Fantasy The Experiment

Lucas was about to say something to Ari as his ears poked straight up. He heard a gun shot, and his nose did definitely pick gun powder. "Ari, someone was just shot," he said as he turned into his tiger form. They had to work together and help each other. Just like Ari had when he was sedated. Lucas gently put Ari onto his long and strong tiger back. "Hold on, we need to move quick!" Lucas said to Ari as he begam running towards the fresh smell of gun powder with Ari riding his back.

Ari clutched to his back, her hands clutching his fur. She realized that they were running to someone's aid but the adrenalin rush she was getting made her feel alive. She looked up as Lucas ran towards the smell of gunpowder. She felt the wind making her pigtails fly behind her as they charged onwards. She got on her knees to more easily ride him to aid a fallen comrade.

Lucas arrived to see Alex on the ground, completely sedated as he stopped to let Ari get off his back. It was faster to run if she was riding him after all. "Is he okay?" Lucas asked as he looked over to Ari. He held back a roar that was directed towards the guards, but it could still be heard as he showed them his fangs clearly angered. "Put him on my back, I'll get us back to the house safely," Lucas said to Ari, standing as close as possible and laid down to the ground to make it easier for her.

Ari watched Lucas tense up and almost roar at the guards. She grabbed Alex and hoisted him on to Lucas' back. She looked at him. He seemed strong and cool like that, but she wondered if he could carry them both. "Are you sure you can carry both of us?" She asked. "Not that I doubt your strength." She added on the end. She mentally face palmed herself after that stupid sentence.

"There is a reason why I was sedated extra much yesterday, and right now they are going to regret they didn't do it twice!" Lucas said and smiled at Ari as he waited for her to climb on. Alex wasn't heavy and Ari's weight was barely noticed on the way. This would not be a problem at all, as he was a tiger. He could drag 50 pounds into a tree ten feet in the air with only his mouth. This was not a challenge at all.

Ari sighed, glad he hadn't noticed her stupid slip of the mouth. That specific appendage seemed to hate her most of all. She smiled and got on, being careful not to be inappropriate. "Ready." She said. She adjusted herself on top of Alex before Lucas took off. She was glad he couldn't see this because it would be very awkward for the both of them.

Lucas began running towards the house as the tour became a bit more complicated since the guards were shooting at them, but Lucas barely dodged all the shots, except a small dart that manged to cut his arm a bit. The pain was nothing and the sedative was not even close enough to put him out, as he quickly made a run for it towards the house. Praying to God that they had not done anything weird to Alex, otherwise he would do more than just roar towards them.

Ari clung for dear life as she held on to Lucas' back. She dodged the shots as they raced back to the house. "Wont you ever stoop!" She yelled at them, the wind blowing her hair in her face. She dogged another shot as it was fired at her, ducking barely underneath its destructive path. She lifted her head back up as they reached the house, far away from the fence.

Lucas stopped as they came to the house laying down in the small living room where the couch was located. His front arm was bleeding and it painted his white fur a bit red. Niot wishing to worry Ari, he hid it underneath his body. Making it seem as nothing was wrong. "Those damn guards..." Lucas muttered under his breath before looking up at Ari and Alex. "You okay Ari? I swear if they shot you, or even as much as hurt the air around you I'll-" Lucas stopped, he must have sounded like a complete idiot just now! Alex was the one sedated and now he- Lucas blushed and then turned to Ari again. "A- anyway... are you okay?" Lucas asked, leaving it at that as he didn't want to sound to violent either.

Sam heard the shots in the shower and quickly turned off the shower. He then roughly dried his skin and threw in some underwear and shorts. He was still damp and they stuck to his skin. He didn't have to worry about that long as he jumped out the window and morphed into his wolf form. He didn't get very far before he saw Lucas running back to the house with Ari and Alex on his back. He skidded to a stop and chased after them to the house.

"I'm fine." Ari said. She looked at his fur and noticed a few drops of blood staining his fur. She grabbed his paw out from under him. "But you are." She said. She looked at him, worry in her eyes. She looked at the kitchen and walked over to the cupboard. She grabbed a first aid kit that she saw this morning and walked back over to him. She opened it up and dragged his large paw on her lap.

"I- I'm fine!" Lucas insisted and looked over to Sam. He gently pulled his paw away from Ari's lap as Checking Alex was more important. "Alex was shot by those guards. We need to check if he is unharmed first," Lucas said as he stood up, but all that running, and with some extra weight, had opened the cut and made it deeper than he thought as the paw refused to support his bisy weight. Making him fall back down to the floor.

"And that's my queue to help you and your queue to sit still." Ari said. She grabbed his paw once again and pulled out the ointment. "Now, I am going to get paper towels, if you move I won't hesitate to tackle you." Ari said as she walked towards the kitchen. She grabbed a handful of paper towels and ran them under the sink, wringing out the extra water.

Sam walked into the house and saw Lucas fall. He rushed over and saw his paw. "Ari, take care of him. I'll look often Alex." He walked over and felt for a pulse. It was weaker than he thought a pulse should be, but not low enough to cause any damage. The then opened his eye and saw an oversized pupil. Sam grabbed a bandage and wrapped his wound. "He'll be fine. He's just sedated now." He then realized he was still wet and his hear was dripping. "I'll, um, finish up."

Despite Ari's warning Lucas tried to stand up one more time, hoping second time was a charm, to look over the damp Sam and onto the sedated Alex with great worry. He manged to stand three seconds longer before he fell again, making a loud thud as his body was quite heavy. It was good to know Alex was okay, it did calm him. The damp Sam walked upstairs as Lucas only chuckled at him. Seemed as they all had rushed in to help Alex, it was great to know they all were this close to each other though. He smiled and looked over to Ari in the kitchen and blushed a bit. He couldn't help himself, but smile knowing Ari was unharmed in the chase.

Ari walked back just in time to see Lucas fall again. She sighed. "Stop doing that or you will get a permanent scar." Ari said. She sat in front of him, bringing the box with her. She grabbed his paw and started to dab the wound, cleaning out the dirt. She sighed. She wished that she had gotten hurt instead of him.

"T- That hurts!" Lucas complained as Ari cleansed his wound gently. He could see how worried he was and gently petted her head with his other paw, smiling reassuringly to her. "It's not that bad I'm just glad you didn't get hurt, I honestly don't know what I would have done if anything happened to you," Lucas said honestly to Ari, smiling and blushing as he realized it was a cheesy line, but it was true. He was certain that if Ari got hurt, he would have lost all of his senses completely.

Alex felt like there was something keeping him down. He remembered the escape (almost!) Damn it. He'd have to dive as the radar picked him up to avoid the alert. But holy hell, his head hurt, like an elephant stepped on it. It took him 5 minutes, but he slowly opened his eyes, and sat up. "Hey guys. I figured out how to escape, now I need to work on flying in half hawk form. Anyway, I'll be outside whenever I can, trying to work on that."

(Note: I will do this in a random format. 3 6 sided dice, and on a 10(beginning) down to 7 (ending) or less, he gains one point. He needs x to completely learn to fly as a half hawk. Any suggestions for x? He can do this once per day (or two days depending on situation) and... Yeah.)

Ari flushed and kept cleaning the wound. "Thanks." She mumbled. She pulled out the ointment after she finished cleaning. "Now this is going to hurt a lot." She said. She smiled weakly at him before spraying the potent stuff all over his wound. She grimaced at his face. When she had finished she gave him a thumbs up.

Lucas had to work very hard to not roar out loud when Ari sparyed the potent onto his wound. It stung so bad! Small growls and weird grimaces were made as Ari was finally finished and gave him a thumbs up. He chuckled at her childish behavior, and blushed a bit too. "Thanks Ari. It's good to have someone like you taking care of me," Lucas thanked her as it seemed Alex was coming back too. He said something about escaping, but for now he needed rest. The sedative had to leave his body after all. "Get some rest first, otherwise it'll get worse," Lucas advised even if he had no right saying that, he was the one who fell twice due to him not wishing to rest.

(I'm not entirely sure... what's your thoughts about it?)

Ari looked at him, her cheeks pink. "Least I could do." She said. She brought out the bandages and began wrapping his paw. She gently laid the layers of bandage over his paw as the medicine sunk in. When she finished, she took her hands away from his paw. "Done." She announced quietly. She was sure Lucas had heard it, but the others might not have.

"Thanks again Ari," Lucas said, still laying down on the floor as he didn't want Ari to tackle him. He watched her flustered face ans felt his heart bang against his chest. Carefully he used his tail gently to pull Ari into a gentle hug. "I- is ot okay I- if we stay l- like this f- for a small while?" Lucas asked as he whispered it into Ari's ear very embarrassed, but he needed some time, like this to confirm the beating feeling in his chest.

Ari nodded into his chest, her face bright red. She closed her eyes and listened to his heart beating beneath his chest. She smiled and snuggled in closer, feeling his fur tickle her cheeks. She giggled a bit and relaxed in his grip. He may be bigger than her at the moment, but she didn't care. He was like a huge cuddly teddy bear.

Lucas smiled as he could feel Ari snuggle into his fur as if he was a stuffed animal. His heartbeat increased and he could feel Ari's breath. It was as a lightning struck him, and he knew the feeling in him that was driving him mad. He had felt it before, but not like this.... how would he tell her?! Even more importantly...how did she feel about him? Lucas was scared, nervous and confused on what to do, and stayed quiet as he needed time to figure out what to say.
