Lumina

...♤Lumina was sniffling, trying hard to control the tears that kept falling despite her internal protests. Feeling Kenji's hand on her cheek almost made her cries turn into sobs, and but at the same time it made her feel a little better to feel his hand on her skin, and she looked up at him, and it looked like he was about to speak. What would he say, really? It was her fault that everything had happened, she was the one that got captured, the one that ran off once she had come back... what could be said? But just as he was about to speak, Kenji's attention snapped somewhere else, and Lumina blinked, noticing he was looking somewhere in the room. Moments later and Kenji wasn't laying next to her anymore, and a quick scan around the room showed Kenji to be... standing in front of the wardrobe? What reason could he have for that? Wait... who's there? Was there someone... in the wardrobe? That seemed odd. When Kenji turned back and returned back to bed, Lumina was just kind of staring at him with a confused expression, tears still hanging in her eyes. Her gaze followed her pair as he returned to sit next to her, his words hitting home as he spoke them. Lumina sniffled a bit, wiping the remaining tears from her eyes as she sat her posture more upright to match his. He was right, it's not like she could change the past or anything, but... it still didn't erase the guilt she felt for all that she had done. Her eyes fell from Kenji's to her lap as she responded, her voice soft but clearer than it was before♤...
"I just... I didn't want to hurt you anymore. I remember what happened at the hospital, the look on your face... and how you reacted when I finally came back to being me... all of it was my fault. Getting kidnapped. Dying. And disappearing and nearly dying again... I couldn't bear to hurt you anymore. That's the last thing I want."
