but it only diminished the amount of time that Penny had to react to attacks. She wouldn't be able to block everything that came her way at this point.

As the blade came at him, he simply took a step to the side, leaving him standing at the side of his opponent. Without thinking, he grabbed his wrist and cupped his hand around his elbow, gaining temporary control over Ignis' arm. He pivoted on one foot, turning and throwing his opponent away from him. He wasted no time. He drew his arm back at his side and ejected his chains, the spear at the end of the metal tendril barreling towards his opponent.
