Fantasy The Counsel Of Shadows and the Elders of Old

Rhys nodded and was about to say something when the idiot decided to break free. Shooting a glance at Tatsu, he only gave a quickly cheeky grin, shrugging slightly. This guys fate was pretty set in stone as soon as he attacked Morgan. Sitting there as he ranted to her about Morgan's presence in the castle, she started tapping a finger against the armrest, her expression becoming one of pure annoyance and anger. Before he was even done with his rant, Rhys was up and moving. Walking at an inhumanly speed, faster than even the normal vampires, Rhys suddenly appeared in front of the guy. Grabbing hold of the front of his shirt as she stared down at him. He may be taller height wise but she could easily stare him down and he'd feel like a mouse trapped in a corner.

Her normally calm pale colored eyes glinted dangerously as her fangs slid into view through her lips. "Listen here buddy." she growled lowly, power and authority exerting from her being. Anyone looking in through the doors instinctively flinched and dropped back a step, fear coursing through their blood. Their Master was angry and that
never resulted in anything good. Even Tatsu and Shauna who knew her very well personally we rather taken back by this sudden outburst. Displays of power and rank weren't something that Rhys often displayed but here she was, full on reminding them of the power she possessed. Sharing a look, Tatsu and Shauna silently agreed that it was probably the meeting that had just ended that sparked this response. Rhys hated being looked down upon and four of the six other counsel members loved to mock her power which was a dangerous game since she had never actually shown what her powers were from the witch side.

Anyway, she was standing over this guy, power and pulsing off of her like no tomorrow and her dominate authority clearly present. The guy had to be a fool to do anything dumb now. "First of all, do not
ever question where my loyalties lay. I will kill you faster than you can beg for mercy." she hissed in an even tone which was far scarier than her yelling. "Second, my name is Lady Rhys or Master. Learn some respect."

"Wait what? It's not like you've really cared for formalities!" the guy protested.

Pale eyes darkened considerably as Rhys looked down at the tall man, a dangerous glint sparking. "I may not enjoy being addressed in such a way but you directly speaking to me in such an informal way only to complain about my decisions in such an unsightly manner." she answered evenly. "Moving on. I'm not an idiot, I know word spread that
I BROUGHT her here into this house. If you have an issue with who I bring into this House, you come to me directly. It doesn't matter if she's unclaimed or whatever, she's my guest here and you know very well you are not to touch the guests." Rhys continued with a growl, her voice booming through the dead silent house.

At this point, Rhys seemed to remember that Morgan was in the room and is was pretty easy to tell that Morgan was rather... delicate. Turning her attention away from the idiot in her clutches, Rhys looked at the witch, her expression shifting slightly to a slightly calmer one. "Thank you for identifying him. I apologize for his behavior, he knows better." she said, shooting a deathly glare in the guys direction. "It will not happen again. I'll find a couple people to guard you. For now, fallow Shauna to your chambers. The rest of you! Back to work."

Turning her attention back to the vampire
still in her clutches, she spoke once more. "'I should be allowed to do as I please with her', I certainly hope you don't say that because she is a female. Would you say the same if I brought a male here that you didn't like? I wonder." Rhys stated in a mocking tone now, voice dripping with sarcasm, her grip tightening even more. "I'll give you one chance to re-explain yourself and it better be a good explanation."

Of course things didn't just end there, they just had to keep right on going for before she knew it, the Shadow was back and this time, in her House. This pissed Rhys off even more, her mood already starting to tip of the tipping point. Waving a hand at the poor boy, she dismissed him to go return to whatever. She also dismissed the majority of the guards, sending them back to their other jobs. Tatsu and Shauna remained, their gaze trained on the Shadow as they stood silently. About five others remained as well, just standing there calmly and waited.

"Shadow." she greeted coldly. "Next time, enter normally or I will personally kill you." Rhys threatened, not at all in the mood to deal with the Shadow's whatever. "As for whatever Morgan is or your painfully annoying existence, I really don't care at the moment. I will say, I'm pretty sure she's the only one of her kind left. I'm well aware of the entire situation but as you see I have other things to talk care of." she growled, shaking the guy in her grip slightly as she bared her fangs in his face, letting him know he was
not off the hook.

"Now, if you wanna talk I suggest you get out right now and come back some other time. That means walk up to the front doors, knock and then
wait. Do not enter ever again uninvited. If it's that important, wait in the main hall and I will come to discuss this. Give me your answer and then leave, I'm not in the mood to play around."

Kaleb smiled and tilted his neck a bit, feeling her breath on his skin. He knew she was messing with him but it was fun and it had been awhile since he has fun. He was about to run his hand up her back softly but his words stopped her.

"I don't..." before he could finish, she was gone.

"Okay, she's gone again." He said out loud to himself. He was gonna follow her but he she moved too fast for his energy to track. He would have to find her again. This new Amber seemed fun.

Morgan watched and shuttered as Rhys verbally tore into the man that attacked her. She looked deadly and scary unlike how she had seen her moments before. With ever second that past, Morgan wondered more and more if this was a safe place to be. She knew clearly that Rhys was very powerful and respected in this place but to all the people in this house, she was unclaimed as he stated. What if there were more like him the believed in the same thing. But at the same time, she would have no protection if she was outside. It was dark and there were things in the dark that whispered in the shadows and creature that would kill her in seconds. She wished none of this has happened but she had to try and run. Now she was in a room with a bunch of angry vampires talking about how she should live or die.

Morgan was unable to speak, for she was scared she would stutter and sound even weaker. She lowered her head as she passed by the angry vampire that wanted to kill her. Taking one look back at him before she left out the door, she saw his eyes meet hers and there was deep hatred behind them. She quickly turned away and followed Shauna out of the room. The door close behind her and Morgan was about to ask where she would be staying but a voice from the room she was just in stopped her.

"Amber?" Morgan whispered. She moved back to the door but didn't go in. She just wanted to hear.

It sounded like Rhys and Amber having an argument about what she was and what she did when she died. A shiver went down her spine as they spoke about Blood witches. What were they? Morgan moved back and tried to remember where she had heard the name before. It was part of her studies with Juin when they grew up but she never looked much into Witch history due to her being a witch and was scared people would make connections, however impossible it was. She kept her studies more towards the history of the treaties and they Fae folk. Juin studied Vampires and Werewolves more.

So whatever was happening in the forest was her fault? What did she wake up?

Shauna grabbed her arm lightly to get her attention. When Morgan looked at her, she was shaking her head and nodding to the direction of her room. Shouldn't she listen? Even if it was about her?

She wanted to listen but it was best she went to her room and rest. This would all make more sense once she had some real sleep.

Carrying her bag, violin case, and staff, she made her way to her new room for the moment and bowed her head in thanks to Shauna.

The door closed behind her when she entered the room.

She was alone again but hopefully, this time, an angry vampire would attack her.

What was she going to do tomorrow and where would she go? She couldn't stay here the whole time.

Laying on the bed, she held her staff up above her and wondered where she got it from. The red gems at the tip glittered in the moonlight that came in through the window. She never had this before her death but it felt like it belong to her. She could feel a connection to it like it was a part of her in a way.

It was so long and huge tho, hard to carry around. As she started to doze off, the staff in her hand started to shrink in size. By the time she was passed out, it was as long as her hand. Morgan turned on her side and curled up with it, falling into a deep sleep.

Morgan sat next to the river, her dress tied up so it wouldn't get wet and a book opens in her lap. Her feet were in the cool and clear water. The sun above her was starting to lower but she didn't care. She had finished her chores for the day and just wanted to relax by the water.

"How'd I know you would be here?" Juin's voice spoke softly from behind her. Morgan quickly looked around to see Juin crouching behind her and smiling. Her raven black hair was down from its normal bun and flowed around her face and shoulders. Morgan couldn't help but blush and turn back to her book.

"Because this is where I always am." Morgan replied sarcastically. Juin laughed and moved to sit next to her by the water.

"What are you reading?" Juin asked while snatching the book from Morgans lap. Morgan laughed and tried to grab it back but Juin held it up and looked into it. "My my, the studies of Fairy Magic."

Morgan reached up, laughing, and grabbed the book back.

"Yes, and your point is?"

"You have a strong love for Fairies."

"Maybe. I think they are interesting. They are considered so beautiful and they can never lie but yet they are the masters of manipulation. They can hide something by twisting the truth and you would never know."

Juin rolled her eyes and bumped shoulders against Morgans.

Closing her book, Morgan looked towards the wall in the distance. The wall others said that was meant to protect them when in reality it was to keep humans from going out into the world.

They both sat there in silence, watching the sky. Morgan was so thrilled to be next to Juin.

Juin kept moving closer and closer, making Morgan's heart fly. Soon Juin was close enough to rest her head against Morgans shoulder.

Morgan froze for a moment but then turned her head to look at Juin. Juin was laying her head down by her eyes were looking up into Morgans.

Time was still and all the animals in the forest around them were silent.

Lifting her hand up, Morgan gently cupped Juin's cheek and leaned down.

Gently their lips touched and everything was gone around them. It was only Juin and her.

Juin raised her hand and brought Morgan closer to her as their kiss deepened.

When they released, Morgan let go the breath she was holding and smiled.

"I never knew. So long I've wanted to tell you..." Morgan's voice was soft.

"Tell me what?" Juin smirked.

"That I love you."

Juin smiled and kissed her again. More playful and happy this time. When she moved away, she ran her fingers through Morgan's hair and giggled.

Something was off.

Juin was different. Her neck looked swollen and bruised and there were leave and dirt in her beautiful black hair.

Morgan could only stare at her. Around her everything changed. When she tried to move, she was now tied to a pole with people around them. Juin was still in front of her, holding her hand in Morgans' hair. Quickly she clutched it and pulled Morgans head up.

"Love me? And what? You think I love you?"

Juin was even more changed now. Her eyes were white and bloodshot.

"How could I ever love a witch."

Juin moved back as Morgan screamed for her. Men stood in front of her and held their guns up. Morgan closed her eyes as the shots rang out.

Jolting awake, Morgan looked around the room and sat up. It was only a dream mixed in with memories. Something about Juin's eyes haunted her. Sitting up and clutching her legs, Morgan cried. This time, it was a deep but silent cry. One filled with mourning.
