Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

"Maybe I'll hire a clown for your birthday~ or maybe I'll just show up as a clown myself, that'd be even better" She said and grinned. Even if she hated clowns, she'd dress up as one just for fun. "Painted on smiles. that creepy voice, the laugh... ugh, the laugh gives me chills." she said and wrapped herself in a hug, pretending to shake a bit.

-----------------------------

Allen's eyebrows raised when she confessed that he'd disappear for days or weeks at a time for a friend. That just wasn't right. Sure, Allen had kinda disappeared for a while, but it wasn't like he and Ilaani were dating either. Now he wished he was there to help Ilaani out with that, but he had to deal with family matters, so he couldn't. Allen laughed and shook his head, "God that guy sounds awful, just expecting you to wait around for him whenever he felt like seeing you? That's ridiculous." He said, shaking his head. "I don't think you should let it stop you from dating though, I'm not saying you should rush into a relationship or anything, I just hope you don't think all guys are like that... considering I kinda disappeared too."
He stared at her when she said she'd dress up as a clown for his birthday, blinking a few times before bursting into laughter. "Ah, sorry. Just the thought of you running around as a clown." He said as he rubbed his eye a little "I think you'd need a lot of clown make up to look convincingly scary" he said as they arrived at movie theater, going ahead and opening the door for Asako to go in first.

--------------

Ilaani tilted her head in response to his words "What? No, that was different. You aren't my boyfriend." She said shaking her head and smiling "And if that were the case, you weren't around because of family issues and stuff. Which is understandable in comparison" she said with a nod "Despite my failed attempts so far, I'm not giving up on dating, I just haven't met anyone I click with" she said with a shrug.

Keeping what he said in mind, Scarlet kept an eye out for four pointy pillars. She wouldn't mind just not landing though, flying with Logan was pretty calming, but they planned on fighting and the idea kind of excited her too. It'd been a while since she'd really went all out. Sure, during school she'd used little parts of it, and she'd sparred with other students, but she hadn't really run into anyone capable of keeping up with her. The first time she sparred with someone she really hurt them, she still felt guilty just thinking about it. She was brought out of her thoughts by Logan's question. "Japan? Nope. I'm not really from here." She said. "Not from here as in I'm from a completely different dimension." She added, realizing how vague her answer had been.
Logan had started to play with powers a bit as they flew towards the arena. Creating a fireball in one hand and tossing it back forth to each hand. Just as Scarlet said she was from a completely different dimension, he smiled. "Guess not many dragons are. I'm from a different dimension also." He said, chuckling a bit. The idea of her being that dragon he saw those many years ago was only starting to be proven right with this newfound fact... Didn't mean the chances of her being fro the same dimension was high. There were millions upon millions of different realities out there. He wouldn't full deny it though, There was still a chance and he was content with finding out. "Hey! I see the arena! Land on that island right there!"

Ansom couldn't help but smile some more. It was odd to have someone other than his sister be supportive and positive about what Ansom could be or what he already was. Though, as he thought about it, other people have been supportive during the first days of meeting Ansom but over time, they disappeared completely. It happened with his daughters and with the mothers of those daughters. His smile faded and he sighed, pulling thy fryer rack out of the oil and observing the golden crust on the chicken. He tilted his head and then decided to put it back in for a few more moments. He drank the rest of his glass of wine and set the glass into the sink. "Are you going to want some bread with the pasta?" Ansom asked after a bit of silence.
She watched his actions curiously, noting his smile dropping and the sigh and odd silence that followed it. The question of what caused his apparent drop of mood was on the tip of the girl's tongue, but she didn't ask, even if she looked like she was going to incase she was wrong about what she noticed. That and she was sure her question count was through the roof to the point of annoying. She was still seemingly watching him when he asked about the bread, though it was just as likely that she spaced out while in thought, it wasn't exactly out of character for her to do such a thing. His voice along with the noise of the glass being set in the sink had broke the silence that had fallen, causing her to snap her thoughts back. "Oh. Uhm. No, no. I'm fine with with just pasta, thank you." She answered with a smile "The sauce is ready now too I think." She added as she examined it.

Ansom nodded a bit. "Alright perfect." He turned off the stove with the pasta and then stirred the noodles. He pulled one out and put it into his mouth. "Alright. Can you strain the water out. There's a colander in the cabinet above the sink." He nodded towards the cabinet before he pulled the second breaded chicken breast from the fryer, placing it on a wooden plate.

Levi couldn't help but smile when Seiko found the charm, watching her hug it before starting to follow it. "Ah, yeah." He answered quickly after she asked him to come along. He followed alongside Seiko, his eyes giving a faint glow of light when it got dark.

Eventually, they reached her apartment/dorm and invited him to enter her room. "Come in I'll make you dinner." She said taking off her shoes and placing her staff against the wall her bag was placed on the couch as she prepared to cook using her weak magic to make the cookbook level with her line of sight as she attempted to make steamed rice and bento like meals for him. She wasn't really mindful of the taste focusing on nutritional value so it was best to avoid her food.

She had been glancing over in the opposite direction seemingly in thought as he was approaching her at first. Hearig his voice calling seemed to catch her attention. She looked over in his direction and caught his wave. Giving a friendly smile in response, she waved back as well. "Hello" she answered as he approached her. She blinked when he asked if she was ready to go, her eyes drifting down to her bag as she adjusted the strap to better fit on her shoulder "Uhm. Yes. I-" she paused, peeking inside the bag one more time, she had already done this multiple times already but wanted to be 100% sure. After a moment or two of checking she moved her gaze back to view Kansuke "Yes. I'm ready." she said with a slight smile, patting her bag, she leaned to one side a little to view the sword and shield he had equipped on his back then his bag "I assume you are too, yes?" she added as her hands had moved their attention to pull at her own bag strap once more. She had to admit as organised with her things as she was, she couldn't help the nervous feeling nagging from inside her. The uncertainty of what she was going to home to playing with her thoughts. After taking a breath to gather herself she left the strap alone before speaking again. "I suppose first we should work out the best route to head home shouldn't we? We wouldn't want to waste time being lost, after all. Its a long journey home" she suggested while taking a step forward, trying to get right into the task at hand to occupy her mind.
Kansuke looked at Mizuki as he stood next to her, somehow feeling excited and happy to be in her presence and planning this trip to their hometown. It felt weird to just be travelling home like this with someone who was pretty much a stranger, someone who in reality was just barely a friend. But it was fine. If Mizuki needed help with this, and because it involved her hometown, he'd do whatever he could to help. He couldn't help but smile as she checked her bag, guessing it wasn't the first time she was going to check it, much less the last. He couldn't help but pat down his own stuff, as if to make sure that he had all of his gear, which he most definitely did. "Good," he responded, nodding in response to her question. "Yeah, I've got everything I need." He reached behind and grabbed the hilt of his sword, a simple thing in an equally simple scabbard. "To be honest, I'd be good with just my sword and shield, but I figure it can't hurt to be prepared." Kansuke brought his hand back down to his side, noticing the worry that seemed to be growing in her expression. He was a little bit nervous at the thought of something happening to his hometown, and he couldn't even imagine how much more it was affecting Mizuki, if what she was saying about the visions was true. She could see it actually happening, all this horrible stuff going on. How awful it must have been. Kansuke started to reach out a hand to touch her shoulder to maybe help calm her down when she seemed to snap out of it and spoke. Kansuke retracted his hand quickly, nodding in agreement at her suggestion of how to get started. "Right," he answered, pulling out the same map that he used to get here in the first place. It was a bit old-school of course, but Kansuke was outdoorsy and adventurous. That, and his homeland wasn't super updated with things like phones and GPS. It was almost medieval, but in all the good ways. Kansuke stared at it for a moment before looking up and out into the distance, trying to get his bearings as to which direction they needed to head in. After a while, Kansuke pointed in the direction of a very far off mountain range, in the complete opposite direction of the city. "That's the direction we need to head toward. It lines up with the map here." He pointed back down at the map, and exactly what spot he was referring to. It seemed to line up fairly well, and it looks like Mizuki had managed to start walking in that direction anyways.. Nodding, he rolled up the map and stuffed it in the side of his bag, moving to begin walking alongside his new travelling companion.

"Hm... I dunno. I just don't think I shouldn't. Besides, it's not like it'll get in the way or anything." She said before she finished her bottle of water. She then crushed it using her hands and then setting it on the table. She then realized she could've freaked Elliot a bit so she smiled at him, giggling slightly. "Don't worry about the bottle. That's just what I do so there's more space in the recycle later."
Elliot stared at the crushed bottle then at Seria, it obviously did freak him a bit, since he assumed he pissed her off in some way, he blinked a few times when she giggled "Oh. Right." He answered giving a nervous laugh after "I thought I made you mad or something" he admitted.

Elaena nodded and went to the cabinet opening it up she reached up to pull out the colander, standing on her tip toes for a moment to reach it. Taking the colander she went ahead and reached for the pot with the pasta in it straining the water out into the sink slowly, not wanting to make a mess.

As they arrived at the door of Seiko's dorm, Levi was just about to say his farewells before being invited inside. He blinked a few times. She wanted to make him dinner? He waved his hands "Ah, no Seiko it's okay I-" he stopped and stared at her realising she had already rushed in and started "Oh. You're already cooking..." He said before laughing a little and walking in, closing the door "I guess I'll have some, since you're going to the trouble of preparing it and everything" he said with a nod and a smile. He walked over to the kitchen and watched her cook. Whatever it was. It didn't look or smell appetizing if he were honest but he wouldn't tell her that. He knew Seiko was trying her best to make him something, so he'd eat it anyways, regardless of the taste.

Elliot stared at the crushed bottle then at Seria, it obviously did freak him a bit, since he assumed he pissed her off in some way, he blinked a few times when she giggled "Oh. Right." He answered giving a nervous laugh after "I thought I made you mad or something" he admitted.
"It'll take a lot to get me mad. What does get me mad though is when men force themselves on women even after a few no's. It really does piss me off now that I'm thinking about it." She then sighed before laying down, laying her head on Elliot's lap, just outta boredom. "Say, do you ever get mad? You don't seem like the type."

She then sighed before laying down, laying her head on Elliot's lap, just outta boredom. "Say, do you ever get mad? You don't seem like the type."
Just as he was about to respond to her first statement she lay her head on his lap, causing him to flinch a bit, since he wasn't expecting it at all, his cheeks flaring pink for a bit before before going back to normal again "I don't? Oh...well. Yeah. Everyone gets mad. Including me. I just need a very good and clear reason to be mad I guess. So it's not a thing that happens often..." He shrugged his shoulders "So...I guess you are kind of right." He said glancing down at Seria before glancing away again. "In your case that's a very specific thing to be mad about. It's a perfectly understandable thing to be mad about though..."

Alejandro walked towards the door of the girl's dormitory. It'd be only his second time here, but it always felt odd. Sort of out of place, which would make sense because he's a guy. Using his powers to open the door and hold it in place, he heard Astrid speak. He nodded before blushing a little bit as she squeezed his arm. With a smile, he kept walking. A few of the other female students who had been in the dorms glanced at them and some even said somethings to one another. Figuring it was just some usual girl gossip, Alejandro paid it no mind. He just kept walking until he made it to Astrid's door. When they got there, he slowly knelt down and lifted up the mat, grabbed the key and unlocked the door. Before going inside, he kicked the part of the mat he lifted up back into place and then headed inside, closing the door behind him. He then brought Astrid over to what he guessed was the most comfortable chair before going back to lock the door.

Finally back on campus, Alejandro was able to relax. Before he left, his grandmother told him Perfect was going to be locked away, and his power suppressed. That was a relief. Alejandro walked back to the chair he sat Astrid down in and knelt down once again. He had placed his hand on hers and sighed, looking up at her. "If you want, I can carry you straight to bed. I'm pretty sure you're tired. I'll crash in the living room, so I won't be too far." He said, his tone being rather soft than his usual tone. This newfound relationship opened up that softer side he had been keeping away all this time. Alejandro himself was a bit surprised by it, but he knew exactly what it was. It was sort of funny to him, seeing as how we was never careful with anything but what missions he was assigned to. He never expected to be like this... and with Astrid of all people.
At this point for the redhead, it was a bit hard to stay awake. Blue was being extra gentle and careful with her, and he was strong enough to keep her held up and comfortable while walking back to her dorm. She wanted to stay awake, because she had a feeling she'd fall into some nasty nightmares if she didn't. And she didn't want to have to worry Blue with her overactive imagination. Her eyes fluttered open as she heard some other female students gossipping around them, her brows furrowing at hearing them. If she wasn’t so exhausted from the fight and from breaking down in the forest, she would have totally told them off, but there was no way that was happening. Instead she just buried her face into Blue’s shirt, focusing on his scent instead. Despite the fighting, he seemed to still have a crisp, almost minty scent to him. She liked it, and helped her tune out the other dumb girls. She was impressed when Alejandro was able to open the door and get inside without having to set her down, which only happened once they were inside.

Being set down and being out of Blues arms did wake her up a bit. She used the time that he spent going and locking the door to run her eyes a bit and get acclimated to being back home. Glancing around she noticed that Hyou wasn’t around, though Skylars door was closed so maybe they were in there together. She wasn’t about to ask. It was then that Blue came over and knelt next to her, saying that he was going to crash in the living room. Hearing that, Astrid’s eyes widened and she shook her head, using her free hand and placing it on top of the one he placed on her. “N-no!” she blurt out way faster than she would have liked. Hearing herself say it like that, an embarrassed flush found her cheeks, and she glanced away for a moment. “I-I mean... I-I thought you were going to stay with me...” Her eyes moved up to meet Alejandro’s once more. “I don’t really want to sleep alone..” Her now-slightly-blushing expression showed the vulnerability she was finally allowing herself to have. A vulnerability that he had brought out of her. It was scary and Astrid hated it, but because it was for him of all people, she didn’t seem to mind. Maybe it was because he was finally opening up to her as well, that she just couldn’t help but do the same.

Hyou, at some point after Lily left, sat down on the chair. He had it facing towards the window, as he was enjoying the view he had got before sitting down and didn't want to lose it just because he wanted to relax. Lily came back into the room and hopped up onto the chair and looked out the window once more with Hyou. "Nice view... Pretty sure short stuff would like it." Hyou said, chuckling a bit. "She's still all that's on your mind?" Lily asked curiously. Hyou nodded, a slight smile on his face. Of course she was. She was always on his mind. Even before this. Thinking of something else that wasn't her was rather hard to do for him, and it didn't bother him one bit. "I always think about those I love... Sky more than others though." He said, responding to Lily. With a smirk, Lily spoke, "Happy to hear you at least think about me." He said, laughing a bit. "Aw shut up." Hyou replied. Eventually Hyou found himself thinking about Alejandro and that damned Astrid. They may have had their differences, but she started to grow on him... and he knew exactly how Alejandro felt about her. As much as he hated to admit it, the person he used to despise the most... Well she seemed perfect for him. He could only wonder if something happened, seeing as he received no calls or text from Alejandro.

The area had quieted down a bit, and Lily had fallen asleep. Hyou was slowly starting to go too. Just as his eyes began to flytter shut, he heared his name. It was faint, and assumed it was just his imagination. He was tired after all. Just as he closed his eyes once again, his name was called. This time it was a scream. It was Skylar. Hyou got up moving almost as if he were warping around. He pushed open Skylar's bedroom door and quickly made his way over to her bed, "I'm here, Sky... I'm here, don't worry." He said, trying to comfort her.
Skylar wasn’t normally the type to get super shaken. Hell, she was nearly killed by her own boyfriend and she was able to forgive him and face him like she did. She almost prided herself on having a level head during stressful times. That was probably why she was good at school. So it was strange to be freaking out over something so silly and not-real as a dream. Apparently everything that had happened to her lately (which was actually quite a lot) had started to wear on her mental strength, and it was finally starting to take its toll. So maybe that’s why the dream felt so real. Part of Skylars terror was the fact that Hyou wasn’t around when she woke up, so her mind immediately went to the worst case scenario of “something happened and/or he’s dead.” The tears fell down her cheeks as she frantically looked around the room, starting to get up when the door opened. Her eyes snapped to the figure in the doorway, not registering it was Hyou until he was by her bedside. Finally seeing Hyou, hearing his voice and knowing that he was okay, Skylar lunged over and wrapped her arms around his neck, crying into his shoulder. It was such a relief to see him, and as he was such a solid foundation in her life he also served as an emotional outlet, which is exactly what she needed right now. Trying to breathe between her sobs, she attempted to sputter out a response. “P-perfect w-w-was there, a-and then i-i-it was d-dark, a-a-and y-you were g-gone, a-and when I w-woke up y-you weren’t h-here... I-I just...” her voice broke, clutching on to the dragon as if he were going to disappear from right in front of her. Having Hyou here was helping to calm her a bit, so her sobs eventually slowed to less intense tears, which were soaking his shirt. “I don’t w-want you to leave me.” she admitted, hiding her face in his shoulder.

Zero smiled when Ryft said it was alright. Typically, any other guy might struggle a bit with carrying someone, but Zero was pretty strong, even if he might not look like it. "So, Ryft. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of powers do you have?" he asked. He wanted to change the subject to something that would bring up the mood. As far as he could see, Ryft didn't have any features that would give a hint as to what he was, nothing like horns, or a tail, or even sharp teeth. He was curious none the less, but he'd ask later when they knew each other better. Ryft just looked like a normal guy. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, for some people I get it can be a personal thing." He added. Ryft was a new friend, and he didn't want to say anything that might make him uncomfortable..
Ryft was actually quite impressed by Zero’s ability to so easily carry him. He wasn’t necessarily small by any means, though his stature and frame did leave him slightly shorter and thinner than the average boy his age, but his muscles were always super well defined within his lean body. Therefore, he did have a bit more weight to him than it would look, so he was even more surprised by Zero’s ease of carrying him. The strangeness of being carried waned the longer he was held, to the point where he wasn’t really thinking much on it. It just was a thing that was happening. Aside from all this, Zero was now asking what his powers were. Ah, that’s right. To enroll at the high school, you had to have some kind of power or ability. You weren’t allowed to attend otherwise. He remembered other people he had talked to asking him the same question. Without much hesitation, Ryft spoke. “I’m a weapon.” He looked at Zero before realizing he should probably clarify what that meant. “I mean that to say that I’m not human, or not originally. I was an experiment that happened when they decided to see if a gun could be turned into a human and given a conscious. It worked, and now I’m here. With that, I was given the ability to transform myself into any weapon in existence, even becoming weapons that haven’t existed before, or will exist in the future. I can transform any part of my body into a weapon if I so choose, though the effectiveness of that is extremely limited. Though, I can only completely transform into a weapon if I make a pact with someone and have them be my Wielder, where I am their personal weapon companion.” He finished speaking, looking at Zero with a neutral expression as if something like that was normal. “Oh, and I can do diagnostics checks on mysel, and my Wielder once the pact is made.” He added, before continuing. “What about yourself?”

Just as he was about to respond to her first statement she lay her head on his lap, causing him to flinch a bit, since he wasn't expecting it at all, his cheeks flaring pink for a bit before before going back to normal again "I don't? It's a perfectly understandable thing to be mad about though..."
"Hm... Yeah." She said before she just stared into Elliot's eyes. She's never done this with anyone. It looked interesting. She then looked away before yawning a bit. "Hey, where's your sis?"

Kansuke looked at Mizuki as he stood next to her, somehow feeling excited and happy to be in her presence and planning this trip to their hometown. It felt weird to just be travelling home like this with someone who was pretty much a stranger, someone who in reality was just barely a friend. But it was fine. "To be honest, I'd be good with just my sword and shield, but I figure it can't hurt to be prepared." Kansuke brought his hand back down to his side, noticing the worry that seemed to be growing in her expression. Mizuki had just caught him pulling his hand away after she spoke, watching him curiously for a moment or two she stopped when he had answered her. She was obviously still a bit nervous about the whole thing but she was pushing it down. Nervousness would not help them get there quicker, so she decided to continue trying to focus her mind on the task of getting there rather than thinking back on what she had saw in her visions. She did find a bit of calm in the fact that she wasn't travelling alone, she had Kansuke. Granted, they had only met a number of days ago but she trusted him and he was easy to talk to for her, she wasn't sure if this was to do with her strange memories or if it was just that Kansuke just had the kind of personality that made him easy to talk to. As he pulled out the map she walked back and peered over his shoulder to see it too, narrowing her eyes a little when Kansuke had pointed out the mountain range, her gaze following where he had pointed. Yes, that was a familiar sight, with a nod she had already started to wander in that direction with Kansuke catching up and following alongside her. The two were soon out of the grounds of the school and on the road. Mizuki took one last look at the school before looking right ahead in the direction of the mountain range that they were heading towards. A quiet had fallen between them at first, though Mizuki didn't mind it all that much, it wasn't an awkward type of silence, it was just a silence. After another moment, she looked to Kansuke, her expression looking as though she was about to question him "...On the way here. Did you travel the whole way yourself?" She asked curiously after some time had passed, breaking the silence that had fallen "Why did you come here? You know, leaving home and everything" she shrugged her shoulders gently "If it is okay for me to know that is. I do not wish to seem as though I am prying" she quickly added after.

"Hm... Yeah." She said before she just stared into Elliot's eyes. She's never done this with anyone. It looked interesting. She then looked away before yawning a bit. "Hey, where's your sis?"
Elliot stared back at her for a bit, awkwardly moving his gaze away from her after a moment. "Elaena? She texted me earlier. She went for a walk then met up with a friend." He answered with a sigh his expression turning a bit more serious as he spoke "I do hope she's ok though, said friend is the God of Chaos from what she tells me. Can't say I'm too happy with her keeping such unpredictable company. She assures me he's a nice guy but I don't know. Elaena trusts people way to easily..." He said shaking his head.

As far as Kansuke knew, he was always on his own. It wasn't that he didn't have people in his life or people he could call his friends, but he always seemed to grow up without a family. Though, he wasn't actually aware of this similarity between his lives. In one lifetime, he was raised by the Great Deku Tree. Another he was raised by an uncle, who sadly was struck down in the dark dungeons of the castle at the time. There was one life that he had a sister and grandmother, though he didn't really get to spend much time with them as his sister had gotten kidnapped, which set him off on his adventure. But once again, in this lifetime he didn't really have any family. He managed to make a home for himself in a local village, as he had multiple times before, really only travelling to FHS because he needed something a bit more stimulating to do with his life. He didn't like to just sit around, he would get a bit stir crazy if he didn't have anything to do. So it was actually kind of nice to be travelling home, even though it was going to be dangerous, at least it was for a purpose. They were travelling to go do something. Something really important. Kansuke did notice Mizuki glance back at the school, almost looking like she wasn't sure if she'd see it again. He didn't say anything about it, or anything else for the first part of their journey together. The pair walked in a sort of content silence, just enjoying the walk. The silence was eventually broken by Mizuki asking why he had travelled by himself to FHS and leaving home. He looked over at her with a sort of surprised expression, not expecting for her to ask that question. She seemed to feel like she was prying into his personal life, and he smiled and shook his head. "It's fine, you're not prying. It's not a bad idea to try and get to know each other." He chuckled a bit before placing his hands behind his head in a relaxed stance, looking forward wistfully as they walked. "I suppose I felt like I.. needed something to do?" He chuckled again at the strangeness of the answer. "It was like I wasn't really... needed at home, I guess. Like everything in Hyrule was fine, and our home didn't really need me? That sounds really weird to say it out loud..." He brought his hands down, crossing his arms in front of him in thought, trying to find the right words to say. "I made a home for myself in a nice village to the east of Castle Town, I'm sure you know the one I'm talking about, but I felt kind of stagnant. I heard of a school pretty far away that was meant for people around my age with 'abilities' or something, so I figured it was as good idea as any to go and check it out and attend. Though, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to leave after all..." His expression darkened, his eyes narrowing for a moment. But the moment soon passed, and he looked over at Mizuki with a new smile. "What about you? You're the princess, right? I wouldn't think leaving home to attend a foreign school was something you'd just be allowed to do." Kansuke was genuinely curious about how his homeland's (supposed) princess managed to end up going to the same school as him. Also, if the two were going to save their home, he did want to get to know her better.

...⚶Caelum nodded to a few of his servants to pick up Lumina and take her to her room for treatment. At the same time, Caelum knelt to his bowing son and placed his hand onto his shoulder and spoke to him, his voice being a combination of comfort and authority, as if he was both consoling Lux and ordering him. After he was done speaking, he stood up and entered his home, behind his servants. When they reached the hallway, he broke off from them and walked down one of the hallways and entered a small room in which a seated female was writing inscriptions onto an already cluttered page.⚶...

I see. Do not fret, Luminaire will be taken to her room and I'll have a medical officer see to her. Until then, you may roam freely. I'll call you when Luminaire has been examined.

When they reached the hallway, he broke off from them and walked down one of the hallways and entered a small room in which a seated female was writing inscriptions onto an already cluttered page. Stopping just short of the desk, he picked up one of the books that was and opened it up, scanning it's contents all the while speaking to the female⚶...

Luminaire has returned unconscious, I need you to see to her. Also, be sure to check to see if she's still.. broken. We don't want another repeat of what happened in Pompeii, I'm rather fond of where we are, and it'll be hard to cover it up this time by saying it was a volcanic eruption, considering there are no active nor dormant volcanoes anywhere near this place.

Yes, my liege.

Lyanna Phoseroth
It had been many years since Lyanna Phoseroth had seen her daughter. Though she had made the choice to temporarily place Luminaire in the care of another, she had still not forgotten. She longed that her daughter might be cured of whatever seemed to be plauging her, not for just the family's sake and their species, but for Luminaire's sake as well. How many times did they have to kill her, for everyone's protection? She remembered the times when Luminaire was a more docile version of herself, stuffed in that dark ice prison, just pleading to be let out, that she wouldn't hurt anyone. The poor girl had been through so much. They were horrible memories, ones that Lyanna hoped would never have to happen again. But, at this point, so many years had passed since Luminaire was given to the "white-haired fae" that she was honestly starting to believe that her daughter might never come home. Lyanna was born into royalty, so she was taught from a young age how to maintain a composed exterior, but these last few years were getting far more difficult to keep up the charade. The hopelessness over Luminaire's disappearance was starting to wear her thin, the unrest among the Phoenixes was growing, and Caelum's attitude was getting tenser and tenser by the day. It honestly felt like there was going to be some kind of coup or uprising soon if things didn't change. For now, Lyanna had set about writing in her journal, to rid her head of the dark thoughts that seemed to plague it as of recently. She set down her pen, reading over the words written in the now-drying ink on the page. Most of her thoughts seemed to contain her daughter, and a few about her adopted son, Luxe, who had most recently left for some school a little bit away. She wasn't exactly filled in on the details why, all that Caelum had told her was that it was for something important. Either way, Lyanna couldn't help but sigh reading over her words. Wasn't there any recent good news?

Setting the journal aside, Lyanna decided that she was going to talk a walk to clear her head. She enjoyed going on walks, either alone or with her husband, though getting Caelum to join her was a near-impossible feat lately. It seemed like he always had something to do. As disappointing as it was that she couldn't spend as much time with her husband as she wanted, it was understandable. It was a part of the deal, marrying the to-be king of the Phoenixes. But she did love her husband, so it was a cross she was willing to bear. Standing up, Lyanna smoothed her clothes before exiting her study and heading down the hallway. The halls were usually fairly quiet, which didn't bother the phoenix all that much. Too much excitement was kind of exhausting, so she didn't mind it. Though, it seemed like there was a bit more hustle and bustle than normal, down the hall in the opposite direction that she was heading. Curious, Lyanna changed her course and headed to where she was hearing things happening, to see a servant running down the hall, toward a wing of the house wasn't used for anything but being cleaned nowadays, toward where more sound was coming from. Lyanna's eyes widened in realization at what that could potentially mean, but she didn't want to get her hopes up just yet. Just to be sure, she began to head towards Caelum's study to see if he was there, to figure out what was happening around here.

Lumina
Lumina was kind of in a dreamless state. Unconscious, her body wasn't moving, but her mind seemed to also have stopped moving. After all the fractured memories decided to flood her mind all at once, they finally stopped, giving the poor girl some relief. She had always been on the frail side, even with the strength training had had gone through. With the relief came some alleviation of her symptoms, and the sweat that had formed on her brow from the exertion on her body had stopped, so her unconscious body seemed to visibly relax, which did catch the eye of one of the servants, who exhaled a sigh of relief. It didn't take long for the servants to reach Lumina's room, which despite not having been used in quite a number of years was still kept in pristine condition. Lyanna's orders, of course, on the off chance her daughter would ever return home. The servants placed her gently on the bed, backing up slowly just out of sheer wariness. They had heard that the King had a daughter, but had never actually seen her. "Luminaire" was almost a rumor at this point, words passed between the lips of phoenixes, and this rumor was what was causing some problems in the nobles, so the servants weren't exactly sure of what to do at the moment now that they had did what their King had asked. As they were deliberating, the servant that Caelum had sent to check on her had arrived, and informed the first set of servants that she was here to keep an eye on her. With that, the first servants exited almost too quickly, eager to leave and go back to doing anything else.

Lumina wasn't out for very much longer. Since the memories stopped, her body was recovering just fine, so it wouldn't take much for her to wake up. Eventually, Lumina's eyes slowly opened, her vision clearing to see a ceiling that she definitely did not recognize. Sitting up slowly, Lumina looked around to see a room that she did not recognize, and another phoenix sitting in a chair beside the bed. Lumina blinked at the sight, not used to seeing other phoenixes around. "W-where am I?" she asked, tentatively, scared to be waking up in a bed someplace that she didn't recognize. Well, now that she thought about it, it did look a little familiar. Like she had definitely seen this place before, or had been here before. She rubbed her head, the dejavu of the appearing memory giving her a headache. She couldn't sense Kenji anywhere nearby, which only added to her fear of this situation, but she could sense three other energies nearby that did seem to feel familiar, though she couldn't place why that was.

KIRSA SCHLAUE
If Kirsa was honest with herself, she was kind of lonely. She had been off on some mission that Siegfried had sent her on during the whole mess with that phoenix and that mana user puppet boy, so she missed out on all the action. And then, Siegfried just kind of disappeared, meaning when she got back to the base he was gone, having left no information about where he was or when he'd return, and no information about what to do in the meantime. All she knew was that she was told to return when her mission was done, and it was, so she returned. And now she had nothing to do. This was a bit of a problem. For a homonculi, she thrived on being told what to do. She was programmed to do what Siegfried told her to do. Well... that wasn't exactly right. While Siegfried could very easily force her to do whatever he wanted, it never came to that, because she was happy to do what he wanted regardless. She was alive because of him, after all, so her loyalty and obedience to Siegfried was second to none. Maybe that's what was programmed into her: absolute loyalty. Honestly, she didn't mind. It was the only life she had to live, and she was glad to live it the way she was. She was happy, and good at what she did, so she was useful as well. He didn't seem to dislike her, which was a bonus.

The problem currently lied in the fact that right now, she was next to useless. It wasn't often that she actually had the free time to just do whatever she wanted. Often what would happen would be that the moment she had some free time, Siegfriend would ask her to go do something else for him, to which she'd happily oblige. Her stamina and energy reserves were some of her larger assets that she had to use, so she was definitely good for being sent on multiple missions back-to-back without much rest. That was fine anyways, she wasn't a fan of just sitting around doing nothing. Because of her programmings being the way they were, she'd get stir-crazy just sitting around without so much as an order. Well, at least she could spend a little bit of the time writing a report from her mission. This wasn't always necessary as usually she'd return home to Siegfried and she'd be able to report directly to him, but obviously that wasn't the case this time. So, writing it was. Within a half an hour, the report was done and placed on his desk for Siegfried to find whenever he returned. It might have taken longer, but this had just been a simple reconnaissance mission to scope out on enemy base and report any findings that they should know about. Nothing had seemed too out of the ordinary, and the bulk of the time spent on the mission was honestly just getting there. It was at least a three day trip just to get there. Why he had sent her instead of some kind of drone, she'd never know. She could only hope (or guess) that he believed she would be more thorough in her reports. She did like to think that she was one of his best assets, though the accuracy of that statement was still up for debate. Sighing, Kirsa closed the door to his office behind her after placing the report on the desk, making her way down the hallway to the room with the computers in it.

Well, if she was going to be left to her own devices, she might as well do something somewhat productive. Maybe there was some kind of business that Siegfried still needed to do that hadn't been done yet. If he wasn't here, how was he to do it? Nodding at her genius idea, Kirsa started about turning on the computer and finding current mission files for all active homonculi or other assets under his control. As she thought, all of her own mission statuses were set to complete, save for the mission she had just finished still labeled as "In progress." She paid it no mind, knowing that Siegfried would change the status once he read the reports and confirmed the mission's completion for himself. Sure, she could go in his personal computer and change it herself, but she wasn't about to just go through his things without permission. That mana puppet boy was a prime example of the things that Siegfried was capable of, and she wasn't exactly keen on the idea of experiencing those things for herself anytime soon. Moving on, she was scrolling through unassigned missions before stopping at one labeled "Assassination." Kirsa was no stranger to these kinds of missions, her abilities were almost tailor-made for that kind of thing, but what struck her was the log date. It was fairly new, but not so new that she wouldn't have known about it. It was acutally the oldest mission on there. Siegfried did like to make sure that the things he needed were done in a prompt fashion. Now that she thought about it, he had sent her on time-consuming missions for simpler things such as the most recent recon missions in the time that it was logged in. And from the looks of it, a few other lesser homonculi had been sent on it only for them to end up terminated. If it was that much of a hassle, why hadn't she been assigned to it instead? She could have very easily taken care of it, and then those other homonculi wouldn't have been wasted. "Stupid Siegfried, I could have done this right away.." she pouted at the thought before sighing, and assigning herself to the mission and signing off on the computer. Well, since he wasn't around, he couldn't technically send her off to do anything else, so it was a good a time as any to get it done. Kirsa shut off the computer and grabbed her things before exiting the base and heading toward the destination.

tumblr_nfiy67uKQx1rydwbvo1_500.gif

She glanced at her personal device that carried all of her assigned mission information, making sure she had all the details down. She frowned once more upon noticing the bit where it said that the target was someone who was starting to investigate into Siegfried's activities. Well, great. Two homonculi had unsuccessfully been sent after the guy, so now he was probably even more interested and potentially even found out some things that really should not be found out. Kirsa groaned, before stuffing the device away into her pocket once more. She was on track to reach the destination within the hour (the guy was closer than she would have liked, damnit), and she had to focus. This guy was going to be a problem to all of them if she didn't take care of him, so there was no room for slipping up. Eventually the destination came into view, and she narrowed her eyes at the sight of a few guards posted outside. Geez, the guy had guards, too? Well after two apparently failed assassination attempts, it did make sense. Well, there was no time like the present. Moving as quietly as she could, she snuck to the edge of the building behind the guy on the left, reaching around and grabbing him to bring him out of view before snapping his neck. Unfortunately, this didn't go quite as silently as she would have hoped, and the remaining guard came charging around the corner. Seeing some strange girl having very obviously snapped his friend's neck, he charged again, this time directly at her. He swung his sword, aiming for her face. In response, Kirsa slid on her knees, sliding under the sword swing and between his legs, turning to face him before friction stopped her movement. She was obviously much faster than the guy, so by the time he was able to react and turn around, she had already stuck her own sword straight through his chest, piercing his heart and stopping him, quite literally, dead. Without much hesitation, she entered the building, taking a final glance at the device to make sure she knew exactly what room she needed to go to.

ce5cbc1875c54f65bf6caa3f5a558a5e.gif

It was quite a nice building, definitely looked like it might house someone important. There wasn't time to admire the architecture, sadly. The two dead men outside was bound to draw some unwanted attention, so she knew she needed to act fast or else it would be too late. Standing in front of the door to the room she needed to enter, Kirsa inhaled sharply before exhaling the same way, steeling her emotions and focus as sharp as her blade. She was angry at this guy for interfering with Siegfried, and that was something she would not let slide. The homonculi opened the door, still trying to keep as quiet so as not to alert him of her prescense. as she could Stepping in the room, she noticed the man was sitting at his desk, seeming to be writing notes of some kind. There was a security monitor feed playing on a screen on the desk, very obviously showing a view of the outside. Her eyes widened at the sight, completely forgetting in her anger at this man to actually do her job and make sure there was no way he could see her coming. Obviously she hadn't done a great job of that.

"I was wondering when you'd show up." he spoke, his voice taking her a bit aback. It was like he had eyes in the back of her head or something. She narrowed her eyes, not letting herself get taken off guard. There was a reason those two perfectly capable homonculi didn't return alive, and she had a feeling it had to do with this guy here. "You must be... Kirsa, right?"

The homonculi immediately drew her weapon, getting into an offensive stance, her eyes narrowed at the man. She focused her energy so tightly that the glass in the most nearby window shattered, glass shards flying in the room around and between them. She wasn't about to let him show that he was starting to mess with her head. "If you know who I am, then you know why I'm here. After everything you've been doing, I can't just let you live."

To that, the man chuckled. "I see. If that's how it is... maybe you'll put up a better fight than those two that came before you." Kirsa grit her teeth, wanting nothing more than to charge at him and slice his head clean off. Her instincts told her this would be a bad idea. Soon enough, the man got up, nearly knocking over the chair he was sitting in. He turned around. looking at Kirsa with an almost serene look. She could tell that he was on guard, not stupid enough to completely be relaxed. But he looked and felt calm enough to view the homonculi as more of a pest than a threat. Kirsa adjusted her feet under her to move at a moment's notice, wondering what this man would have up his sleeve.

What she didn't expect was how quickly that moment would come. Almost like a bullet he had thrown some kind of projectile at her, and her only saving grace was her small stature allowing a higher mobility and flexibility in the moments that really counted. She barely dodged out of the way, feeling it just graze the tips of her hair as she leaned backwards to avoid it. In that time, he cam running at her, some kind of weapons in his hands that she couldn't see in the heat of the moment. Her educated guess was that they were more of the same thing he had just thrown at her, but she'd have to get into a better position to do that. Planting her left foot on the wall behind her, she propelled herself forward to the other side of the room, getting some space between her and the man. He seemed intent on chasing her, so she acted as she always would, bouncing off every surface she could get her feet on. Part of her was hoping her stamina would outlast his, though it seemed like he had a good share of his own and wasn't going to stop any time soon. Well, if that was the case, running didn't really seem to be a viable option. Her fighting skills were top notch, and it was time to show them off.

Planting her weight into her right foot, she spun around on her right leg to quickly face the man, which seemed to take him by surprise, as if he thought he was going to continue to chase her forever. In a fluid, practiced motion, she had set up her body in an attacking stance, using the momentum of the turn to power her swing. It was fast and strong, enough to slice into the man's arm before he could stop himself. Blood splattered on the ground and he spit out a string of curses, but it wasn't long before he recovered and was throwing more of the throwing weapons her way. She was still mid-swing, so she wasn't able to fully dodge a few, with three of them slicing up bits of her skin. It stung like hell, but it wasn't going to be enough to stop her. It only fueled to make her charge back at him and reduce the distance between them so as to reduce the effectiveness of whatever it was that he was throwing.

This exchange happened for a good while, until both parties were cut up and tired. They stood facing each other, both clearly out of breath, before he started to move to take something out of his back pocket. Kirsa narrowed her eyes at him, wondering what he was going to pull next, before her eyes widened in shock at what he pulled out. It was a detonator, blinking red light on top and all. A quick scan of the room showed little blinks of light scattered throughout the entire room. Kirsa even noticed some through the open door into the rest of the building, indicating that there were charges set throughout the building. The homonculi snapped her gaze back to her opponent, an angry and unbelieving expression on her face.

"You can't seriously mean to destroy this place!" she yelled, moving her free hand to gesture towards his computer, the area around it fairly messed up from the battle. "All of your research will be gone!" This earned a smirk from the man, and he pulled out yet another item. It looked to be some kind of USB device, like a flashdrive. If he was holding that, then--

tumblr_n3oz6a10761sgfuivo2_500.gif

"But it won't be gone. It'll be right here with me." He spoke affirming her fears. So while they were talking, and she was hesitating to attack, he was backing up all his files onto that memory stick. "And it'll be coming with me as I leave this building and blow it up with you in it!" Kirsa grit her teeth once more and moved her weapon into an attack stance before the man held up the detonator threateningly. "Ah ah~" he warned in a singsong voice. "Not unless you want to get blown up right now!" He laughed a bit, clearly deranged. As he laughed, Kirsa lauched herself into the air, spinning as she brought down her attack. She didn't really care if she died or not. If she did, it would have been for a good cause as it was for Siegfried. Anything for Siegfried was worth doing. It seemed as though the man had honestly not expected her to still attack, and dropped the detonator in surprise. The delayed timer switch turned on, though the homonculi didn't notice. All she cared about was finishing this, once and for all.

Her sword had connected with the man's torso, slicing from the left side of his neck all the way down to the right side of his pelvis. The added spin of her attack had added just enough force to make the sword cut deep enough to be lethal. However, the man had managed one last counterattack and stuck his own weapon into the soft tissue of her abdomen. He had stuck it deep enough that when he fell over dead from her blow, his weapon stayed stuck in her. She gasped, immediately feeling the pain that the weapon was sending through her abdomen. Her hands clutched her stomach around the weapon, her first instinct being to pull it out before it got any worse. However, a glint on the floor near the pool of blood underneath her stopped her, and she recognized it as the memory stick containing the data on Siegfried and the homonculi. There was potentially much more information on there that probably shouldn't get released to the public, so for the moment she focused her waning energy on grabbing the stick and getting out. But before she could reach it, she heard a beep not a few feet away, and her eyes barely had a chance to snap to the 00:00 on the detonator's delayed timer before the explosions in the house went off, sending her flying through the nearest unshattered window and into the alleyway of the city street below.

VIOLETTA
The school day had been pretty uneventful. Serving as a security guard for the school, one of Violetta's jobs was to also make sure that the kids weren't getting in trouble and staying in line and in class like they should. There were a few delinquents that Apollyon seemed to handle fine, so it was a pretty easy enough day for her. All that the goddess really wanted, however, was to go home to her boyfriend and her children. She knew that her goddess of time genes meant that they would grow up quicker than normal human children did, so she wanted to be around for as much as possible during their childhood years. She didn't really have a childhood, since she just came into existence all of a sudden. She didn't even really have a body at first, but then soon one materialized and there she was. There was so much about growing up and childhood that she had seen at a distance throughout the many eons of time that were always going through her head all at once, but actually experiencing it firsthand with children of her own was even better. She smiled as she floated home, wondering what Kai had been up to all day. She hadn't exactly told him that she had gotten a job as a security guard at the school, only that she had gotten a job and would be gone for most of the day. She also hadn't told him that she had reactivated her goddess/time powers to do so. They had agreed to stay human for a while, but the job kind of required more than just what her human form was capable of. It wasn't a big deal if she just kept to using her powers while on the job right? That seemed to be fine, as she would still be human around him and the kids. That way she wasn't technically breaking their agreement, right? She was lost in thought about that as well as enjoying the float home so much that she had made it inside without thinking, completely forgetting to turn back to human before entering the house.

"Honey! I'm ho-" she started, realizing that she walked into the kitchen where Kai was. It was only then that she realized, standing in front of her boyfriend to whom she promised to stay human for a while for, that she was greeting him as a fully restored goddess of time, with a form that he hadn't even seen before. She recoiled a bit, completely forgetting in the moment that she could just rewind time to before she entered the house and change back into a human. "H-hi... Honey..." she nervously smiled, pretending in that moment that nothing was amiss, though her reaction had totally given it away that she knew she had fucked up. Oopsies.

Roman Roman

Elliot stared back at her for a bit, awkwardly moving his gaze away from her after a moment. "Elaena? She texted me earlier. She went for a walk then met up with a friend." He answered with a sigh his expression turning a bit more serious as he spoke "I do hope she's ok though, said friend is the God of Chaos from what she tells me. Can't say I'm too happy with her keeping such unpredictable company. She assures me he's a nice guy but I don't know. Elaena trusts people way to easily..." He said shaking his head.
"God of Chaos... Hm... Ansom. A father of my friend. He is a good guy but since my friend had issues with him, she gave me a negative impression about him. But it's probably because of family issues. I don't think there's anything to worry about if it's your sister." She said before she sat up slowly. She then realized she hasn't talked to her friend in a long time. The friend she was talking about was named Yuki. "I haven't talked to her in awhile now that I realize it."

Roman looked around a bit right after they appeared in front of the school gates. It looked different... Or rather new. Maybe because Roman hasn't been around in so long having his own business to take care of these days. Sighing a bit, he shook his head, and took out his cellphone. He dialed Taylor who he had told to come open the gates so he and Masahi don't trigger any alarms or something. Just as Masahi began to speak and motion for Roman to lead him through, the gate doors opened and Roman motioned for Masahi to follow.

"My clones would be more than enough to protect her, but I think I'll keep her out of it instead. She's just a young girl and I don't want anyone harmed by the enemy. It'd leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rather send my own son. But this is something I'm not going to trust them with."

Roman said, smiling a bit, which wasn't hard to notice since he's grown the habit of closing his eyes when he smiled. He had all the confidence in the world in not just his kids, but the next generation as a whole. Some of them seemed pretty promising. He looked at and chuckled.

"You know... These kids will be doing something like this in their future... Seeing how a lot of them are already this old and well are probably more capable than some of our own just makes me feel old, y'know? Once attending this school as a student and now my own son and daughter doing the same? Its not just the feeling of being old that I get, but of achievement."

He then stopped talking before the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Sorry... I'm rambling about my kids again... Yeah, I can be that kind of dad sometimes. Anyways, where should I take you first?"
As Masahi looked around the entrance of the school it occurred him that he had never actually had a reason to be at or near a school in the past decade or so. Which would seem odd given he was in his early twenties, but things didn't turn out as planned. Really, nothing did, but that was the past and he had to focus on making a better future now that he couldn't fulfill his ambition. In all actuality, he had been ready to use Kamui to phase through the gate, but Roman had someone else open it. After that, he followed a few steps behind Roman.

"While I respect your decisions, I must ask you, Roman, what good are pieces that you can't move? I understand better than anyone that it can be bad to have ties with myself, but if you don't let those able to move do so, you're only making harder on them when they have no other choice but to do so."

Masahi spoke with his emotions on the back burner, letting his logic talk. While Roman was smiles, Masahi had frowned. You could have all the power in the world, but experience was the true gold standard when it came to these things. Without it, anyone could fail, no matter how promising. He could help but sigh.

"Roman, I don't, no, I can't understand that. We're in our twenties and how your kids have rapidly grown is beyond me. More so how they're somehow more capable than you, if that's the case, then you've weakened. Maybe it's because you've had your clan: your family, and your friends that you can feel that achievement, but I've been on my own, nobody I could trust, and I did try. I was simply stuck in a world of predators, where it was eat or be eaten."

He'd huff at Roman's ramblings, but Masahi just assumed he was nostalgic for the school.

"It's fine, I guess. Just... just don't forget we've seen this world in different ways since back then. As for where to go, where do you think they could easily set up base?"

Elaena nodded and went to the cabinet opening it up she reached up to pull out the colander, standing on her tip toes for a moment to reach it. Taking the colander she went ahead and reached for the pot with the pasta in it straining the water out into the sink slowly, not wanting to make a mess.
Ansom watched as Elaena strained the noodles. When she was finished, he grabbed the colander filled with them and poured the noodles back into the pot, now free from the water. He reached to a top cabinet and pulled down two ceramic plates. He used a large spoon to scoop out noodles and put a scoopful on each plate. He then used a ladle to pour sauce over the noodles before placing a breaded chicken breast on each plate and adding more sauce. Ansom walked over to the refrigerator and opened it, pulling out a container of parmesan cheese. He sprinkled the white cheese over each plate and then returned the container to the fridge. "There we go." He gave a small smile to the girl next to him and then handed her a plate. "Try it and tell me what you think. Don't be afraid to be brutally honest with me." He laughed and stuck out his tongue.

Gail nodded about the landfill islands. "It is a shame, truly, but I don't hold it on people. We humans by nature are fairly short sighted, and often fail to see the consequences of our actions. Whether it be plastic and metal refuse in these times, or deforestation or over-hunting in my time, it's all the same." Gail, while she was heavily disappointed by big corporations dumping everything wherever they saw fit, she had lived long enough to know that there was little she could about it. Kings have always ruined the lands around them, and just because these kings don't wear crowns and instead wear suits doesn't change that fact. Besides, there were plenty of people actively trying to save the planet, so she could rest in peace easily enough.

Gail sighed as Ren continued on, not out of boredom or impatience, but out of relief. Relief that, despite who she was, Ren still thought good of her. Today, there is tonnes of media and bad press about ghosts and ghouls, and how they want to eat your soul or whatever, and Gail had been on the end of that sharp stick. Perhaps that was why she spent the last five centuries wandering around the globe with no real goal - it certainly did her little good to stay in one place. She was relieved that Ren, despite what everyone else saw, could see her as what she used to be - a person. Someone with feelings, loves, hates, regrets. He had proven this many times over, but it still made her smile. She chuckled as Ren apologised about his dead comment - to be honest, she didn't mind Ren saying it. She didn't know why, but she suspected it was friendship. Like when two old war veterans joke on with each other about being shot, she was glad that Ren could see something so negative about her in a positive way.

As Ren finished speaking, Gail giggled alongside Ren's laughing. Sighing, now content, she looked into the lake. "You know, ten years ago this lake had trash everywhere on it - plastic floating on the surface, metal cans at the bottom, refuse at the banks. I came here that first night I arrived here, and decided that, if I was going to try and find a way to die - to truly die - I was wanting to leave something behind for those who came here. No-one knew who I was, and I came here at night anyways, but eventually I managed to get this lake clean again. It was long work, but I had time. Time was always something that I had in excess, so I decided to spend it on something good and productive, for a change." As Gail finished, she reached for Ren's hand. "Have you ever been in the centre of a lake? I suppose you haven't, since you can't float like a ghost, but it's so wonderful. Despite the fact that everyone can see you, they can never see you properly - it's simply too far away. That middle ground between solitude and public attention...it can be relaxing. Not to mention the calmness out there."
Ren couldn't do anything but agree with Gail on this matter. Looking out towards the lake once more, he could only imagine what this place would look like with such filth covering it. He was happy that he wasn't able to witness it, and honestly very grateful for what Gail did for this place. It sounded like it was in dire need of a clean up... And she did just that. Once he finished admiring the lake, he looked over to Gail, and just as he did, she asked him if he's ever been to the center of a lake. Raising a brow, he shook his head no, but he was obviously intrigued. Ren soon placed his hand in Gail's after she reached for his.

He chuckled and soon spoke right after, "I'm assuming this gonna be like a little field trip for me. You'll take me to see the bottom of the lake, experience much like you have?" Ren asked, taking off his glasses, and looking them over. He then put them back on and sighed, "But I'm not all to sure if I can actually breathe under water or anything. I guess this is as good as any opportunity to find out." He added. "Especially since I'm with someone I trust with my very life. N-No pun intended there." Ren always felt like he'd say something offensive. He didn't know why... Maybe it was him just being protective over his friend's feelings, and trying his best not to hurt them or anything. After all, something like that was a fear for him. Hurting others. It'd definitely hurt if he was to upset Gail. "So... What are we gonna do? Head down there?"
