Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

"Ah, sure." She said before she stepped back a little bit before letting out a breath. She then brought her arms in an X formation before bringing them up and then down, summoning two large rocket launchers that seemed self-made. It was easy to tell from the looks of it, it was pretty darn heavy. It had a bulky build. It can probably even be used as a shield or used to parry attacks like a sword would. It had a belt of rockets wrapped around the gun already. She then let go of one of them and swung the other to her other hand so she was carrying it using two hands, like she would with a rifle. But even then, it was heavy. "This is a new hand cannon I made. It has the ultimate piercing firepower along with the explosives of gunpowder and speed of an electric current. I do have laser rail guns, but sometimes I also want a bit of an explosive impact. So, I made this. Loading modified explosive rounds that can penetrate right through a few tanks. Yes, I kind of did have to travel somewhere to find some wreckage and line them up to test the rounds. I could also just use a single hand cannon, but it just doesn't feel right. This is actually a smaller version of the big gun I'm making right now. Though, I would have to travel to a very isolated area because it's... Very destructive. Possibly more than overkill."

Akane watched Makoto, a look of pure joy and amazement on her face. Sure she may be able to do this, herself, but watching someone else do it was much better. Besides, it'd help Akane with teaching this girl. When the 'hand cannons' were brought out, Akane's face didn't change in the slightest. She had almost a glimmer i her eye at this point. Those things could be used for so much, and Akane was here to help Makoto figure it out. She wanted to test the firepower out on them, only because of what she was told. The things looked as if they would be able to level an entire house or a small builiding... The ones she showed at least. Finally snapping back to reality, after some much needed inspection on the guns and Makoto herself, Akane stopped in front of her and nodded. "One more training exercise. We fight and whoever ends up on the ground first is the loser. It may sound simple, but it'd help with reflexes and speed. Something you'll need when toting giant behemoths like that." She said, pointing at the guns.

As Masahi looked around the entrance of the school it occurred him that he had never actually had a reason to be at or near a school in the past decade or so. Which would seem odd given he was in his early twenties, but things didn't turn out as planned. Really, nothing did, but that was the past and he had to focus on making a better future now that he couldn't fulfill his ambition. In all actuality, he had been ready to use Kamui to phase through the gate, but Roman had someone else open it. After that, he followed a few steps behind Roman.

"While I respect your decisions, I must ask you, Roman, what good are pieces that you can't move? I understand better than anyone that it can be bad to have ties with myself, but if you don't let those able to move do so, you're only making harder on them when they have no other choice but to do so."

Masahi spoke with his emotions on the back burner, letting his logic talk. While Roman was smiles, Masahi had frowned. You could have all the power in the world, but experience was the true gold standard when it came to these things. Without it, anyone could fail, no matter how promising. He could help but sigh.

"Roman, I don't, no, I can't understand that. We're in our twenties and how your kids have rapidly grown is beyond me. More so how they're somehow more capable than you, if that's the case, then you've weakened. Maybe it's because you've had your clan: your family, and your friends that you can feel that achievement, but I've been on my own, nobody I could trust, and I did try. I was simply stuck in a world of predators, where it was eat or be eaten."

He'd huff at Roman's ramblings, but Masahi just assumed he was nostalgic for the school.

"It's fine, I guess. Just... just don't forget we've seen this world in different ways since back then. As for where to go, where do you think they could easily set up base?"
As the two walked through the gate, Roman took note of what Masahi was saying, and his smile slowly faded under his mask. He sighed, shaking his head. While Masahi was right, he was also wrong. It may have been true that he could use his families abilities to his advantage, but putting them into an operation that no one even knows about... That's not safe. Roman soon responded to what Masahi had to say about having the necessary pawns, but not using them.

"Because, this isn't chess. Family aren't the pawns. Besides, you came to me, not us as a whole. And on top of that, we're enough. More than enough. You could handle this entire operation on your own. So could I, but here we are... working together. If they were needed, we wouldn't be here on our own. Maybe in the future I'd send them out to test their abilities and see them for myself but right now they have their own things of importance to focus on."

Roman then went silent as he listened to the next thing Masahi had to say. Unfortunately, Roman never grew weaker. His son simply had the potential to pass him up in strength, but never experience. Everything was handed to the kid on the platter. Whether it be his life, his fortune, or his gift of power. None of that would amount him up to what his father was and still is.

"It's beyond me how they grew up so quickly too, Masahi. And the boy, he doesn't even know his own strength yet. He'll figure it out one day, but that wouldn't make him more capable or as capable as I am. He'd be strong, but experience is what makes the man. The fighter. You know this just as well as I do, besides when I said 'by our own' I didn't mean us. People like you, me, and Kaori... These kids haven't been through the emotional trauma we've been through. The pain and suffering. The closest they could get is if their girlfriend or boyfriend broke up with them. They don't have the resolve needed to surpass us. People like us led them into this age of peace."

With that, Roman said no more about the topic and moved on. He set his mind strictly on the mission given to him. When he was asked where CROSS could possibly have set up a base for themselves, he shrugged. The layout of the school wasn't the same in his opinion. Some places seemed a bit different, along with the fact that are multiple building on the campus. The place was almost like a city in itself.

"They take supers don't they? It'd have to be somewhere on campus where they could do their experiments. They'd need the equipment. I say we check the science and research area. It's a good start seeing how are enemy likes to play biologists."

"Eh? O-Okay. I'll have to use different hand cannons though. Lighter ones." She said before she made her current hand cannons disappear and brought out lighter ones. The design was a little meh. It looked like the only purpose was just to blast things but it's what she could hold. "Where should we fight?" She asked hoping it wasn't here because she wouldn't want to level her own training room if it ever came to that. However she swore she saw a weird expression coming from Akane. It seemed like she really enjoyed to craft stuff too.

As far as Kansuke knew, he was always on his own. It wasn't that he didn't have people in his life or people he could call his friends, but he always seemed to grow up without a family. Though, he wasn't actually aware of this similarity between his lives. In one lifetime, he was raised by the Great Deku Tree. Another he was raised by an uncle, who sadly was struck down in the dark dungeons of the castle at the time. There was one life that he had a sister and grandmother, though he didn't really get to spend much time with them as his sister had gotten kidnapped, which set him off on his adventure. But once again, in this lifetime he didn't really have any family. He managed to make a home for himself in a local village, as he had multiple times before, really only travelling to FHS because he needed something a bit more stimulating to do with his life. He didn't like to just sit around, he would get a bit stir crazy if he didn't have anything to do. So it was actually kind of nice to be travelling home, even though it was going to be dangerous, at least it was for a purpose. They were travelling to go do something. Something really important. Kansuke did notice Mizuki glance back at the school, almost looking like she wasn't sure if she'd see it again. He didn't say anything about it, or anything else for the first part of their journey together. The pair walked in a sort of content silence, just enjoying the walk. The silence was eventually broken by Mizuki asking why he had travelled by himself to FHS and leaving home. He looked over at her with a sort of surprised expression, not expecting for her to ask that question. She seemed to feel like she was prying into his personal life, and he smiled and shook his head. "It's fine, you're not prying. It's not a bad idea to try and get to know each other." He chuckled a bit before placing his hands behind his head in a relaxed stance, looking forward wistfully as they walked. "I suppose I felt like I.. needed something to do?" He chuckled again at the strangeness of the answer. "It was like I wasn't really... needed at home, I guess. Like everything in Hyrule was fine, and our home didn't really need me? That sounds really weird to say it out loud..." He brought his hands down, crossing his arms in front of him in thought, trying to find the right words to say. "I made a home for myself in a nice village to the east of Castle Town, I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about, but I felt kind of stagnant. I heard of a school pretty far away that was meant for people around my age with 'abilities' or something, so I figured it was as good idea as any to go and check it out and attend. Though, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to leave after all..." His expression darkened, his eyes narrowing for a moment. But the moment soon passed, and he looked over at Mizuki with a new smile. "What about you? You're the princess, right? I wouldn't think leaving home to attend a foreign school was something you'd just be allowed to do." Kansuke was genuinely curious about how his homeland's (supposed) princess managed to end up going to the same school as him. Also, if the two were going to save their home, he did want to get to know her better.
Mizuki gave a relieved smile when he said that her questions were fine, being a princess did mean making sure her manners were in check. "Well, yes. That is what I thought, which is why I asked" she said looking over at him. She listened to his answer, tilting her head slightly as he talked about feeling he wasn't needed, a pretty sad answer if she were honest but also a strange one, like he knew what his job was supposed to be without actually knowing. When he mentioned where he lived she nodded. Ah, yes. She knew where he was talking about. "Yes, I've been there before" She had only visited it once with her father, but she was young at the time, about 7 or 8 at most. Mizuki rarely left the confines of the castle, never mind leaving castle town itself to go elsewhere. But, she did have a rough idea about the surrounding towns in her homeland from listening to her father's meetings and from her odd memories. She blinked when he asked about herself before smiling at him "Oh, of course. That sounds a bit odd that I'm here, I'm not normally allowed to leave home." She admitted with a nod and a slight laugh "It took some convincing on my part and my father's advisor..." She started as she clasped her hands together "I told my father of my visions...he laughed and told me I had an overactive imagination and that I was spending too much time looking at wise-tales about our home" she said with a shrug of her shoulders "Things in the kingdom we're going more than well at the time, so I can see why he would say that... My father's advisor believed me however. She took me to one side and we talked about what could be done. She convinced my father to send me to the place I had mentioned, telling him if I went and didn't find what I was looking for it would put these "notions" out of my head and that a taste of the world outside of the castle may be beneficial" she let a small sigh "That's who I'll be needing to talk with as soon as I get home." she nodded. "If home is still okay when we get there...I cannot shake this awful feeling I'm having about it" she added with a slight frown.

"God of Chaos... Hm... Ansom. A father of my friend. He is a good guy but since my friend had issues with him, she gave me a negative impression about him. But it's probably because of family issues. I don't think there's anything to worry about if it's your sister." She said before she sat up slowly. She then realized she hasn't talked to her friend in a long time. The friend she was talking about was named Yuki. "I haven't talked to her in awhile now that I realize it."
Elliot looked straight at her again as she answered, blinking a few times. "You think so?...Hearing someone else tell me that certainly is more settling. Elaena seems to see the tiniest bit of good in people, so in her opinion, most people are good people, it is why she trusts people so easily and it worries me a lot of the time." He said with a gentle sigh as Seria sat up again. "Because of your memories? or because you are busy. I'm sure you'll get a chance to catch up with your friend soon" he said with a slight smile.

Ansom watched as Elaena strained the noodles. When she was finished, he grabbed the colander filled with them and poured the noodles back into the pot, now free from the water. He reached to a top cabinet and pulled down two ceramic plates. He used a large spoon to scoop out noodles and put a scoopful on each plate. He then used a ladle to pour sauce over the noodles before placing a breaded chicken breast on each plate and adding more sauce. Ansom walked over to the refrigerator and opened it, pulling out a container of parmesan cheese. He sprinkled the white cheese over each plate and then returned the container to the fridge. "There we go." He gave a small smile to the girl next to him and then handed her a plate. "Try it and tell me what you think. Don't be afraid to be brutally honest with me." He laughed and stuck out his tongue.
Elaena took the plate from him when he handed it to her, smiling back at him, giggling a little when he stuck his tongue out at her "Don't worry, I won't, you can't learn without constructive criticism after all. I am confident that you won't break your no destruction streak if I make a comment" she joked. Sniffing the food first she went ahead and tried a bit. After trying a piece she furrowed her brows and hummed "Hmm....something is..." she immediately paused and smiled brightly at him "I'm kidding. This tastes really good actually. Seems you can cook the human way just fine¬" she said with a nod.

"Well no, it's because she's usually busy. Especially when she has a family and all. She's actually kind of young to have one but, I'm not gonna criticize her. She seems to be doing good with her wife." She stated assuming if Yuki wasn't talking to her much, it would mean she doesn't need help raising raising three children. She also just realized what she said. Implying that her friend was a female since she said she, would Elliot understand the wife part?

Elliot listened to her explanation, nodding when she was finished. He didn't seem to have much of a reaction to her female friend having a wife, obviously understanding the wife part just fine. He didn't think it was an out of the ordinary thing in this day and age after all. "Even if she is busy with her kids I'm sure she'd be happy to have her friend pop in and visit from time to time. Having a wife and family doesn't really mean you can't see your friends anymore does it?" He answered with a shrug, he wasn't sure what counted as "young" for Seria, since she has lived a very long time, but he assumed young to be around his own age maybe a year or two older. Either way he felt his answer still made some sense.

((No worries, its understandable!))

Lyanna Phoseroth

It had been many years since Lyanna Phoseroth had seen her daughter. Though she had made the choice to temporarily place Luminaire in the care of another, she had still not forgotten. She longed that her daughter might be cured of whatever seemed to be plauging her, not for just the family's sake and their species, but for Luminaire's sake as well. How many times did they have to kill her, for everyone's protection? She remembered the times when Luminaire was a more docile version of herself, stuffed in that dark ice prison, just pleading to be let out, that she wouldn't hurt anyone. The poor girl had been through so much. They were horrible memories, ones that Lyanna hoped would never have to happen again. But, at this point, so many years had passed since Luminaire was given to the "white-haired fae" that she was honestly starting to believe that her daughter might never come home. Lyanna was born into royalty, so she was taught from a young age how to maintain a composed exterior, but these last few years were getting far more difficult to keep up the charade. The hopelessness over Luminaire's disappearance was starting to wear her thin, the unrest among the Phoenixes was growing, and Caelum's attitude was getting tenser and tenser by the day. It honestly felt like there was going to be some kind of coup or uprising soon if things didn't change. For now, Lyanna had set about writing in her journal, to rid her head of the dark thoughts that seemed to plague it as of recently. She set down her pen, reading over the words written in the now-drying ink on the page. Most of her thoughts seemed to contain her daughter, and a few about her adopted son, Luxe, who had most recently left for some school a little bit away. She wasn't exactly filled in on the details why, all that Caelum had told her was that it was for something important. Either way, Lyanna couldn't help but sigh reading over her words. Wasn't there any recent good news?

Setting the journal aside, Lyanna decided that she was going to talk a walk to clear her head. She enjoyed going on walks, either alone or with her husband, though getting Caelum to join her was a near-impossible feat lately. It seemed like he always had something to do. As disappointing as it was that she couldn't spend as much time with her husband as she wanted, it was understandable. It was a part of the deal, marrying the to-be king of the Phoenixes. But she did love her husband, so it was a cross she was willing to bear. Standing up, Lyanna smoothed her clothes before exiting her study and heading down the hallway. The halls were usually fairly quiet, which didn't bother the phoenix all that much. Too much excitement was kind of exhausting, so she didn't mind it. Though, it seemed like there was a bit more hustle and bustle than normal, down the hall in the opposite direction that she was heading. Curious, Lyanna changed her course and headed to where she was hearing things happening, to see a servant running down the hall, toward a wing of the house wasn't used for anything but being cleaned nowadays, toward where more sound was coming from. Lyanna's eyes widened in realization at what that could potentially mean, but she didn't want to get her hopes up just yet. Just to be sure, she began to head towards Caelum's study to see if he was there, to figure out what was happening around here.

Lumina

Lumina was kind of in a dreamless state. Unconscious, her body wasn't moving, but her mind seemed to also have stopped moving. After all the fractured memories decided to flood her mind all at once, they finally stopped, giving the poor girl some relief. She had always been on the frail side, even with the strength training had had gone through. With the relief came some alleviation of her symptoms, and the sweat that had formed on her brow from the exertion on her body had stopped, so her unconscious body seemed to visibly relax, which did catch the eye of one of the servants, who exhaled a sigh of relief. It didn't take long for the servants to reach Lumina's room, which despite not having been used in quite a number of years was still kept in pristine condition. Lyanna's orders, of course, on the off chance her daughter would ever return home. The servants placed her gently on the bed, backing up slowly just out of sheer wariness. They had heard that the King had a daughter, but had never actually seen her. "Luminaire" was almost a rumor at this point, words passed between the lips of phoenixes, and this rumor was what was causing some problems in the nobles, so the servants weren't exactly sure of what to do at the moment now that they had did what their King had asked. As they were deliberating, the servant that Caelum had sent to check on her had arrived, and informed the first set of servants that she was here to keep an eye on her. With that, the first servants exited almost too quickly, eager to leave and go back to doing anything else.

Lumina wasn't out for very much longer. Since the memories stopped, her body was recovering just fine, so it wouldn't take much for her to wake up. Eventually, Lumina's eyes slowly opened, her vision clearing to see a ceiling that she definitely did not recognize. Sitting up slowly, Lumina looked around to see a room that she did not recognize, and another phoenix sitting in a chair beside the bed. Lumina blinked at the sight, not used to seeing other phoenixes around. "W-where am I?" she asked, tentatively, scared to be waking up in a bed someplace that she didn't recognize. Well, now that she thought about it, it did look a little familiar. Like she had definitely seen this place before, or had been here before. She rubbed her head, the dejavu of the appearing memory giving her a headache. She couldn't sense Kenji anywhere nearby, which only added to her fear of this situation, but she could sense three other energies nearby that did seem to feel familiar, though she couldn't place why that was.

...⚶Caelum continued to walk through the halls, servants rushing past him back and forth carrying supplies to Lumina's room. In a way, he couldn't believe that she was back. It had been centuries since he'd last seen his daughter, and the white haired fae Ayen hadn't gotten in contact with him since he passed his daughter off, so he could only assume she was either dead or still broken. With that in mind, he had to keep staying off the other Phoenix nobles, who had recently begun asking questions about his daughter. This was due to a once held promise of wedlock between the royal house and another noble house, in order to preserve both houses noble genes. With her disappearance, and him covering it up, it wouldn't look good for Caelum if he came clean, and it would most certainly result in a war breaking out, so he kept up the act, telling the noble that she was either out or sick whenever they came around. A convenient yet temporary excuse. Despite his happiness of his child finally returning, he couldn't shake an overwhelming sense of heat and anger emitting from somewhere, and an impending sense of doom surrounding the home. He figured that it was because of the nobles, so he would be able to reveal Luminaire to her soon-to-be husband, and that would settle the doubts they had regarding her. Still, when Luminaire arrived, he was able to see an unusual heat signature on and around her body, one he was unfamiliar with. It didn't seem Phoenix in origin, nor did it feel like a God's. It seemed stronger, older. The heat didn't take on the appearance of heat waves that it usually took, it looked like a roaring red inferno, and if he hadn't seen Lux carrying Luminaire, he would've came to the conclusion that it would incinerate him upon contact. Thankfully that wasn't the case, and Luminaire was being tended to in her room. He couldn't help but think of where Luminaire was during all these centuries. He had seen that heat once before, back in Rome after Luminaire returned from the markets. He could only think of who she had been with that could emit such an intense heat signature, and how terrifying a being it was. He needed to go to his study to look at all of the old scrolls and books, perhaps he'd find some information there. Reaching his study doors, he pushed the large steel handle and walked inside, lighting the large candles that decorated the interior with his fire. He scanned the bookshelves and took the oldest books and scrolls from each isle and sat them onto his desk. Sitting down on his chair, he spoke as he opened the first scroll⚶...

Let's see if there's any information on that heat..

Elliot listened to her explanation, nodding when she was finished. He didn't seem to have much of a reaction to her female friend having a wife, obviously understanding the wife part just fine. Either way he felt his answer still made some sense.
"Well, yeah but because of how she is, being an Administrator of Time and Space, it's pretty busy. Plus I doubt she'd even recognize me now." She said with a giggle before laying back down, her head on Elliot's lap. "I wonder how many would recognize me right now...?"

CELAENA

Celaena still wasn't used to this world, so even though she ran to the impact site of the crater, she still made sure to keep at least an arm's length away from what was happening. She didn't know what Earth was like, having only been familiar with Fae, so she wasn't sure if this was a normal thing that happened or not. Looking at his worn condition, she guessed that wasn't the case, but she couldn't be too sure. Maybe once they got him to a safer place she could be of more assistance but for now... she was going to let Ayen handle this one. Obviously he seemed to have grown stronger since the last time she saw him, considering how easily he was able to just pick this guy up and hoist him over his shoulder. It was kind of nice to see even a smidge of Ayen's growth, though she couldn't help but compare it to her own lack of it. It wasn't her fault, of course, but it wasn't hard to slip into that line of thinking. Hearing Ayen's request, she nodded in response, making sure to follow close behind. "Right. Maybe at your house I can be of more use." she laughed softly to herself, not entirely sure why it was she was laughing. Did she not believe in her own abilities? She always had a flair for a few healing abilities, so why the self doubt? Questions to be answered later. Celaena walked behind Ayen, making sure not to stray too far. She was still a little out of it from the trip here, so she was a bit afraid she might get lost if she didn't keep up with Ayen. His laugh did take her by surprise, though his words that followed did make sense. She donned a small smile and shrugged a bit, looking off to the side at the trees surrounding them as she expressed her own feelings. "Yes, I do suppose that is true. Though, it is nice to see that there is some familiarity between this place and home. It makes me feel at least a bit more at ease." Her amethyst eyes looked back at Ayen before she continued. "You really did enjoy taking naps in trees, did you not? I remember once finding you asleep and half-hanging off of one, and when I decided to surprise you, you were so surprised that you actually fell off the branches! Your coordination was not always the best back then." Celaena laughed, a small blush of nostalgia reddening her cheeks. It really had been far too long since they were able to talk like this, and it was really quite nice.
Ayen

Ayen had often thought of many things during his time on earth, like chance and odds, very much like the secret to life: DNA. Two parents could have children dozens or even hundreds of times and have no two that would look the same. But at the same time, the same couple could only have four children and have them look the exact same. How did that relate to right now? Well, this was the second time Ayen had encountered someone that was absolutely unreadable to him, and he was walking with the woman he swore his heart to, the woman he thought was gone. Truly, life's odds were truly unpredictable, and he had grown in power and skill for that reason. Yet, that didn't seem to matter now, as he simply walked at a moderate, human, pace as to avoid enraging the wounds on the man he was carrying. What was the term the humans might use for this situation with his powers, a bottleneck? Ah, that's right he had spoken, perhaps he should have focused on that instead of thinking. "Well, we'll see, I'm not sure how long it felt for you, but it's been a long time since you used your powers." Ayen heard her laugh, but decided not to comment on it. Celaena would probably need a long time to recover from her coma-like state, maybe not mentally, but there was sure to be some physical after effects, maybe even supernatural ones too. "As much as things seem like the Fae here, they're not. The trees aren't as alive, the animals not as smart, and the people not as forward. However, I have ways to keep the Fae close." Ayen had a slight smirk as Celaena brought up the past. "Well, I didn't have needs for things like coordination back then, I was just a prince that was born into a good life after all. Nowadays I just do whatever I see that needs doing." Ayen smiled as he adjusted Kenji on his shoulder, making sure his body didn't fall to the ground.

Kansuke did like when Mizuki smiled. Maybe it was because he was internally declaring himself her protector on this journey, even though they were taking the journey together. And being her protector meant making sure she was okay, on every front. So he would do what he could to make sure she was happy. "Don't ever feel bad about asking questions. I'm happy you feel comfortable asking me questions at all." he smiled back at her before looking out at the scenery before him. It really was pretty out here, and reminded him a bit of home, in a way. The view from his house couldn't be beat, in his opinion though, but it was good for what it was. He couldn't help but chuckle in surprise when she said she'd actually visited his hometown. "Hah, really? What would a princess ever visit there for? I mean, we're just a small village, nothing too special." It made him wonder if she really got to travel much of anywhere. His questions seemed to be answered when she admitted she wasn't really allowed to leave home. He frowned at that, looking over at her. That was sad to hear. Especially about how her father didn't believe her about the visions. "Well, thank the gods for your advisor then. Well, if it's any consolation, I'm glad you were able to come here. I'd love to meet that advisor of yours and personally thank her. If you hadn't have been able to come here, I wouldn't be able to help you now. And I will help you." Kansuke nodded, patting Mizuki's shoulder when she frowned about the possible state of their homeland. "I obviously don't have those visions you do, but no matter what we'll take it on together, alright? If there's the two of us, I'm sure we can handle anything that any threat might throw our way. I hope everything is alright too, but if it's not well.. that's why were heading there now, right? To stop it and help bring home back to where they should be." He brought his hand back, refocusing his attention ahead of him. If he thought too much on it, he was bound to get more than rattled about it. And if he was supposed to protect Mizuki, he couldn't afford for that to happen.

...⚶Caelum continued to walk through the halls, servants rushing past him back and forth carrying supplies to Lumina's room.

Lyanna Phoseroth

Lyanna hadn't felt an urgency to move like this in a long time. It was hard to get motivated like this nowadays, what with all the tensions risings between the Phoenix nobles and the depression of her daughter's prolonged absence really taking it's toll. But now... it seemed like there was the possibility that her daughter had actually returned home. The notion seemed improbable, maybe even impossible, but there wouldn't be any reason for there to be such a commotion happening otherwise, right? That wasn't to say that nothing ever happened here, it would be a lie to say otherwise. But not in that part of the home. On her own orders it was to be closed off for public use. She didn't want her daughters room or anything in that part of the house disturbed in the off chance that Luminaire would return home, though she doubted it would ever happen. The Phoenix found herself almost rushing down the hallway toward her husband's study, praying that he would be in there so she could talk to him. She hadn't seen him since breakfast this morning, so she wasn't totally aware of where exactly he was, so if he wasn't in his study she'd have to ask one of the servants about his whereabouts.

With all the tensions that had been rising lately, she didn't get to spend much personal time with Caelum. There was always events to be attended, matters to be taken care of, letters to other phoenixes to be written. He never seemed to be in the mood to do anything but work, so she couldn't help but feel inadvertently distanced from him. Again, she knew what she was marrying into when she completed her vows, but she was a woman after all, and gods forbid she actually spend some personal time with the man she loved. Though, she could say she probably knew him the best of anybody in either of their lives. She understood the way he thought and acted, so she could understand his motivations behind his decisions. And because of this, she had a general idea on where he might be at this time of day, especially in the midst of a possible commotion like what she thought was happening. It wasn't a few minutes later before her hunch about him being in his study was proved correct as evidenced by the steel doors of the entrance standing ajar. As she approached the door she could feel the heat from his own signature and the candles that decorated the interior. She stopped just short of the entrance, almost hesitant to go in. She didn't like to disturb him in his study if she didn't need to, and it wasn't royal-like to just barge into a room all disheveled. Taking a moment to calm herself down, despite how anxious she was growing to be, Lyanna stepped into the room, sighting her husband in the exact spot she would have expected to be. It looked like there was something on his mind, and he had a scroll opened on the desk in front of him that it looked like he was reading. This wasn't exactly a new occurance, to find him in his study reading, but it was WHAT he was reading that caught her attention as well. It was an old scroll, one which seemed to collect dust more often than not from it's lack of use. So for him to be reading something so old had to mean that something was on his mind. Perhaps it had something to do with their daughter.

"Caelum." Lyanna spoke aloud, trying to catch his attention.

Celaena

Truth be told, Celaena hadn't thought about much else other than returning to Ayen. All those years stuck in that crystal, he was on her mind. He was always on her mind, even in her "final moments", or what she expected was supposed to be her final moments. So when she woke up, aside from the confusion of how she was alive, all she cared about was returning to him. Hell, at first she didn't even think about what had happened to their unborn child, which thinking about it was actually kind of a selfish thought. But Alenia was gone, and there was nothing she could do. But Ayen wasn't. Ayen was alive, she could feel it. It was what led her to this world and away from Fae, after all. So her powers really were an afterthought. Her interaction with the man named Ansom showed that her powers did still work in this world, but Ayen was right, it really had been a while since she had purposely used them. If she thought about it, she wasn't exactly sure how long it was since she was sealed in the crystal. It felt like both a moment and an eternity had passed, so she was bound to be a bit rusty. Not once had she thought about the physical strain that was most likely affecting her body at the moment, both from recovering from what was supposed to be certain death and from adjusting to a new world. She brought a hand up to her chin in thought. "You are right... it has been quite a long time. I have not really used them since I woke up in Fae or arrived here on 'Earth', so I am not sure how they or I are affected by such radical changes at the moment." Her own wellbeing was kind of a thought in her mind now, so she'd have to keep an eye on herself for the next while just to make sure she was fine. She did feel drained, but she chalked that up to it being a long day and the fact that the sun had all but set at this point. Some fireflies floating around them, and Celaena couldn't help but outstretch a hand toward them as they walked, prompting one to land on her finger. She stared at it with wonder as it's glow softly pulsed, finding it actually quite soothing. "This is true, " she agreed, watching as the firefly flew off into the darkness of the increasing number of trees around them, "though I would not necessarily say I completely dislike it." Celaena could tell that Ayen was smirking as he spoke about their youth, she could hear it in his voice. A smile of her own formed on her face hearing his answer. "If you say so. You do seem a bit coordinated now though, with the ease and gentleness that you are carrying that strange man with."

...⚶Caelum continued to scan the scrolls, and had soon found himself looking at the tomes of Old fire Gods. Scanning the texts, he took note of the recurring title that was being issued to some sort of being above their station, almost as if it was a lecturer. The same title kept being issued over and over, too much so that it couldn't be a coincidence or randomly assigned word, they were referring to something specifically. His eyes darted between sentences as he searched for more concrete evidence, shortly before he heard his wife talking to him from the study entrance. Without moving his eyes from the scrolls, he spoke to Lyanna, shortly before he began trying to make sense of the scrolls⚶...

Yes, Lyanna? From what I can see, the fire gods referred to something as "Genesis", yet what could that mean? Is it in reference to the bible, or is it some sort of code? Damn those Gods, always so cryptic in their writings. Regardless, this doesn't bode well. To think I hadn't noticed this pattern before now, I'm such a fool. Luminaire wore an engagement ring on her finger, which means she must be engaged to someone. I will have to ask Lux more questions on where he found her, and if she was truly alone, that way I may be able to see the person she was meant to wed. I don't think her fiancé will take well to her disappearance, so I'll have to either reason with them, or send out my guard to dispatch them quietly. This whole situation is problematic..

Lyanna Phoseroth

Just as she predicted, it seemed like there was something on his mind. He didn't even look up when she spoke to him, and once he addressed her had had brought his attention immediately back to the scrolls in front of him. It was a habit of his to get engrossed in something like this, so Lyanna wasn't taken by surprise. Instead, she began to walk over to the window, as if looking to the scenery outside would give any insight as to what was happening around here. As she passed by his desk to the window, she noticed just what scrolls it was that he was looking at. The Old Fire God scrolls. huh? She hadn't seen those in many years. What they had to do with their current situation, Lyanna wasn't sure. It was when she was staring outside that her husband had mentioned their daughter's name. Lyanna's eyes widened in shock, and she fought the urge to run over to Caelum and yell and find out what was going on. But she stopped herself, not wanting to create a scene and be obnoxious about this. Hearing Caelum ramble on about the things concerning Luminaire stirred up a multitude of emotions in the Phoenix, and after a few more moments she couldn't wait any longer. With tears in her eyes, Lyanna turned and looked at her husband, keeping a hand on the window to steady herself and mustering the calmest voice she could manage.

"Has our daughter finally returned home to us?"

Ansom awaited eagerly as Elaena grabbed her plate and looked at it. He was in so much anticipation that he barely even heard when Elaena spoke about constructive criticism. He watched as she sniffed it and he drew a bit closer. He watched as she took a bite and then frowned when a confused expression came upon her face. He immediately began to think about if he needed salt, pepper, or more cheese. When she smiled and claimed to be joking, he rolled his eyes and gave a sigh. "You shouldn't do that when someone is trying to impress you." He crossed his arms and looked away a bit. "Jerk." He smiled a bit and then grabbed his own plate. "But I am glad you like it."

Ansom then motioned for Elaena to leave the kitchen and head towards the living room area. "There isn't a dining table so we can use the couch. If you want to sit down, that is." He gave a nod and walked over to the three seated couch. He sat down on one corner and began to flip through channels on the tv.

"Well, yeah but because of how she is, being an Administrator of Time and Space, it's pretty busy. Plus I doubt she'd even recognize me now." She said with a giggle before laying back down, her head on Elliot's lap. "I wonder how many would recognize me right now...?"
Elliot blinked "Really? I mean I feel like I would still recognise you if I saw you again but with different hair and tattoos...or maybe." He shrugged his shoulders, stopping when she had laid back down on his lap. He stared down at her for a bit but didn't freeze or flinch like he had done previously. "So... Administrator of time and space sounds...tough. what exactly does she do?" He asked curiously, not understanding exactly what that entailed.

Her eyes fluttered a little at his reaction, her brows raising ever so slightly. It was only after he had smiled a bit that she relaxed again laughing softly, she followed him over to the couch. "I know. I apologise." She said calmly as she sat next to him. "I didn't know you were trying to impress me. I thought you just wanted an opinion on your food..." She said honestly as she looked at him "...If it helps any, I am impressed. It's certainly better than anything I can cook. I'm not joking about that" she said with a nod before turning her attention to her food, taking another bite of it.

"I always like to try and impress people. It helps people get past the whole stigma that comes along with being the Anti-God." Ansom said with a small sigh as he twirled the pasta around his fork. He spoke but his eyes didn't leave the TV as he flipped through channel after channel. He flipped through cartoons, news channels, reality TV, adult movies, regular movies, talk shows, et cetera. Eventually, he stopped on a show about the weather. "I enjoy messing with the weather people." He smiled mischievously and glanced over at Elaena for a second.

"Since the radars are given in real time with a few second delay, I have a lot of fun." Anson took a bite of the food and then, as he chewed, he made a circling motion with his finger towards the air. After a few seconds, a large deep red area appeared on the map, somewhere north of their location. A storm. The weatherman so gasped a bit and attempted to explain the sudden occurrence of the thunderstorm. As he was talking, Ansom waved his hand in the opposite direction, causing the red to disappear completely in a few seconds. The weatherman stammered and then continued on with the normal broadcast. "It's more fun when you're me." Ansom laughed and took another bite.

...⚶Caelum placed the scroll to the side, his research only raising more questions than answers. He decided to rest and ponder the information some more, as he always did in matters such as these. He had acquired new, rather hollow information on the thing known as "Genesis", and he'd have to search for more titles like that in the coming days. Until then, he had a kingdom, as well as a family to tend to, so he figured he'd go about his daily duties, and return every day to read some more of the old texts in hopes of revealing what it was. He could feel the varying emotions coming from his wife, and while it would seem like Lyanna was calm and collected to the untrained eye, he could tell that there was a multitude of emotions running through her mind, no doubt over the commotion within the house, as it was usually so quiet. Hearing Lyanna's attempt at a calm voice, Caelum looked up from his scrolls and walked over to his wife, replying to her, all the while taking note of the tears and commenting on them, a rare smile forming on his face as he did so. He wouldn't dare show such emotion if he was near his servants or children. He had to maintain his calm, collected exterior, as to show no weakness. It was only he and his wife in the study, so emotions were fine to display in such a setting⚶...

Yes, Luminaire has returned, albeit unconscious. I have a few theories, but they won't be concrete until the medical officer gives their report. Don't shed your tears and get your hopes up just yet. We still have to see if the Fae has done his job before she awakens, or things could end up bad for us here. She may be fixed, and if that's the case, then we'll have our little girl back.

Masahi chuckled, not in a way a normal person would, but like someone who knew how to use power. Only a fool would move anything without knowledge, that much was a given in his lines of work. Roman must've started getting soft before he even knew Masahi was still alive, and just because Masahi wanted to turn a new leaf didn't mean he was going to throw away useful skills and knowledge. Well, they always butted heads anyways, why not keep it up for old times sake?

"Did I say chess, or pawns for that matter? I was just trying to get at this: If a controllable situation arises, it might be beneficial to you and them to see how they handle it. We'll know we can stop it at any time, just not that given family member. The only pawns, or rather foot soldiers would be my Zetsu's, by merit that losing a few dozen, or even hundred would be no loss at all. As for my own ability, yes I could handle it, but not in the way I wish to."

The thought of Roman's son left a sour taste in Masahi's mouth. Not because Masahi disliked the kid, but because he had to struggle and suffer before he had anything worthy of being called power or strength, and by the time he had it, it was useless to him as his hour of need had passed twice over. No family, no support, no power. Yeah, Roman's boy couldn't have had a more polar beginning.

"He'll never know, will he? How it is to be so weak and powerless you can't even stand up to his enemies? If he's as strong as you claim, then he may end up being a burden to himself. Trauma isn't enough for growth though, it merely plants a seed. Roman, we may have exceptional genes, but we also know how it is to be the bottom of the food chain. We had to fight tooth and claw for our powers and skills, whether the enemy is someone else or life. That's why I must say this: physical force isn't strength. No one with less than three years in this life is stronger than you."

Masahi looked around quickly before grabbing Roman's shoulder and using Kamui to warp to the highest point he could see. He then looked at Roman and gestured to the general campus.

"Sometimes take, sometimes recruit, it's a case by case basis. If they want to experiment, they'll probably kidnap the person and relocate from what I understand. However, there could be holes in my information, well, no, there are most definitely holes, I just don't know where. anyways, which direction is that research area?"

...⚶Caelum placed the scroll to the side, his research only raising more questions than answers.

Lyanna would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't overwhelmed by the thought of her daughter returning and being "normal." She loved her daughter throughout every single different reincarnation, even going so far as to vouch for her whenever she could. She loved little their little Luminaire. She recalled a few lives where she was brought back as an infant, a completely normal infant, and was able to have a few lives where she got to see her grow up. Reading to her as she fell asleep. Putting her hair up into cute tails. Going exploring out in the garden, as much as Caelum and his guards would let them. She longed for the days of having a "normal" relationship with Luminaire, and those desires were fueling her emotional state at the moment. If this was true, their family would be whole once more. She looked at her husband as he walked over to her, dotting her eyes with her sleeve as he told her not to cry. He was right after all, even if she was physically home, there was no way to ensure her mental state was where it was supposed to be. "You are right, of course. I do apologize, just thinking that Luminaire has returned to us has stirred some emotions I have not felt in a long time." She noticed his smile, a little surprised because of how rare it was to see. How long had it been since she had actually seen him smile? Lyanna responded with a smile of her own, beginning to grow more hopeful. "You said she was sle-"

It was then that the servant that Caelum had sent to check on Lumina's condition burst into the room, out of breath. She looked panicked, her clothes slightly disheveled. "I-I apologize for the intrusion, but Luminaire... Luminaire is- !"

- Not five minutes earlier -

Lumina's anxiety began to grow as she looked around the room. The longer she looked, the more things seemed to look familiar. Why could she remember playing in this room as a child? She had never seen the room before? And then there was this other phoenix who was sitting by her bedside, who apparently had been sitting there waiting for her to wake up or something? Obviously this lady knew who she was, and that was even more concerning. She couldn't sense Kenji anywhere near here, and that wasn't helping her anxiety any. "Miss Luminaire, please, calm down." The attendant spoke, which took her by surprise. That boy, Luxe, had called her the same thing. But this time, it didn't set off some weird reaction in her head. Instead, she looked puzzled, mainly because her first instinct was to actually respond to being called that name. "W-where am I?" Lumina asked again, to which the attendant gave a patient smile. "You are in your home. More specifically, your room." Hearing this confused Lumina, as she was sure that she had never been here before. Maybe. Shaking her head, she began to back up a bit on the bed. "I-I don't know what you're talking about. I just woke up here...!" Weird memories were filling her head, now, all of them taking place in the room. Who were those people? And that white-haired lady, why did she look so... The attendant stood up, trying again to calm the phoenix down so she could talk. "You were brought home by your brother, Luxe, and you were brought to your room on orders of our king, Caelum." Hearing his name, Lumina's eyes widened as memories suddenly came to the forefront of her mind, with the image of someone she definitely knew. Without meaning to, her teleportation activated and she suddenly disappeared from the room, reappearing sitting on the floor in the throne room in front of Caelum's seat. The attendant recoiled in surprise, knocking into the chair she was sitting in and falling backwards on to the floor. She stared for a few moments before realizing that the princess had disappeared from right in front of her, and she now had no idea where she had gone to. Panicking a bit, she dashed out of the room, ordering some guards in the hallway to go and find where she went to. Once they were off, she made the decision to inform the King, worrying more for Luminaire's safety than any reprimanding she might recieve for entering without permission. It didn't take long for the attendant to reach Caelums study and she rushed in to see the King talking with his wife, Lyanna. In a worried and rushed tone, she managed out what had happened. "She's gone. I'm not sure what happened, but she had woken up and I was trying to talk to her and see if she remembered anything, and when I mentioned your name, my liege, she seemed to recognize it, and then she seemed to teleport somewhere. I don't think she would have gone far, she still looked like she was still recovering, so I think she might still be in the house somewhere. I-I'm sorry, my liege, I sent some guards to go locate her but I figured I should let you know." She bowed in apology, worried what the King's response to this news would be.

Hearing this, Lyanna stared at the attendant before looking at her husband. Aside from Luminaire's disappearance, the one thing that she got from the attendant's rushed report was that their daughter recognized Caelum's name. That was a start. If Luminaire was in the house, then it was just a matter of finding out where. She immediately began to wrack her brain of places that Luminaire might have gone, trying to think back to the lives when Luminaire was a child and the places that she would go to when she was upset. There was one place that came to mind, and she looked at her husband with both a worried and urgent expression. "It might be just a hunch, but I think it would be worth it to personally check out the throne room." She might be wrong on this, but she trusted her intuition on this one. It was a mother's intuition, and she was Luminaire's mother, after all.

In the throne room, Lumina looked around at the new setting, and once again she couldn't help but feel like she recognized this place. Looking at the throne, she seemed to remember two very distinct set of events happening: one where she was running around, playing with a boy that looked similar to Luxe, the boy who was supposedly her brother, and another one where she was being dragged out of the room by guards, crying and pleading for the king to change his mind. Caelum. Who was he? She couldn't place it, but it was someone of importance to her. Lumina closed her eyes and held her head in her hands, trying to place what these weird dejavu feelings and memories were. If only Kenji was here, maybe she'd be able to think with a clearer head. Where was he?

I have not really used them since I woke up in Fae or arrived here on 'Earth', so I am not sure how they or I am affected by such radical changes at the moment." Her own wellbeing was kind of a thought in her mind now, so she'd have to keep an eye on herself for the next while just to make sure she was fine.
Ayen

Ayen figured he should be able to see his house in a minute or so of going uphill at this point. After the human's governments going crazy, which given the race's history isn't a surprise at all, he decided to alter the terrain a bit so he'd have a bit more of a warning next time. The end result is a natural-seeming dry moat that, while repetitive for him and the kids, made it so none of the humans' machines could easily get to his house via land. Though it wasn't really necessary these days, Ayen was too lazy or stubborn most days to do anything about it, instead usually opting to just fly over. As such, as they got to the top of the incline, Ayen waited for Celaena before offering his hand. "Well, that's just something we'll have to look into another day. In the meantime, take my hand, unless you like sliding and climbing that is." Though Ayen was focusing on Celaena and carrying Kenji, the copious amount of beauty nature offered at dusk was not lost to him. Indeed, from here you could see the sunset reflect off the lake his house neighbored, though, from the looks of things, his children weren't home as off yet, not that it bothered Ayen. Len was capable, and Lily stuck close to Len. Ayen had made the wooden structure bigger since Len decided to start school, thinking of the chance his son would bring home friends to study. hang out or even stay the night. More people needed more room after all. Not to mention Ayen wouldn't miss a chance to make more treasure storage. "Well, it can grow on you after awhile," Ayen said looking at his house, briefly thinking of all the times he had to put his vagabond lifestyle on hold for children, "I personally preferred it to the world you would have died in." A tad bit of playfulness sneaked its way into his smile as Celaena brought up the fact that he was being with the unconscious Kenji. "This? Please, a child could pull this off, it's nothing special. So, want to go see my not-so-humble abode?"

...⚶Caelum wasted no time in responding to his servant and nodded at Lyanna, his smile soon vanishing with his presence in the room. He quickly made his way down the hall, passing the numerous family portraits on the walls. On occasion, he'd stop and take a look, thinking back to times where Lumina had a peaceful incarnation. While they were far and few in between, he always made sure to savour those moments. While he did put up the facade of authority and a collected mind, he often found himself reminiscing of his whole family, and wondering how Luminaire was doing, not that he'd ever admit it to anyone, not even his wife. Even when they are alone, they seemed to maintain the hidden emotions, just in case someone was watching. It had only been a handful of times Caelum had actually smiled, and that was in the comforts of his bed, or when he was alone with his adolescent children. As Luminaire and Lux grew older, he began smiling less and less, not out of spite, but out of necessity. If a king appeared soft, there would soon be a rebellion, as the Human history has shown throughout the centuries. Children also become a weakness, and if he showed favouritism to his children, his enemies would be able to exploit their relationship and threaten his children. That was something he wished to be spared from, so he acted cold and distant to his family in the presence of company, so that there would be no weakness showed. He soon ended up at the throne room's doors, and with a slight amount of pressure, he walked inside, closing the doors behind him and his wife and locking them. He ignited the numerous candles around the throne room and stepped into the light. The next few moments were crucial, so he had to drop his facade in hopes of his gentle demeanour not triggering Lumina's destructive tendencies. Stepping around the large stone pillars that decorated the throne room, he spoke out to his daughter with another of his rare smiles on his face, ever so slowly making his way to Luminaire⚶...

You used to play here with your brother as a child, you know. For hours on end, you'd make small balls of fire and use them to play catch. Your mother always used to be afraid of you hurting yourselves, but truth-be-told, I always found it a bit unusual, considering you were never able to create them when in the classroom. I suppose it has been quite a while since you were last here, hasn't it, Luminaire?
