Some people these days are rather sensitive. I understand that some people are. But I don’t like going as far as imprisoning people for jokes or something they say. I think legislating what people can and can’t say is a really dangerous precedent. It discourages freedom of expression, and freedom of ideas to flow. It tells people what they can and can’t think, also. I want people I wholeheartedly disagree with to be able to say what they want. I want to hear opposing points of view from mine. I don’t want people to not be able to say what they feel, how they feel, or make jokes that some might be upset with.

Though I’m pretty happy with US federal law when it comes to freedom of speech. So thankfully, I have nothing to worry about here on a legal level with anything I say.

But she doesn’t care I eat meat or that I hunt. She doesn’t care at all. I think it’s the militant vegans that are the issue, really.
