Fantasy The Dark World (rp)

Ryuji Nakamoto

Ryuji was happy to see Snow getting along with the others and smiled to Sera as she put the girl on her shoulders. "I'm trusting her to you opal. Don't betray me." He smirked before climbing up into the trees. He liked being higher up, plus being the only shirtless male there made him feel like a show-off, that wasn't exactly something he wanted. Moving from branch to branch, Ryuji felt like he was at home once again. New-Asia had plenty of jungles that had mutated like this. The bamboo forests were his personal favorite. The way they moved and bent in the wind despite now having interconnecting branches and spines, it was a perfect hide away. There was a breeze and clean air and despite this forest blocking out his view of the sky, it was the freedom he'd come to appreciate so dearly. "So ivy, this is your home huh? It's nice." He called down as he kept close to them. His hands and feet moving seamlessly as he traversed the woods. "I could see myself retiring to a place like this someday." He chuckled as he hung down from one of the branches to look back at the group. "Look, if the kid tries to run," Ryuji murmered to the pair. "I'll chase him down. Whether he's got some sneaking ability or not. It's my job as an assassin to never let him get away." He wouldn't let snow see his dark side again, as promised. But he already told her he'd still use it.

Rose Valencia

"Enjoy the thorny paths!" Rose called out to the bitch as she walked away, thankful that such a problematic person wasn't staying within the group. Despite her desires to just go off on her own, Rose thought that a free guide was better than getting lost or having to fight her way through the last town. She started humming again as she walked along behind the group. The cheery song obviously out of place with the serious mood going on. "So, Snow was it?" Rose walked backwards as she looked to the pair with scrutinizing eyes. "What EXACTLY does your power do. I doubt it inflicts such pain on its host for no reason." Rose's curiosity took the better grip of her judgement and sense of tact. She wanted answers, and that was something she'd get, one way or another.

Kore Dair
Kore rolled her eyes. They were being so empathetic with someone who, at the slightest chance, would ruin each and every one of them. "Then you had better find an alternative.", she said curtly to Jackson, before raising an eyebrow. Was this Ryuji really swinging in the branches of her friends?? Neither she, nor the trees, were happy about this.
Without a word or even a pause in her step (although she did check no one was below him), the branches Ryuji held onto with oh-so-much trust, and all the branches surrounding him instantly all turned into floppy noodles. They lost all substance and any grip, the bark becoming slick like, well, a noodle. She smirked, wondering how this very relaxed seeming male would take it.

Patrick was lighting his second cigarette when Keiji came up to hm with the newspaper clipping, yeah kid I saw it, he muttered while motioning for Keiji to quickly hide it, but lets keep whats on that paper between us for now, we don't know how much we can trust these people. The soldier cast a quick glance over the rest of the group, he didn't like the idea of going with them, he didn't know anything past the profiles he'd built on them, and frankly every last one of them could be a threat to Keiji. He was even less happy about the apparent decision to follow a girl who could control trees through a forest, everything about staying with this group screamed bad idea to the experienced soldier, but there was the girl, Scarlett, to consider.

Patrick had already decided, much to his own irritation, the girl was coming with him. He had taken on the responsibility to protect and care for the girl, not to mention the effect she could have on Keiji. The kid needed a friend near his own age, he couldn't just spend all his time with a grumpy old soldier, and it was Patrick's hope that helping the girl with her own problems could bring Keiji out of his shell completely, and the girl seemed to have decided that the hunter was hers.

He blew another large puff of smoke as he met Scarlett's eyes, eyes so full of both determination and anxiety that it broke the old mans heart, fine you can bring him, he sighed, but he's your responsibility whether he lives or dies is up to you. With that said Patrick patted the girl's head and moved to his and Keiji's pack, which he promptly tied together and hefted on to his back, god Scarlett's spear was heavy! He then made his way to Scarlett again walking around until he could see the hunters face, he removed the kids hat and grabbed a handful of his hair not so gently lifting his head up so that he would come eye to eye with Patrick.

Apparently the girl here has decided that you need to live, he stated in an oddly monotone voice, I'm not sold on the idea yet, so hears what your gonna do. Your gonna stay real quite and real still and if ether of these kids gets so much as a hang nail no amount of hiding, no mater how fast or who you run to, I will track you down and Break you. Everything you know and love will rot and die right in front of you and your death will be so painful that it'll felt by everyone who even smiled at you on the street...am I clear, as he spoke the life seemed to leave his eyes, there was no hatred in those lifeless orbs, no anger, not even a hint of annoyance, just nothing, he had spoke like everything he had just said was already fact. Like it was a particularly boring history lesson. After a couple of seconds starring into the hunters eyes Patrick nodded and put the mans hat, back on his head.

Alright let's go kids, he said grumpily.

Swinging from the branches again after his comment, Ryuji felt like he was one with the sky. But his eyes instantly lit up as the noodles went lip. He quickly twisted his weight about, much like a cat, and landed upon all fours his eyes moving to the girl that controlled these beings. He smirked as he stood up and dusted himself off as if the fall had been nothing, in fact it really hadn't. If she'd been trying to hurt him, she probably would've had a thornbush waiting for him. No, this was her way of garnering his attention. "Oh lady Gaia, if you longed for my company a mere question was all you had to ask." He smiled before slipping beside her, the lively glint in his eyes shining bright. "Why go through making me display my talents?" A twinge cut through his right shoulder as he remembered asking someone else that back home, in a similar situation. That girl had long since forgotten him hopefully. "For a beauty such as yourself, you could ask and I'd bring down the Devil himself and bring his head as a trophy."

Scarlett O'Hare

So far the hunter had been spared. That was enough for her to feel like her words meant something. "Maybe, it's okay to talk." She muttered to herself, only loud enough that the hunter she was carrying would likely hear. You're a mutt. And mutt's don't speak. The sound of sparks filled her senses as she remembered her former master. Her grip tightened onto the hunter, likely causing him discomfort as her grip was difficult to control. "Just a mutt." She spoke to herself as her eyes went dark. She'd done so good so far. She had spoken, and even controlled the instinct to kill someone outright, but just one thought and she was back to that dark place. "Don't." Her sentences slowly deteriorated as she walked behind her new master. The tears that she wanted to let flow welling up. "Cry." Her word was a hushed whisper and she couldn't look up. Memories of electricity running through her whenever her master was dissatisfied. Scarlett had thought she could be human, but even now the grip her master had on her was still firm.

Kore Dair
Kore's eyebrow rose, as she watched him fall. She was impressed, but didn't let it show. Although she did let a little of her amused disappointment show - she had been hoping for a much less graceful landing. "Do not swing about on the branches of my friends like that. They don't like it.", she did not sound impressed, nor did she look it. But she was still lighthearted.
"I was hoping you would fall on your behind, but alas,", she cracked a grin, "It was not to be. And my name is Kore. Perhaps you could call a woman by her name for once.", she continued walking, not missing a step. As odd as it was, she was enjoying herself.
"To your earlier question. Yes, this has been my home for a little while now... Where did you come from? You don't seem...", she looked him over, completely unaffected by his shirtlessness, "Like your from here. What is the plant life like, where you're from?", perhaps this man could show her some new species. If he could describe them well enough, or even better, had samples.
There was a slight incline in their path, and Kore noted that they were getting closer to the dense undergrowth. Her powers were still not necessary to lead these people yet, but they would be. Looking up, she quickened her pace a small bit. Judging by the time, they would probably need to camp next to the willow.
As she walked, she was not oblivious to what was happening behind her, but she was keeping a close ear, listening to the trees closely so she could observe. Just in case.

Vira
Vira paused mid-step to hear 'Kore's' (-was it?) response regarding the woman leaving. She laid out her pathetic warning, causing Vira to merely roll her eyes, ultimately uncaring what she had to say. 'In circles' she said, ha, yeah, right! Vira didn't really struggle with that sort of thing. She had just paused for a mere second, already continuing to walk away; when another shouted out towards her, she was no longer within hearing distance.

The dark-haired chick had no intention of ever interacting with any of the people behind her ever again. They made her power flare up like the flu. It had been burning up beside them. Generally, her power came in the form of red flashes through her mind, indicating small dangers. Like a punch to her left, or a kick downward, to her shin. But around those people? It was a constant barrage of heat. She didn't particularly fear any of them, but they were Abnorms. Some were soldiers (and Abnorms at the same time), and yet others had gang connections. None of them were smart to stick around. Then there were those like Snow and Kore, with dubious powers that could prove to be quite a hassle to deal with. She didn't know what Snow, in particular, could do, but she certainly could feel a strong burning 'danger' warning coming from her. She was one of the more dangerous ones of them, Vira could feel that within her. It was an odd feeling, and thought. Rarely did someone give off such a vibe of danger. It was like Snow's abnormality was considerably more dangerous than anyone else's there. That's all she could think of what such a reaction her power had to the seemingly-timid girl; it was always the quiet, sheepish ones, wasn't it???

Well... no. Not really. The man who she used to call 'father' was like that. The Devil burned her bad inside from the levels of 'danger' he gave off.

Anyway, it was this power of hers that made Vira know none of Kore's warnings meant jack shit to her. 'Getting lost' wasn't a worry. Not for Vira. Her power considered 'getting lost' as a 'danger'. So it was like she had a map in her own mind. Certainly she couldn't 'see' or 'read' this 'map', but instead instinctively navigated the forest. It was like she had a line painted in front of her, and not a single one of her foot falls landed on a branch, on a thorn, or even on a root. Or it was like she was on auto-pilot, expertly walking the forest like she had been through it a million times. She probably could navigate this place easier than Kore, honestly. As long as 'danger' was registered, Vira was 'untouchable'. Hell, along this path, she'd most likely be out of the forest within half the time anyone else would.

It was how she was able to live for so long, and so easily. Abnorms tended to find their power easily reliable. Powers tended to be there for the sole reason of keeping an Abnorm alive. Take Lucca. He sucked. It was obvious by looking at him. But his abnormality actually kept him alive, by making those people forget about him that he crossed. Hell, he was a Bounty Hunter within the League. Yet, no one knew he was an Abnorm there! All because he had a power that made them ignore him, forget about him, not even consider he might have a power. Kore, too, her power helped her use this forest as both a home, and natural barrier to BHs that would possibly seek her out. Abnormalities were like that, they helped their Abnorm live. Vira's power was expert at that. 'Getting lost' simply wasn't even an option.

Snow
yui-komori-diabolik-lovers-4.95.jpg

Snow looked up at Jackson, biting her bottom lip. Up on his shoulders? No… just the thought of imposing on someone like that made her stressed. But the mean scary woman who made her blood ping went off on another yelling rant. Was she really leaving? B..but what if something happened to this Valkyrie of a woman. “You… you r-really sh-shouldn’t go off al-one.” Snow whispered, scared like a rabbit in the face of a lion… no in the face of a giant lion. A pack of lions. Yea…. Oh look… there she goes into the woods. Snow blinked and bit her bottom lip.

Yeesh... And now Kore was upset with her. “I… I suppose. But for me it is.” She looked away and at the ground. Now Kore was saying get help. Well here was Sera to the rescue. Snow yelped as she tightened the bandages, not paying Snow any attention. Her big pink rose eyes looked up at Sera as she called her brave…. Brave? Her? A blush crept up her neck as she looked away suddenly on Sera’s back. “N-no! I c-can walk I promise. Really. I’m too close to you. I… I um th-thank you b-but really this isn’t needed.”

Snow stammered out, blushing as she hid her face into Sera’s back. Kore began leading them into the woods. A few days? That would be a while… hmm. Snow hadn’t been around people that often. This trek reminded her of him… he had been traveling along a path when he had found her huddled up in some rubble. Just a girl. She sighed, banishing those thoughts. No use in thinking of that.

Oh no.. Oh no no no no. They were talking of killing him again??? WHY! The guy talking about them going in circles was right. “Stop this Kore. You can’t kill him. Please… what… what if he wasn’t a threat? On our side? I sense… it may be wrong but I think I sense abnorm in him. I usually can sense that. Please Kore. Please I’m begging to not kill him. I’ll… I’ll use my power. I… I can make him be on our side.” She didn’t mention the time limit but… well if she kept him dosed on her blood then there would be no need to mention that weakness. “Ryu?” She called out, knowing he was following their slow pace up above. “Ryu please… don’t let Kore kill him.”

Ryu said he would follow him if he ran. Maybe… maybe she wouldn’t have to use her powers. Oh god she didn’t want too… but it could be a matter of life or death. Surely life was worth it to this Hunter… right?

And now the rose girl, oh god she made Snow’s blood go off, was questioning her. Well she had brought it up… too late to go back. Secrets… well they weren’t kept long. Snow breathed in before speaking softly.

“I… I um make people want to protect me. If we perform a blood exchange. Just a drop of your blood on me, maybe a scratch a knick… if my thorns scratch you… You will need to protect me. My thorns come out when I’m scared so that way… I’m protected. They are covered in my blood and if they scratch you… well then that’s that. We’ve done a blood exchange. You will be subjected to the Blood song. It is what makes you want to protect me.”

Phrasing her power like this made her seem powerful. No need to mention the power boost. No… better leave that bit out… also the part where she gets hurt if they get hurt. Yea.. omitting wasn’t lying right? No one would bother her if they thought she was just a will changer? Right?

She looked down, her cheeks flushed. God she was horrible at omitting.

He simply followed the group as he walked, letting out a slight sigh as he listened to the conversations going on. Keeping an eye on the seeming druid walking as if she was one with the land. A thought which made him chuckle to himself as he simply did his best to forget about the woman who was, frankly...Quite rude in his opinion, though something was bothering him as he felt he was forgetting something for a moment. As he then heard the mentioning of the hunter once more. Quickly looking over as the thoughts filled his mind again, growling in annoyance how he had forgotten about such a crucial thing. As upon hearing Kore say not to swing on the branches he simply raises an eyebrow. Hearing her call them 'friends.'

Though he simply shrugs to himself once more as he jumps up into the trees...Seemingly more graceful and powerful with the jump then what should be possible, As he jumps from tree to tree while looking out over the woods...Though he failed to estimate a jump properly and nearly slams into the next tree's trunk. As he somehow managed to seem to stop midair for a moment and grab onto a thick branch, climbing quickly up onto the tree as he brushes off his jacket.

@/Everyone in the group. (Also more of a filler post to show he is alive xD Sorry there is almost no interaction at all.)

Ryuji Nakamoto

"Calling you by your name? But it lacks the impact that your beauty holds." Ryuji sighed as Kore spoke. She didn't understand his appreciation for this garden. Being a part of it, moving along it, that was what it meant to be free. He looked to the branches and the flittering glimmers of sunlight above. "Where am I from?" He debated lying to her. Nobody would believe he came from New-Asia. Heck, he didn't believe that the kid could've teleported him across the planet either, but poof, he wound up on the shore of New-America two weeks ago. "Would you believe it if I said that I came from New-Asia?" He said it casually and without his usual peppy insertion. Serious answers couldn't hold that flirtatious tongue. "As for plant life, it varied." Ryuji closed his eyes as he continued to walk along side Kore. Feeling the presence of her beside him meant he could walk without fear.

"My favorite would have to have been the bamboo forests. Of course, they had long since mutated when I was trained in them." Ryuji's smile returned quickly as he remembered. "The tall hollow trees had grown wild since their exposure. They grew spines along the main trunk. These spines shone crimson under the moonlight and were poisonous to the touch. Though the poison wasn't lethal, it wreaked havoc on your organs." Ryuji chuckled as he remembered a painful experience. "I remember my master having me drink some of the poison to see if my body could heal after the damage it caused. He was shocked that after a month, I was drinking the stuff like water. My body had continuously healed and eventually built up its own antidote." Ryuji's eyes opened as he thought about his training. "But the trees also had these sturdy branches that connected the trees together like a nerve network. Each tree acting as a receptor and feeding the others when nutrients were scarce. It was a marvel to witness." Ryuji continued to fantasize as the girl came back to his mind. "I really hope she's moved on." Ryuji muttered to himself before looking to Kore. "Sorry, did I bore you with my monologue?"

Rose Valencia

The power to bend wills in an exchange of blood. A parasitic relationship? Very few powers I've ever heard of having that kind of effect on another. Rose watched as the girl looked away. "Well, I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that. But I have a feeling the red-head or the medic here will play hero I try to get the full truth." Rose partially lowered her glasses. "But know that they can't keep you safe forever hun." She said this in a sickeningly sweet tone as she turned back to the front of the group. She wanted to torment the hunter some more, but that was a no go and the three at the front would easily overpower her. "Such a boring trip. She may have been a bitch, but at least that dark haired girl kept things lively." Rose sighed as she pulled out a rebuilt music device from her pocket. "Trinket, wish you were here." She muttered, sliding in the ear pieces that her friend had fixed. With the ability to repair tech so long as he had the pieces, Trinket was nearly invaluable to The Devil's Rejects. She was really glad to have him as the quiet plucking of violin strings began to fill her ears. The hum that followed along to its tune, whisking the girl off to her own world of imagination.

Kore Dair
Kore just rolled her eyes at his first comment, and listened intently to the next.
"No, it was interesting. Hollow... Trees?", she was very confused. Trees contained all sorts of things inside them... How was this 'bamboo' hollow? "How? Trees aren't hollow.... Some plants can be, but...", her brows furrowed in confusion. "Yes, I believe you about where you came from... And the network, that I can understand.", she smiled.
"But.... No, they can't be trees.", she said a little hesitantly, shaking her head.
"What does it taste like? How-", she cut off, looking behind her.
"Please don't climb up in the trees.". God, it's like speaking to children...
"Ahem, how does it grow?"
, she looked back, a little ruffled. "What colour is it? What does it feel like? Give me something to work with here...", she whined by the end. This sounded like a really cool plant, and she really wanted to know more about it. Maybe even replicate it if she could.
Her ears perked up at the conversation behind her, but she stayed quiet. Hmmm, so it wasn't poison. Although Kore felt that Rose was right, it sounded like there was more to it. And she certainly didn't trust this girls power enough to let her just do whatever. Especially if this hunter was an abnorm.... But he couldn't be, it was a ridiculous notion.

He simply sighs for a moment as he drops down from the tree. Looking at Kore once more as he lands, glancing around the group as he decides to walk up to the group involving the hunter. Though he noticed the cords that lead into Rose's ears. Simply raising an eyebrow as he twitches his hand slightly as he brings them into his jacket pockets. An earbud falling out as he examined it quickly. Before returning his attention fully to walking once more. As he decides to say something once again. "So anyone have any idea of what's going on around outside of town that one may need to keep an eye out...? Also I'm seriously getting mixed vibes about this...Hunter. Are we going to kill him or let him live? Because we are getting many different opinions on it."

ZEPHY XENOS
2a7908494166d591511a24e1ab3162e5.jpg

As per Zephyr style he wandered away from the man he was talking to, guy just looked at him and said nothing so Zephyr decided to run off in hopes he could get to the next town on his own. He was wrong. Now he was wandering around a forest and it was getting really dark, he had no idea what was going on and had no idea where he was going. Some guys from the previous town told him to go into the forest and keep walking north till he reached the other town. There were many problems with what they told him. A- Zephyr had no idea what way north was, B- They sent him into a forest, C- he tripped and was now all sorts of confused. Zephyr was now in the middle of a forest further wounded and had no idea where north was. This already sucked. He decided to do the only thing an insane person would do, try to ask the sky "SKY, I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW WHERE NORTH IS, or any of the others really, BUT I NEED YOUR HELP. SEND OUT YOUR FINEST SIGN ON WHICH WAY NORTH IS." Zephyr says yelling at the sky. Of course he got no answer, he was trying to talk to an ozone layer.

He really wondered if those guys were screwing with him just to make him leave. Zephyr just needed directions, not a one way trip to starvation town with him on board. He continued to wander hitting himself off multiple trees and tree branches and trying to talk to every animal or stick he found hoping he would eventually find one that spoke in his tongue, most ran. Not the sticks of course, they just sat there and endured his mad talk. He eventually found one he really liked and was now carrying a stick he called Reginald. He believed that if he spun and chucked the magic stick that it eventually would lead him the right direction. Sadly he was just throwing the stick around and circles and was getting nowhere. This man had quite the active imagination.

Presently he was trying to climb a tree, every time he would jump though he would just slide back down the tree so ll he was really doing was wearing down his pants and probably putting fear in any wildlife that was around because it looked like he was grinding on the tree. His stomach growled and he yearned for water but he swore that until he climbed this tree he would not be able to drink his water. He was really dead set on climbing the tree. He had quite the arsenal of tricks to get up it too. He tried many a thing, like trying to ascend the ground to bring him to the top, or by trying to do a flip into it. As you can imagine that one ended the worst. He even tried sweet talking the tree into giving him a ride to the top. Boy was he going crazy. But as said previously, he gave up all tricks and was just trying to climb it, he was bleeding by the way, but ignored that and the sound of people in the distance. His intense drive was drowning them out.

Lucca Malchovich
Location: Forest

And so, Lucca was carried off, his say in this matter completely irrelevant to these people. And why would they, he's a Bounty Hunter and they're Abnorms, everyone know they're each other's "natural enemies", as some may put it. Sure, Lucca has no intention of killing them, but they can never be sure of that. Actually, he's surprised that they even let him live this long, though it seem like they could still change their minds and kill him any time, like that tree lady who had been really, really mean, or that old timer that just made some real scary threats, but one would suppose that's just something a gang boss would say. But you know what, it's Abnorms like these, the ones that kill so readily, the ones that ruins people's lives and properties and then walks away like nothings happened, never paying for what they've done while playing the victim as they say the world was oppressing them and they go around trampling other with their powers. While it's true the world had not been kind to then, Lucca isn't going to deny that, but that does not give them rights to hurt others. It's Lucca's job to bring these kind of people to justice, to make sure remuneration is payed for their actions.

"Don't...... Cry..."

Those words called for his attention, and of all people, it was the one carrying him, the little girl with colossal strength, Scarlett "the Dog". His head, the only think still able to move turned to see her, wondering why she would say that, certainly, it isn't about him, he's not crying, though he certainly feel like he might. Instead, it was her that's crying. Yeah, the world isn't kind to Abnorms, Lucca gets that, but he also understands why. Many of them are powerful, and scary to the common folks, heck, they're scary even to Bounty Hunters. They are feared for their powers because they could do whatever they want and on one could stop them. Which is why, which is why there should be people who could stop them, people who could stop their wrong doings so that the others need not fear the powerful, and perhaps then they'll all get along better. As a bounty hunter, Lucca thought that it would be nice to be one of those people who could do that... but well, he has to get out of this alive first.

Jackson chuckled at Kore's remark, He was about to reply, but was interrupted by Ryuji jumping down from the tree branches. So he simply tagged along and listened silently as the two talked. "Ryuji speaks the truth here Kore, Bamboo's quite a resilient plant from what I've read about it. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong Ryuji, but it comes in yellow, green, and pink bamboo. Also that's an interesting test of your abilities from your master it seems. Makes you really take to heart the phrase, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Given the way you dress, and your attitude, I'd say you seem to not be from around here and quite possibly be a foreigner." turning back to Kore, Jackson continued "But Kore, I don't think I'll get a chance to find an alternative with you, but maybe that isn't a bad thing. Perhaps you have the drive to do things I can't do and perhaps its a result of how your birth, and Ryuji's for that matter, different greatly from my own.

Snow
latest

Snow looked to the pink haired girl with a small frown. The hair on her arms stood at attention and she felt the urge of her thorns wanting to come through. Shoot… She went limp and twisted so as to fall off of Sera’s back before the thorns came out again. They were small this time, just poking holes as she whimpered, breathing unevenly. Couldn’t keep her safe? Her blood sang to her. There was someone who could. Who if she powered… well it would also keep him safe. The man who kept complaining, who had been jumping up and things spoke. Kill him or not…

“No. We are not killing him. I’ve made up my mind.” She said, panicked still by Rose. She quickly stood and went to Scarlett, the small girl holding Lucca. She looked at him. At the girl and the boy and the man who had given her bandages. They… they seemed a bit distracted. Lucca made her blood sing, announcing power. She was almost certain he was an Abnorm.

“I… I am sorry for doing this but y-you’ll live. I’ll protect you as you will protect me. I promise it won’t hurt much. Just… just after let me explain the rules privately okay? I… I don’t want you to die. I don’t want any blood on any of these people’s hands. Again… I’m sorry.”
She raised her arm, thorns poking out of everywhere. She quickly stuck him in the shoulder with her arm, a thorn going in… exchanging blood.
She felt a part of her, call it spirit, chi, life force, soul, energy, or power, go into him and a bit of him float inside of her. They had Blood Share. They were linked… and whatever his abnorm was… well it was about to enhance for the next eight hours.

Turning around she faced the group, biting her lip as her eyes flashed red. “H-he cannot be killed or you kill a bit of me. S-so keep that in m-mind.” She said weakly, her eyes searching for Ryu or Sera or hell even Jackson. Surely… surely they would make sure she wasn’t hurt in one of these peoples way to the Hunter.

Vira had made insanely good time. She was wayyyy passed where Kore probably assumed she would've ever made it to in this wild wood. Thanks all in part to her ridiculous ability at sensing danger. As long as it was dangerous, her power sensed it. Yes.. yes that meant there were constant flashes bombarding her mind at any one second. Constant. Like the sun itself. It was a headache and a half, but ever since youth it had been that way. So, since youth, she had lived with it. She had struggled with her power. To tone it down, tone it out, anything. She was definitely better with it, but it still bothered her. Why do you think the darkhaired chick drank so much? It helped ease the mind and calm her frizzled nerves.

She was drinking even now, walking down the allotted safe path. At this stage, the forest had grown wildly. So she had to make careful steps, with a path that was no longer 'safe'. This was the safest one her mind would grant her. Knife in hand (this didn't warrant her sword), she sliced at branches in her way, cutting them down. She hacked and hacked, pulling and brushing aside overgrowth. After a swig and a chop, she lowered her canteen, and raised her hand with the knife, running it across her lips to wipe them. "Haa... phew. Shit," she cursed out, feeling a bit of fatigue set in. Perhaps she should've been drinking water to stay hydrated. Perhaps that was the loud blaring siren in her head. Hey, just cuz she had a power that alerted her to danger, didn't mean a bitch like Vira always heeded it! She needed some water. Glancing around, she 'put in a new destination on her GPS'. Fresh water. She had to center where her mind was telling her to go, before her feet carried her a new path. Along this path, Vira capped her canteen and placed it back on her hip, groaning inwardly at herself. She really wanted more booze...

Sera only smiled at Snow's words. She knew more or less the situation Snow is in. Being a new recruit with little outstanding athletic merits, Sera herself had to steel her nerves in the barracks. It's an unforgiving and ruthless world and its inhabitants are no different. Showing weakness is akin to that of showing your neck, and here was this person trying to stand up for herself, well, before Sera took over the standing part. It was truly admirable to Sera.

Being in a forest this massive (relative) was somewhat of a new experience for Sera. Careful of any sudden dips, holes and other uneven terrain, she moved at a comfortable pace alongside the group, laughing softly as Ryuji acrobatically landed on the ground.

A new conversation, that wasn't related to a person's life, sprouted up: bamboo. Sera wasn't much of a plant person, though she vaguely remembers some stuff from the books she had read in the past. It was interesting to see all the different species: long, wide, sturdy, flexible, etc.

"I'm certainly glad that you have a tough stomach. Certainly one way to develope one's immunity, though I really can't approve of that." Sera mused. "Say, is there any bamboo here?"

It took a moment for her to realize what was happening exactly, being a little zoned out due to the new environment. Snow had all of a sudden fell off her back! Before Sera could adjust, Snow had already rushed over to the captive hunter, and poked him with her thorns.

"S-Snow? What are you--? Before Sera finished, Snow already made her decision. She stood in front of them all, defiantly opposing the death of the captive.

Giving a little sigh, Sera closed her eyes momentarily and gave a laugh. "Well, it can't be helped." Sera elbowed Jackson before walking over to Snow's side and patting her head. "There's your alternative solution. See? This Hunter is now one of us! Surely, he's indebted to Snow for giving him a chance to live. And he is going to pay that debt, wholeheartedly." Sera gave a look to the hunter as she said the last words.

Finally, after the amount of time it had taken her to gather some supplies, Jess had readjusted her hood. Looking ahead as she left the market, a medium bag of supplies carrying dried food and the like slung over her like a backpack, Jess let out an extended sigh. Not being able to use her hands was one thing, but the added near impossible task of hiding her abnormality to those around her, and prevent herself from damaging the surrounding area, it was all extremely tedious. "At least I won't have to bother another for quite some time." She thought to herself, nodding slightly as she did so, stumbling out toward the woods once more.

Standing at the edge of the forest, Jess stood for a short moment taking it in. Something like this was a rare sight in this wasteland, even if the woods were overrun by mostly weeds and brambles, it was still better than the nothingness she was used to. As she took a step forward however, nature itself began to recoil at her presence, the sudden shift in climate causing them to wilt. A short moan of displeasure escaped her mouth as she realised this, again her abnormality showing it only had the potential to end life, never again would she be able to nurture it. Regardless, she needed to use the cover of the forest, as long as she continued to move before finding a clearing no 'permanent' damage should be caused.

A few minutes in, she noticed a large collected group, the bar patrons seemed to be together, with a prisoner. Glancing toward the young man they held captive, she could not decide if she had seen him before, not that it mattered, it wasn't her business, and getting involved with such a large group was never beneficial. It caused her to think, earlier it didn't seem like they were together, so what could have changed? How could they trust one another so easily, so soon?

It soon became somewhat clearer why they held the man captive, as a bunch of files flew through the wind, one slamming straight into Jess's face. Taking her claws from her pockets, she attempted to grab what now blinded her, causing it to freeze like a crisp and shatter before long. Observing those that littered the ground, she couldn't help but have her attention consumed by one. It was a picture... Of her? From when her hair was a natural brunette, with green eyes and tanned skin, below it was a footnote.
May appear far more malnourished than picture, possible bleaching of hair, skin, and other colours of features.

Jess stared at it in shock, she had suspected it since her 'escape', but she could still hardly believe it. Thankfully they didn't have a current description, but gazing upon her own natural figure and face could only bring a deep sadness, life was so much simpler back then, and it was taken from her without regard. Further descriptions followed below.
Abnormality present, ability unknown, suspected to correlate with water.

Jessica continued to stare, did they base their suspicion on how she escaped? She still didn't even know how she did it, the more she learnt, it seemed, the more questions arose.
Last seen...
The wind continued to blow. "Woh!" She exclaimed to the lifeless paper as if it would stop it, instinctively attempting to grab it with her hand, the frozen tip of her claw almost instantly freezing it, and as she attempted to bring it up to read, it too shattered.
A frown grew on her. "Stupid!" She thought to herself, how could she make such a mistake!? It seemed that she was definitely still on the run, maybe this bounty hunter knew more, but generally it seemed the scum just followed orders without morality. She would need to keep moving, if he saw her, it could only get worse.

Lucca Malkovich
Location: Forest

Lucca was just hanging there, carried by a little girl as his body was completely limp and unmovable. He was right now thinking of the way to not die, or at least, die in the least painful manner possible. It was then, a girl approached him, someone he did not have that much of an impression on, she was a girl of red eyes and locks of pale gold, a kind of girl that he don't see often in a gang, at least not willingly. Poor girl, he thought, knowing that there are gang who forces Abnorms with outstanding powers into their ranks.

Lucca's eye widen as the girl before him utter those words. She seemed afraid, cornered, and it is when people are cornered that they do the craziest things, Abnorms and regular humans alike.

"What..." Lucca was cautious as he spoke, having just been warned about making a sound, "What are you...?"

But Lucca had no chance to verify what was going to be done to him before he was frozen by the sight of thorns growing from the girl's limb, and when she stuck one into his flesh, he feared for the worst. He felt something entering him, he was not sure what is was, but it was alien and...... pleasant. In his head, a soft tune began playing, no, not a tune, a song.

“H-he cannot be killed or you kill a bit of me. S-so keep that in m-mind.”

Before Lucca could even get a grasp of the situation, that girl went on ahead and announced such a thing to the rest of her gang, apparently trying to protect him with methods that was not yet clear for him. But for some reason, when the girl spoke out, he felt worry, worry that the gang would be as ruthless as many others he had come across, worry that they may not care about hurting the girl to get what they want. He does not know why he cares for this girl so much so suddenly, but he knew he had to do something, or at least, he wanted to, but at his current state, there was nothing he could do but pray, pray that they had not took notice of her, after all, if it was he that had spoken out in such a weak voice and tone, no one would pay him any mind, so if possible, he had hoped that she was even a bit like him, and prayed that the others had something more important to focus on.

It wasn't long before Viktor had arrived at the village up north where the local bar was. There was a gathering in front of the tavern, people slowing their paces and waving their heads to and fro. It is human nature after all to be nosy. But how ever big this crowd is, they were soon to be separated by a unstoppable force.

"Out of way, Viktor coming through!" His big ass hands slaps him and his pet fox a path as they come before the tavern just to have his jaw drop out of awe struck. What the hell happened here? This place wasn't just "wrecked", it was obliterated! Like a comic, the only thing left of the front half of this tavern was the door frames. Inside the tavern laid a few injured men and the owner was prancing about, muttering to himself, he couldn't decide between blaming someone, calling the authorities, crying, or simply slamming his head on the counter.

There isn't another choice is there? Viktor decided to approach the owner and ask some questions. He tried walking in through the front door but as soon as he does, his wide shoulders got caught between the door frames and it broke clean off from its base and fell inward. "What are you doing!?" The owner yelled at Viktor. "Can't you see that this place is already in shambles!?" "Eeeeeh... Sorry?" "SORRY DOESN'T CUT IT!" The owner's voice cracked, he's breathing heavily on the verge of a mental breakdown. "What do you want!?" he then continued, trying his best to keep on to his sanity.

"Oh! Viktor is bounty hunter! Heard there are filthy abnorms down here. Have you seen any?"
"Seen any!? Look around you, my place of business was destroyed by a bunch of abnorms. If there's anything I'm NOT seeing, it's the bounty hunters doing their work, AND APREHENDING THOSE CRI~MINALS"

The owner's voice cracked once more. Viktor isn't gonna dilly dally any further, he was eager to pump some lead into an abnorm's skull. "Where did abnorm go?" He asked, but the owner seemed to be surprise by this. "You're actually gonna go after them?" There was a seed of doubt within the owner's mind, after all, it was a large group of abnorms that did this to his tavern. "I've seen the heading towards the forest. Don't go getting yourself killed now, it was a large group of them that were here." A final word of warning before the bounty hunter left off. "Don't be worrying, Viktor kill abnorm many time."

With those reassuring words, Viktor left the tavern, not before picking up his pet fox that have just been sitting outside staring deep into the eyes of some of the passerby. Now they head towards the forest, hoping to catch up to this vicious gang of abnorms.

Kevin simply continued to walk as he noticed a few flyers drift by him. Paying them no mind as he noticed movement in the side of his vision. Quickly looking over as he watched snow run up to the 'prisoner' as he watches a thorn pierce the clothing and be
'injected' into him. Causing his curiosity to spike as he looks towards where the wound would have been. Failing to truly notice how bad the wound is should it have stuck around. Though he simply shrugs as he noticed a faint voice over in the distance. Growling softly as he simply started to become more alert to his surroundings instead of trying to figure out things that had less importance at the time.

Kore Dair
It was odd, another two people had ended up in the forest... The female she had nothing to worry about, and.... What is the male doing...?
She opened her mouth to continue speaking with these people, but before she could say anything, or react to any of the people around her, her attention was taken by Snow. Kore's eyes widened, this was really bad. The trees shivered around her as her mind clouded a little, but, shaking her head and straining her mind, she stared Snow down, her voice was dead serious, Kore was horrified.
"What have you done.", it wasn't a question, but a statement. Kore was furious, and under all that, she was terrified. She knew nothing about what this woman's power could do, apart from the little she had already told them about.
What if she is able to give him some sort of enhancement? If he is willed to protect her, and she sees me as a threat? This is not good. And she already sees me as a threat, which means I'm likely to get attacked.
"If he attacks me because you see me as a threat, don't expect me to spare him.", her voice was dead and flat. This is what she got for helping people... Ugh, this is the last time. After this is over, I'm going home and never leaving.
She stared at the hunter, expecting him to lunge at her at any moment. In Kore's mind, Snow had just given him a greater incentive to attack her.
Turning on her heel, she stalked off. "All of you, stay here. And see to that new girl at the back, and sort out this mess. Don't follow me.", she said curtly as she quickly disappeared into the wood, a line of tall thorn bushes sprang up behind her as she went - a clear warning sign.

Her footsteps were silent, as she stopped behind a tree, and watched this odd creature, wounded and in a mad frenzy from what she could see now, and what the trees had told her.
She watched him for a little while longer, before speaking up. "What are you doing?", her voice was a little more menacing than she had intended it to be, a remnant of her feelings towards that group.

"What did you-?" Jackson was dumbfounded as he saw what Snow was doing. She had somehow linked the hunter to herself via thorns and blood and if he was hurt, she would be too. Clearly distressed at this development Jackson spoke, "Why, why did you do that? You've robbed him of his free will! I understand that you did it to protect both us and him, but why rob him of making his own decisions?" Placing his hand on his mask, Jackson sighed and looked back to the thorn bushes that had appeared from when Kore left. He wanted to follow her and talk with her, but Jackson decided to give her space for now. When she came back, he would try to talk with her.

ZEPHYR XENOS

Zephyr was just going crazy at this point. By the time the girl arrived he took a running start at the tree and jumped with arms and legs open. Of course that would not work, he smacked into the tree and fell to the ground yelling into the sky. Then he heard something, THE TREE WAS TALKING TO HIM. Not really, it was a girl behind him questioning his life choices. But he thought it was the tree so he talked at the tree and not her. "Oh great Tree god, you speak! I need your help. Which way is...." yeah, he forgot the way he was going. Of course he did. Now he stared off into the sky his eyes widened as he realized he had no idea where he was going. "Scratch that I am lost. I have no idea where to go. What was I doing again." He says hoisting himself up with Reginald. He then looked at the silent tree and narrowed his eyes.

I think even he thought he was going crazy at this point. After staring at the tree for a while he turned and looked right at the girl. He paused trying to decide whether or not she was a hallucination, a ghost or just someone else who was lost. "You have some cool hair. I think mines the same color but I am not sure. Does that mean we are both dead. Do you know who I am?" He says rambling a bit, each sentence sounding different like he had no idea how to communicate with other humans. Also when he said do you know who I am he did not say it in the snobby rich kid way. He said it in a really confused way as if he had no idea who he was. Spoiler he didn't.

(( FrostFire FrostFire sorry it took so long. Had to go shopping so I wrote this on my phone. Sorry if it has any typos or is not up to par with the others. I will be home soon. ))

Kore Dair
Watching him, her bad mood was almost completely dispelled. She hid a chuckle behind her hand, but became much more serious once he began to properly speak.
"Thank you... Yes, our hair colours are very similar...", she continued to examine him with those piercing green eyes.
"It's okay if you're lost... Uh, no, we aren't dead.", she tried to keep her voice as soft and kind as she could - which wasn't difficult. To her, he seemed like a bewildered animal.
"No, I don't know who you are... But perhaps we can work that out together, yes? Do you remember your name?", she said calmly, as she approached him slowly, unsure of whether he would run or lash out or stay put.
I thought we agreed not to help anyone...
She stopped once she was a little closer, and knelt down onto her knees. "You're hurt... Here.", she had noticed Sera run out of supplies, so the next best thing would have to do. She cupped her hands onto the ground, creating a dome with her hands. Concentrating, she sapped a little of her energy, and pulled her hands away, looking paler than she had before.
There, in a small cluster, was some Wooly lamb's ear, and she pulled the plant from the ground easily, taking a few of the larger leaves and putting the rest of the intact plant into her coat pocket. Rubbing and crushing the leaves, she created a paste like ball of mush from them, and held it out to the boy. "Here. Put this on your wounds...". She had already deduced that he had some sort of memory problem, which seemed quite bad. She could relate, even if her own memory problems were trivial compared to the problems he had. He cannot even remember who he is...? Poor boy.
