The Forgotten Forest

Miyuki smiled cheerfully, glad he was feeling better.

"Yeah!" She grinned widely. After dressing the seal, she scooted closer to him, sitting on his lap again. She pushed him down on the bed; she was on top of him. She looked at him, her face an inch apart. "Are you still sleepy?" She smiled sweetly at him.

He laughed as he was pushed back on the bed

." Hey, hey precious artifact here." He said smiling up to her. his arms behind him laid across on the bed and his sheathed sword at the end of the bed.

"Sleep is something i don't get to often so a nap is always welcomed for me.
" His voice was softer now as they grew closer the beautiful sounds of the night finally being able to show itself through the darkness of the forest.

Miyuki lay on top of him, her head on his chest.

"Sleep with me." She breathe in his scent, this is home. He is home.

"This is a nice place you got." She mumbled after a while

He smiled at her words as his arms rubbed her back gently his heart beat calm and steady in her ears. He looked up at the skylight him and his uncle had left up there and the moon was right in the center shining brightly down on them. "Yea me and my uncle spent a year out here building it. It was suppose to be a sanctuary when everything else crumbled. I....I guess its time to put it to use." He said slowly becoming more relaxed and taking deeper breaths feeling himself getting tired. "We would go on all kinds of adventures together and always end up in some kind of trouble no matter how 'simple' things were suppose to be." He laughed slightly. His voice become slightly deeper and rolled of the tongue smoother.

Miyuki smiled at the story. She snakes her arms around Sky's neck.

"He seems like a very nice man. I'd like to meet him." Miyuki mumbled against his neck, her lips grazing against his warm skin.

"Also I didn't know you could build houses. Can you do more cool stuff?" She let her lips rub against his skin some more.

He laughed a little letting his hands traced up and down her spine lightly his warmth keeping her cozy.

"Well if you consider a demon inside you you still can't fully control cool. Then...yea I guess I still have a few cool things about me." He said jokingly.

Miyuki hugged tighter. His hands going up and down her spine sent her heart racing. Her face warmed up as she blushed.

"Tell me about that…" she whispered. "What happened?"

His hands roamed her back gently dancing peacefully as he spoke. "My father back when i was in the village hated me and believed i was cursed. My mother at the time was seeing someone else and although i was my fathers child he couldn't forgive her sins and took it out on me. After my village was attacked we had food offerings at times to please any demon that tried to come through from the forest and feast. One day the food wasn't there to offer so against my mothers wishes he offered me and tricked me to go into a cave with this lightning wolf demon inside after i had told him i didn't want to go." His voice grew slightly bitter as he spoke of his father but he began to calm himself down.

Miyuki tried to understand the ways of man, how they worked, why they did what they did. But she couldn't. All she knew was she wanted the man in his arms to be hers forever.

"What happened to you in there?" She whispered, her voice soft and sensitive. She didn't want to force him into talking about things he doesn't want to talk about. She listened to his heartbeat accelerate and decelerate while listening to his stories.

He sighed softly and continued his story."Well...with the whole village sealing the entrance i didn't have a way out to i was forced to go forward. It was a fire lit not to far inside the long mysterious cave and a white wolf with sky blue lightning stripes through his fur was laying there. Its evil aura was pressuring me and i was stuck frozen from fear. The wolf opened its sky blue eyes and spoke through my mind to me. I didn't completely understand what happened but he told me he needed a new host to make his so his spirit can continue to own that side of the forest causing all sorts of terrible things. He said some enchanting words and then lightning struck my very soul and it was an indescribable pain. I sometimes still feel the burning sensation if i think about it too much. But once I showed back up in the village the next day I didn't remember much of anything besides waking up seeing a dead normal snow wolf next to me. My mother was happy to see me but everyone else felt i would bring the village great harm and grew to hate and resent me even more."

Miyuki frowned and learned to hate his village.

"Then they made you leave?" Her tone was acid. She learned to hate them. "Wow." She hugged him tighter, beginning to cry.

Her tears soaking parts of his clothes. She snuggled his chest and hid behind her white short hair.

He gave a slight smile and rubbed her hair softly looking down at her. "But I guess.. then we would've never met huh." He smiled lightly. "But there's someone after me I haven't figured it out who but there demons are persistent and the reason i was so beat up the first time you seen me." He growled a little. "I don't know how they found me but i need to learn to control this power if im even able to stand a chance at beating them."

Miyuki closed her eyes, she was comfortable. She figured that there were some pros to this after all.

"You have me now…" she whispered gently. "You dont have to face your demons alone." She looked up to him, their faces inches apart again.

"I already told you, wherever you go, I'll follow. Whatever you do, I'd do. You're my home. Dont ever leave me." She crawled uo a bit and kissed sky on his forehead.

He smiled lightly at her words as his own talking had made him tired, he knew he always had a problem with talking to much but he sorta got over it with just being a quiet person but around her he just felt open. "As if you would let me go in alone." He said jokingly not wanting to leave her this moment lasted a lifetime for him and he would always cherish it. He hugged her a little tighter as the moon's light left the cabin's sky light making it darker in the room.

She giggled

"You're right. I wont." She rolled over to the side, laying beside him. "I'm gonna whoop their demon asses." She grinned widely.

"I dont have a family." She told him.

He laughed a little letting his hand rest on the curve of her waist as she spoke."Do you know where you were born or who left you alone?" Worry was all he had for her he wanted her to be happy but he also wanted her to know everything she could about herself.

Miyuki shook her head. She gasped a bit when he placed his hand on her waist, causing her to blush a deep red.

"No, i have nothing… I- I was born in the forest. I fended for myself. I had a few people help me, but they all left me." She said. It was the first time she ever said that to anyone.

He was a bit sad for her but a little happy to because he had a feeling they could find out more about her from his uncle after all he is a demon now. "Well...you have me now, and your stuck with me." He said smiling at her. "And I think I may know someone who can help us find out who or where your parents are."

Miyuki's face lit up in a smile. Before today, she never believed that there was a chance that she could find her parents, now, maybe she could let herself hope.

"Really?" She asked like a child. "That'd be really great!" She almost jumped on Sky, hugging him. "Thank you… thank you so much." she squeezed him

He laughed hearing her excitement and was happy for her if anything the trip would give her closure. "I can be squished you know.." He said to her while laughing lightly. He gave a hug back this time soft and embracing. "It won't be easy though. We would have to go to new land I haven't even gone over the mountain before And after building this cabin I never came this close again." He said with a slight worry for her.

Miyuki stared at him blankly.

"You worry too much!" She started laughing, trying to ease the tension. "You forget, you have me, I have you. We'll keep each other safe… always!" She smiled sweetly and poked his nose.

"We'll figure it out, okay?" She giggled

Sky smiled and laughed a little. "Yea maybe I do, your right I believe." He said tiredly as he finally passed out letting one arm gently rest on her waist. The forest had finally let him rest and she had finally let him be at peace.

His sword would glow a light blue aura as his energy was growing stronger without him knowing it. He would pull her closer in his sleep there bodies a breath apart. The sun was slowly making its way over them as the birds began to chirp there beautiful songs.

Miyuki dosed off at sometime in the middle of the night. She slightly woke up when she heard the birds sing, but she was still tired. She was in the arms of Sky, half-asleep, she looked at him and gave his lips a peck before snuggling in his chest, falling back into sleep.
