Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

When asked where did food come from, Yoichi looked back at Nyn with sort of a confused look. "Food comes from many places... Animals. Plants. The seas themselves. It may not be something you're willing to talk about, but now I'm curious about where you come from and your upbringing... Like... Seriously. I mean nothing by it, but a lot of the things I mention, you either know nothing about it, or the bare minimum." Yoichi told Nyn. As they continued along, and she answered his question about her favorite food, he made sure to make a mental note about it. He was good at that. "Burgers are pretty similar to sandwiches. They're usually just beef patties though, or vegetables depending on your diet. As for wanting to hang out with you again, I guess it wouldn't kill me. It'd take some getting used to... Having someone to keep up with that is. But who knows, maybe in the future we'd end up being friends... I think. Never know, I keep an open mind about those things."

" Ooh... Thats quite interesting." She knew what animals were, but she never heard about the sea, making her even more curious about the outside world. His sudden asking for her birthplace caught her off guard once again, and even though she didn't like talking about it, she was pretty much stuck in that conversation, she felt like there was no way to avoid it at all. "...My bad... Its that... you see.. A few hours ago I woke up in the middle of the street.. I do know basic speech and the such, but I do not know many things such as complex words or my past.. I don't even know my real name.. All I know is that there was a scythe next to me when I woke up and.." She stopped, trying to find the right words, she remained silent for a few seconds before she continued. " It.. made me do things im not sure to be proud of." She heard his talk about beign friends, normally she would be somewhat excited about it and respond, but right now she isn't expecting such thing to happen now that she told him her story.

Yoichi almost chuckled at her response about the food and where it came from being interesting. "It can be, yes. If you're willing to know the process and whatnot. Pretty scary stuff... But don't worry about that." He told her, before allowing her to speak. She seemed pretty upset almost. "That's pretty fucked up, but if it made you do it, then is it your fault?" Yoichi asked curiously. "Better yet, don't answer that. Just try not to think about it if it upsets you. Kinda don't wanna be around all the sad shit." He added, saying the last part under his breath. "So, lets get these burgers and worry about the present."

" Well.. I am willing to know more about it... Although I don't know what scary is." She looked at him raising her brow, he seemed like he was about to laugh because of something she couldn't know why.
The question he said next left her thinking alot about it, Is it really your fault?, she didn't really know.
What she did know is that in the end his words did made her feel better about the situation, which she honestly didn't think it would.
" Yeah.. you are right.. I shouldn't think about it too much.. and focus more about whats infront of me." She looked at him, and almost with a smile replied. " I know I shouldn't concern or annoy you with my problems but... your words helped me quite alot.. thank you Yoichi."

"Is that so? Well, its something that makes you feel uncomfortable. Like to the point where you're shaking because you want to get away... In fact, the moment you find yourself running from someone, it's most likely going to be out of fear." Yoichi explained. "Actually, I know I told you I wont mention it, but that damned scythe you were going on about, the one that made you do those things, there's the perfect example. You fear what it made you do, and you can't face it. That's scary... or fear." He told her. Shrugging his shoulders, he looked at Nyn, "When you are scared of something, don't let it stop you though, so when you do learn of how meat is made, don't let it stop you if you enjoy it. Never run." Yoichi then turned to face forward again as he walked alongside Nyn. "My words helped you, huh? I'm so focused on myself, I never really know when I am helping someone... Don't sweat it, Nyn. I guess you've been helping me in a sense too."

" Fear... I see now." Although she did not like fear at all, she was somewhat fascinated by how it affects her. Yoichi s advice really impacted her in a way, to face her fears even if threatening, "Never run" was sure to stick in her mind. She was quietly hearing him talk, it took her a minute to realize he had finished. "... Oh.. Well now you do know you helped me quite alot.. I think I understand that in a way, sometimes I don't realize Im in my own thoughs for too long." She then started to walk alongside Yoichi, his last words left her confused and surprised at the same time. " I have one question though... How am I helping you? I don't know you in-depth but for the few times I ve heard you talk you sound quite... confident."

"I can understand that." Yoichi said, agreeing with Nyn about realizing she's almost always in her thoughts, or in them for too long at that. As the two continued to walk, he raised a brow and looked over to her again, "How have you helped me? Well, you're one of the few people I've actually managed to hold a conversation with. I always hear people say my attitude is piss poor, but never really cared. I still don't. You... Haven't said much about it. As for my confidence, it's because I know I'm gonna make it somewhere. If I can remain confident in myself, then there will be no one who can stop me. I won't let anyone stop me. You are confident in yourself too, right? Seems like you were back in the training room..."

Once she heard his reason about how she helped him her eyes were slightly wider, mostly because it made her feel important, as little as it was it made her feel like she mattered atleast something to him. When she heard about his attitude she looked back at him. " Well.. The first words you said at me back at the gym gave me the idea you were mean, when I fainted and woke up in the infirmary seeing you there.. I though you maybe weren't so bad. I don't know if you re doing this because you think you owe me or something.. but with the little chat we had right now.. I know you re a nice person, I did not like your attitude at the beggining, but now I think I like it, after all, if It wasn't for that attitude we probably wouldn't have this conversation right now. She then looked at her front, it was hard to perceive, but she sounded like she was happy. " Hmm.. I never knew confidence can take you that far... I guess its a good thing to think like that. As for my confidence.. I don't know, I just wanted to prove I wasn't useless back then so.. Im not sure if I can call that confidence.. Though my goals are to know my origins and how I can use my powers properly." She then looked at him with a curious look. "What are your goals Yoichi?."

Roman understood what Masahi was telling him all too well. One of the many reasons he didn't want to have the conversation anymore. Back then he was that way, but now he was more concerned about the wellbeing of those around him, and that's what mattered. Being so introverted and serious back then. Back when Masahi died in front of him, to save his life. Then, witnessing the death of another dear friend at his own hands. He was right. The boy hadn't experienced what the two of them have, and if he was catching up to Roman, then he was doing something wrong. Maybe it was time Roman started going out more, and returning to his old training ways.

"A slacker? I guess you aren't wrong. For awhile now, I've had people doing things for me. Hell, even fighting my battles. Guess it's time I go back out and do things myself or at least help. I'm too young to fall behind, and I guess I do sound like some geezer. Taking down CROSS will be my icebreaker back into my old life... Before all the leadership and stuff."

Roman replied, before being moved to a new area. Seems Masahi had taken them to the building that he had pointed at. Good. Roman knelt down and scanned the area, looking around to see if there was any suspicious activity going on around the area. Luckily, seemed like nothing was happening. When Masahi began to speak, Roman turned and looked at him. Nodding as he said he'd get the information from him a different time.

"Alright, I can respect that. I'll be keeping my eyes open, making sure if anything happens around here, we know the moment it does. I'd make contacting you first priority so we can take care of the situation as quickly as possible." He said, as he stood up and dusted off his vest. "I hate to hear you say that, Masahi. Anyways, what else is there you need?"
Masahi could help but internally sigh at Roman's statement. An icebreaker? It should barely be a warmup if he had been keeping pace. Never trade off skills, simply become better, that's the only way to make sure you don't fall, that you don't fail. Masahi's own 'death' and Kaori's lifelessness had been enough to carve that into him, looking at his face one might think it was more literal, however. But they traded paths in a sense, where before Masahi had let anyone in he could, now he was almost like the old Roman, closing himself to others with few exceptions, mainly being business.

"You know, Roman, my impression of a leader is he who leads the charge. The person at the desk solely giving work to others is a boss. Don't go back, but don't stay as is either. Find a middle ground to inspire from, then you'll be a fine leader and a fighter once more. Trust me, I've seen enough to spot these things."

Masahi explained his view of Roman's statement, or rather his self-rally. After that Masahi gazed Roman before bringing forth a notepad and a pen from within Kamui's dimension in order to write several things before tearing out a piece of paper and handing it to Roman with a wryly smile.

"It'll be a bit hard to let me know anything without a manner as to get ahold of me, wouldn't it? I don't keep a phone, nor do I take calls, but you can come to the building listed here and request to either see or leave a message for me. You're to refer to me by the code name 'Chrysanthemum' when doing so. Otherwise, I'll drop by every four to five days." Masahi reported as he raised an eyebrow. "It's just the result of mostly uncontrollable factors, I had my one chance and blew it. As for anything I need, it can wait."

Akane smiled and nodded as she took note of what Makoto was telling her. "Alright. Well, lets hurry and get the little fella in the guest room so I can make your dinner." She said, smiling as she made her way pass Makoto and down the hall. They passed quite a few doors, until Akane came to a stop. She then unlocked and opened the door, revealing the room to Makoto. Just like Akane's room it was a pretty decent size. Like a small apartment with a nice view of the garden. The tree being one of the main things visible. "Head on in. Get yourself and the wolf situated, and we'll head straight to the kitchen."
Makoto nodded before heading in. She took out the bowls from the bags and set it down against the wall. She then opened one of the dog food bags and poured it into the bowl. Since it was a pretty big bag, she didn't pour it all obviously. She only poured enough to where it filled the bowl. She then set the bag down and got the other bowl and headed to the sink and filled it with water. Once she done that, she set it next to the bowl of food and put the wolf down near the food. It walked towards it and began eating. Makoto watched the dog eat, smiling before she looked at Akane. "Alright, I guess that's that." She said before she started to head out of the room, waiting for Akane to lead her towards the kitchen.

Yoichi nodded as he listened to what Nyn had to say. He agreed that maybe he was a bit of an asshole earlier, but like she said, if it weren't for his attitude, they wouldn't be here where they are... And in a sense, he did feel like he owed her, but at the same time, he found interest in her. "Maybe I do owe you, but even if I don't, wouldn't make much of a difference since I'm actually enjoying my time with you." He told her, before furrowing his brow. Yeah, for once he enjoyed the company of someone, in some way he felt that having friends wasn't as bad as he thought... That was if they were friends. When confidence was brought up, he raised his brow and nodded, "It helps. Being able to believe in your own skill, and if it worth anything, you aren't useless. I imagine one day you'd be able to lift things even heavier than that without fainting or even being exhausted. Maybe we could even help one another in training." Yoichi said in response, a smirk on his face. It was the closest he's been to a smile this entire time. "And if you ever need any help finding out, I would be willing to help. I have a lot of free time on my hands when I'm not training... My goals... Well they may contradict me, at least what you see. I may not act like it, but I want to be a hero. The best one at that. Change all of those nasty perceptions the humans have on us supers and show them that there are supers out there who actually care about them... You know what I mean?"

"You´re.. enjoying your time with... me?" She paused for a few seconds, she never imagined to hear such words from someone ever. It made her feel weird in a good way, she couldn´t describe it, but it was sure she never felt like that before. " I-I see.. I do enjoy spending time with you aswell." She finally responded, while still beign somewhat shocked, she listened to his words patiently. Once he started talking about her not beign useless and training together someday she got back into her thoughs once again, warmth soon won her over and her cheeks turned slightly red, which was easy to spot since she was quite pale. " Y-Yeah.. maybe one day I might be better...I´d slow you down now but.. I would like training with you. What you said means alot to me. " As they kept walking, she started to calm down and her cheeks went back to normal. Once Yoichi offered his help, she looked at him back with a smirk aswell, " Sure, you´ll be the first I will ask to." She paid attention to him talking about his wish of beign a hero, she respected his goals and somehow knew a rough idea of what a hero is. " Oh.. heroes are people with superpowers who save others right? If thats what you want to be, with you beign confident and all, Its for sure you will make a big difference.. You´d be a pretty good hero, and Im sure of it because... you saved me Yoichi."

I feel like if it were anyone else, I'd be gone already. But I guess today I was feeling a bit more generous than usual, and well here I am... Talking to someone not boring for once." He explained to Nyn. Maybe at first, watching her 'struggle' in the training room was a bit pathetic, but she proved him wrong in the end. Proved to him that she wasn't as weak as he thought she was. "Hmph, I'm surprised to hear you say that. I wasn't all that nice to ya at first after all." He added, though he didn't see her blush or anything, because at that point he had turned his head to face in front of himself again. "Thinking you'd slow me down is a thought you shouldn't have, but if that's how you feel, then make sure you get stronger. Whenever you want, just let me know and we can get a session or two in." Yoichi's smirk remained as he looked at Nyn once more, taking note of her own smirk. "It'll be an interesting adventure then... and I saved you? How so?"

"Yeah, you´re right about that.. We got to know quite alot about us in this short time. I didn´t know I was that different to not make you leave though, I assume not beign boring is good since you are still talking to me.. though I don´t know what makes me not boring." Now that she thinks about it was quite surprising how much time has passed since that moment at the gym, time flew like nothing and she wondered why. " Hmm..while it is true that you weren´t so nice back then.. You sticked along and helped me out, like not making fun of me because of my lack of knowledge... you also teached me to not let scary things stop me from keep on going and such. I don´t really care how mean you were before, in my opinion what matters is how much you have helped me and how you are talking to me now.. So thats that." Her energy was almost full at the moment, she was still wishing to try the burgers though. " Don`t worry, I will do my best to get stronger.. and I think having sessions will be quite interesting" She took notice of his worrying when he said she shouldn´t think like that which made her smirk once again, she was starting to get used to smirking at this point. " I agree it will... and as for the saving...you saved me from the guilt, my past and my fears. If you wouldn´t have kept talking with me I probably wouldn´t be the same as I am now.. that counts as saving someone atleast for me."

Ansom sighed as he moved through the crowds of people. He carried a small bag of items on his wrist, swinging it casually as he walked. His face showed his annoyance at the crowd of people and he debated with himself on whether or not he should just obliterate the crowd of people around him. Unfortunately, it would probably cause a lot of attention and it would go against his plan of fitting in. "Damn humans." He mumbled, getting a few stares from people.

-------Diana Young-------

Diana nodded lightly before letting out a short sigh, putting her arm onto her wound as she made her way over to the couch where she expected her arm to be, as it was the last place she took it out from. Finding it after a short look she quickly grabbed it and gave it a look that could only be described as hatred for the item in her hand, sure it was her arm and allowed her to even have a second arm, but the pure reason she had it was another story.

She once again made her way over to Elliot smiling lightly to him before turning sideways, "Hey Elliot? Would you mind if I contacted someone? Just a friend is all, she might be worried about this arm of mine. She's sort of a techie freak..." She said giving a short laugh before looking back at the arm, letting out a heated breathe before holding it to Elliot, "Uhm... Mind putting it in?" She said a slight blush on her cheeks.
Elliot had stepped away from the games shelf when Diana had approached him, offering a smile and a nod when she asked for help with her arm. Though he himself was an easily embarrassed person, he wasn't sure why Diana still seemed sort of shy about him helping with it. After all, he had helped her with it loads of times now with how often she popped the thing off when she wanted to relax.

He took the metal arm from her and glanced over it. With the amount of tinkering he did in his ridiculous amount of spare time, he could probably fiddle with this himself if she needed him to...but, it made sense for her to get her friend to do it if she normally handled it since she'd be less likely to screw it up.

"No, I don't mind. Of course you can contact her, go ahead" he answered, popping in the arm at the same time he spoke. He knew it hurt for a moment so he tried to speak as a distraction. "There! All done"

Neo was just walking by as she noticed some of the people giving a certain someone some stares. She traced their stares back to a familiar old man she hadn't seen in a long time. Ansom. She looked at the others before she shrugged and walked over to Ansom and tapped his shoulder from behind. "You know, I feel like it's a better idea to keep moving along. Don't you think so?" She spoke softly, containing traces of her previous throat injury which made her lose her voice for a few weeks. She was getting better, but it was rather interesting being a mute. That being said, she looked towards the people and used some of her magic to give her look almost a menacing stare back, making the people who were still staring at Ansom a bad feeling. Neo only looked at them with a interested look, but her eyes gave off a spell which whoever her eyes were focused on, they would feel like they were about to be killed. (Dammit, why does RPN not have the color pink?)

Ansom whirled around when he felt contact on his shoulder. "Wha-" He stopped when he saw the girl standing before him, seemingly making everyone around them wary and ill-feeling. He tilted his head slightly and glanced at each individual. It definitely wasn't natural and it definitely wasn't his own magic. He had made sure to learn how to contain his ambient magic so there was no way he caused the feelings to wash over the crowd. He turned back towards the girl and silently examined the girl. She seemed so familiar, almost like Ansom should've known her. "And you are?" Hr questioned, crossing his arms across his chest, his deep purple eyes unblinking.

Ansom whirled around when he felt contact on his shoulder. "Wha-" He stopped when he saw the girl standing before him, seemingly making everyone around them wary and ill-feeling. Neo giggled, looking back to Ansom, dismissing her magic from her eyes as to not affect Ansom too. "It's me Neo. Mitsu's girlfriend. Jeez, I can't believe you've forgotten me. You really are an old man." She said before a familiar girl with white hair tapped the back of Neo's head with a knuckle and spoke. "Neo, he's my old man. Okay? Only I get to talk about his age." "Yeah yeah, I get it Yuki. You don't have to push it." Neo said as Yuki sighed. She looked up at Ansom and smiled at him. "It's been awhile, Dad. Hopefully, you didn't forget me as well."

Ansom nodded when the girl spoke about her identity. "Ah yes. I remember now. Yes, I'm sorry." He chuckled slightly and rubbed the back of his head. "I've...er...had a lot on my mind lately." He spoke with a small smile just as another familiar figure came up behind Neo. His smile widened and he laughed a bit. "Oh, trust me, Yuki. You're one of the few people I CAN actually remember." He said, not elaborating on if that was a good or a bad thing. He then stuck his hand out for a handshake. He didn't want to be too familiar with Yuki as he didn't know where they stood in their relationship. "It's good to see you, daughter."

Yuki reached out her hand and grabbed Ansom's and shook it. "It's nice to see you too. How's your life been? I'm sure you've been keeping yourself busy if you have a lot on your mind lately." She said softly as Neo just stood and watched. She also looked around for any stares in which, Neo would shoo them off with her gaze, making them have an ill-feeling and walking away. It was hot so Neo was wearing a shirt and shorts. She was also wearing heels, the same as Yuki. However, Yuki was wearing a black and white checkered dress that went down bellow her knees. The dress had short sleeves but a hole to reveal Yuki's shoulders and it seemed to emphasize her slim shaped body. Her hair was let down while Neo's had hers tied up into a pony tail. Neo was also carrying some shopping bags, so it was clear that they had been to the mall recently.

Roman nodded, agreeing with what Masahi was saying to him, but in a way he was wrong. Roman was busy almost 24/7 now. He had spent time on missions and such during his time as the family head, but lately nothing has been as much of a threat to him or his family. In other words, there has been no need for his skills on the battlefield, so he turned his attention to the desk work.

"You're right, but I'm not gonna place myself where I'm not exactly needed. Someone has to maintain things back at the fort, and that's what I've been doing. With my position, I've been completely booked and haven't had the time, and my second-in-command is just as booked as I am. I can't say I'm any weaker than I was, but maybe a bit rusty... And for someone like me, it won't take much to get rid of the rust. We grew up fighting, Masahi. It's something that's in our blood. In a way, it's something we were meant to do, which is why I agree with you."

Taking into account what Masahi said earlier, he had only just now thought about it. Taking the piece of paper that was handed to him, he opened his vest pocket up, and slid the paper into it before closing it. With a sigh, Roman looked up to the sky before looking at Masahi once again. He soon spoke, voicing his opinion about a normal life, and Masahi.

"Alright, but before I go... I just wanted to let you know that a normal life isn't out of reach for you. With the way we grew up, if I were able to get one, then you should be just as capable of attaining one too. You're still my friend, even after all that happened before. So... If you ever need any help, I'm willing to lend you all that I can. Just ask, and without a doubt, you'd have my assistance."

With a smile on his face, Roman turned around, not facing Masahi anymore. He then walked over to the ledge of the building, looking down to see if he saw anyone before he made his departure.

Yuki reached out her hand and grabbed Ansom's and shook it. "It's nice to see you too. How's your life been? I'm sure you've been keeping yourself busy if you have a lot on your mind lately." Ansom nodded to Yuki's assumption. "Indeed. Being the Anti-God requires plenty of time and effort. Even more so when said Anti-God attempts to ignore his inevitable duty." He chuckled and brought his hand up to his chin, scratching the light stubble he allowed to grow. He was dressed in a full black suit, despite the warmer temperatures. He wore a purple tie that matched his eyes very well. His small bag latched around his wrist pointed towards recent shopping or perhaps a pickup of sorts due to the nature of the bag being unmarked. "Anyway. My work isn't important. How have you been?"

"There! All done"
-------Diana Young-------

Diana hissed slightly when she felt the same strong sting of pain of her arm connecting up, a hot sigh escaping her mouth as she moved her normal arm up to her metallic one as she moved it around, opening and closing the hand. A look of anger covering her face as she looked at it before it faded quickly, a bit of a forced smile replacing it as she looked at Elliot.

"Uhm... So... You wouldn't happen to have a phone would you?" She said awkwardly as she let out a short laugh before giving a short sigh.

"Good. Neo and I went shopping earlier at the mall today. I wanted to bring Mitsu, but she's with Shira and our son for Mother's Day. I believe they went to the park?" Yuki explained as she ran her hand around Ansom's. She sort of wanted to start a new relationship with him, hopefully a better one. She realized that she should learn to forgive him, she couldn't hate her father forever. That and she was at least happy she had one who was still alive, unlike Neo and her sister, Himeragi. Well, they both killed their dad but Yuki couldn't bare the thought of killing the person who gave her life. Neo looked at Yuki and Ansom and spoke, making her leave to check out a boboa shop that was near them. "It looks like you two need some time to catch up. I'll go hang out at that boboa shop over there. I heard the drinks are really good." Neo then left, leaving Yuki and Ansom alone together. Yuki watched her go until she disappeared into the shop. She then looked back up at Ansom and looked at his hand. "But seriously, a hand shake...? We're father and daughter, not old business people..." Yuki mumbled, her tone making her sound insulted but was also joking as well. She was also loud enough so Ansom could at least hear it and make him feel embarrassed. She wanted to see her Dad actually blush.

"That was today, wasn't it?" Ansom said in response to Shira and Mitsu's whereabouts. He sighed a bit and shook his head. He always forgot mortal holidays, including birthdays and other bigger days. It wasn't a surprise for Ansom to have forgotten Mother's Day in particular. After all, he didn't have a mom...or brother...or any type of generational kin at all. He noticed as Yuki played around with his hand so he slowly retracted it, placing it into his pocket with his thumb still sticking out. He turned towards Neo when she spoke as he had momentarily forgotten her presence. He tended to do thay, no matter the person. His focus had been all out of sync for the past few months and he struggled to reclaim it. He did nod as Neo began to walk away. "Alright. Thanks for taking care of the crowdly stares." He chuckled and waved before turning back to his daughter. When she began to mumble, he craned his neck a bit in order to actually hear the girl. When she was finished speaking, he chuckled slightly, believing very well the spiel was a joke. "Last time I checked, you weren't very fond of me." Ansom said in between his chuckles. "I figured we weren't on hugging and kissing on the cheek terms."
