Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

She had never mentioned her name to anyone else other than Demi. Something was very strange. Elador. She thought in the back of her mind as her orb phased into a huge sword. Elle gets up, feeling a bit better than before, the weight of her sword wasn't as heavy as earlier. An electrical charge rose within the sword as it glew. Elle silently ready for any possible moves.

Fureha sighed, pressing the little creature to her chest before sharing her candy with the shade a small giggle escaping her lips as his tongue dissolved the hard candy. "So cute..."

"I'm not going to hurt you... I just.. I need your help," Minerva's voice cracked and she could feel herself getting more and more frightened. She could almost feel the powerful presence of things that weren't completely human around her.

She stopped in a hallway and rubbed her arms, scratching nervously at her forearms. She didn't like not knowing. But she would not give up. These people were the only ones who would help.

"Please," She half-cried. "People are dying and-"

As Minnie took a step forwards, she tripped on something scampering across her foot and fell, with a small scream, onto the hardwood floor.

Her head hit the ground hard, but she blinked through the fuzziness tingling the edges of her vision. Her fingers inched into her pocket and she grasped the Jammer.

They can't.. touch it...

"..." Error held his hand as if motioning them to wait. He quickly put down his Tombstone and looked at the woman. His Heartgaze making him look more threatining. "Want?" He said as he pried the device off her and threatened to impale her with his umbrella.

She wanted to scream, but it came out as a weak moan. "No.. It's dangerous... to Codes! You mustn't," She could feel herself shaking out of her dizziness, sitting up quickly. This is a disaster.

"You can't hold that! It will absorb your energy- you can't! Please, put it down!" She begged with the Code before her.

She scrambled up, trying to dance around the umbrella and snatch, or at least hit away the Jammer.

"It's a Jammer," she cried "it'll jam your powers."

Error looked at it and tossed it into the air. In one quick motion he shot the device with the umbrellas and returned to it's original position. "Purpose?" He said as it opened, revealing several bullets and blue energy.

Shura hummed as the jammer was destroyed. Didn't seem to be doing its job properly. With a sigh he glared at Minerva, one of the few moments his facial expression changed. "What is it you want?"

Sturs smiled. Happy she found at least something cute.

"You know ... it's times like these I wish these wings were for more than just looks." The wings flapped rapidly as if they were annoyed.

"Yeah, you do that. Still got nothing."

Then again, neither did he. So far he'd found a family of field mice, which had been nice well ... it had been, up until the stray cat he'd run into next devoured them. But he supposed at the end of the day, that was the general state of the world. Eat or be eaten. Hunt or be hunted. You know .. that jazz.

When the cat made a pass at him, he kicked it away from him and sighed. "Attacking a wounded Code? Poor form Mr. Whiskers."

But it was becoming rapidly apparent there was nothing to be found by wandering around somewhat aimlessly on the vacant debris filled streets that forged pathways between crash sites. So with a casual flick of his wrists, he took to scaling the nearest building. Assuming there was anything, or anyone to be seen, this would be the way to do it.

So after scanning the horizon, he proceeded roof hopping.

At the very least; it beat walking.

Listening to everything, her muscles eased a bit whilst her sword restores its charge. The electrical sparks flying around reduced to nothing; the sword simply glew as normally as the orb would. Elle sighed a bit from relief. It was only a few minutes after she'd dulled from the pain of her leg and now this. Breathing that once rushed through her lungs slowed.

Demi stayed quiet, her eyes watching the human woman. She had no thoughts on this in general, other than the feeling of stupidity on the humans part.. asking for help yet bringing something that would be used against them.

Fureha smiled, Looking up at her two companions. " His name is Trixx" shrugging softly she looked down. "Bether..... wanna try some candy, Sturs had some" Her child like face moved to face him, Eyes pleading for him to tell her yes. All she wanted was to inflict a little pain, shouldnt bother him too much.

Error was getting impatient. "Purpose!?" He asked again. The blue energy glowed and the tip of his weapon lit up with the same blue glow. "Speak!" He said as he further pressed the umbrella onto her. His Heartgaze analyzing her.

Shura put a hand on Error's shoulder. "Be calm."

Sturs sighs, deciding to think up a name after his talk with Bether. "The plan to blow up the Code Complex went splendidly. We still have a lot to do though. That being the case I wanted to ask you if you wouldn't mind leading an army to Earth. I do not think I am much of the leader type. Is that fine with you?" He asks before looking to Fureha. She was probably about to get in trouble.

Minerva gaped as the Jammer fell to pieces on the floor. It didn't do anything?

Minnie jumped at the object being waved in front of her, stepping backwards.

She straightened up and brushed off her skirt, looking at the Codes standing before her. She looked to the taller one as he spoke. "You're Shura I suppose, Shura Matabei, Forbidden Code Asura. I know all about you." She gave a small smile, concealing her nervousness. "I know all about the crash to, and I can help." She glanced around and began to subconsciously and compulsively scratch her forearm again.

She smiled at Shura, before looking at the Code in front of him.

"Error T? Code Fear?" Minerva frowned. I didn't know he was here..

"I know you probably don't want to help us, but there are innocent people dying, and you two, and Demi and Elle, are the only ones who can help." She gestured at the shattered Jammer and said weakly, "As you see, we still haven't mastered this technology,"

But as she spoke, the Jammer scraped along the floor quietly, not seeming to catch anyone's attention. Minnie continued to talk.

"I'm Chief Minerva Jones, Head of the Strategy and Tactical Department of HDF," she stated proudly.

She cleared her throat, "I didn't mean any harm, I was going to destroy the Jammer to earn your trust... Though I guess I can't do that now..." She smiled sheepishly.

"Well ok better be sweet" he replied, a tooth ache occurs "i forgot I didn't brush my teeth last week" he said."Anyway maybe i can send some army if i can" he said to Sturs

Shura hummed once she finished talking. "Humans are untrustworthy. Though I suppose they don't deserve to die. At the very least, I will assist you," he states with a frown, "but don't expect anything else. If I do this I'm not going to be following your orders or going somewhere else with you. Once the Shade are dead I'll be taking my leave. The Complex is gone. Our lives are our own now."

Error stared at her for a few moments before shooting the Jammer with blue plama bullets. "..."He said. He paused before firing several bullets at it. "Good measure." Dark Chains appeared and bound her. "Truth?" He asked as he gave the chains a good tug. He took a deep breath. "Don't try to lie to me, you know who I am and what I can do."

Fureha giggled popping a small chocolate into Bethers mouth, tilting her head to the left he let her multi colored eyes stare at him. "you should know me by now, my candy isnt normal... that candy your eating will eat away your innards" Giggling softly she moved a small distance away, using her large amount of red hair to hide. She had a knack for getting into trouble and messing with the others bodies was one of her biggest, she could do what she wished to herself but most didnt like heer playing with this, Sturs was the only one who let her play without getting angry so far.

Sturs shook his head. One of these days he was sure she'd get a taste of her own medicine - and she'd probably like it.

Minerva heaved a sigh of relief "Oh, thank y-"

Suddenly chains were tightening around her. She gasped and wheezed in a breath and widened her eyes at Error. "Please..."

The pieces of the Jammer that had been shot at so many times, still wriggled along. Quietly, one of them attached to Error's leg and send a small click of electricity into his skin. Unknown to Minerva, this was how the Jammer was activated, and how it disabled a Code's power.

Her still throbbing head, combined with the suffocating chains started to make Minnie feel weak. Her eyes fluttered closed.

Is this how it ends then? She thought, rather dramatically, her head clouding and her eyes swimming.

"Stop it.." She said weakly "Please,"

She looked at the human with a straight face as she listened intently to her plea. Despite of the first impression, she had answers to our Code Complex. Elle thought about the dying humans she was trained to help save. Humans are so tricky and fast to convince others otherwise. She then heard Shura making this statement on the manner. Not too long after, observing Error's reactions. "Regardless of how ironic this has become. I'll also help" I'll just keep a closer eye on things. She thought. Feeling sorrow for the captain, she suggested for Error to calm down and release her. "It's best not to kill her since she's of use." She sounded harsh and her stern eyes confirmed the sincerity.

Hopping from roof to roof was definitely better than legging it, The Extant finally decided. Less claustrophobic this way, too. He hopped from the roof of the building he was on to the next.

But to say the view was better, would be a bit ...

"Place is almost as messed up as my ro- oh dear."

No sooner had the words come out of his mouth, he proceeded to crash through the ceiling of the room where the other Codes and the Human had assembled.

Standing up and brushing himself off casually, he cleared his throat and said;

"Don't mind me.. though you might wanna let up on the chains."

"..." Error let her go as he reacted to something at his leg and pulled it out, tossed it into the air and melted it with plasma. He then turned to the remains and melted them as well, and again, and again, and again until there was no trace of it. Any remians that tried to attach to anyone else where melted with precision and vindiction. "...!...!!!!..." He said as his leg bled out and he walked away.

Minerva was still wriggling in the grasp of the chains when something crashed through the roof. Too shocked and deprived of air to scream, she just stared as the dust cleared.

She was startled as she was suddenly dropped to the floor and watched Error stalk away, looking slightly pissed.

This wasn't a bad idea per se Minerva, this would've gone worse if you'd attacked... Yes, you're doing fine.

Her ear piece crackled to life, a voice mumbling something through the bad reception.

"Sorry, what?" Minnie choked out.

"I said, we're in position, where are you Chief?" There was a moment of silence while Minerva caught her breath. "Chief? You okay there?"

"Yes!" She spluttered, "Yes.. I'm fine."

"Well.. Do we have the go-ahead?" The Private asked impatiently.

"No, I think," she stopped to clear her throat "I think they're willing!" She tried to say brightly.

Strange sort, these guys. Chain guy was a Code though, so it was a start. Pretty sure the others were familiar as well .. But he couldn't place the faces, and there was no hope with the names...

But the Human was saying something about 'willing', which was strange since he didn't remember agreeing to anything just yet ...

Minerva would find herself face to face with the Extant, who merely held out a free hand to help her up, and looked at her with his expressionless mask of a face.

"Say what now?"
