Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

"That was today, wasn't it?" Ansom said in response to Shira and Mitsu's whereabouts. He sighed a bit and shook his head. He always forgot mortal holidays, including birthdays and other bigger days. It wasn't a surprise for Ansom to have forgotten Mother's Day in particular. After all, he didn't have a mom...or brother...or any type of generational kin at all. He noticed as Yuki played around with his hand so he slowly retracted it, placing it into his pocket with his thumb still sticking out. He turned towards Neo when she spoke as he had momentarily forgotten her presence. He tended to do thay, no matter the person. His focus had been all out of sync for the past few months and he struggled to reclaim it. He did nod as Yuki began to walk away. "Alright. Thanks for taking care of the crowdly stares." He chuckled and waved before turning back to his daughter. When she began to mumble, he craned his neck a bit in order to actually hear the girl. When she was finished speaking, he chuckled slightly, believing very well the spiel was a joke. "Last time I checked, you weren't very fond of me." Ansom said in between his chuckles. "I figured we weren't on hugging and kissing on the cheek terms."
(Note: It was Neo who walked away. Yuki's the daughter lol)
Yuki shook her head. "It wasn't about fondness. It's the disconnection between us because of my hatred. I decided I can't hate someone forever, no matter who they are." She said before she looked up at Ansom, her gold-colored eyes looking into his. She then walked towards him and wrapped her arms around him, delicately almost seeming as if she was fragile. "A hug would've been fine for now, you know? You could still even offer it." She said as she buried her face into his chest, her scent of jasmine nearly reaching Ansom. It was true Yuki was angry at Ansom for treating Shira poorly, as well as taking her away from her. She was also angry at Ansom because he left her mother when she was pregnant and didn't take responsibility, making her mom, raise Yuki all on her own. But it's been a few years now, and she finally understood that Ansom had been alive for a very long time. Possibly centuries. It's understandable that one would get bored and will try to have some fun in some way.

//Yeah, sorry. It was a typo xD

Ansom listened to his daughter speak. He raised his eyebrows when she mentioned not being able to hate someone forever. He was about to make a snarky comment of sorts but was cut off by Yuki hugging him, something that genuinely surprised him. He enjoyed genuine surprises. He always had. It was so boring to be able to see all the chaos in the universe, all the trouble, the turmoil, and the conflict of the past, present, and future. To be able to see practically everything. Surprises were always a nice change of pace. It took a moment for Ansom to shake off his surprise and when he did, he returned the hug. Gingerly, the Anti-God wrapped his arms around his daughter, pressing one hand near her shoulder blade and the other over the arch of her back. "I suppose I could've offered a hug. I guess I was just worried of messing up again." He chuckled slightly and then gave a small sigh. "It truly is good to see you again."

It didn't take long for Hakuru's face to completely turn a light shade of pink. It wasn't only because of what Everest had just done, but she could hear Yuri snickering from her seat. The laughing soon stopped though when her drink seemed to mysteriously slide off the table and onto her. "Y-Yeah I'm sure. Now let go, you're going to get me in trouble with the manager"
Everest sighed and gave her one last tight squeeze of a hug before letting her go and picking up the fork to eat the plate of food she had brought to him while he looked at her. "What are you doing after your shift?"

Hakuru took a moment to think, was she doing anything? As far as she was aware she didn't have any plans. "I didn't plan on doing anything besides going home, why?"

Makoto nodded before heading in. She took out the bowls from the bags and set it down against the wall. She then opened one of the dog food bags and poured it into the bowl. Since it was a pretty big bag, she didn't pour it all obviously. She only poured enough to where it filled the bowl. She then set the bag down and got the other bowl and headed to the sink and filled it with water. Once she done that, she set it next to the bowl of food and put the wolf down near the food. It walked towards it and began eating. Makoto watched the dog eat, smiling before she looked at Akane. "Alright, I guess that's that." She said before she started to head out of the room, waiting for Akane to lead her towards the kitchen.
Akane watched as the wolf went to its now full food and water bowls. It was rather cute seeing such a small animal do things. Then again, that's what the internet was for, right? Watching small animals be cute. As Makoto walked out of the room, Akane followed behind her, closing the door once she was out. "The door is voice activated, I made sure to have it record your voice when we were close enough, so at the sound of your voice, the door will open up." She explained before walking down the hall, and towards the stairs. "Next stop, the kitchen. Gonna get that done and eat, then off to bed we go." Akane said, as she made her way down the stairs and now en route to the kitchen.

Yuki nodded. She then looked down to the bag that Ansom was holding, curious as to what it was. "Hey Dad, what's in the bag? I'm just curious because you have a lot of stuff. I heard from Mitsu about all the cars you have." She said before looking back up to him. She seemed to be a bit younger. It was definitely a change of things from hatred to forgiveness, reestablishing a connection. She was now curious as to what Ansom does in his spare time. The contents of the bag, may be a starting point. Or is it just groceries? If it was, then how did Ansom get them? Did he pay for it using human currency or did he manage to steal it? If he was using money, then does he work or manifest it? Or does he buy and sell things? She had so many questions for her father but it would be too much to answer all at once.

As Akane explained to Makoto about the door, she was almost amazed. A door that opens up to the sound of one's voice is... Impressive and extra. She believed such technology shouldn't be wasted on something so trivial as to opening guest room doors. It was just more simpler to use a key instead or maybe even a key card. From fingerprint recognition on phones, facial recognition on computers, and now even voice recognition on doors. It all seemed unnecessary and extra to her. Such time should be spent on something greater, not on something so simple. It's like a church choir soloist trying to add their touch on the song only to have too much vibrato and sing off beat. If you just sang it according to the notation in your music sheet, it would still sound good. Though she kept it to herself as to not disrespect the time and effort of people who made such things. When she heard Akane talk about what they were gonna do, she smiled. "Sounds good. Hm, I wonder, what do you like eating mostly?" Makoto asked curiously as she followed beside Akane.

"I'm not hungry. In fact, I... Don't need to eat at all. I just do it because I like the tastes." Akane said, shrugging her shoulders. A human that doesn't need to eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom. She mentally slapped herself as she began to realize that her lie about being one was only starting to seem even more far-fetched. "It's one of the reasons I've survived for so long." She added, hoping it'd all fall into place, because she did say she was around for a pretty long time earlier in the day. "Kind of the reason I'm immortal now. I don't exactly have human needs. Or any at that." She explained. Unfortunately, it hasn't struck her how bad of a liar she truly is. It's almost pitiful, but as long as Makoto remained unaware of what she truly was, then things would be alright. She didn't need to know about this stuff. Not any time soon at all. As she finished talking, and overthinking to herself, she turned a corner and went into a room, the room being the kitchen; their destination. "Well, time to get to it. What was it that you wanted again?" Akane asked as she went to grab an apron. "If you wish to help, there's some more aprons too."

Yuki nodded. She then looked down to the bag that Ansom was holding, curious as to what it was. "Hey Dad, what's in the bag? I'm just curious because you have a lot of stuff. Ansom looked down at the smaller bag around his wrist. He had completely forgotten about it and was mildly confused by why he had it. After a few moments of staring at the unmarked bag, he nodded. "Ah right!" He chuckled and shook his head, lifting the bag up higher so he could reach his other hand into it. He grabbed something and pulled it out, revealing a small white bunny. The bunny blinked as the light hit its eyes, its nose twitching with its annoyance of being awoken. "This is Ferrari." He said with a smile. "Mitsu visited me a couple weeks ago and she mentioned something about me getting a pet so I wasn't so alone." He shrugged his shoulders. "I was going to get a snake but then I saw this little guy."

When Makoto heard Akane's explanation, she began to think that Akane was hiding something from her. She could tell that she wasn't very good at fabricating her own lies. However, Makoto will just have to pretend she never noticed. She looked at her after she asked what she wanted. She made it look like she was spacing out, at least it was the only way to make Akane believe that her disguise was still in perfect condition. "...Huh? Oh, shrimp tempura and sushi please. I'm sorry, I was just spacing out. I was thinking that the voice recognition on a door was... How should I put this... Extra?" She half lied and confessed. True, the voice recognition door was on her mind and it was starting to annoy her that you can make a small task seem so complicated to complete. Though she obviously wasn't thinking about it when Akane was lying.

She was happy to know that Ansom had an eye for cute things and cute animals. It's making her see a new side of Ansom, a side she never thought she'd ever see. It was almost unbelievable but she can see it right in front of her. She was also glad Ansom didn't get the snake. They're not as cute as bunnies. "Mitsu's a thoughtful girl." (Though it reminds me of this picture)

"Alright and... The voice recognition? Because, we have the funds to do so. It's... A big experiment of sorts too. Voice recognition has been a thing for awhile now, it's been added to many different types of technology, we've just been perfected it on home appliances to make it easier for those who may not be able to use their things normally. For example someone who can't open a door with their own hands, and that person lives alone. They're not getting in that room anytime soon. That, and doesn't everyone deserve to treat themselves in some way?" Akane explained to Makoto. With a sigh, she tightened the apron around her waist. "I wouldn't expect you to understand... Not yet at least. But if you do, then you'd realize that a lot of the tech you've come across, not many people have access too. For the common man, the things we have here are just futuristic knick-knacks. When the time comes though, pretty sure everyone will have this kind of stuff in their homes when we make it public tech." She said, before walking over to the fridge and getting out some of the ingredients she needed for the shrimp and sushi. "Trust me, its all for a better cause. Not just for the bragging rights."

When Akane began talking about the voice recognition tech, Makoto spaced out for real. Though she did get the gist of it. But don't people who can't use their hands use an alternative, like their feet? However, she didn't to drag this conversation on a bit longer. Makoto nodded and just sat at the kitchen table watching Akane make her food. She was wondering if Akane was something other than an immortal human. She could already guess that Akane was something else. And it's in terms of her being. (sorry a bit rushed xD)

"Yeah, you´re right about that.. We got to know quite alot about us in this short time. I didn´t know I was that different to not make you leave though, I assume not beign boring is good since you are still talking to me.. though I don´t know what makes me not boring." Now that she thinks about it was quite surprising how much time has passed since that moment at the gym, time flew like nothing and she wondered why. " Hmm..while it is true that you weren´t so nice back then.. You sticked along and helped me out, like not making fun of me because of my lack of knowledge... you also teached me to not let scary things stop me from keep on going and such. I don´t really care how mean you were before, in my opinion what matters is how much you have helped me and how you are talking to me now.. So thats that." Her energy was almost full at the moment, she was still wishing to try the burgers though. " Don`t worry, I will do my best to get stronger.. and I think having sessions will be quite interesting" She took notice of his worrying when he said she shouldn´t think like that which made her smirk once again, she was starting to get used to smirking at this point. " I agree it will... and as for the saving...you saved me from the guilt, my past and my fears. If you wouldn´t have kept talking with me I probably wouldn´t be the same as I am now.. that counts as saving someone atleast for me."
Yoichi raised a brow and looked at Nyn, the look on his face gave off the vibe that maybe he was examining her. "You're a mystery. You woke up, not knowing where the hell you were, but what you did know is that you did something. Something you regret, but it was out of your control. Wanting to know answers. You're life is almost like a movie now, and well I want to see how you go about getting those answers. That and seeing as how no one likes a person with a shitty attitude, I wouldn't be able to make many friends. I'd just piss them off... If they don't piss me off first. I like to think it's because of my brutal honesty and need to tell people off when they deserve it rather than hold it in like some sort of dead inside suck up." He explained to Nyn, hoping she'd understand. When she told him about the things he had done so far, he simply looked away, facing the opposite direction. He didn't say anything about it, because there wasn't anything to say. All that she had said he done was true, and well he just had to accept it. Trying to focus on himself, he ended up helping someone, and well even plans to feed them. "Good to hear that you're gonna work towards getting stronger. I don't wanna accidentally blow you to bits." He told her, holding his hand out in front of him, using his powers, he caused his hand to spark, creating small explosions in the palm of his hand. Without looking at her, he simply responded to her last statement with a nod. "There. We're here. Just right across the street, and we'll have your burger." He said to Nyn as he waited for traffic to come to a stop, that way they can cross the street with no problem. One thing he never did was use his powers unnecessarily, because he could just cause an explosion that propels them over there, but he figured it'd be better this way.

Nyn remained quiet as she heard him talking about her story, while it wasn't the thing she liked thinking about the most, she acknowledged it was an interesting story, and not knowing how she 'll end up discovering her origins left her quite intrigued. Once he mentioned his attitude she spoke up. " Well.. I don't know what friends are but I assume it has to do with people, while brutal honesty has its downs it has its ups too.. There are some people who deserve to get off, and I think its better to get things out rather than suck it all like a balloon and then explode." She then started to think just where the hell that whole "balloon" example came from, she didn't even know what a balloon was, but it somehow came out naturally as if she heard about it somewhere. She then shook her head slightly leaving those thoughs for another time, she did not want to look awkward around him, when she heard him talk she looked at him and spoke. " Mhm.. Once I try out these so called burgers I ll go back to training." She ignored the "accidentally blowing you up" part of his speech, while it was mocking in a way it did hold some truth, if she doesn't learn how to defend herself properly anyone would just step on her like a bug. She looked at Yoichi s hand making mini-explosions with admiration, while it was not that big of a deal, it seemed like he has control of his powers, and it was kinda cool. As they waited for the traffic to stop, she was tempted to use her telekinetic powers to make the cars stop, but once she thinked about it would probably make more problems rather than solving them instead.

Ansom chuckled and looked up from the bunny and back towards Yuki. "I will definitely take care of it well. I'm tired of neglecting the things that need my attention the most." He stared at Yuki for a few more moments before clearing his throat and turning back to his bunny. He smiled a bit and began to lift his arm where the bag originally was...however there was no longer a bag. It was a small crate that could fit the bunny comfortably. It was almost like the bag was never there. Ansom opened the crate and placed Ferrari gently inside. "Mitsu is very thoughtful. Something she picked up for her mother for sure. I'm pretty sure she took after her mom almost one hundred percent." He chuckled slightly but there was a hint of sadness behind the noise. "You remind me of your mother as well." He cleared his throat again as to literally steer his thoughts elsewhere. "It's really awkward standing out in the streets to catch up. Did you want to come back to my apartment? Or me to yours? Or even some kind of diner?"

When Ansom said it was awkward standing in the streets, she nodded in agreement. She took out her phone and started to text Neo that she'd be going out with Ansom somewhere. After she did, Neo texted back, letting Yuki know that it has been read. Neo just said that she'll be going back to Yuki's and Shira's place to drop off the bags and then go to her sister's place. Yuki looked up and spoke as she put away her phone. "We could go to your apartment. Unless you're hungry, then we could go to a diner. Our place is a bit of a mess so, let's not go there."

Ansom watched as Yuki whipped out her phone and began texting away. He waited patiently, nonchalantly shifting his weight from leg to leg, causing him to sway to and fro slightly. Whenever Yuki spoke up with her response, Ansom stopped shifting and gave a nod of his own. "Alright. Before that Neo gal stopped me, I was on my home to heat up some chicken from last night for dinner. I suppose I would rather have some better food." He gave a chuckle, his purple eyes sparkling slightly along with his humorous attitude. "I know of a diner just down the block. I enjoy it immensely. I might even stop myself from blowing it up." He winked and turned to begin walking, motioning Yuki with his free hand to let her know to follow.

Roman nodded, agreeing with what Masahi was saying to him, but in a way he was wrong. Roman was busy almost 24/7 now. He had spent time on missions and such during his time as the family head, but lately nothing has been as much of a threat to him or his family. In other words, there has been no need for his skills on the battlefield, so he turned his attention to the desk work.

"You're right, but I'm not gonna place myself where I'm not exactly needed. Someone has to maintain things back at the fort, and that's what I've been doing. With my position, I've been completely booked and haven't had the time, and my second-in-command is just as booked as I am. I can't say I'm any weaker than I was, but maybe a bit rusty... And for someone like me, it won't take much to get rid of the rust. We grew up fighting, Masahi. It's something that's in our blood. In a way, it's something we were meant to do, which is why I agree with you."

Taking into account what Masahi said earlier, he had only just now thought about it. Taking the piece of paper that was handed to him, he opened his vest pocket up, and slid the paper into it before closing it. With a sigh, Roman looked up to the sky before looking at Masahi once again. He soon spoke, voicing his opinion about a normal life, and Masahi.

"Alright, but before I go... I just wanted to let you know that a normal life isn't out of reach for you. With the way we grew up, if I were able to get one, then you should be just as capable of attaining one too. You're still my friend, even after all that happened before. So... If you ever need any help, I'm willing to lend you all that I can. Just ask, and without a doubt, you'd have my assistance."

With a smile on his face, Roman turned around, not facing Masahi anymore. He then walked over to the ledge of the building, looking down to see if he saw anyone before he made his departure.
Masahi could only offer what he had observed himself over his years of working from the shadows. Of course, he had used several people as puppets as a stand-in for the position of either boss or leader, but he never took the role directly as Roman had. He hadn't had to manage anyone too much, instead building networks and foundations so his plans would just fall into place, that way he could always shift his attention when needed.

"If you planned right, the fort would manage itself. But perhaps it's different when family and business are mixed? I've had the use for clans before so I haven't studied the ethics. As for rust, that only comes when you neglect even basic maintenance. And if that's the case, then I'm willing to bet your muscles have gotten softer as well. If even they remember the movements, it won't matter if you can't put out 100%. So don't think just getting rid of the rust will be enough."

As Masahi elaborated his point he thought of all he had gone through, and how it ended up being for nothing after he was unable to force himself beyond the final hurdle, the last moral horizon. Without that last step he had become just another villain, he couldn't wash that way and return to normal, whatever that could be at this point. He would never be the good guy again, all he could afford to do now is offer up his time aiming towards a better tomorrow. However, when Roman started to talk again Masahi felt a ping of sadness at first, but then it tore itself apart becoming heated anger. That anger blazed into action as Masahi lashed out without thought.

"DamnItDon'tYouPityMe!"

Masahi roared as he felt his hand connect with something, the impact traveling up his arm before it stopped at his shoulder. Then a thud sounded and with it, realization struck Masahi.

"Oh fuck. Shit. Roman, you okay?"

Even though he knew his childhood friend was out cold, Masahi still sent the query to him with a sliver of hope it was a gag. However, at this point, there was only one this to do.

Several minutes later

Having picked up Roman and thrown him over his shoulder, Masahi had guiltily made his way back to the Ishida estate. At the front door, he sighed, collecting himself before he knocked on the door. Then he knocked again after several minutes. After waiting for so long Masahi looked around before activating Kamui and poking his head through the door.

Yuki giggled a bit as her father joked. She followed beside him, wondering what kind of food the diner would have. She then thought that if Ansom enjoys it immensely, he must know some food from the menu that she might like. So, Yuki looked up at Ansom, questioning him about the food on the menu at the diner. Well, before that, she asked what it was called. She'll hold off on asking about food once she knows what the place was called. You could get a lot of info about the food just by reading the name of the building. "So what's the diner called? I don't really know what kind of food is there so I just want to get a generalization about it based off the title, if you know what I mean." She asked without a clue in the world, literally. She doesn't really know what Ansom likes. Ferrari, the bunny, and the cars Mitsu told her about was all she knew about Ansom's likes and dislikes and hobbies. Well, she was never told of dislikes or hobbies. She only had the assumption that Ansom liked to collect cars.

Ansom whistled as he walked along the sidewalk. It was an odd tune that sounded like it could've been a song but there was always an off-putting sound to it. It was almost like a single pitch among many was slightly off. He had one hand in his pocket and the other holding the caged bunny. When his daughter spoke, Ansom turned and stopped his whistling. "I don't think it has a name. It's a small little hole in the wall, ran by Ms. Judy." He smiled a bit. Ms. Judy was one of the few humans that Ansom could actually tolerate. She was kind and knew how to hold a proper conversation. She was also fearless, refusing to be wary of Anson simply because of what he was. Plus, there was also the fact that she didn't run away out of his life. "It's a typical diner, selling samdeiches, salads, burgers, and small personal pizzas." He smiled, looking over towards Yuki. "They also server these homemade red velvet milkshakes and you've got to try one of those."

ΩAbigail Black CoatΩ
Abigail sat at one of the many bar stools as she slowly sipped on the dark red liquid she was holding, not like anything else other than blood could get her drunk by this point. The light from the day, or what could from the storm, was flooding in as 5 people sat down at one of the many tables and played a game of poker while smoke filled the air between there laughs, large piles of cash were on each side of the table instead of the regular chips.

The bar tender had taken over a tray of five glass cups of yellow liquid as they all said no in conjunction, grabbing their piles of money and talking as they made there way back up to there rooms on the second floor, "Ma'am I do believe we should kick them out, the building seems to dislike them," The bartender, his pure black eyes and swirling horns on his head looked at her before she sighed, "No can do, they'll leave when their boss does, just the way it goes," She said nonchalantly as she swigged down the remainder of the red liquid, staining the glass in the process.

Placing it back down it cleaned itself up with a small spark before Abigail looked up at the window against the wall, it would most likely be gone by tomorrow but still, the normal light was a nice touch, if a bit cloudy with the storm breaking outside. As she gave this thought, the demon walked back behind the bar, cleaning out the glass she just drank from before he placed it down and refilled it, restarting the process again.

--Apollyon--

The crumbs fell from his hands as he finished off a good hunk of blue cheese. He waited for his partner Han or just anything to do to cure this boredom. And if that retard did not stop playing the guitar in the rain, he was going to shoot the boy down with every gun he can manage to create or get ahold of. Seriously.

Sitting in his now finished library, Han looked around. An area filled with all the books he needed. Mostly lore on angels and demons, and then many other stories, written by both mortals and the gods. Without moving a muscle, he disappeared from his chair and in front of Apollyon. He simply looked at him, raising a brow and tilting his head in curiosity before placing a hand on his shoulder and taking him with him back to his library. Han reappeared in his chair, and Apollyon standing in front of him. "Hey there, partner. Might not recognize me. Not dressed like this and all. But its been awhile has it not?" He asked, standing up to meet Apollyon, reaching out a hand, awaiting a handshake from his partner and friend.

--Apollyon--

"It sure has been awhile, bro." he spoke, while taking his friends hand. It was a lot to process at the moment. "I'd recognize you even if you were dressed as a lady." he replied as he looked around the room. It appeared to be a library of sorts. "So whats up? must be pretty important to drag me away." he asked carefully as he relaxed. He knew he was safe for the most part. But what he did not know was where exactly he was.
