The Forgotten Forest

His hands shook slightly and uncontrollably, he wanted to comfort her yet...He was the one broken after this. His eyes came up to her there normal dark blue state and gazed into hers as she spoke. He was stuck motionless and could barely think clearly. I'll always be here. Those words echoed in his mind and he believed them and wanted to hold on to them.

"I'm.....sorry" were the only words he could get out, it was more than an apology to her. It was one to his village, his people, and even his mother. He wanted to be there for them but he failed and knew he wouldn't do that again. His hand cradled her cheek gently making her tears stay in there water form from the warm of his hand and a slight smile came to his cheek along with his feeling of hope again.

The wind still blowing heavily and feeling pleasant for him from the ice cold air was almost back to it's normal gentle sway around the earth as his hair blew peacefully with the wind his lightning almost completely gone from them with nothing but small statics of it surrounding them as normal and in his eyes the bolts would pass through slowly.

Miyuki pulled away from the hug with a smile on her face. She took the warm hand that cupped her face and interlocked her fingers with his.

"Where are we going?" She asked. She watched him carefully, she wanted to remember this moment with him. It was special to her.

He looked of to the mountains and pointed north, towards to base of them, he knew that was through the thickest part of the forest but it was also there way home, together. Peace isn't something they would find but happiness and closure is something he felt they would. She always had the way of making his mind feel free even when its shattered and torn in so many different ways. "We have to head towards the base of those mountains, its not to far but it isn't a quick trip either. Its also through where those gunshots were from." He didnt want to tell her the exact place as he wanted somewhat a surprise for her. The sun was finally beginning to break upon them slowly and the birds began to peacefully wake up with there beautiful songs. The wind finally slowed and there enemies body had faded to ash and blown away with the wind. He wanted to ask questions about them but knew now wasn't the best of times and hell they could've been just as big of a mystery as they were to him. He couldn't dread on the thought to much as he smiled one last time to her and let his hand hang tightly in hers and the other freely. "guess its time we headed off." He said his voice returning to its soft melodic sound that flowed as peacefully as the wind.

Miyuki's heart fluttered at the sound of his voice. She loved hearing his sweet voice. It was music to her ears. She nodded and smiled widely at Sky.

"You lead, I'll follow." She put her free hand on her waist. "Or maybe you're afraid that I'd beat you!" She teased him lightly. A little giggle escaping from her white icy lips.

"Oh please your on, Keep up if you can." He said as he darted off quickly towards the other side of the plain's heading off on there journey to their new lives together. He laughed as he took off knowing that the demons wouldn't be anywhere as active as they were at night, most of them at least. He felt his demon breaking the seal even more and let the pain flow through him and tried to keep his body from tensing up.

He needed to make it to the place before this happened he needed to make sure she was safe before he faced himself. "Come on slow poke don't lag to far behind." He shouted back at her teasing.

Miyuki grinned widely and darted after him at full force. "You cheat! You had a head start." She laughed, running through the forest in the direction he pointed her to. She breathed in the fresh morning air, thankful for the sun. She heard the song of the birds and the hum of the wind. She watched the forest blur in her sight, due to her speed. She wondered if someday, she'd hit a tree. She caught up with Sky after a while. She slowed down a few, running with him, trying to conserve energy. "Hey there, mister." She winked playfully.

He smiled as she came next to him going just moderately fast seeing as they weren't in any real rush. It was about mid afternoon now and they were almost halfway there but at the rate they were going they could be there by morning for sure. He was worried traveling at night would be dangerous for them as this was the darker part of the forest and he knew things would try to get ugly if they were stuck here for too long.

He stopped running as they came up to the spring that showed they were halfway to their new home. "We can rest here for a bit." He said sitting next to the and sticking his hand inside let the cool relaxing feeling of the water engulf him. The water wasn't cold enough to give anyone a chill but it also wasn't to hot to be uncomfortable it was simply peaceful. He wanted to remove his clothing and dive in but he didn't know how long they would be here if that was the case so he laid up against a tree and took a deep breath taking in the whole forest as its beauty showed for a second to him.

Miyuki immediately jumped into the spring.

"You have to come in!" She giggled and played with the water, purposely splashing the water at Sky. She felt the water getting colder because of her presence, and she loved it. Her white dress got soaked and it clung tightly to her skin. But she didn't mind this… she enjoyed the feeling of the water running through her skin smoothly.

"Come in with me." She said again, smiling sweetly.

As she splashed the water it would evaporate upon reaching his lightning barrier that always surrounded him but was only visible to the trained eye.

"Don't you think we should be getting a move on before dark." He said laughing gently watching her play in the water.

The sun shined brightly in this spring giving everything a sort of magical sparkle to them and his hair seemed to glow brightly as he sat there looking as peaceful as he ever had. For once there was no thought of worry, no anger, just simply joy was the word he felt and he loved all of it.

Miyuki smiled lovingly at Sky, enjoying the atmosphere. She looked at the midday sky, the sun, and the clouds. She lay still for a while, basking under the sun. Feeling her white hair dry under its rays. "Alright alright let's go." She decided. She got up from the stream, her clothes, almost see-through, it clung to her light blue skin, showing her lean curvaceous body, and everything under it. She stretched and walked towards Sky, leaning on the tree he was under.

He watched as he silky smooth body exited the spring. Her eyes even brighter than the suns to him. As she came towards him a slight blush came over him but faded quickly him seeing the way her clothing was sticking to her body he couldn't help but gaze a bit longer than he normally would but he snapped out of it quickly slightly embarrassed. As she came closer to him her chill danced across her body and his warmth gently flowed through her drying her slowly but quicker than usual.

"We have time to kill her for a little just not to much to have fun in the water. We'll come back." He said smiling up to her. "I promise"

Miyuki smiled widely and sat down beside him abruptly. She wraped her arms around him, making sure he got wet. She snuggled against his warmth, her wet clothes made a mark on his body, but it soon dried up… and so did she.

"I think this is my new favorite stream." She grinned. "Hungry?" She gestured to her game bag. They still have meat in there. She worried for Sky. He hasn't eaten much. She looked at his peaceful face, and decided she needed to see this.

She mounted his lap, her legs spread wide apart, her arms around his neckc her blue eyes staring deeply into his, her face only a few inches away. She wanted to tell him so many things. She couldn't express her thoughts into words. She cant explain the emotional rollercoaster that is in her. She settled for two words.

"Thank you."

He was slowly beginning to dose off just barely able to hear her words before suddenly she jumped into his lap shocking his sleepy eyes open they were met just inches from his."Ouch." He said tiredly laughing a little. "Are you cozy?" He asked letting his hands rest on her curvy and damp waist gently.

He smiled at her words and slowly let his head rise up to see the beautiful sky and it seemed for a moment time stood still for them but he noticed the small movement in the clouds and realized they were still in this world...and he was still with her, and he wouldn't have wanted it another way.

His hair rested gently on her arms letting her hands flow through it just as easily as the lightning did. His hair was never tangled surprisingly even though he hated brushing it. He brought his attention back to her wanting to say much but knowing so little.

"I think I'm the one who should be thanking you." His voice coming off deeper than normal from his tiredness but sounded just as smooth as normal and just a little choppy but he managed.

Miyuki rest her head on his chest.

"Nonsense." She mumbled on his chest then yawned. His peaceful aura lulled her to sleep. She inhaled his now familiar scent. She felt like she could stay there forever.

He stroked her hair softly as she dosed off to sleep. His strokes grew slower and seemed more and more like air until his hands rubbed slowly down her back from him falling asleep and rested against her lower back. He was soundless as he slept and the sounds of the forest kept them in there peaceful slumber. His lightning revolved around them slowly keeping her nice and warm but the spring breeze kept them feeling comfortable.

Miyuki woke up after a good nap. She nuzzled against Sky's chest, not wanting to leave. She felt his hand at her back, and it sent tingles all over her spine.

"Goodmorning" she mumbled against his chest. "Had a nice nap?" She giggled.

Her words didn't get through to him as he still slept. Who knew there was a safe place this deep into the forest, He wanted to be out of this end before nightfall but they had slept throughout the entire day. He mumbled silly things in his sleep as he was dreaming peacefully for once. His grip on her waist would tighten slightly at one point before loosing up after a while.

Worriedly, she shook him awake.

"Sky? Sky… the sun is setting. Sky…" She poked him. She wanted to stay in his embrace forever, but they had other problems, for now. She bounced on his lap, shaking him awake. "I'll drag you, you know." She pouted. She felt the need to run.

His eyes were there demon sky blue as they slowly opened yet none of his other demon like changes hadn't happened. His fangs weren't showing and his lightning still had its peaceful aura to it, along with his nails not growing longer. His vision was blurry and a slight growl from him as he looked around trying to figure out where he was before his eyes finally came into focus.

"Oh, hey Miyuki how long was I out."
He said raising his hand in the air to stretch and as he did his shirt stuck to his skin from her sitting on part of his shirt while he stretched.

For a minute she could see his toned muscles and curves in his arms flowing nicely down to his tight abs on his stomach. It was almost as if he wasn't wearing one at all but as he relaxed his shirt let go of him and he was free from the restrained hold it had on him. He then rubbed his eyes a little wanting to dose back off but he soon realized they weren't where they needed to be so he would to wait to sleep like that again.

Miyuki bounced up amd down on his lap.

"Wake uppp." She said excitedly. "We slept for a long time, we need to go, I think."

She already had her game bag and satchel on her, but she still positioned herself on his lap. She looked around worriedly.

He looked up at the sun and noticed it was setting and he then sensed a presence. It was bone chilling and left him speechless for a second. He growled lowly standing up letting his arms be her cradle as he did so and his demon eyes glared into the direction of the ominous feeling behind them.

"Your're right about that, the question is will they let us leave." His voice had a more serious tone to it it feeling more than one of them but one felt clearly darker and more powerful than the rest. His lightning spiraled around them a bit quicker now as he jumped into a near by tree and darted off into the direction of home. He couldn't fight that many not with her here. His speed left aftershocks of harsh air moments after he had gone and he would only get faster. "Hang on tight." He said quietly before they became nothing more but a blurred image as he ran knowing he still had a ways to go.

Miyuki held her breath and closed her eyes as Sky ran with unknown speed. She gripped his arm tighter and hid her face on his chest.

It's okay. Everything will be okay. It's okay. Nothing can go wrong. She chanted to herself. She trusted Sky with her life.

He ran as fast and quiet as he could as the darkness came upon them. He could feel them gaining but he was a good distance apart. It wasn't to far from here now. His arm began to bleed from the curse mark breaking even more. The longer he ran the heavier the bleeding got but he wouldn't stop until they reached the cabin. His hold on her became tighter as he began to for split seconds see the eyes of the demons that craved there blood. He could see the bridge of the tree house he built with his uncle as a child and knew that they were close. His body being pushed over the limit he began to pant heavily as he jumped up high above the trees out of the most dangerous part of the forest onto the bridge of the tree house. The cabin that was connected was small but enough for them. He caught his breath for a second and relaxed his body his arms blood sliding down onto her leg and dripping from his hands.

"We're...home." He was able to get the words out through the panting, and he began to walk slowly up to the cabin. It had beautiful dark wood framing to outer look and inside was simply put cozy. It had a nice fur rug from bears him and his uncle would go hunt for and a nice sized bed that fit two comfortably. The fireplace already had wood stacked next to it as this was a last resort home for whenever they needed it. All they needed was food to store and their new home was complete. there was a secret tree him and his uncle carved out for climbing up to the tree house so him and sky could get up and down freely that he would show her later once they've settled in. He gently sat her down before falling to the floor his body aching from over using it and he was able to pull himself up and leaned onto the end of the bed were a smooth wood carving met his back. "He then turned and laughed slightly to her trying to take the pain out of his voice. "Welcome to our new lives."

Miyuki dropped from Sky's arms. She was excited to see the Cabin, it was beautiful. Better than any cave she lived in. But much more important things clouded her head.

"Sky, you're bleeding." She said worriedly. "You're bleeding you're bleeding." She chanted as she rummaged through her satchel, finding more bandages.

She approached him, and wordlessly, she cleaned up the blood on him and dressed his cursed seal.

"I dont like you bleeding." She sniffled.

He smiled at her and watched as she seal was closed once more and his demon again caged."I'm sorry I don't mean to worry you." He said his voice was soft and low from being exhausted and one of his hands rested on her thigh as she bandaged his wounds.

"At least we have somewhere to lay our heads peacefully now though." He said trying to lighten her mood a little.
