Fantasy The Experiment

Ari walked silently next to Lucas. The walk was short, but it felt nice. She thought about him, but no matter how she tried, she could never figure it out. It was like her heart was trying to tell her brain something but her brain was refusing to admit that it was true. She sighed inwardly and walked in her room. She peaked her head out and said, "See you tomorrow." before shutting the door. She walked to her closet, finding some more decent clothes and swimsuits. She pulled on a nightgown before crawling into bed.

"Good night, see you tomorrow," Lucas said and smiled to her as she shut the door, he felt his heart sink down to his feet, as she was no longer there beside him. No, what was this feeling? He shook his head, trying to get Ari out of his head, but she was glued to his thoughts no matter what he thought of. He walked out the door and transformed into the tiger, before he climbed up into the tree and laid down his body on one of the thickest branches. His tail wagged back and forth and his ears peaked up at every noise he could hear, but his thoughts were occupied. It seemed like an eternity had passed by before he managed to fall asleep.

Ari woke up to the sun streaming though her window. She stretched, her pink hair falling over her eyes. She sighed and grabbed a t-shirt and some shorts and changed. She tied her hair up in two ponytails and walked out of her room. She wandered downstairs and looked around. "First one up huh...." She mumbled, going to the stove. She grabbed some bacon from the fridge and grabbed a pan, heating it up.

Lucas let out a loud yawn as he was about to roll over, but instead ended up falling off the branch he had slept on during the night. He completely forgot that he had decided to go to sleep in the tree, but it was great to sleep in it, despite him falling out. He sniffed the air as the smell of bacon was in the air, tiger or human, the smell of bacon was always great early in the morning! He stretched his long and strong body, before entering the house, not bothering to turn back to human form as he saw Ari was the one heating up the bacon. "Good morning Ari. Did you sleep well?" Lucas asked and smiled, as he sat down on the couch by the kitchen, his heartbeat began its race against the speed of light, but it felt great to see Ari again, even though they hadn't been far away from each other.

"Yeah." Ari said. Her cheeks were pink as she looked at the bacon. She tried concentrating on the frying strips of meat rather than the large cat in the living room laying on the couch. She flipped a few of the pieces and pulled others off the pan, setting them on a plate. She finished up the last of the strips before placing the bacon back in the fridge. She looked around in there and closed the door. "It seems we have unlimited food." Ari said, sitting on the remaining space on the couch.

Lucas turned back into his human form, as he realized that he did occupy most of the space on the couch. He didn't want to push Ari off either. He quickly began eating the bacon, as it felt great with some breakfast, it had been a while since he could wake up and not be sedated after all, this was his first time in this experiment. "You're a really good cook Ari!" Lucas complimented her, smiling to her as his cheek quickly turned a bit pink, looking at her directly made his heart beat through his chest, what was going on with his heart?

"T-thanks." Ari mumbled. She stared down at the plate, taking one of the strips off it. She quickly shoved the strip of bacon in her mouth, savoring the bacon flavor. She took another one, savoring less of the flavor as it was to yummy to waste. She let her tail and ears pop out, her tail curling next to her on the couch.

Lucas smiled Ari, as he continued to eat as well. Occasionally looking over to where Ari was sitting as her tail and ears seemed to have popped out, but he thought it was quite... Wait... it was very cute... What was he thinking?! Never in his life had he thought that another person was... Is that what's going on? C- Could it be that... N- No wait... Lucas, you shouldn't think like that... what if- no... no no no no... or... This is far too confusing to be understood... Lucas thought as his cheeks lit up at the realization that he thought Ari was far more than just cute. He reached out his hand and petted her head, muttering very quietly. "Y- You l- look v- very c- c- cute... l- like th- that..." He said, avoiding eye contact completely as his own ears and tail decided to pop out, along with a certain redness in his cheeks.

Ari dropped the piece of bacon in her hand back on the plate. She tried to form words, failing uselessly. She twitched her ears, feeling his hand on her head. She twitched her tail, brushing his in the process. Her face lit up and she almost dropped the plate. She was so embarrassed. Why did this only happen around him?

Lucas looked over to Ari, seeing her completely red face as he kept gently petting her head, carefully to not touch her ears. He felt Ari's tail brush against his tail, as he used his tail to wrap around hers. Not saying a word as he thought it was quite embarrassing, and he could not find any words to say to her anyway. He could hear his heart beating, almost to the extend where he thought Ari could hear it too, he was nervous. Overly nervous, and this was something he only felt around Ari. She was special, he just could not understand why.

Ari squeaked a bit at the feeling of his tail around hers. If she could say something, she would. But right now, her tongue was doing something weird and refused to form words. She was quite flushed, not that she minded having him there. There was something different about him, something that set him apart from the others. Yet, she couldn't put her finger on it.

"J- Just t- tell me i- if you w- want me to l- let go..." Lucas said to Ari as he heard her squeak. Maybe he was being too awkward? He could not be sure if she felt this way too, and then what was it he felt? The only thing he knew for sure was that he didn't want to let go, even if Ari told him to. It put a smile on his face that he was holding her tail like this, he felt so happy that he would not mind dying right now. But then again, he wanted to stay with Ari for a very long time.

"Y-y-y-y-your fine." Ari managed to say. Her tongue had graced her with the ability to sort of speak as she sat there. Her cheeks were cooling down bit by bit, but they were still red. She just looked down, feeling embarrassed. She wanted to stay there, as much as her mind protested, her heart was happy there. She scooted a bit closer to him, subtly, making sure he didn't notice.

Lucas felt his heart beat faster when she didn't reject him holding her, it was as if he had won the world championship of something and that no one could take him down. He looked a bit away from her, embarrassed and lost at words once again. He looked out the window to see that it was great weather today, and they were supposed to go to the lake together. He could ask Sam or Sasha for some advice maybe... Maybe they knew what this was all about. If he confirmed it... then he could... What if Ari didn't have this lingering feeling as he did? What if... no. There was no reason to beat himself down, he had to confirm it first anyway. Maybe he looked at Ari as some sort of family, as he was a big cat, and she was a small one.

Ari looked up at him. He was looking out the window in deep though. She decided not to bother him. She thought about the sun streaming though the window. She set the plate down on the table and sat back up. She tried concentrating forward, but her eyelids were to heavy. She blinked a few times before she fell to the side on his shoulder, falling asleep.

Lucas looked over to Ari as her head fell onto his shoulder, blushing as he did not dare to move. Not even one inch. He looked over to her adorable sleeping face, and felt his heartbeat race even faster, any second it would jump out of his chest, or so he thought. The sun was still shinning and they were the only ones around. He lifted his arm up, gently placing it around her as he could help, but to fall asleep himself. It felt great, falling asleep like this, especially since it was Ari that was sleeping beside him.

Alex wandered around the house, not knowing where to go. What did they do in that house anyway? There wasn't anything to do in terms of escape... But then again, there were armed guards. Maybe Alex would be able to leave? No... The radar would sight him, and kill him. Then, he walked into a room with Ari and Lucas sleeping together. Alex quickly walked out of the room, but made sure he remembered it. Alex flew to the top of a tree, and fell asleep. He might sleep inside tomorrow. Maybe he wouldn't. Or he would try to escape.

Sam had a nice conversation with Alex the previous night. He learned the whole place was about 3 or 4 miles across before the guards and fence. There was radar around the entire place, which didn't surprise him. It was all just a forest in there with the exception of the house. He felt the need to explore more, so he thanked Alex and hurried off again. After a while he felt so tired he just laced down and fell asleep.

The next morning Sam woke up with the sun and headed back to the house. He was a little lost, but found the lake and headed back from there. As he approached the house he smelled bacon and wondered who was cooking. 'Maybe I'll need to find another purpose here' he thought to himself. He entered the door in human form and saw Ari and Lucas together. It looked like they were cuddling, and he wondered if they were officially together. Sam felt it was inevitable. He then looked at himself and realized just how filthy he looked. And stinky, too.

Ari woke up about an hour later. She tried to move, only to realize that she was stuck by someone larger than her. She looked up and saw Lucas fell asleep too. Her face quickly turned a shade of red only thought possible to be put on a tomato. She didn't move, because if she did, she would wake him up. She just sat there with a red face next to Lucas.

Tori had been so taken in by the small door and where it lead that she hadn't heard the other girl in the hall. She took her hand from the door and went back down the small, spiral stairs to greet the taller girl.

"What do you mean by new?"

She asked the girl a little surprised by how giddy she seemed. Almost like this was a big slumber party and Tori was an in expected, but welcomed, guest.

Though she found it odd, it was better than being hostile or scared. She had 'broken in' to the house with out talking to anyone she had to remind her self.

The other girl was taller than Tori, and seemed to be about the same age, if not older. She had olive skin and dark hair and eyes. Her eyes were soft now, but Tori could tell there was much pain behind that softness. The kind of pain they all had felt.

(Sorry if this isn't very accurate to describe Sasha, I'll Chang it if you need me to)

Sam decided to sneak upstairs before either of the cats woke up. In his room he grabbed a grey cotton shirt and jeans he found yesterday. He would move the girl cloths out later, as he was sure they would get used. He found an open bathroom and turned on the water. Sam stripped off his white shirt he was wearing earlier and stared at his chest. So many scars laced across his chest, he wasn't sure he could count them all accurately. He shook his head trying to rid himself of that thought and stripped down the rest of the way before relaxing in the warm water, watching the mud flow away from him.

"You know...did you just came here or have you been here for a while?" She'd have to look down a bit at the girl, because she was short and mabey younger than her. She noticed that she smelled good. Like, really good. Sasha did probably stink, she didn't remember the last time she had been near a soap.

She heard the water going on in the bathroom but decided that this were more important.

The girl seemed shy and reserved, and she could recognise herself in her.

"What have you found here,....what's your name again?" She said looking down the old stairs. She hadn't noticed them before.

Lucas woke up a bit later than Ari, as he let out a loud yawn hugging Ari closer to himself as he believed it was the branch of the tree. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw that the one he was hugging was far too soft and cute to be a branch and quickly let her go, and his cheek lit up red. Unsure for what to say, he looked away from Ari, his ears and tail popped out as he fiddled with his tail in his hands. "S- Sorry!" Lucas apologized quickly, incredibly embarrassed at the unintentional hug, but his heart was jumping with happiness inside his chest.

Alex opened his eyes. The wind whistled, and he realized the others were in the house. Hmm... They didn't know that this was just another game. Alex didn't like it. There wasn't anything he could do except look for a way out. So he flew far above the treetops. As he was flying, he realized that some people were a bit more open in their form than others. He remembered he needed to work on his half-half form. But then, Alex saw the fence! So close! And then he was shot by a tranquilizer dart. Sedative rushing throughout his veins, he flew to the ground. He was slowly falling asleep, but he was in his hawk form. It would be lethal in that form, so with Alex's last burst of energy, he shifted and fell asleep. Someone would notice he was gone. Eventually.

Ari tried to form words again, failing uselessly. She finally managed a "I-I-It's ok." out of her stupid mouth. She looked away from him, her heart beating out of her chest. ' Could it really be that I'm.... No that's silly. But is it really?' She thought to herself, sneaking a glace at Lucas. ' C-cute.' She thought, looking at his embarrassed face.
