The Forgotten Forest

"But it'd be better for you to let it out than bottle it inside. I think it's bad for the heart." She let out a giggle. "Besides, if things get so bad, I'm pretty sure a good hug can fix it." She held out her hand for him to take. She realized that he's been alone too. That, she can relate to. She knows the comfort when people are nice to her, and that's what she wants to make Vaskar feel right now. That he wasn't alone.

She contemplated on whether or not she should introduce Sky to Vaskar. Maybe she should.

@VaskarTheHunter

Letting out a small sigh he took her hand in his as they walked. "When I was eleven I remember waking up one morning to the sounds of screams and swords clashing, before I could get out of the house I witnessed my entire family be slaughtered by a small group of demons barring the mark of the sun on their left cheek. Though I survived an encounter with one I did not leave that place untouched." Slowly he rolled the cloth patch up to show his right eye completely shut with four claw marks scarred across the eye lids. "When I came to after they knocked me out. My entire clan was gone.... I am the only living decendent now. And now I search for the group that slaughtered my clan and family." He softly squeezed her hand , trying not to hurt her in the process. As they walked he readjusted his patch and stared forward.

Miyuki nodded. She was quiet. She tried to understand what revenge would feel like. What losing someone would feel like… she tried to imagine Sky being taken from her. She frowned. It wasn't a feeling she liked.

Miyuki moved closer to Vaskar, positioning herself behind him. She put her hands on his shoulders then climbed his back. She put her legs and arms around him.

"Hugging while walking!" She laughed, like the child she was. "Things'd turn out right, dont worry." She smiled. Sometimes Miyuki wondered how life would be like if she wasn't born a demon. Part of her wondered if he was repulsed by her existence.

@VaskarTheHunter

He smiled slightly as he carried her on his back. "I guess things did turn out alright.....thank you for listening." He walked on as they entered the town he set her down and looked around. "Do you think you'll be able to spot them?" He looked around more and then back to her. Looking at her he felt better now that she was with him. How long has it been since he was with anyone he wondered.

Miyuki looked around in the strange human village.

"If I see him, yeah." She smiled at Vaskar, looking at him in the eyes. "Thank you, Vaskar. Thank you." She smiled. "Will you go now?" She asked him, not really wanting him to leave, but wanting to look for Sky too. She looked around, looking for Sky.

@VaskarTheHunter @Silent Nova

Vaskar smiled as she thanked him. But he pondered on the thought of staying. He was very lonely, but then again what would happen if she was with him when he finds the group he didn't want her to get hurt. After a long while he decided and nodded to her. "I will stay as long as you need me." He bowed to her and began to walk to the traders shop. "Well search here first."

The shop keep eyed them both as Vaskar lead her into the trader. "This is where people buy or trade for supplies." He looked at the few people inside then to her. "Do you see your friend?"

Vaskar chuckles slightly. "It's okay we'll check the tavern next." Vaskar holds out his hand for her to take as the shop keep continues to stare at the patch over his eye. Vaskar pretended not to notice, but it was the same everywhere he went.

"Listen carefully kid, What i'm going to do is not show you how to control Michal. I'll be binding him to your will, hense the deviation from your course. As soon as we kill Belecruu, the sooner we can get to the Ley lines and bind the fucker." he explained calming down as another mug was placed infront of him. "Plus, I'm sure she's not far from here." he added before taking a pull on the new mug. "In fact, I'm posisitive she's on her way here as we speak. Now sit down, and listen to what I have to tell you, concerning this binding."

Setting the mug down, he looked Sky in the eye as he went to explain the details. "At the center of the forest is a tower. The tower is protected by ancient magicks that only those with the knowledge to get through can enter safely. My home. Inside said tower is an alter about as old as civilization itself. Older maybe, but thrumming with ancient power." Albion explained now in story mode, the bartender listening intently, knowing a good story is one that should never be wasted. Taking another pull from his mug, he continued. "The importance of the alter is that it's centered upon the ley lines. Ley lines, also called force lines or mana lines, are invisible power lines that conduct magical energy. When a mage is in contact with a line, he is effectively in a zone of mana equal to the intensity of the line." Albion continued pausing long enough for Sky to absorb the information. "Ley lines can only be accessed at nodes, Also known as a conduit, such as the altar. At said alter, I along with an old friend will preform a ritual to bind the demon." he paused longer letting it soak in and allowing the one possible question to be asked.

Ritual.Not again as if the first one wasn't painful enough.His ear twitched slightly hearing her call just down the street he wanted to go to her but the man was persistent with his order barking so he sat down once more catching a glass of ice cold water as it slid down the bar table to him. "I know the tower you speak of, no wonder I couldn't find out why it was just sitting their I had come to the conclusion that it was just a ruin from long ago. But. This binding you speak of I don't think know about it. You see this demon is attached to me down to my spirit and soul. We have the same heartbeat yet were two totally different beings. Locking it down wasn't ever the plan I sealed the curse mark to make it temporary until my body was able to handle the strain of the full possession. Michael isn't how he use to be, blood thirsty yea but hell everyone has there itch right. The thing that I'm getting at is, how much tighter can a bond get if you don't even have your very soul to yourself anymore." The hint of fear was trying to escape his voice as he spoke.

Sky took a long gulp of the water savoring the cold feeling it gave his warm body like she does before letting the glass hit the table once more. "Plus I already told you we have somewhere to be we don't have time for your mystical backtracking journey. Train with me if you really think your great escape artist will lash out again but another ritual is something I will refuse to go through again." His bodied tensed up for a second and his eyes glow there sky blue just briefly him getting slightly angry at the thought before calming down. "Killing the innocent isn't on the plan list there are demons who actually know how to use their hearts just as well as their brain. Or at least that's what I like to think." Living in the forest Sky grew up learning to carry his own burdens and they made him who he was today, even that demon. He wanted to go through the trial on his own not wanting an easy way out or a safe way hell what would be the point anyway. Yea they could be confident to think that the binding would hold but hell even Sky knows they both weren't using their full power in that battle which is why Sky's seal was only made to be temporary. The binding though might last longer wouldn't have held him down the demon would've gotten bored eventually and forced his way probably killing Sky in the process. What an annoying drag. Sky thought to himself as the sun began to reach it's end for the day and the moon began to peak its rays through the forest slightly causing the smallest bit of glow in throughout the forest.

Gritting his teeth in annoyance, albion released a breath he didn't realize he was holding. How stupid can this kid be?! he thought before taking a calming breath. "So be it... But I want to confirm something first, so if you don't want your entrails decorating this room, you will not resist." he said in an annoyed tone. Pulling out a dagger made of what seemed to be some sort of metal that was blacker than midnight, drawing the edge of the blade across his palm, reopening the wound. As soon as the blood was flowing, he began to draw out the runes Wyr, Ophis, and Sular surrounding the rune Rhyv. He the proceeded to hand Sky the dagger. "Slash your palm and place it on Rhyv. This should allow me to see Michal's true intentions."

Miyuki took his hand willingly and marched out with him going to the tavern.

"What's a tavern?" She askedhim as they walked. Everything was new to Miyuki, everything was like a brand new toy for her. She wanted to run around the human village and talk to people, try their things, but she restrained herself. Knowing that if she does that, she'd be discovered. She hasn't met much humans, but most of them were mean.

He walked along with her looking for the banner showing the tavern. As he found it he pointed to the building. "There is the tavern. It's basically a place for most men to get drunk and tell of war stories they were never present in to witness it. Maybe your friend is or was in there searching for you as well hmm?"

Miyuki smiled at Vaskar

"
Maybe. I dont know if he drinks though… or if he has war stories to tell." She laughed lightly. She stopped walking and sat on the ground, all of a sudden. She felt the hard rough pavement on her blue skin. The places her skin touched was immediately covered in a very thin layer of ice. The moment she removed her hand, the ice melted, leaving the pavement damp. Interesting. She thought to herself. She looked up at Vaskar, forgetting that he was there. Her eyes widened and she stood up in a flash. She had her head down, embarrassed.

"Sorry." She mumbled.

Vaskar chuckles. "You are so curious, aren't you?" He held out his hand as they walked to the tavern. Vaskar walked in to see blood across the floor. What the hell happened here? He walked up to the bar as the man behind the counter eyed him. "What do you want samurai. I have nothing here for you." Vaskar looked to Miyuki and whispered. "What did your friend look like?"

Miyuki looked at Vaskar and smiled widely

"That's him over there!" She said with a grin. She ran towards Sky in a flash, giving him a hug. Her hood falling back, revealing her blue skin, white hair, and white lips. "Silly you, where've you been?" She had her eyes closed. She didn't realize that her hood was fallen. Everyone in the tavern saw her. A demon.

Sky didn't know his demons intentions or if he had any at all. There was nothing to gain from Sky but more problems seeing as his spirit wasn't becoming any weaker and if anything it was getting stronger. He was curious about this as well but didn't know if this was the way of going about it. I'm starting to wonder who's the real demon here.He thought to himself taking the knife and letting the blade penetrate his skin lightly feeling his warm blood overflow his hand. He then placed the rhyv growling slightly from the annoyance. "Make it quick, if you don't mind." His eyes widened partially seeing Miyuki run to him as while he had his right palm holding the blade firmly with blood slightly on left hands finger he wrapped his left arm around her waist pulling her in slightly for a hug."Hey where have you been all day, feeling adventurous before we even head out." He said with a slight laugh at her. He then returned his attention to the man but as he did so the night fell upon them and the dark feelings and creatures of the forest began to crawl but one felt a lot darker than the usual few. An overwhelming pressure of darkness would come over the small town as trees could be heard being knocked down in the distance. He growled lightly at the feeling and lightning would revolve around him and her slowly sparking lightly. Joe would back away his eyes widening and jaw dropping at the thing Sky had become before running back into the back room into hiding locking the door tight behind him as he did before. This isn't how I wanted you to remember me last Joe....I'm...sorry.He would think to himself for a second before his sky blue eyes overcame him once more though his body was still relaxed he didn't enjoy the feeling so he took his own safety measures for him and her.

Etherial crimson tendrils instantly shot out of the runes binding themselves to the two. Albion's eyes quickly turned white as soon as Sky's bloody palm made contact with the central rune. Images and emotions flashed through Albion's mind as he connected to the demon within the 18 year old. But as quickly as it began, it too ended. The color returned to his eyes, and a thoughtful look took up his features. "Interesting... So be it Michal..." he said to no one in particular as a smirk graced his features. Turning from Sky, he noticed the two newcomers, one of them being a rather peculiar sight. Without warning he burst into roaring laughter, likely garnering odd looks from the three. "It's like the beginning of a bad joke... A Mage, a Host, a human, and a Yuki-Onna walk into a bar, all claiming to be normal." he laughted. After a moment he reigned himself in, and returned his attention to Sky. "I shall be accompanying you and your friends as of tomorrow. And by Michals request, you I will train you in the basics of Sanguimancy." Albion said in a very business like attitude, his expression unreadable, as if carved from stone. "Now if you don't mind..." he began taking the dagger back before rising from his seat. "Belecruu and I have the matter of his continued existence to attend to." he finished drawing his blade and striding to the door, his left hand glowing in molevolent energy. "Stay put, and Tell joe to have a mug waiting for me." he added, wearing a sadistic smile.

Stepping outside, Albion spotted the massive demon approaching the village. Before it could reach the outskirts, the Crazed blood mage charged, a wild look in his eyes as he screamed at the beast "There is no me, there is no you! There is only the never ending spit and bile of combat! The twenty-four hour murder spree of shining metal! I drink the blood and eat the fear and breathe the carnage, because I! AM! A MONSTER! NOW AND FOREVER!" His blade bit into the flesh of the massive hellspawn, the runes in the blade glowing crimson. Like a darling leech, it began to drain the very life essence from the demon, and nurished its master, only to be cut short from the creature knocking Albion away with a massive hand. Roaring in rage, Belecruu revealed it's full form.

Miyuki watched the strange man with Sky carefully. She watched him leave. She stared blankly at the markings on Sky's skin.

"What are those?" She asked, afraid to touch them. She eyed Vaskar and gave him a small smile. "This is Sky." She said slowly. Not really knowing what to do or what happened.

@Silent Nova @VaskarTheHunter

Sky growled at the thought of the man coming along with them but knew he needed training one way or another and until he can control that spirit when he lets it out to roam he needed a partner so he didn't argue."Fine." He said simply in a agitated way as he handed the blade back to Albion a blue glow would come over him letting the wound slowly close as the markings on his back would grow and wrap around his arm in a swerving tattoo. The markings glowed lightly as the curse broke more bringing Sky and Michal closer together as one a little more yet their spirits still clashed with one another. As the wound closed and the man Left the dark feeling only grew stronger and as he heard the two go into battle from the roars he made sure to stay on guard if he needed to interfere. He hated that Joe had to see him like this but pushed it to the back of his mind bringing his attention to her. "These are my curse marks from that day.." He paused letting his hand that was wrapped around her unknowingly move along his arm with the tattoo feeling the changed person he was becoming and feeling like he was loosing more of himself. He then snapped out of his dark void of thought and brought his attention to the newcomer who came in with her and gave a soft smile. "I guess your the one I need to thank, she can be a bit adventurous and I do apologize if she gave you any trouble along the way." He said eyeing her for a second playfully before returning his gaze to the man.

Glad to be wearing his armor, Albion kicked up back onto his feet, his smile turning into a snarling scowl. Focusing his rage, blood shot out from his left hand, creating the same etherial aura the tendrils had when connecting Albion to Sky. The demon known as Belecruu, stumbled for a moment, as several large wounds appeared on it, followed by the spay of it's tainted demonic blood, as it hemorrhaged. It roared in fury, pissed off that a mere mortal had wounded him. The Demon hefted its massive blade and charged into Albion. What the demon didn't realize was that this was what Albion had planned for.

As Belecruu slammed into the pale sanguimancer, the large blade Famine sunk deep into him, syphoning the life essence and feeding Albion. Using the blade as a conduit, he dripped the hilt with both hands, pouring energy into his spell. Belecruu's blood quickly began to boil in it's infernal veins as it screamed in agony. "You're gonna scream, just like she did; open mouth, open heart, blood and noise forever piercing my skull!" Albion roared psychotically as he used the demon's own life force to fuel his spells as he twisted Famine wildly in it's chest. "LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M KILLING YOU!" He screamed increasing the intensity of the spell. Finally the demon's body could take no more, detonating in a shower of meat and tained gore. "Tell your master i'm coming for her..." he growled, destroying every trace of the demon with a flick of the wrist.

Vaskar eyed the symbols and slowly determined he was not part of that group. Seeing how happy sky was to see Miyuki and her to him. He knew they were together and really cared for eachother. He could not stay with them. As he was destined. Gripping his pack he bowed and turn on his heel to walk out of the tavern, only stopping once to lay seven gold coins on the table for their travels. "Keep her safe." He said with caring and fixed tone as he walked through the door.

Miyuki frowned and ran after Vaskar, stopping him from exiting the door.

"Dont go." She said, frowning. She looked outside and it was dark and gloomy. Night has fallen. She almost tsked. She tugged on his hand, not letting go. "Dont leave us, please?" She pouted. She didn't want him to go.
