Just a demonic overlord studying Earth firsthand.
"That went quite good, I cannot thank you both enough for attending this meeting today," Elias spoke gratefully.
"I was happy to be here; the meeting was enjoyable and went very well." Luna replied honestly.
"It is dinner time soon, would you like to eat here or go somewhere else?"
"I think that that would be lovely." Luna began honestly, yet her tone said that her sentence would be followed by an apology. "But my brother has already promised to make one of my favorite meals for dinner tonight, and I cannot make it as wonderfully as he. I apologize, but when he made the promise, I didn't think that he planned on entertaining a third."
She stood, and turned to Ms. Pyrites. "I appreciate your hard work and diligence as much as every other professor in this school. I thank you for all of the work you do in order to teach these children to the best of your ability." she said. Her tone sounded genuinely grateful. "I wish you a pleasant afternoon." she said with the slight nod of her head, then turned to Elias.
"And I wish you a pleasant evening as well. Thank you for suggesting that I attend this meeting; your reasons proved more than clear from the moment the young lady entered this room." By this she clearly meant the soon-to-be professor-in-training. "I do hope you enjoy the novel." she smiled. She was happy that he had such a captivating adventure to look forward to and enjoy in the near future. And Alastair said that he would read to me as well...He does have a very dramatic voice when he reads; I look forward to it. And that meal he makes...I'm off to purchase the groceries from the list he left me... she thought happily.
"And she told me that she would rather sew her own mouth shut than to speak of such a thing."
"And what happened then?" Damien asked, intrigued.
"She nodded, and left, walking up the stairs to her room." Asmodeus paused. "I believed that she had understood. . .Fifteen minutes later, she came down the stairs with her own mouth sewn shut and tears in her eyes! I was alarmed, thrown into a state of blind rage for what she had done! I removed the stitches and healed her, and the entire time she didn't say a word." he whispered the last sentence, tears brimming in his eyes. Yet they remained there; he did not shed a tear.
"Tell me-" Damien began heatedly "-what the thing was the Malice dared not speak of? I must know; I love her as dearly as you."
Asmodeus gave Damien a look so dark...so grim...that no one in any of the three realms, Heaven, Hell, or Earth, could ever resist fearing.
"It was..."
