Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

--Apollyon--

"It sure has been awhile, bro." he spoke, while taking his friends hand. It was a lot to process at the moment. "I'd recognize you even if you were dressed as a lady." he replied as he looked around the room. It appeared to be a library of sorts. "So whats up? must be pretty important to drag me away." he asked carefully as he relaxed. He knew he was safe for the most part. But what he did not know was where exactly he was.

Roman Roman
Han smiled and waved his hand as if telling someone to follow him. In response to his wave, a chair slowly floated over to the two of them. After they shook hands, Han chuckled and nodded in agreement. "Same goes for you, Apollyon. Take a seat, there's a chair right behind you." He told him, taking a seat in the chair he was sitting in when Apollyon was transported here. Apollyon was good at guessing from the looks of things. Han did have something important to tell him, and just like that, his smile disappeared. "In fact it is important. That Achilles kid, the one that my sister is involved with. I'm not sure how we're gonna deal with him. Hurting him would lead to problems in the future, even moreso due to the fact his mother works at our school. I was hoping you could help me. Have you even seen him since?"

Masahi could only offer what he had observed himself over his years of working from the shadows. Of course, he had used several people as puppets as a stand-in for the position of either boss or leader, but he never took the role directly as Roman had. He hadn't had to manage anyone too much, instead building networks and foundations so his plans would just fall into place, that way he could always shift his attention when needed.

"If you planned right, the fort would manage itself. But perhaps it's different when family and business are mixed? I've had the use for clans before so I haven't studied the ethics. As for rust, that only comes when you neglect even basic maintenance. And if that's the case, then I'm willing to bet your muscles have gotten softer as well. If even they remember the movements, it won't matter if you can't put out 100%. So don't think just getting rid of the rust will be enough."

As Masahi elaborated his point he thought of all he had gone through, and how it ended up being for nothing after he was unable to force himself beyond the final hurdle, the last moral horizon. Without that last step he had become just another villain, he couldn't wash that way and return to normal, whatever that could be at this point. He would never be the good guy again, all he could afford to do now is offer up his time aiming towards a better tomorrow. However, when Roman started to talk again Masahi felt a ping of sadness at first, but then it tore itself apart becoming heated anger. That anger blazed into action as Masahi lashed out without thought.

"DamnItDon'tYouPityMe!"

Masahi roared as he felt his hand connect with something, the impact traveling up his arm before it stopped at his shoulder. Then a thud sounded and with it, realization struck Masahi.

"Oh fuck. Shit. Roman, you okay?"

Even though he knew his childhood friend was out cold, Masahi still sent the query to him with a sliver of hope it was a gag. However, at this point, there was only one this to do.

Several minutes later

Having picked up Roman and thrown him over his shoulder, Masahi had guiltily made his way back to the Ishida estate. At the front door, he sighed, collecting himself before he knocked on the door. Then he knocked again after several minutes. After waiting for so long Masahi looked around before activating Kamui and poking his head through the door.

Mal was in the middle of cleaning the dishes when she faintly heard the first knock. Turning the water off she stopped what she was doing and listened for another knock.

"Misaki! Can you get the door?"

Misaki, on the other hand, was doing her homework.... with music blasting through a pair of headphones, so she didn't hear her mother or anything else for that matter. Mal sighed on the third knock and grabbed a towel, drying off her hands as she walked to the door. As far as she knew, she wasn't expecting anybody so maybe they were here for Roman. She'd just have to let them know he wasn't home at the moment. Turning the corner, she came face to face with a.... face.... head? Coming through the door?

"Uhm... Can I help you?"

She was stunned. She highly doubted this guy was here for her, and she was positive Misaki wouldn't invite him over, she was also sure Alejandro would have let someone know about a visitor, so that left Roman.

"Ah, uhm, If you're here for Roman he's not home at the moment, you'll have to come back later. If it's something important though, I could tell him whatever it is you need to say"

Ansom whistled as he walked along the sidewalk. It was an odd tune that sounded like it could've been a song but there was always an off-putting sound to it. It was almost like a single pitch among many was slightly off. He had one hand in his pocket and the other holding the caged bunny. When his daughter spoke, Ansom turned and stopped his whistling. "I don't think it has a name. It's a small little hole in the wall, ran by Ms. Judy." He smiled a bit. Ms. Judy was one of the few humans that Ansom could actually tolerate. She was kind and knew how to hold a proper conversation. She was also fearless, refusing to be wary of Anson simply because of what he was. Plus, there was also the fact that she didn't run away out of his life. "It's a typical diner, selling samdeiches, salads, burgers, and small personal pizzas." He smiled, looking over towards Yuki. "They also server these homemade red velvet milkshakes and you've got to try one of those."
Yuki nodded as she heard what they had. It was interesting that they didn't have a name. From what she could tell, it was pretty western. "I see. Is it popular or is it like... not very well known? I'm just kind of curious about the place and it's story." She asked since it didn't have a name so it was interesting for her that Ansom knew about this diner that had no name. How could people find it if there was no name for the diner? How big was the diner? So many questions popped out from within her head. She figured she'd get more answers when she got there. (Sorry if it seems short, I dunno why but I feel a bit sleepy today...)

Have forgotten the implications of just having a face or other body part seen sticking through a door or other solid object, Masahi was caught off guard when someone was actually there to see him. However, knowing better than to trust his usual instincts, Masahi froze for a moment as he stared at Mal, the only change to his resting bitch face being slightly raised eyebrows. At Mal's question Masahi, through the door, brought a hand to his chin and rubbed it.

"Well, in actuality, it's someone else that could use some help. I'm almost positive you'll know him."

As Masahi elaborated he straightened himself, disappearing for a quick moment before walking forward a few feet as if the door wasn't even there. Now inside the house, it was plain to see Roman being held on Masahi's left shoulder, being held in place with the arm of the same side. Having stepped inside Masahi took a moment to cleanse his eye of his power, thus muting the glowing red with its natural black. Clearing his throat Masahi spoke it a flat tone befitting of his unchanging face.

"As you might be able to gather, I'm not so much here for Roman, but with him. If possible, I'd like to speak with his wife or second-in-command and set him somewhere safe at the same time. I also think this counts as urgent, so I won't wait till later."

Before Mal could begin to question who the man was referring to, she was caught off-guard when he walked right through the door as if it wasn't a solid object. His eye was something she recognized thought, it was the same as Roman's but... this guy wasn't exactly Roman. obviously. She couldn't dwell on that for long though, she was a bit shocked to see Roman, lying unconscious on his shoulder. Her first instinct was to go into protective wife mode and question Masahi, but there was no way he'd take the effort to bring Roman home if he was trying to harm him, or at least that's what she hoped.

"I... I see. Well, fortunately for you his wife would be me, Mal, so you won't have to wait. Here, I'll take you to our room and you can just set him on the bed."

It took her a second to get over her surprise but she eventually composed herself. Maybe it was the fact he had an eye that looks exactly like Roman's so there was a bit of familiarity, but he didn't seem like someone she couldn't trust, once she looked past the resting bitch face of course. Once they were near the top of the steps Mal took a small glance back at him, smiling a bit.

"Might I ask for your name? I don't mean to be rude, but It feels a bit off to lead you through my home when I don't at least know your name"

Seeing Mal snap into action, Masahi simply nodded and followed at first. He had noted her surprise but, as Mal didn't act upon it, he left it be. After all, he had an unconscious Roman to deal with, and if his wife didn't want to make the problem any bigger, then he was all for it. Honestly, it was best if Masahi told the truth outright, but he wanted to avoid any unnecessary wastes of time for the moment if he could. So Masahi obediently followed Mal up the stairs. Though, a thought occurred to Masahi and he decided to voice it alongside an answer to her question, letting a bit of curiosity spill into his voice, the emotion from it broadcasting a smile in his tone, despite his lips only barely curving upward.

"So, are you the one that pulled him out of his dark place? He was never like he was now within the village. And for now, until a better opportunity arises for a more efficient explanation, you may call me Tobi."

At the top of the steps, Masahi scanned the second-floor along with Mal's body language before setting off in the direction he assumed the master bedroom to be in. He did so naturally like he used to going through buildings having to guess at the layout. While he walked he adjusted Roman from being over his shoulder to an easier to set down princess style carry. Looking down at Roman, Masahi spoke again, his face had returned to it's resting position, along with his tone.

"Again, I would explain more, but it's better to do it all at once, with everyone that needs to hear the important information. Surely you know how annoying repetition is?"

Ansom listened to Yuki's question and then, ultimately, gave a shrug. "It's known locally but I'm not sure about outside of that range." He shrugged once more and cleared his throat. "It's an old fashioned place and it caters to more of the older generations. It doesn't have any TV's or dance floors or video games." He chuckled and nodded. "Miss Judy is an older lady from the states so she likes to keep a homely feel to her establishment." He rounded the corner and pointed down the street, indicating a smaller building with a large, neon sign above it reading 'Diner'. "That's the building."

Yuki nodded at Ansom's explanation. So it was a foreign local diner that's been there for awhile. Even the owner's pretty old. She wondered if she knew Ansom as a friend or a regular. And if so, would she react to the fact about Ansom bringing his daughter with him? She kept walking before she looked up at Ansom when he spoke, saying that the small building was the diner. She looked at it and saw the neon sign that read diner. She looked up at Ansom and joked. "Liar, it does have a name~ It's just diner." She giggled before she moved a strand of hair away from her face and behind her ear.

He winked and chuckled alongside his daughter's laughter. He resumed walking until he reached the door, placing his hand on the metal sheet on wooden door. He pushed it open, ringing a bell to signal their arrival. Inside the main waiting area was a stack of menus but Ansom ignored them completely. He nodded towards the greeter up front and then continued to a table near the back of the room, walking slowly as to allow Yuki ease of follow.

Mal smiled at his question. It made her happy to know he was in a better place then he was back then. Of course, she couldn't take all the credit, her husband had met a lot of great people before and after meeting her. Not to mention their children, she'd like to think they had a part in it as well like they did for her.

"I like to think I played a part in it, he's surrounded by so many great people that I believe we all helped him in our own way. I believe we both helped each other out of our own dark place's, for me, it was all him who helped me become a better person, and eventually a mother of two amazing children."

Mal had turned her head a bit to look at him as they talked. Her chest felt warm as she thought about it, and her smile showed just how happy talking about it made her feel. Her eyebrows quirked up when it was him who took the lead, and it was more out of curiosity than anything else that she let him. She listened as Masahi talked, looking at Roman when he had as well. She gave a small nod before responding.

"I completely understand how annoying repetition is all too well, I can wait until then to hear it. So, what exactly happened for Roman to be knocked out like this?"

Nyn remained quiet as she heard him talking about her story, while it wasn't the thing she liked thinking about the most, she acknowledged it was an interesting story, and not knowing how she 'll end up discovering her origins left her quite intrigued. Once he mentioned his attitude she spoke up. " Well.. I don't know what friends are but I assume it has to do with people, while brutal honesty has its downs it has its ups too.. There are some people who deserve to get off, and I think its better to get things out rather than suck it all like a balloon and then explode." She then started to think just where the hell that whole "balloon" example came from, she didn't even know what a balloon was, but it somehow came out naturally as if she heard about it somewhere. She then shook her head slightly leaving those thoughs for another time, she did not want to look awkward around him, when she heard him talk she looked at him and spoke. " Mhm.. Once I try out these so called burgers I ll go back to training." She ignored the "accidentally blowing you up" part of his speech, while it was mocking in a way it did hold some truth, if she doesn't learn how to defend herself properly anyone would just step on her like a bug. She looked at Yoichi s hand making mini-explosions with admiration, while it was not that big of a deal, it seemed like he has control of his powers, and it was kinda cool. As they waited for the traffic to stop, she was tempted to use her telekinetic powers to make the cars stop, but once she thinked about it would probably make more problems rather than solving them instead.
Yoichi looked at Nyn, shaking his head when she said she didn't know what friends were. Then again, he was in no place to tell her. He made sure to isolate himself from people just so he could focus more on himself and continue to give a rat's ass about anyone else. She had a point when she said it's better to get things out of your system rather than bottle them up though, and that was one thing he lived by. He hated not telling people what was on his mind. Especially if that truth could actually help whoever needed it, mean or not. Traffic came to a stop just as Nyn mentioned burgers, which was nice. He put his hands in his pockets, and looked down at the ground, "Just so you know, we stay in those lines as we walk across. Safety stuff." He told Nyn, as he took his first step out onto the street, soon making his way across towards the restaurant. "These guys have a ton of different burgers, so whatever looks most interesting to you, I'd suggest getting that, or something off of the regular menu. Sometimes just the basics are good too." Yoichi told Nyn, coming to a stop in front of their destination, he held opened the door for her to go in first.

Masahi let out a quick breath that was two or three steps from a laugh. Roman? Surrounded by people? By great people? It was a really far cry from where he was even before Masahi being crushed. But Masahi was ultimately happy about it, on the inside. The small shards of the boy that threw his best friend out of the way felt like he was getting closure. At least Roman was able to carry on the dreams of that foolish young boy.

"Trust me, I've seen the world a few too many times, don't undersell how much you can affect others, especially with how much this guy hides. I'm just glad he was able to find a good life after what he had to witness, twice at that."

Perhaps it was from the years of going into places he wasn't wanted, or rather infiltrating various locations blind, but Masahi had gotten a knack for guessing where things were, or would be. Him taking the lead while carrying around Roman was a display of such educated guessing. Though As Mal had spoken Masahi stopped at a door and turned to her, his face the same as ever except for a quiet curiosity lighting his eyes as he spoke back.

"Well, at least we have some grounds to agree upon, I'd dislike having to bicker with Roman's wife. As for what happened... Well, he was hit in the head while our guards were down. Anyways, is this your two's room?"

She had been looking at the traffic for a minute now, curious as to how cars function or if they were sentient beings. " Oh, makes sense I guess." She was used to levitate upwards to avoid walking through the traffic as people looked at her in both amazement and fear, she followed his advice and walked across the lines. " Different burgers? I never knew there were different types of burgers, it might be hard for me to decide honestly." She then stopped once she was infront of the restaurant doors, looking through the glass she saw lots of people eating burgers, her stomach made a noticeably loud growl, she didn't know what was happening to her but she hoped he didn't hear it. When Yoichi held the door for her she looked at him with a raised brow, it took her a second or two to recognize the gesture, she walked inside looking at many signs promoting what she assumed were burgers. She didn't like crowded areas, but since she was with someone she knew it made the situation more bearable.

"You mean the big pile of overly emo teenaged angst? hes playing an electric guitar in the rain sitting on the wall. I take it, your sister has been ignoring him, dealing with stuff and he feels all like a dofus." Apollyon sat as he tried not to over dramatize the situation. "Well, I wanted to ball blast him back to his era with every piece of boomstick i have, but I am open to suggestions." he finished as he relaxed with his friend.

For how little emotion Masahi's face showed, which was basically none, Mal could guess from what he was saying that he was fond of Roman. She was aware that Roman had a rough past, even if she didn't know the whole story but that's not what she cared about. She was just happy she could be there for Roman now.

"I'm glad I'm able to be a part of his life now. I might not have been there for him through his rougher times, but I plan on being there for him, even if he tries to be stubborn about it."

She continued to follow Masahi as he was somehow making his way to their room like this wasn't his first time going there. Maybe he had visited before and she was surprised for no reason, but she was positive she'd never seen him around before until now. She brushed the thought from her mind when he spoke, focusing more on what he was saying and getting Roman to the room so that Masahi didn't have to continue carrying him. Her eyebrows knitted together, concerned for the two when he briefly explained what happened.

"I see, that's terrible. Well, I'm glad your both alright and nobody got hurt. Ah.... yes, this is the right room, let me get the door for you."

She was amazed that he was able to tell, maybe she'd ask about it sometime in the future if they were to ever run into each other again. She made her way in front of him before he could think about going right through the door, opening it and stepping aside while motioning towards the bed.

Yuki followed Ansom, soon looking at the stack of menus and decided to take one. She followed him to the table near the back of the room and when they got there, she pulled up a chair and sat down. She then opened the menu and started to look through the list of foods they had. She examined the burgers and the salads before moving to the drinks. She looked up at Ansom and spoke softly. "Is there anything you recommend? There's a lot of stuff on the menu but I dunno what to pick."

Nodding in thanks, Masahi took Roman into the room ready to be rid of the unconscious Ishida's dead weight, even though it was nothing to him. Perhaps it was then his senses started kicking back in as the small crisis he would have caused had been avoided. Luckily Mal had been the only one to see Roman's limp body, but even so, Masahi started to square off his shoulders and fill his body with tension, like springs slowly compressing. Doing so, he set Roman down on the bed as he spoke with power in his voice, almost as if giving an order.

"At this point, it would be best to close the door from the inside, no one else needs to know his state. That's what's best for now. And as for the stubbornness..."

Cutting off his sentence mid-thought, Masahi closed his eyes for a brief moment and nodded to himself. What to do about a stubborn Roman? The very idea, the notion of it brought memories flooding back. Sunny afternoons, just after lunch, maybe an hour or two later. His body sweaty and tired from training, Roman being an introverted, prideful, higher-than-thou, little prick. Masahi's hot temper causing him to yell at Roman and Roman seemingly not caring, leading to Masahi to punching him. Maybe it seemed like the two not getting along, but that was their own way. A smile cracked Masahi's usual bitch face followed by a laugh.

"To get through to him you just need to give him a firm hit to the face while yelling, at least, that's how it use to work for me. Otherwise, he'd just do his own thing. Only twice were words alone enough. By the way, with how tough he is, nothing bad should come of this, just minor loss of conscious."

Having said that he moved away from the bed for the moment, to let Mal get close to Roman as she had wanted to when he first walked in the door. With a fading smile, he gestured her to do so.

Diana hissed slightly when she felt the same strong sting of pain of her arm connecting up, a hot sigh escaping her mouth as she moved her normal arm up to her metallic one as she moved it around, opening and closing the hand. A look of anger covering her face as she looked at it before it faded quickly, a bit of a forced smile replacing it as she looked at Elliot.

"Uhm... So... You wouldn't happen to have a phone would you?" She said awkwardly as she let out a short laugh before giving a short sigh.
Elliot watched her reaction silently like he was examining it, he wondered why she always looked mad when he would help her with her arm. He originally thought she was just mad at him but realised that it wasn't that. He stopped when she had asked of he had a phone, he guessed he'd ask later instead of now. Nodding in response he reached into his pocket and pulled his phone out and handed it to her. "Here. Go ahead."

Diana took the phone from Elliot as she gave him a light smile, "Thanks, It should only take a moment," She said giving giving the same smile as before she took a couple steps away, leaning against the wall to the kitchen before she tapped in some numbers holding the phone to her ear as a low ringing noise sounded out, "Hello? Who is this?" An empty toned voice sounded out over the phone as Diana smiled a bit more than before, "Hey Abigail, it's me Diana," A crashing noise could be heard over the phone before Diana retracted the phone from her ear knowing what was next "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD AND ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY IS HI!?" The screaming from Abigail sounded out as Diana gave a short laugh, "Uh... I'm fine.. I met someone who helped me out, and their pretty sweet as well," She said as a light blush coated her cheeks, casting a look over at Elliot.

A short conversation ensued before Diana gave the location to where they were over the phone, a quick goodbye and the call was ended, giving a light sigh she walked back over to Elliot holding out the phone to him, a light blush still coating her cheeks, "Thanks," She said smiling lightly towards him.

Yoichi walked inside after Nyn, the door slowly closing behind him as he let it go. "Alright, we'll find ourselves a seat. Preferably one close to the windows, I like looking out of them when I'm here." He said to her as he pointed to a booth. "Over there seems good, follow me." Yoichi finished, before walking towards the booth he had just pointed at. Once he made it there, he took a seat on one side of the booth, sliding in close to the window and turning to look out of it. He simply looked, observing the things that were going on out there. "Now we wait, someone will be with us shortly, Nyn."

Mal nodded in agreement, moving back to the door and shutting it. If anyone were to see an unconscious Roman it'd lead to a lot of questions. She didn't want any unwanted company anyways, she felt it was better that she was the only one to find out about this. Listening to his suggestion of punching Roman in the face, she immediately started laughing and spared a glance at Roman's unconscious body as she spoke.

"Oh god, I don't know if I could ever bring myself to do that, I'd feel horrible. Maybe if it's my last option I will, but after I try every other possible option."

She was quick to move over to Roman when he gestured for her to do so, he didn't seem to have any severe injuries but she wanted to make sure. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed next to Roman, she took a moment to search for anything she should get checked out. Seeing nothing, she smiled, it wasn't strange that he wasn't bruised, she knew how quick his body was to heal itself in these cases and expected nothing less.

"He seems to be fine, the most pain he'll feel when he wakes up is a possible headache. At least, from what I've experienced. So, Tobi, I'm guessing from what you've told me that you're a close friend of Roman's? I'm glad he has a friend like you, it sounds like you're pretty fond of Roman."

Han chuckled at the way his partner described the kid. "That's one way to put it. Can't believe he's so hung up over my sister. If he loves her so much, he'd understand how hard things like this can be for her. After all, I was gone for years. Don't worry about why though, I can explain that to you a different time." Han said, waving his hand at one of the bookshelves, a book soon floating over to his hand. "You don't think that'd be over doing it? Like I said before, harming this kid would bring us problems, so I'm happy you're willing to not hurt him and listen to some ideas. One step of action we could take is bringing him to his mother. Let her coddle her little boy back into that big strong fellow I faced off against... Or we just explain to him that acting like a little emo shit isn't going to help him. Once again, pummeling him again is out of question. We aren't kicking his ass. So we can take him to his mom, or force him to hear us out. That's all I have... That doesn't involve splitting him and my sister up. I've already broken her heart once by abandoning them, I'm not going for a second time." He said, sending the book back to the shelves. "Any ideas?"

"The thing is, I don't think we can hurt him easily without outright killing him. However, I do think the mommy idea warrants merit. But the problem is, shes been around through many eras, and well, he died in his. So from my investigations, mommas in his era were not the coddling and cookies type. Reading the great myths and legends tells us that mothers were just as rough on their sons as their fathers. However, since shes obviously still exuding motherly vibes, we can use her. However, a boy to men talk might also work. But that path will also might lead to a meeting of the fists, and I do not have it in me anymore to coddle him. If i have to fight him, your sister will be kissing him through an iron lung." he spoke frankly, as he did not remember being this effing difficult in his teenage years. "I dont think we can split them up, but if he carries on as such she might need her space, which will cause more rifts, and more emo edginess. I will not tolerate that." he finished as he pulled out a small chunk of Provolone and nibbled.

You really don't think we could split them up? Sorry to break it to you man, but with the way my sister is right now, that'd be extremely easy, but I've already decided that it'd be a no go." Han said, shaking his head. "And if his mother is as rough as his father is or was, then what the hell should we do? I mean, she'd probably send a few punches his way if we don't... And we won't. We absolutely will not. I guess we'll just have to use the mom then. I mean, there isn't nothing we can do and like you said a man-to-man might just lead to more problems between he and I. So, ready to be "bamfed" to the school so we can talk to her? I mean, she'd understand more than we will what the hell is going on with her boy."

"Sure we can try to talk to her. Its worth the shot." he agreed and braced himself for what was to come. "Ready when you are." he finished. He loved that beings with power just bamfed him where ever they wanted him. Agreed, he cant banf anywhere, well maybe he could, if he wanted to try and see the extent of his powers. But as it stands it seemed like a pain in the ass to try so he closed his eyes waiting for the rush of being returned to where he was before, plus one more.
