Fantasy The Evil Within (OOC)

SOME LORE THAT MAY BE IMPORTANT:

All subs are seperated into different groups (usually the harmless are with the harmless, the neutral with the neutral, and the aggressive with the aggressive. Unknowns are kept in containment with each other. The containment zones consist of sperate cells in one corridor, each corridor is a different danger level group. During lunch there is a free period where those from every sub level are able to chat, although the extremely dangerous are kept in cells. The aggressive a are seperated by bullet melt and freeze proof glass to prevent conflict with the other groups. Unknowns are also sectioned off by glass.

Each cell consists of a bed, a bathroom (depending on whether or not they need one), and a chair and desk which is bolted to the floor. Cells may be customized based on needs and containment procedures.

There is a good chance the characters will meet during free time.

The building;

There are three floors in the underground facility. Two floors are for containment and one is for testing and workers. All the floors consist of this layout:

Hall
Each hall ends with an important room such as cafeterias or isolation.

In each hall there are doors that lead to containment areas and minor things. More about the layout will be revealed in the story.
 
So I’m not gonna lie…everyone else’s characters are kinda young, kinda feels weird to be role playing as two adults with a bunch of children (no offense to anyone’s characters.) I didn’t really anticipate them both being nearly double the age of basically all others. It certainly changes the character dynamic. Any one have any thoughts towards this or is it just me?

I'm sure there will be more adults around once people start putting in characters. (We have like 4 other interested who haven't) so that'll change with time. It shouldnt affect the character dynamic much. There are 2 children, 2 adults, one with an unknown age, and two teens that are basically adults from their own species. What is it youre concerned about?

Relatability Mostly, Some of it is continuity questions raised such as the age of the guard being 15, in most places in the world the idea of such a young guard in a prison would be really hard to fathom. plus it severely limits any possible combat situations, for example if a child attacks you a person who is morally good wouldn’t really lay into them and take them out. Thus any time a conflict would arise even if started by the child character the opposing side is almost immediately the bad guy. Personally it just makes me a little uncomfortable, I avoid academy and school RPs for that very reason. Not trying to be rude just am genuinely surprised.

The people who run the lab are very morally wrong people, and really don't care about age. Morals are not something that is used in the system. If a child attacks you they are a threat, and that is that. If you wish not to join because of this I respect your decision. Age doesn't really matter in this RP. Every subject is seen just as that, a subject. Not a child. They are dangerous. They are objects to be used for their own advantage. No matter how young the child can be considered the bad guy, it really depends on what you or your character thinks. No one gets special treatment in the rp, no matter the backstory, age, or power. The ages will not change unless someone chooses to change it, so if you choose to back out that is ok. The lab is not known to the world. There are no laws here. They do what they want.
 
I’m sorry but yeah I am gonna back out. I got that they were bad guys but didn’t see this being the way the dice rolled. Best of luck and I hope you have fun.

Is there anough CS now? Also I'd like to mention that I'd like one small change to my room which is mostly lighting. I'd like it to be dark when no one is nearby but if someone comes near the cell will dimly be lit just anough to see surgess.

Can surgess also have a rat pet? If not can I substitute it for a creepy stuffed doll?.

If surgess needs the rat or will attacked anyone who will try to take it away sure, but otherwise a doll would be more reasonable. And as for the character sheets, there is a good chance I will still be waiting a week since I need to give those who have expressed interest time to put theirs up. Its been around 2 days since the thread is up so most likely we will be starting on the 18th. For the changes in the cell, yes the cell can be dimmed. :D

Yay! And a prefer the rat. It doesn't haft to be alive though it can be a rats corpse if that's what would be better.

Oh deffo not the rat corpse xD they'd take that away. She can have a pet rat. They would provide her with what she needs for it, although she would have the responsibility of taking care of it.
