The Forgotten Forest

Miyuki watched his hand drop from the sword. Her eyes darted to his face, quickly, still wary of him.

"I- I dont exactly know. We were supposed to go to this human village? To collect supplies and such." She mumbled. She was scared, but she wanted to talk to him, curious.

"what's your name?" She asked with a small smile. She dropped the hood of her cloak, revealing her short white hair, bright light blue eyes, and white lips conpletely. "I'm Miyuki."

@VaskarTheHunter

Vaskar watched as she examined him. After dropping her cloak he could tell was not human at all. Bad idea Vaskar, he thought to himself. But she was lost and afraid. Pushing down his prejudice he held out his hand and bowed slightly, as was his tradition. "My name is Vaskar. I'm pretty sure your looking for the village I just left. I could take you there if you wish?"

@CharmyPie

Miyuki watched him bow… how strange. She wasn't used to any customs or culture or people or anything at all. She has always been alone… until Sky. People tend to run away from, scared of her.

"You'd do that for me?" She asked in disbelief. "You wont run away? You wont… hurt me?" She made sure.

@VaskarTheHunter

Albion's patience was wearing thin, as the creature refused to listen, and instead continued it's charade. "I am done with your games Demon!" He growled swinging his bloody hand in an arch. Blood splattered Sky and the area around it. Bloody tendrils shot forth, anchoring themselves into Sky, holding him in place as a numbing sensation overtook the anchored limbs. "Now that there's no chance of you running away, since you squandered the opportunity, lets see what you are..." Albion said with a sadistic smirk. Raising his bloody hand, he began to manipulate the blood splattered across the Sky's face, forcing it into every orfice. "Hmm... Interesting..." he said, getting a further read on it's aura. Soon a look of surprise overtook the Sanguimancer, before he quickly pulled the tendrils back, releasing him. "My appologies sir... I didn' realize you were cursed... and a nasty one too." The man said, sheathing his blade, while focusing the blood pouring forth from his wound to harden and make a cast of sorts to stop the bleeding. "Please forgive my... Reaction..."

"I shall not do to another what they would not do to me." He spoke in a soft tone. Holding out his hand, he wished to give her a proper greeting. He wasn't sure what she needed to to that town for but best not to ask. She seemed very curios almost like a child. He adjusted the patch over his eye and swung his pack into his shoulder. "Ready?"

As The tension continued to rise Sky knew he was getting no where yet he still refused to fight in such a terrible place. As the blood splattered across him the aura slowly rose mostly from irritation in Sky as that was his only shirt. "you bastard."He continued to hold his hands in his pockets letting his energy flow into his lightning and waiting to see how dangerous this really would get. As the blood begin to change around and on him Sky's body grew a bit tense seeing as he couldn't run he needed to be ready to burn this place down if all else failed. "Yea I am, what of it? If I wanted to kill you don't you think this place would be looking like shit by now."

Sky explained as the man took the blood off of him. "I hope that smell doesn't stay in this shirt." He grumbled letting lightning surge around him almost touching the ceiling of the tavern as it made him feel normal again after that disgusting experience. Hot air would flow up harshly like the lightning did making his long blue hair fly up above him and for a second only his demon sky blue eyes were visible and he looked as tall as his demon use to from the shadow the lightning made his aura letting a lot more dark energy pour out before a second later it was gone. He came back to his resting stance taking a deep breath letting his eyes fade back to their dark blue and he walked to the man and gave him a proper greeting instead of a proper burial. "It's fine, the blood could've been.....avoided but none of the less it's fine."

Sky was back to his same old laid back self thanks to his trip through the forest today he was still in a good mood but he still wondered where she wondered off too. He hoped and thought she was right next to him the whole time. " I would think being cursed by any demon is a nasty one. " He said laughing slightly trying to ease the mood."I am Sky, and who do I have the pleasure of having blood splattered on me by?" He said a bit sarcastic but the greeting was still there. He knew now he really wouldn't be able to stay for much time at all because Miyuki was probably lost somewhere out their and maybe those demons would show back up for her...or worse. No don't overthink it, she's fine....she's fine, she's a strong girl. He had to repeat multiple times in his head to keep from worrying too much letting his attention be brought back to the man.

"Albion Thorne." he replied flexing his fingers on his now blood encrusted hand. "I could help with your... Problem" he added before pounding on the counter. "It's safe Joe!" he called out, alerting the bartender it was no longer hostile in the room. "But seeing your reaction to being covered in blood, you may not like it." He continued.

Hefting his unfinished mug, he took a long pull on it before setting it down. "And before you ask 'Why offer to help after attacking me?' Think of it as an appology, and a way out of me having to kill you if this thing takes full possession" Albion explained finishing off the mug as The barkeep crept oit from his shelter in the back room much like a gopher checking if it was safe. "If you accept my offer, you will get the rest of the information for which my help entails. If you don't, well, lets just say, the next time we meet it will end in blood"

Miyuki grinned widely and grabbed his hand, forgetting that she was a demon, forgetting that her icy cold skin could burn him if she touched him for too long. She squeezed his hand and felt his warmth.

"You're mighty nice, Vaskar, I trust you." She said with a giggle.

She then let go of his hand,
"i-i'm sorry! I forgot! Are you okay?" She pouted, worried.

He tilted his head to the side slightly almost confused by the question. When she took his hand he felt a slight warm feeling from it but nothing more. "Why wouldn't I be okay?" He tightened the bandana around his head and gestured to the direction he began to take a step toward. "Most people wouldn't see me as nice, but I thank you for the generous compliment." He didn't see any reason to worry about her anymore. She seemed to not be use to people being nice to her. With that thought he felt somewhat sorry for her. Going through these lands with no one. As he thought about it though he couldn't say any different for himself. As long as he could remember he was alone most of his life. Searching for the ones responsible for his families undoing.

Miyuki skipped happily in the direction that he was going in.

"So what brings you here?" She asked, curious. He was wearing such peculiar clothes to her. And he seemed well-armed. This made her slightly wary. She wondered if he hunted demons like her for a living and that she was walking into a trap. But she shrugged it off, knowing that no one could catch her when she runs. Well… maybe Sky could. She reminded herself to ask him for a race sometime.

@VaskarTheHunter

Vaskar remained silent and thumbed talismon wrapped on a silver chain around his neck. He spoke in a dull tone. "It's...very personal." His expression turned cold as he remembered the screams and the flames. "What about you Miyuki?"

Sky's eyes faded to their sky blue before returning to his human dark blue color as he examined the man hearing his name. "Albi....wait you couldn't be the demon hunter could you the one that usually hunted the worst." Sky face stayed at it's calm smile as he conversated with him. "I well...He, was one of the demons you haunted a while back maybe a year or so ago..." Sky's mind was rambled as he could feel Michal's memories. His curse was loosing it's grip but Sky's soul didn't seem to be lost one bit. "Wow..." His face showed nothing but amazement remembering the fight they had and seeing it's what that field was that he fought those demons of with miyuki in was made from. " Does the name Michal ring a bell to you? A name one of the local villages called the legendary lightning wolf demon." He looked to the man before seeing Joe come out of hiding. "Joe!" he said walking by the man not hearing him say he could as his teenage mind was for sure still in tact. He gave his old uncle's friend a hug and they laughed together while Joe continued to tease Sky about how small and annoying he use to be.

Joe looked to Albion while still laughing and said unknowingly of the situation, "This is what you told me to hide from. This little brat barely could hurt a bug without hurting himself in the process." He continued to tease scratching Sky's head with his index fingers knuckle and as They laughed he looked at the man trying to portray a look so he wouldn't tell Joe what's happened to him. before going back his laughing from the knuckles getting harder as the pressed his head. "Alright alright already I get it your the stronger one lemme go!" He yelled happily before being released by the old man.

Albion watched the display, clearly unamused. "Michal... Yes I remember the feind..." Albion replied remembering the battle. "Dirty bastard got away before I could bind it." he added with a rueful smile. "And it looks like he's returned to play..." he continued, his smile returning to sadistic. "And oh how i'm going to love making you suffer Michal." picking up his mug, he finished off the rest of his ale. "You there, Sky! I am recinding the offer and now make it an ultimatum. You will come with me to have him bound to your will, or you will die.... Simple as that. I can not risk leaving such a danger unchecked." he growled. "We'll spend the night here till i take care of the class three, then we leave. Understood?"

Sky's happy face soon faded to worry hearing the man's words not really for him as he didn't mind the overnight stay but for her. She should've found her way here by now. He thought to himself walking from Joe and sitting a seat away from Albion at the bar. "I would love to get him to be easier to control but I can't stay here. I was suppose to leave with someone to head over the mountains, we only came here for supplies but the store was closed. I thought I would stop by to say hi to Joe before I left but that was it. even if we could stay I already told her I would help her find her parents its not like I can just waste time here and go back on my word....Hey why not come along with us and teach along the way plus I was told over the mountain is where most of the stronger demons are retreating to anyway maybe you can find your 'class three' or whatever over there." He looked over to the man with a curious teenage face with a slight bit of demand in his voice. He said it in a bit of the rush as the afternoon was coming and he needed to go find Miyuki not knowing what could have happened to her.

Miyuki wondered if this was one of the people looking for Sky…

"I'm looking for a friend of mine." She decided to say. She wont give him any more than that. She put the hold over her head again and clutched her cloak tightly. She didn't want to be noticed by humans.

Vaskar walked on in silence thinking to himself. He didn't know friends or family. He was all alone. Stepping forward he spoke again trying to ease the mood. "I hope you find them. It's not easy being alone." Touching the talismon again he sighed as they began to approach the outskirts of the town.

@CharmyPie

Albion released a sigh of annoyance, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You just don't get it do ya kid? There is no negotiating here. You can head to the mountains, after we bind the son of a bitch." he growled clearly not in the mood to argue. "As for my class three demon. The rason i'm here is because of one. What were to happen if I just left now? It would butcher the entire village! Your uncle, Dead! The children, Slaughtered! The parents, Ripped to shreds! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!" he barked now clearly pissed

Miyuki laughed aloud, breaking the silence and the tension.

"I've always been alone. Not many people like me. Not everyone goes on friendly walks with demons, y'know." She gave him a bright smile. "I mean, even my parents left me… I think. I don't know. I've never met them. Maybe they didn't like me." She shrugged it off. Miyuki doesn't know the feeling of missing someone, cause she's never had anyone at all.

"Why are you alone?" She asked.

Vaskar was astounded by her answer and could understand her reasoning. As she asked the question he choked up and almost felt like he had just been stabbed. Holding his complexion he answered in an erea tone. "My clan was slaughtered when I was a child. I've been alone ever since." Holding back his emotion took all of his strength. He thought back the the vague memory of a beautiful women with curled hair smiling down at him with love gleaming from her. His mother. He felt the hole inside his heart ache for them. But they were gone and nothing could change that.

Sky wanted to protest but the reasoning was too solid for him to just ignore it completely. "Well, I get it but...at least met me go find her. She could be lost or worse." He was ready to run if he had to, this wasn't a place he wanted some hot head like him to blow up hell he might burn the place to the ground just from tripping over something. "I'll be back I do want to learn how to control him so I have to come back, right. That has to be enough." Sky said standing slowly his voice becoming calm again and his tone more serious not like the child he is but the man he was becoming. He wasn't protesting he needed to compromise, he needed to know she was safe at least. In this forest you couldn't help but always be a little on edge about everyone it was natural. "Hell I'll help you fight the damn thing if I need to." He said trying to make the bribe sound a bit sweeter to the ear. The sky began to shape it's orange and purple color as the afternoon overcame the forest giving a more relaxing feeling as the day passed by. The wind was just perfect during this time not to hot nor too icy. It was simply pure bliss.

Miyuki stopped walking and frowned. She didn't know what that felt like, but she felt sad. She tugged on his clothes and pulled him in for a hug.

"Do you like hugs? I like hugs. I had my first hug yesterday. It's nice to hug when people are sad." She said, patting his back. "Wanna talk about it? I'll listen." She pulled back, a sweet smile on her face. It was the least she could do for the man who went out of his way to help her.

Before Vaskar could react from Miyuki pulling him into a hug. He felt himself feel warm inside. He could not remember every having a hug expect from his mother. But she was right the hug was very nice. Before he knew it he could feel his own arms wrap around her. He heard he question. And debated on his answer as she stepped back releasing him and showing that very big smile of hers. He felt something strange as he looked at her. A warm feeling inside a cold stone shell. "I don't know if you would like what you hear." He spoke softly. He didn't understand what just happened. He felt strange but at the same time, for the first time in a long, long time. He felt some kind of happiness that he was near her.
