The Kingdom of Zirix was always a cruel land. It wouldn't be far fetched to call the king a dictator. It is a powerful kingdom with a terrible practice of slavery. Corruption, mistreatment, and trafficking are all common as the nobility see people as nothing but cattle and livestock. With fear rooted into the citizens and slaves of the kingdom, the dynasty that started this system has been around for three generations. A whole fifth of the capital is reduced to slums which are a target of slavers, the people who can make a decent living are heavily taxed and have little spare money.
People are begging for the king's demise as well as that of all the corrupt nobles. They want Zirirx to become a kingdom more fair to its people and to end the slavery system. The long prayed day may soon arrive as a small resistance begins to form in the capital. Will it be enough to take down the king though? With no other way, it seems that the only way to end the tyranny is to kill the king and those loyal to him.
