Fantasy The Dark World (rp)

He simply watched as Vira snapped back at first at the responses that people where giving towards working together. Though as he watched the hunter being grabbed and interrogated he simply tilts his head to the side slightly letting out a slight chuckle as he then noticed who Vira was pointing out the powers of. Feeling relatively relived as she failed to point him out with what he could do. As he looks over at Jackson nodding in agreement. "If there are abnorms...Better to keep their knowledge of existence a secret then exposing it to strangers...Long story short I agree with him." He then continues to stand in the group. Watching everything go on once more.

Ryuji Nakamoto

Ryuji was focused on the hunter, but he could still see Snow out of the corner of his eye. Fear. That's what she saw when she looked at him. It was understandable, this side of him was bred for murder and slaughter. He'd spent years under similar situations as this kid. Taking off the mask Ryuji looked at the lad. "Your life is spared today, at least by my hand." He muttered into the boy's ear before looking into the folder. Several bounty posters, tactics, even Kore had one. Rank A? I can see why. Ryuji continued to skim through them, he wasn't in there. That was good, it meant his mission was still in the clear. Add in the fact that Vira hadn't pointed him out as an abnorm and he was quite well for himself.

"Now that my business is taken care of," Ryuji slowly made his way towards Snow. "I'm sorry if you're scared by me, little lilly." He went back to calling her by the flower he chose for her. "But this world isn't as kind as it supposedly once was. Everyone has to make a choice whether they'll be the killer or the victim. In my case, the choice was made for me." No longer wishing to speak on it he sighed. "If you're still afraid of me, know this. I do everything in my power not to harm Abnorms." Ryuji sighed as his normally cheerful face became sullen. He didn't feel like flirting with Kore about how attractive her strength was nor about how seductive the darkness she hid was. That look she had given was so much like himself when he put on the mask. It was intoxicating.

Shaking himself free of his murderous thoughts, Ryuji looked about the group. Five confirmed abnorms excluding himself. One that LIKELY was an abnorm, two probable humans and a hunter that was likely dead weight. Their group was large and that would be a problem in the future if a group of hunters showed up. Snow's ability likely involved the thorns or her blood. Likely the blood from the fact that the thorns drew blood out of her. That means anemia could be a situation to deal with as well. So many risks, so many liabilities. And even at 100% it wasn't likely he could help much beyond himself. "Ugh, I hate being serious." Slipping on his mask, Ryuji's eyes once again took on their dark appearance. Kill the hunter, drops the dead weight, but if he could sneak up on us easily, then that likely means he's either trained or gifted. Could be somewhat useful. Sighing deeply Ryuji looked back to the boy, he had already said he'd spare the lad. He wouldn't go back on that. "Have no choice, gotta trust Babylon on this one." Ryuji looked to Kore. "I said it once, I'll say it again. I'm coming along." Removing his mask, Ryuji finally put the smile back on his face. "After all, following ivy here will be interesting. I'd like to see her in her element."

Rose Valencia

The drastic shift in the red headed mail was surprising, but the apology gave some answers. "If you worry about that girl's opinion of you too much, you'll get soft." She teased him playfully while walking to look at what he was doing. She peered at the bounties as the red head went through them and noticed her father and mother were on there. Of course a lot of gang leaders were, but that was besides the point. People had gotten to her family before. Grabbing the wanted flyers and sheathing her bowie knife, Rose swiftly move back to the hunter, pulled out her switchblade and grazed the flat against the boy's cheek. "So boy," Rose took off her glasses once again and stepped onto his hand that was against the ground, digging the sole of her boot into his palm. "I want to know who put up the bounties on these two, 'Big Boss' and 'The Madame.'" Rose smiled as she started to cut into his cheek. "I want ALL the information as nobody should know who those two are. Capiche?" A quick movement and what would have been one clean cult from his cheek bone to his jaw line and would heal, became two deep gashes, the aforementioned slice, but also one running from the corner of his left lip, through the first cut into the middle of his cheek. "If you don't, you're going to squeal like a little pig and then I'm going to make sure that we leave you hanging from a tree for some buzzards to eat!" Rose was furious. There was one rule in "The Devil's Rejects," nobody fucks with the family. And whomever put this bounty up did just that.

Patrick slid to a stop almost immediately after Scarlett wiggled out of his grip, he had noticed the group to, but he had also noticed that the assumed hunter from the bar was being held aloft by tree branches, and he wasn't so sure about approaching anyone who had that kind of power without knowing what was going on.

The decision was made for him though as the girl just walked over and yanked the hanging man down taking a sizable amount of branches down with him. Dam the girl had some muscle!

With an exaserbated sigh Patrick set Keiji down and dropped his pack next to a tree not to far from the group, don't worry about the name drop kid, names have power but only so long as they stay your name, he said while digging into his pockets for his cigarette case and a lighter.

He turned to the group and lit a cigarette. He didn't like to smoke in front of the kid, bad influence and all that jazz, but this situation could go south real quick and he could already feel the headache from his earlier boost ups creeping in. The nicotine helped to cool his circuts down faster and he wanted to be as close to one hundred percent as possible if a fight did kick off.

He took a few long draws before booting up his computer and walking over. He stopped just a few feet away from Scarlett and the pink haired girl to pick up the note book that had fallen out of the hunters pocket. Add to long term file, he muttered before flipping through it and saving all the information it held for later cataloging. He tossed the book aside and sighed again, the cowboy looking kid was definitely a hunter witch didn't bode well for his continued existence.

Blowing a cloud of smoke he turned to the rest of the group, might as well take this chance might not get another one, he thought as he boosted his nerons into overdrive.

The world speed back up for Patrick as his brain returned to normal functioning speed, and as the world speed up his headache came back. It was like someone had hit him in the head with a base ball bat. Over the years he had been able to increase the time he could boost up like that but it still hurt like hell.

Another long drag on his cigarette later he turned his attention back to the interrogation, he might have a bleeding fucking heart, but the kid wasn't gonna get any pitty from him.

Vira
Vira looked towards the masked man, and flashed him a knowing smirk; just proving how much of a bitch she really could be, considering the state of the world, considering what she had just said, and considering how he had called her out for her hypocrisy. Once the other man agreed, she gave a nonchalant, smarmy shrug with her hands up and out. "Heh! Just take it as truth to my words then! I'm just proving the dumb bitch can't trust anyone in this world. None of you can. You guys revealed shit to me, and then I revealed shit to a Hunter. See? Proof. You can't trust others." Her face and tone darkened, clearly she was making a point. A very poignant, valid one.

Like the others, her rustic eyes were drawn down towards the spilled papers. She sought out some specific ones. They were strewn about on the ground. Various case files, wanted posters, notes presumably the male himself made, or maybe a comrade in the LofBHs had. The papers were also sitting atop each other, making it difficult to read any, without disturbing the pile. Vira was trying to be discrete, but -EFF that! She spotted something she wanted to read up on. It was under some others, and what she could make out said 'EVIL' at the top, with some papers covering the rest of the word. It read not what you'd expect. Not 'eee', 'eh'. With no pretenses, she bent down, snatching up the paper out from under the pile. Sure enough, it read 'THE DEVIL' at the top, just like she had thought. Her eyes quickly scanned it. It read like a report of sorts.

"The Devil. The mysterious blackish figure that rules The Devil and His Demons. From eyewitness reports he is said to be nearly 7 feet, with a hulking, imposing figure and shape. Eyewitnesses were unclear, but it appears everything about him is dark, menacing, twisted, and evil. He corrupts the very area around him. Not much else is known about him. He is speculated at S Rank. Due to the fact that he rules one of The Big Three. From eyewitnesses, he is said to be a very unkind individual. Harsh, mean, and easily angered. He has no quote "cool" or "chill". Anything he shows on the surface is simply a facade. What lies underneath is and I quote -"Evil". Do not trust. Do not engage. If you see this Abnorm. Warning!! Flee, get away! At all costs!"

That's where it ended. Yup, that seemed about right. Except an exact image of a man came to her mind. A man, she could recall every detail on his face. He did have a tall, imposing figure, but she could remember everything else. He had skin, like anyone else. Dark eyes. A scowl, except when he smiled towards her specifically. The page made it sound like he was a monster, but she remembered a man. Almost... a kind one.. -at times, anyway. Fatherly.

Her eyes threatened to tear up, but instead, they narrowed in a glare. She crumpled up the paper, and shoved it within her garb. "You have some real shitty info," Vira growled to the captured, accosted Hunter. "Seriously, it's bad. You need to get your shit updated." Her eyes glanced over at him; he was still bound and in trouble it seemed. Well, it was no wonder. He was a Hunter surrounded by Abnorms, after all. And yet... Surprising herself (and probably everyone around her), Vira growled out to Rose. "Oh, let the fucker go. He's clearly too weak to do anything. He also probably doesn't know jack shit about your.. what was it? 'Big... Boss'?? Oh, whoever the hell they are. Let him go." Why did she want the Hunter to be released? Well, cuz that infernal sister of hers appeared in her head again, complaining about his treatment. It was this wicked treatment of him, that made people hate Abnorms. Sure, it was because Hunters were merciless in their pursuit of Abnorms... But it was a circle. Both sides were terrible to each other. Both sides needed to just.. stop and be more friendly with each other, to try to repair whatever had been damaged... Or some such nonsense. Whatever! Ellie's incessant nagging was something Vira struggled to listen to, and struggled harder to act on. Which, oddly, is what she had managed to do just now! Vira stood there, staring blankly at Rose (and Kore), expecting her order to be fulfilled.

Snow
more%2Bblood.gif

Snow was running when suddenly her feet could not move. But the momentum carried her small body forward and she started to fall. A gasp came out of her surprised lips as she put her hands out, bracing herself for the impact which never came. Instead ivy wrapped around her and pushed her standing. Gentle but confining. Snow was trapped. The feeling of being trapped scared her more, her thorns now not just poking through but the stems growing as they wrapped around her shins in an x pattern. She winced, closing her red eyes as her hair lost more and more of its color. It was as white as well… snow.

“P-please. If you are going to keep me trapped like t-that hunter j-just know it-it won’t work out well for you i-if you do i-it by h-hand. D-don’t t-touch me.” She stuttered out, her speech even worse when she was shivering. Her teeth were chattering in fear and she flinched as Kore kneeled by her. But for one split second her attention was taken in by something else.
Ryu.
He was… he was sparing the Hunter from his torment. She shook her head, bringing her attention back.

“Yes. You can’t t-touch where’s there thorns. Y-you’ll g-get cut.” Her eyes opened, filled with big elephant tears just welled up. Her bottom lip was trembling as she pulled at the grass and vines, hyperventilating. “I-I don’t like be-being c-caged.” Snow tried to get out, desperate to focus on Kore’s words. Kindness… yes she supposed she had that. But it was a weakness Snow wished was gone. She was a kitten in the midst of tigers. Her claws were nothing. Her teeth were nothing. Compared to the others she was nothing.

“They won’t. I… I can’t control them.” Snow whispered as Kore spoke. “They just do this, I’m so-sorry.” Snow cried, the tears falling as she shook, feeling bad that the ivy wrapped around her was being torn by her wriggling. Her thorns were very sharp. “Th-they come out wh-when I-I’m scared o-or my adrenaline is running o-or sometimes just when it senses it.” She whispered not explaining what it was. Not explaining that it was in fact when her blood sensed power and demanded its host needed protection.

Snow felt like that to her Abnorms power sometimes. Just a vessel. A host. Snow herself could do nothing. She herself was as powerless as a human if not less. But her blood could grant power. Her blood could control the emotions of others. Her blood could create a juiced up bodyguard team. Snow was just the host to protect the special blood in her veins. The WG officer… he had made that very clear. Her parents had made it clear. Everyone who found out that her Abnorm was not just thorns had.
Her head snapped up as Ryu came towards her. She bit her lip, shaking as the thorns around her grew more. A sign of how scared she was. But he called her a lilly. How stupid, using pet names at a time like this. The thorns on her arms shrank. “I don’t believe that. I don’t… I don’t believe that I have to kill if I want to live. I… I’m n-not stupid. I’ve s-seen things too.” She whispered and chewed on her lip. It was marked on the inside with scabs from the nervous habit.
“Y...you talked as if you liked killing. I know I don’t know you. I know you don’t know me and I’m j-just a stranger. But how can I not be scared of someone who wants to hurt someone even when they have no chance of hurting you. He’s tied up. He can’t do anything to anyone.” Snow sighed, looking for a moment at Ryu, really looking at him. He was tired. He… he was trying to calm her. Maybe she shouldn’t be afraid.
Her thorns slid in completely, leaving her skin a gouged out gory mess. Her Legs had two criss crossing lines of torn out flesh. The thorns could not be seen so it wasn’t THAT deep. But… then he put on the mask. Her hair stayed white. Snow’s breathing hitched. Why? Why that thing? It scared her. Ryu didn’t scare her. Didn’t make her want to run. But… but this bloody masked stranger did. He smiled again. She breathed. The moment was over but Snow was still stuck and still debating about the people here.
“I… I said I would go with you Ryu. But you. N-not whoever it is when that mask is on. I don’t know you. I’m not going to pretend like I do or that just because you saved my life means we have a friendship. B...but I saw someone that I would like to be friends with. To know. A person who would take on an explosion for a stranger. I would go anywhere with that person Ryu. Not the person who enjoys being the killer.”

Lucca Malkovich
Location: Forest

Lucca had his brushes with death before, but while this certainly isn't his first, it was definitely one of the worst, probably THE worst ever. Never had he been surrounded by so many Abnorms while paralyzed and restrained. Some of them was even making fun of his file. That plant girl, calling him a pathetic excuse and an amateur and whatnot, she sounded exactly like the kind of person that would say that he's "compensating for something" had Lucca brought a bigger gun.

The there's the fox guy, frankly, he creeps Lucca out, flipping from murderous to flirtations on the go. And why does he constantly takes that mask of his on and off, make up your mind perhaps? What's with the mask anyways? You some kind of poser? Trying to be like some S rank fox demon lurking around in Asia? Now Lucca was not familiar with New-Asia, nothing that goes beyond that it's the Forever Army's territory and that bounty hunter weren't welcomed there, and while there should be some info on that front in the New-American branches of the League, most of the latest information should be in the New-European branches. But even then, Lucca had heard stories, nothing concrete, most of it being legends and superstitions, but they say there's a fox masked Abnorm with the ability of an S rank prowling about in New-Asia. Of course, the one before him now can't be the fox, this isn't Asia. Or what? Is the Forever Army interested in starting a fourth major faction here in America with some gang? To make the "Big Three" into the "Big Four"?That sounded like some crackpot conspiracy theory.

Suddenly, Lucca attention was brought back to the pink hair girl, now with a knife pressed against his cheeks. Apparently, she had just went through his files, even though they were making fun of it, and found something in regards to a certain "Big Boss" and "The Madame", the top of the Devil's Rejects. From the pink girl's concern, it was clear that she has some relation to them. But why? Why is someone from the Devil's Reject in Scarlett's gang? Could this be a gang coalition!? Could the Devil's Reject trying to amass power, perhaps enough to oppose the current Big Three? Could they be allying them selves with the Forever Army!? Lucca was going a bit crazy with his hunches, and it wasn't until he felt a cut on his cheek that he returned to a more grounded reality. Distinctively, he felt his left cheek burning, but before he could even protest, another cut went across the first, and Lucca, being paralyzed, had no choice but to take it with gritted teeth.

"Who put out the bounty you ask? Miss, I'm not sure who you think I am, but I only receive the bounties from the League, most hunters do, we don't know where they came from or who issued them."

This is it, isn't it, thought Lucca, they're going to kill me after squeezing out whatever he had to give. For the longest time, he had wanted to have someone's undivided attention, never had he thought that it would come true in this form. Is this like that thing they say, "be careful of what you wish for" or whatnot? Well, in his defense, when he wished for undivided attention, he definitely did not mean being surrounded by angry Abnorms looking to kill him in at least eight different ways.

But then, the angry lady stepped in, she too, made fun of this files. So what if they're outdated? That's the best he's got? What else is he gonna do, go knock on the guy's door and ask for an interview? But at least she isn't as blood thirsty, contrary to how she behaves. She of all people actually proposed to let Lucca go.

"Yes, this lady makes good sense." he found the need to speak up, "Let's listen to her, no?"

Boy, when he gets out of this, if he gets out of this, he'll have to submit a report to the League, about this apparently highly dangerous gang, about the possibly coalition, heck, he'll even throw in the bit about the demon fox and possible connections with the Forever Army. Of course, it'll be up to the higher-ups if they belief him or not, but hey, it never hurts to be a bit paranoid now and then.

Being one with zero combat capability (compared to everyone here at least), what Sera said most likely go through one ear (piss someone off) and out the other. It's not like Sera didn't know how to fight -- she can hold her own in plenty of situations. As a former soldier, her body was not weak. Her endurance, agility, and the like were all very good when compared to another human. Sera would be long gone if she wasn't tough. As a combat medic, she has been on both sides of the stretcher. As for shooting, Sera doesn't like to admit it, but her aim could be better. Her accuracy is decent, but only with a pistol is she reliable to hit.

How could she compare to the people currently around her? They were trained and skilled in killing. Sera was trained and skilled in the opposite, but which does the talking? She was very out of line when she spoke, and she knew it. But, a firm hand was placed on her shoulder and a confident voice backed her up. Jackson agrees with her. 'Thanks, Jackson.'

Of course, the verbal backlash came, but Sera expected it and it didn't faze her in the slightest. However, she refrained from saying more, as suddenly Kore adopted a malevolent air and presented before the group in a fantastic display of floral control: a sneaky hunter.

Very quickly everyone turned their attention to the hunter, saying their pieces and the little girl from before, Scarlett, reached up and pulled him out of the branches with ease. He began to babble out stuff that even Sera could tell were lies. Yet, she felt sorry for him. Not enough to attempt to save him though. Though no one knew yet, Sera, as an abnormal would inevitably become a target herself. Ruthless bounty hunters seeking her blood for money.

Much to her surprise, it was Vira who ordered the release of the hunter. Sera was too shocked to say anything to support her. With this "prey," almost everyone around her became a predator. It really sucked to be this man right now.

In all that was happening, Sera nearly didn't catch Snow running off, with Ryuji on her tail. Recalling how Snow said her wounds were self-inflicted, Sera wanted to make sure it didn't happen again. When she caught up to the two, she saw Snow in a gruesome condition. Taking a sharp breath, Sera threw down her bag and took out the last of her bandages and set to work putting Snow back together.

"You can go wherever you want with whoever you want, but whoever that person is better know how to not frighten you." Sera said.

Keiji watched as Scarlet rolled out of Patrick's arm and ran back to the area. Immediately, Keiji was dropped off and the both of them followed her back to a group who seemed to have caught the man that was previously at the bar's wreckage. While Patrick watched the scene play out, Keiji had gone over to the man and looked down at the hunter with a stare impossible to read. Then he picked up the book that was thrown unceremoniously on the ground and leafed through it. One thing caught his attention, a newspaper clipping from a few years back. He pulled it from the paper and looked around to the people in the area. There was a lot of them. The two who started the fight, two who also fought, the girl from the alley, the medic, the girl that Patrick had given bandages to, and a girl with bright pink hair. Scarlet of course was also here, and seemingly had pulled the hunter from out of the tree. Well, it best not to get on her bad side, not with that kind of strength.

Keiji then walked back over to Patrick. He noticed how Patrick had started to smoke a bit so he stayed back a bit to avoid the fumes. From the spot, he was sure that Patrick would still be able to see. "Hey Patrick, did you see this one?" He held up the newspaper clipping regarding a double murder and a missing child. "It looks like he's been keeping track of me, too." He read through the clipping again. Butchers, frauds, paper, it was definitely him. It brought back the memory of his punishment, and subconsciously he rubbed his back. When they got back, he wanted to burn the paper.

Kore Dair
Once the girl had calmed down, and the supposed medic was there, Kore let go of her, the plants around her became limp and fell away easily. Having done her job, she merely nodded to Ryuji, and stood, taking a few steps back and checking her bag of grains. It was still positioned on her shoulder, held mostly by the ivy. She thought about what he had said. Wasn't she always in her element? There was always plant-life around, even if it was hidden under 2 feet of concrete.
She rejoined the group, and faced the hunter, saying calmly, "He's seen us. Seen what some of us can do. No doubt he intends to go blabbering to his higher ups about each and every one of us. Regardless of whether we've shown to have powers or not. Which means every single one of us is a target.", she rubbed her forehead and sighed exasperatedly. "If you won't kill him, and you won't let me kill him, then he needs to come with us.", she groaned. This was not good.
"For a group that made so much destruction on a tavern, you sure have an odd sense of pity.", she shook her head and chuckled. These people were odd. Were they like most people? Kore wouldn't know.
She didn't need anything from the hunter, apart from if he would be so kind as to dig his own grave, but apparently to some that was off the table.
"If you let him go, you do realise I will have to track him and kill him later, right?", her voice was it's normal, soft self, which perhaps made her statement all the more powerful.

Jackson nodded at Kore's words "He can't come with us, Kore. If he does he'll learn more about us rather than if we let him go as much as I hate to say this. For the moment please allow him to live? Turning to Sera and Snow, Jackson put a hand out to snow and spoke, "If you want to you can run with Sera and I, I don't think we would mind. After all, we can take care of ourselves right? Snow, my name is Jackson also." Jackson at this time was being uncharacteristicly calm and warm due to how many abnorms were around. It reminded him of the time he ran with an abnormal guild for a while before leaving. Of course there was also the burning need to eliminate the hunter, but for the younger abnorms, he had to keep it under control because if he did not, he would rampage and hurt more people. It also helped that he wanted to protect rather than destroy in the first place.

Scarlett O'Hare

Scarlett stood there, holding the hunter and watching everyone She could understand killing him. She could also understand the point of them letting him live. She as she stood there, watching everyone she felt herself wanting to speak, but she was afraid. Her hands started to shake wildly as she thought about speaking her mind. Would these people hit her? Would they attack? Would she be just told to shut up because she was a dog? No, she wasn't a dog. She was a human, or at least trying to be one. Her mouth opened slightly as the fear filled her eyes. "I.....I think." She stopped for a moment before looking down at the boy. She was just a dog it'd be easier to just kill him. Just kill him. Be a good dog, protect your master. The words rang in her head. She could feel her muscles starting to contract. She was going to crush his leg then throw him as far as she could muster.

Just before though, a vision or a memory, Scarlett wasn't sure, flashed through her mind. "Scarlett, do you know why our family doesn't really use their powers?" Scarlett could feel herself shaking her head as the memory played. "Because we aren't just abnorms, we're humans too. We and the hunters breathe, we laugh, we love and we cry. So is it our place to take away that life from them?" The young Scarlett shook her head again. "Right. So just because you have the strength to kill someone, that doesn't mean you can do it. Remember that you are a special girl and the lessons that your family teaches you, okay?" Scarlett could hear her own voice in the memory agreeing.

Coming back from the memory Scarlett looked at the boy as tears rolled down her face. She wasn't a monster. She was a human. "I say we let him live." Scarlett's voice was barely audible as she spoke. Immediately, she flinched on instinct expecting to be hit. When it didn't come she looked to the others. "But we....." Scarlett took a deep breath as her anxiety continued to fill her. Any second now she expected to be shocked or struck by her master for speaking. "We can't just let him go. The pink haired girl told you. He's immobilized for a few hours. So if we leave him, he'll just die in a painful manner." Scarlett looked to Patrick. "I'll carry him until her power wears off." For once, Scarlett actually moved someone gently, putting him over her shoulders. This boy was her responsibility and the first step she had made to being human.

Ryuji Nakamoto

Ryuji looked to snow as she had spoken to him. So, she was willing to travel with him so long as he didn't wear the mask. "Well my little snowflake." Ryuji walked over to her and gently pet her head. The soft sensation of her hair reminding him of times back in New-Asia. "I can't promise you that I'll never wear the mask. If you won't fight then I will." He smiled as he continued the gentle motions of his hand. "But I'll let you know when to look away, so you never have to see that side of me. Do you think that can work?" Ryuji kept up the carefree smile as he spoke with her. Why was he being so nice to her? Simple. She had no reason to help the goon at the bar and yet she was risking her life to help. There was a time when Ryuji himself thought along those lines, but things change and the world of adulthood and darkness corrupted that innocence in him. Even with seeing trauma this girl was standing up to live it. That was enough reason to make sure she got to a safe place, then he could leave.

"Oh? The cherry blossom speaks?" Ryuji looked to Scarlett as she spoke. "And she's smarter than I thought. What an adorable little girl you've taken in old man." Ryuji turned to the man beside her whom seemed unafraid and unfretted by Scarlett. Either she didn't try to kill him earlier or the old man figured her could handle her. "Well, I think that's a perfect solution to this situation. The powerhouse carries he dead weight and that lets us move on from this topic. Or should we all keep standing around as the hunters keep getting closer?" Ryuji pointed towards the town where he could barely make out figures running about. "We don't have much time to waste now."

Rose Valencia

Rose turned to the bitchy woman and looked at her coldly. "You never know what the most unsuspecting prick is hiding bitch." Rose was now talking like her father. "This is just a guess but I bet that's why you don't trust people. You didn't get all the information from someone that you trusted and they stabbed you so fiercely in the back that you can't even face yourself." Rose was annoyed with this bitch's statements. Even if she was stronger, in a close range fight like this, it was nigh impossible for Rose's ability not to activate. Eye contact was hard to avoid in a battle. So Rose would speak her mind.

She clicked her tongue in disgust. Her momentary hope was squander on a bitch and this hunter that was completely useless to her. She would've killed him too if the damn girl holding him didn't become his shield. "Lucky bastard." She put her glasses back on and sighed as she finally let go of her stress. "Whatever. If he tries and shoot ya kid, that's your problem." She said with a cheery voice that was completely out of place with what she said. "Ultimately I just want to get to the next town. I need to get closer to the WG so I can kill every last one of 'em. They'll pay for everything the've done." She spoke clearly. Nobody knew who she was and even if this kid reported her to the LoBH it wasn't like there was any evidence to support his claim except the cuts on his cheek. And even then, nobody would believe tiny little her was the threat. It was just the way the world worked. If you were small, people looked down at you, thought you couldn't do anything. That is until you stabbed their throat and left hem gasping and bleeding on the floor. Rose looked to the plant girl with a serious look. "So, Kore? Was it? I hope you don't mind leading a big group, because it seems a lot of us are gonna follow you through here." Rose grumbled as she looked into the forest, she was still hungry and hadn't had any chance to hunt down food. This would be a bothersome trip.

There were so many conflicting opinions and people talking now, Kore was getting a headache. Rubbing her temples, she decided to address them one at a time. "I know that, Jackson. But if no one will put him out of his misery, he will have to tag along until someone does something. If you let him go, I will have to kill him.", her comment was blasé, as if she were commenting on the weather or something just as trivial.
"Who knows, he could indeed be useful.", she sounded doubtful, amused at the notion.
"Yes, my name is Kore.", she faced Rose, examining her with a piercing green gaze. "I... Well, this is the longest I've actually been around so many people. But that's fine. I'd be glad to show you all through. If any of you need anything, like food or rest or water... Just let me know and I'll do what I can.", she smiled softly, ignoring her paranoia and worries, although she still wondered what she thought she was doing.
"But Ryuji is right, we should certainly get going... Anyone who intends to come, that is.", she wondered how she would get all these people up the river. She did only have her canoe, after all, and it was only really suited for one person with some cargo, that being her heavy bag of grains. At least she would get to stretch her muscles, so to speak, and use her powers in a very creative way.

Jackson, at the mention of the WG by Rose, froze in place. She wanted to kill every single one of the WG which left Jackson uneasy. His parents were still WG and he'd like to spare them from her wrath. However, that would mean revealing his former association with them which would cause the group to think differently on him, in an angry change to be precise. He made a mental note to avoid speaking about the WG around Rose, until he could trust her more. Truth be told he wanted to get his parents out due to how he last left them, and Rose might be an avenue in. For now, Jackson shuffled away those thoughts and focused on the situation at hand. Turning to Sera he spoke, "you want to go with Kore?"

The slamming of a table echoes throughout the tavern as an oversize hand smashes another's bony hand upon the surface of the table. "Ahahahahaha!" A man laughs boastfully while the other gently caress his fingers, he swears if this goes on for the rest of the day, he might have to consider getting some prosthetics.

"Another one!" The giant sized man demanded, digging his elbow unto the table, ready for another arm wrestle. "A-a-a-a-a-a-Another one, Viktor?" The short one stuttered away. "Y-y-yu-yu-you You've already beaten me fifty eight times today, I-I-I don't think the next round's gonna be any different" He tried reasoning with the muscle head only to his demise as he was single-handedly dragged by the collar to meet Viktor face to face, "Another one! Now!" Viktor demanded again, and the wimpy man had no choice but to comply. "Wh-whoakay Viktor, just another one..." With great hesitant, he placed his elbow on the table for the fifty-ninth time as their hands clasped together.

It was at this moment when a young man dashed into the tavern, his shoes squeaked to a halt before he states his business. "There's trouble! The bar up north towards the forest had been destroyed..." He yelled at the top of his lung, even though the tavern only had five people in it. "Huh? So what? Local bar always served watered down beer anyway." Viktor shrugged, he couldn't care less about a bar he did not frequent. Unless...

"B-But, It was destroyed by abnorms, sir!" "WHAT!?" The response was immediate, the mere mention of any abnorms would have Viktor steaming and breathing ferociously through his nose. "UNEXCEPTABLE! No one destroys Viktor's favorite bar!" The chairs and tables shifted as he stands in a furious rage, his veins as visible as the Nile river along his arms. "F-f-f-favorite? You've never even b-b-b-been to that b-b-b-bar." Said the wimp, retracting his hand again and silently thanking God that he's been released. "Nonsense, all bar is favorite bar!" He rebutted, all the while wearing a sleeveless army vest over his black singlet. "Viktor go now!"

The wooden floorboard creaks as he darts towards to door, snatching his hunting rifle before he leaves and quickly heading up north. But just when he took a step out of the tavern he was in, the barkeeper noticed that Viktor was leaving and tried to catch him before he leaves, but it was too late. "Hey!" The middle aged woman yelled as she hurdled over the counter. "You haven't pay me again!" her voice fell on deaf ears as she stood by the entrance, and as if from out of no where, a red fox squeezed in between her legs, making her jump out of fear as it ran towards Viktor. "And keep that rodent out of my bar!" but again her warnings fell on deaf ears as the two silhouettes became smaller and smaller.

Snow

Snow bit her lip as she was released by Kore. The ivy was gone and now her injuries were fully visible to Sera who had come to help. She took a step back from Sera.

“R-really you don’t need to bandage me again. It won’t stay. I… I don’t want to waste them. Save them for someone else please. Someone who will need them. I’m used to it. Mine will heal fine. They always d-do.” She looked down and bit her lip. “It’s not other people… it’s me. Sometimes when I just get surprised they come out.” Snow sighed, sitting down, sniffing. She was such a nuisance. “T-thank you though Sera.” Suddenly her attention was back on Kore. They were going to bring the Hunter with them? Let him live? Snow smiled a bit, biting her bottom lip. Good. She didn’t want more blood on any of these peoples hands.

Her eyes turned to the masked man who approached her. He was vouching for the hunter to be let go. Kore was scary… kill him? No that wasn’t an option. “W-we have to take him with us. I… I don’t want him to die.” She said to the masked man. He was offering her a place? Wow… but Ryu still wanted to travel with her. Hide his mask self hmm… maybe… maybe that could work. Snow still trembled with the remberence of fear from that mask. But… but she liked these people.
“Jackson, Sera, Ryu. I… I would still like to travel with you all. B-but I can’t promise that I’ll be of any use. Or that… or that I won’t run again if I am scared.”
She looked at Ryu and bit her lip. “I… I can’t fight Ryu. My abnorm is… it’s despicable. It takes away freedom. It makes people loyal. I can’t imagine a situation where I would be useful making someone want to stay and protect me.” She stopped. Maybe she shouldn’t have revealed so much… well. They still didn’t know of the other things her blood did. And they weren’t yet aware of how it worked. No..no she was fine right? Right…?
Kore was speaking again. Get going. Yes that sounded right. Snow pushed herself to her knees with a wince, standing slowly on wobbly legs. The pain was a usual feeling but it still… well it was still a nightmare to handle. “Okay. We should go now right?”

"Yeah lets go," Jackson then frowned behind his mask as he saw Snow struggle to stand up; she was hurting herself while wanting to continue. Jackson spoke, "You're not able to walk Snow, you're hurting yourself. You don't need to do that if you're coming with us," Jackson then held out his hand, "come up on my shoulders, it will help your leg heal faster." It was commendable that she was willing to put on the display, but Jackson wanted to help her out by easing her pain. He wasn't about to have that on his conscience.

Vira
Vira looked from the bound Hunter to the pink-haired girl. Yeah, was she stupid? A random Hunter wouldn't normally have very specific information. Most probably didn't care to know more than 'target', 'this is their location', 'money' -- get. She continued to show her inanity with basically everything she said, with every way she acted, and her overall uselessness, and stupidity. When he commented on how she suggested he be freed, Vira glanced back down at him, giving him a sour frown.

Whatever, time to respond to this stupid 'Kore's' nonsense. "Hey, your'e the one who revealed yourself, idiot. The one flaunting her abnormality to random strangers. There's probably randos around," she mentioned, gesturing back towards the town, "whose seen your powers by now. You even said there was a warrant out for you. Psh, some low profile you apparently want -blatantly being an Abnorm before everyone. Quite careless. What did you expect of a Hunter? He looks at you and he sees the coin flowing. You can hardly blame him, bitch." She did say one thing Vira agreed with, she noted to herself, looking back towards the pathetic trapped Hunter, folding her arms in a pout again. She did have an odd sense of 'pity'. Thanks Ellie; you've made me into a weirdo.

She nodded towards the man with the weird punching power. "What he says is the truth. If you keep him around, he'll just learn more information. I said his shits outdated, but its more misinformed. Do you want heavily detailed bios of all the Abnorms here to find their way into the Hunters's hands? Huh?"

Someone picked up the guy. A small girl. An Abnorm with super strength. She gave an odd face, watching the odd sight of someone so small carrying around a paralyzed cowboy. They continued to chat about the boy's death, illiciting a roll of Vira's reddish eyes. "Whatever. Kill him. I'll be gone when it happens anyway." She tried. Tried to be amicable. Tried to show mercy, like her better half would. It seemed fruitless. Well, whatever; this sort of thing wasn't her business anyway. The acts of strangers were just that, random events that had nothing to do with her. If they killed him, or he somehow found himself freed, and he killed that 'Kore' girl... -That train of thought did honestly bother her; after all, Vira was an Abnorm, too, whether it showed or not. She was enemies with the BHs even if they didn't know it.- Whatever, but it still, technically, was not her problem. Probably honestly served the plant bitch right.

A contentious look flashed across Vira's face, and she stepped away, dropping her folded arms. "What?! I'm not going with you fuckwads! What a stupid notion! I'd be dead within a day! I just happen to be going this way!" With that, she spun on her heel and began the trek away, down into the woods. They whined about standing around 'waiting' for the Hunters to show?! She was the one who had tried to leave at a brisk pace! Their incessant whining was what kept the dark-haired chick from heading away!

Kore Dair
Kore looked up at the sky and groaned. How were these people alive?! If they wanted to let this hunter live.... Ugh, she didn't understand people. Best to stick with trees.
She sent a sidelong glance at Snow, "Well honey, it isn't the worst power in the world. Trust me.", she sounded incredibly bitter.
Where did that come from...? I don't have it that bad... A cold shiver went down her back, and a bad feeling settled in the pit of her stomach.
"Yes, we should definitely get going, but Snow. You need medical attention, and if you refuse that then at least let someone help.", she looked her over, her injuries seem pretty bad.
She looked around, her eyes settling on the angry woman who had been spouting misery to everyone. Kore usually would have let her leave, but something made her mutter, just loud enough for this foul mouth to hear. "Going through those woods are harder than you think, foul-mouth. But best of luck walking in circles.", she turned away again, expecting she'd never see this woman again. Which was probably for the best. Kore had a lot of patience, but when it ran dry... Well, people would know about it. And this woman would have no luck in the dense forests. She'd be slow, hacking a path through the dense undergrowth, and would certainly lose her way. The forest liked to play play tricks on people, and when one's surroundings look exactly the same for miles and miles, it was easy to become disoriented.
But foul-mouths words didn't really bother her. Sure, she had revealed her powers in front of these people, but apparently, none but the hunter were bothered. And she was going to kill him, anyway. No way would she let him live after seeing her, seeing what she could do! No, of course he was going to die. She didn't much like being called a bitch, but Kore wasn't really bothered by that either, she had been called worse by better people.
"So! Let's be on our way.", she smiled back at the rest of the group.

The loud stomping from behind her had ceased, yet in its place whistling begun. Viola felt perhaps more of edge upon hearing this, thinking, Oh geez. I'm not being stalked by one of those scarily chill insane people am I? Despite the thought Viola never turned her head to check. Face forward, and it will all end as she had just taught herself. She merely had to mind her own business, and everything was going to end happily.

Though the girl was sadly wrong.

A redhead suddenly slid next to Viola, forcing her to suddenly stop all movements she had done previously. With a silent yip, she took a short hop back and tightened her grip on her pocket knife. In a swift moment, the blonde swung it out and kept it between the man and herself - attempting to act as threatening as possible.

"Hiya! I'm 'fraid I'm gonna have ta lead ya outta here 'fore somethin' dastardly happens 'gain! Yer lucky I got here in time, ya know~?"

"We are going on an adventure!"

"Stay back! I've been trained by some of the strongest people in this camp! Also, I'm an A rank abnorm to boot, so don't mess with me!!!" she responded in a squeak, wildly waving her small knife in front of her. Both lies, and Viola was too caught up in the moment to make them sound truthful. Viola knew her intimidation factor was next to nil, though she still had to attempt.

They both however seemed slightly familiar, and she was sure she had passed them once or twice during her residence within the camp - though even with that information, Viola still was distrustful of the duo. She took two steps backwards and attempted to plan her escape route: perhaps throwing something at them as a distraction, or simply dashing as fast as she could.

Sera resolutely tightened the last bandage around Snow's upper arm. There goes the last of her medical supplies, but it was of no importance. She can easily obtain more. Patting Snow on the cheek, Sera smiled warmly at her.

"Nonsense. You have great qualities. Good, rare ones. And, you are so brave!" Sera whispered to Snow.

Without letting Snow protest, Sera expertly lifted her into a comfortable position on her back, using a technique she learned in the past to move a wounded person smoothly without causing further injury to open wounds.

"I'll take care of her, Jackson. It's better if my hands are tied. I have faith in your ability." She gave a nod to Jackson.

Next, she spoke to Kore. "Let me apologize in placd for that... woman. I'm honestly not too completely sure why I'm saying this but... could you somehow reroute her to us when we move? We have no business disturbing your... domain so it's in all of our best interests to move fast, right? And... thanks for everything."

"And we'll roooooooll the ol' chariot along~"

Watching her reaction and hearing her weak attempts at intimidation brought quite an amused grin to Adelphos' face. Leaning in closer, completely uncaring of the pocketknife she was wielding, his eyes gained a glint as he knew exactly how to mess with her. "Oh is that so? Well, that's quite fine an' dandy I would think, but ya know, why would the strongest people train an Abnorm of your strength hmmm? Not to mention..." He leaned in closer and whispered next to her ear. "I happen ta be the strongest fella in this camp by far. No question and no contest." Pulling back he started circling around her, the distinct aura of a predator sizing up prey filling up the air. "There's a reason all them desperate cowards ran when they heard me a-walkin'~ I'm a scary, scary guy! Hehehe..." It was a point that she could clearly see if she looked around, all the nearby spectators trying their best to not fall into his line of sight, which still never ceased to amuse the boy.

And just as fast as it was there, it was gone. No longer caring all too much about the girl in front of him, he threw an arm around the blind girl's shoulders, though it was a light touch, and gave the clearly lost and frightened girl another teasingly amused smile. "But clearly ya got yerself covered, I mean why else would ya need ta threaten people in such a panicked way, yeah? Clearly a clever ruse I fell ta, woe be me and me gullibility." He heaves an overdramatic sigh and begins fanning his face with his free hand as if he were faint. Straightening up he shrugged carelessly and looked down at the girl whom he had his arm around. "Ey Lil' Tombstone, ya got anythin' ta add ta the big scary well trained abnorm? We gotta drop by my place ta grab my gear 'fore we head out on yer adventure anyway~" Having said his piece and clearly losing interest in the proceedings he began lightly humming another sea shanty, in his own world completely.

Jackson nodded at Sera scooping up snow and said, "Ok." Although they couldn't see it, there was a grin on Jackson's face that was safely hidden behind his mask. He then walked over to Kore as they were beginning to leave and asked, "so, where are we going? Oh and if you really don't want that hunter following us, why not just leave him tied up on the side of a building with only his left foot open?" Jackson figured that way he would eventually be freed but it would take a very long time for him to do so earning them a considerable head start. Turning back to Sera, Jackson began again, "I wouldn't worry about her, unless we have to go and assist or save her."

Kevin let out a sigh as he listened the group go from talking about killing the hunter to letting him live...Then going back to deciding on killing him again...As he rests his face in the palm of his hand. "You guys just like to go full circle don't you?" He then looks around quickly. As he watches Kore for a moment as his eyes then landed on the masked figure. Walking over as he simply tilts his head slightly. "Well...Only two problems with that is with only having his foot exposed one could easily suffocate, while the second with that idea. Is that then we would probably be back in the same position....Just with more hunters."

Kore Dair
Smiling softly as Snow was given medical attention and helped, Kore stepped into the woods ahead of the group. There were a LOT of them, but some seemed to be keeping to themselves. "Well, this part of the forest is relatively clear, with no real undergrowth for about 1/4 of a mile. So if you had intended to go to the next town over following the road, then you would be able to traverse the forest.", she paused. "However, it is my intention to take you directly through the forest, which is huge, I might add. And arrive at a town quite a distance away in a few days, where hopefully there will be much less hunters. Like a new start.", she nodded, pleased with her response.
"My... Domain? What an odd way to put it... But yes, moving quickly is a good idea, although once we have reached the undergrowth, not really necessary.", she looked back at them.
"Well, the problem is not him following us, it is that he has already seen us. You all may make a decision here or there, but ultimately I have already decided my part. He cannot be allowed to live.", she looked at the hunter, her speech casual. "So in the end, I have no choice but to bring him. If he has any chance of living, you may want to come up with a way to wipe his memory.", she sighed. Unless one of these people had such a power, which she doubted greatly, they probably wouldn't have much of a chance.
"If she truly intends to go deep into the forest, then we will most likely see her again. Rerouting her is... Possible.", although Kore had never tried such a thing before, it didn't seem like it would be much of a challenge, "But I'm not sure it will come to that.".
She carried on walking, expecting those who intended to come to follow, and she checked her pace, making sure she was going slower than usual for Sera and those who had a slower pace.

"agreed Kore, we should get moving" Jackson began. "I know what it's like to get a fresh start, it's both a blessing and a curse because while you're starting over, thats just it; You're on your own. Although this time with all of us, it shouldn't be that hard." ~Unlike 5 years ago~ Jackson said under his breath. "And yes, more likely than not, we'll run into Vira again. Also, I really hate ending people unless theres no alternative."
